Seemed to be the local hangout spot so we were trying to be quick but no such luck. Eventually I stood back & spotted something, yep cache signed & off on our way to Palmy. Tftc

This one had us searching in the wrong spot initially. Was about to give up, then kimbathelion said, I think I see it. Yey. Tftc

03-Mar-23
Great clue and like others, was able to spot as soon as we jumped out of the car. However, had to wait until muggles left the site, to actually retrieve the cache. TFTC

That was funny. We just happened to park the car in a spot where kids could see it before we even made it out of the car. Now to go look at the water feature. TFTC .

I was driving past and because the view looked so amazing I had to stop. Also noticed that there is a cache so ticked that one off as well, tftc!

05-Jan-23
Cool view if a little noisy by the road. Quite disguised by all the rubbish nearby so we got rid of some of that! TFTC

Didn't need it but thought I'd fix the damp logbook issue. Not needed. The original log is fine, but I rebagged it in a fresh ziplock bag as the old one was holey. All good here. Cheers TFTC

Looked all around the bent over "thing" couldn't find it at all. The groud looks really over turned, maybe council took without realizing?

07-Feb-21
We stopped off here on our way to Mangaweka.

After admiring the views we got to work looking for the cache. The GPS seemed to be content with going to one place so after searching surrounding areas I went back to where the GPS said.

After doing some CITO and searching a bit more the log was soon in hand.

TFTC makra!

Day 9 of a road trip with Saethwr around the lower North Island. Caching not a priority, but we will get a few.
Ohakune to somewhere around Fielding.
Pulled in for the view, and a bonus was the cache.
Innards still a bit damp. The whole area around GZ could do with a good CITO, but don't have anything to collect the stuff in.
Kayakers on the river - a wet start for us today, but it's fine and warm now!
Thanks for the smilie makra.

One of eight located on our drive home from Morrinsville to Wellington today. We were able to travel at a more leisurely pace on our return trip than on our way up, thus having more time to pick up a few caches along the way. Took a brief moment to spot this one. Great view over the river from just a few metres away. #3595. TFTC.

19-Dec-20
For obvious reasons this cache has always been on our must do list, but previous visits in both 2009 and 2010 were unsuccessful. After 10 years it was time for another try. The new hint was difficult to conceive, and it was a case of making a lengthy search until eventually we did find it. Despite the siting of a rubbish bin only a few metres away, there is a lot of rubbish around the cache location. We did do a little CITO. TFTC

14-Oct-20
We are currently heading down in Wellington for a family wedding this weekend, and making a bit of a roadtrip of it, and obviously picking up some smileys along the way. Disappointed to see the amount of rubbish around here but TFTC Smile

07-Oct-20
Ohakune to Fielding today. Planning to attend the event there this evening. Collecting as many caches along the way as we can. Had to wait for some muggles to leave. Cache rather exposed but otherwise fine. Thanks

I stopped here for a cuppa on my way from Ohakune to Marton.

I really enjoyed the stop as there was a cache to do as well.

Out: TB.

Cheers for the cache.

12-Aug-20
We found the cache then climbed the extra bit to admire the view. Covid has cut our 18 day road trip back to 7 days and we were heading from Auckland to Wellington finding a few caches on the way. Left a TB here.
Thanks.

Trouvee sans souci ! Merci pour la cache !

19-Feb-20
How frustrating, I had no cars behind me for ages and the minute I wanted to pull across the road to grab this cache I had a speedster up my bumper and had to keep going. I got to the bottom of the hill before being able to pull over, turn around and head back up for the search.

14-Feb-20
TFTC - On a north bound road trip and this was find number #4.

Was obvious on arrival so will try to rehide as best as I can.

20-Jan-20
Not where I expected it to be. But the GPS was right on.

Gorgeous view of the bridge, pity my photos included overgrown grass

Almost muggles as initially free from cars but had 3 join us just when I was rehidding

Found by Geowife and so glad as hayfever was driving me mad! Great view from the lookout. Thanks CO for the cache.

12-Dec-19
We were heading south today and we happened to have the real canine Sherlock the puppy in the back of the car. When it became apparent that he needed a walk we pulled over. Naturally I checked to see if there was a cache in the area and was nicely surprised to see that there was one only meters from the car. So a nice quick find here.... and I see that I am the second finder for the day. The log book has been signed and the cache is nicely back in it's spot all ready for the next hunter. Thanks heaps for taking the time to set up this cache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so. TFTC

Together with TEMBO! I had a really interesting geocaching-trip today. We could find some geocaches, met some locals and had a great talk to them.
Concerning this geocache I want to say thanks because we had much fun in searching and finding this geocache! The cache made our trip even more interesting!
TFTC!

The cliffs are amazing! Thanks for showing us this place! And Thanks for the cache and greetings from Hamburg Germany

28-Oct-19
Bit of an adventure to find this one. GPS had me going down the cliff to begin with, then wanted me to go back up, then fixed on one spot for some time near a water runoff pipe which I gave a good weeding of the grass in desperation to find the cache. Then finally took me to the correct location where I found the cache. Tftc.

21-Aug-19
A muggle turned up just as we were about to search so we had to wait for him to leave. It was then a quick jump over the orange mesh to retrieve the container just as the sun was setting. Our last find of the day. Thanks makra.

25-Jul-19
GZ was cordoned off with orange mesh and I was inclined to leave this for another time but my crazy hubby didn’t let that stop him and quickly had the container in hand. Great views from the top! TFTC

07-Jul-19
This was a great easy find. Did involve a little climb over but replaced exactly where it was.
Thanks

Great little roadie on our way south for a few days. Logged with Cachly template. Many Thanks for bringing me here. May need checking or temporary disable as now behind an orange safety fence. Cheers anyway was able to climb over in between traffic.

On a planned geocaching trip with specific targets.
1: The final 2 caches to fill my D/T grid
2: The last 5 caches available (all in the South Island) to meet the NZ Jasmer challenge GC4R9Z6
3: Get as many caches as possible in a day (Solo)
I had no timetable and only a vague route (Christchurch - Dunedin- Invercargill). So after 20 days of sleeping in my tent/car I arrived home having traveled 4500km and visited some interesting places. Met some great people. I had found over 650 caches. That was a lot of park. Jump out out. Find cache sign and return. Then on to the next. All this done by myself. Also attended an event and had 2 FTF
Mission 1 and 2 were achieved and I had a best day of 153 caches. All this done by myself.
Day 1 Hamilton to Wellington 31 caches.
I left Hamilton at 6am and got to Paekakariki at 4pm. Pulled up at GZ and saw a safety fence around the cache. No one in the area so climbed over and signed the cache. Thank you for the placement

This week is my with Ethness in the North Island. We are driving from Wellington to Auckland, with a few detours. It is a 5 day trip.
Today is day one after spending the night in Palmerston North we went out geocaching around the town before heading to Hamilton
We were stopping for larger geocaches and enjoying others on the way.
I was pleased that we stopped here because the view was awesome.

Sadly there is no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. I plan on going to the OzGeomuster in July. To find out more visit this site: https://www.ozgeomuster.com.au

If you can't make Aussie. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland. I will keep you posted in my logs.
Thanks for hiding this geocache.

Today was part two of my road trip home to Nelson from Auckland, after picking up my son's "new" car from Napier, taking me from Taihape to Wellington... with time to find a few caches along the way, of course. The cache was a bit exposed and easy to see so I tucked it away a bit better. TFTC, Biggles.

Found it on our road trip to Featherstone. Lovely view. Tftc

Greetings from Texas! Found with Brockwood_Brewer. Thanks for the hide with the beautiful view. I left a bit of Texas in the container.

A Long journey on our way to the WENZ2018 mega event, travelling down the west cost of the North Island, time in and around Wellington and back north via Taupo, lots of great places seen, lots of caches visited. Many thanks to all the CO's that made finding these caches possible.

It’s Day 1 of our 2018 WENZ MEGA crusade and while it’s only TNXPro and myself today - by tomorrow Team BOP will be 7 strong with McJandals, NZFlossy, Davidson Clan, FapAndGap & Squirrel nutcase all joining us at different times.

We have a huge hit list for the next 5 days which are going to be crazy. We’ve signed our logs either individually or as ‘Team BOP’ depending on log space, size or condition. A special thanks to all the CO’s and those who have helped keep these caches in good order.

It was super disappointing to find so much human waste especially considering Mangaweka was just down the hill but the cache was found quickly and good condition, TFTC

It's finally Mega weekend!
Found while travelling with TeamBOP to the Mega event in Wellington.
The surrounding area was disappointingly a bit of a dump site and within a metre of the cache someone had taken a dump also. Gross.
The view, however was quite spectacular.
Thanks for bringing me here.
TFTC.

We often drive past here on our drives between Palmy and Hamilton but I don't get much opportunity to stop along SH1. That's because my partner is an eye roller when it comes to geocaching.

This weekend we picked up our new car which meant I got to drive back south alone with the 2 younger sprogs. And that meant I could time it just right for them to have a feed and nappy change!

While dealing with them I had ample time to suss out where the cache was hidden and using the van as cover I was able to grab and return the cache in between traffic! It was nice finding a larger cache as I was able to leave plenty of swag that's been clogging our glove box.

I had been up in Auckland for one of my regular visits, and with having last week off work I was looking to break my longest streak for finds as well as push through and gain my 500th Cache whilst I was there.
But sadly all breaks must come to an end so today was day 11 of my current streak, and the day of the long drive back home.

I used to drive the whole journey without a break, but that was before discovering geocaching, so decided to make use of this rest stop to hopefully grab a quick find on my way through. Luckily I was the only one there, so had no issues with Muggles which searching.

The co-ordinates were spot-on, and the Hint was helpful, and the cache was exactly where I would expect it to be, so it ended up being the quick find I wanted. The container and the logbook were in fine condition, so it was a quick sign of the log and then everything was replaced exactly as found.

Dropped in a TB as the container was a decent size.

Thank you for placing this cache for others such as me to find.

Thanks for the find.. with Lil Taurus

The logs had hinted at the nature of this one and sure enough one was inclined to think one was embarking on a toilet tour.. hopefully where i put my foot was the only bit of uncontaminated leaf litter?  cache inside and log nice and dry. replaced with out moving foot.!

26-Feb-18
Well, not the best location maybe for a cache. But thank you for showing us around.

Today ElGreco76 and me was on our way to Wellington. We did a short break to take a photo and search the cache. We found it, but the area isn't really nice, there's a lot of poo around the cache. In my opinion, the cache should get another place.
