The hint seems a little outdated as the track is now all wooden. Looked around but came up empty this time.
Staying around Dorrigo for a few days, camping and geocaching.
#1000!!!!!!!!
A very pleasant walk down to GZ where we soon laid eyes on the cache and what a sight it was, after 298 days we had finally hit the big #1000.
The waterfall was as beautiful as always, thank you for bringing us here, we won't be forgetting it anytime soon.

Mr Staybe and Mr oz kindly let the ladies do this one, well somebody has to look after the kids. Found with Staybe and Co log signed SO or OS we tended to get ourselves confused. 3090 1:01:00 PM mandp without cachers like you we would have no game. Thank you. TNLN SL
On a caching weekend from Kempsey to Armidale with Ozglory.
A friend came to these falls just yesterday so I decided it was a must stop!
The falls were in fine form. We took a bit longer to find the cache then we should have. Can we blame the tree cover and the gps jumping all over the place?
Thanks so much for the cache!
Some logs may be signed S & O representing Staybe & Co and Ozglory.

Lovely walk to base of falls. Fairly popular place on a weekend so had to time retrieval.
We have been staying at the free camp in Thora with our caravan and using it as a base to cache around Bellingen and Dorrigo to as far as Ebor. Fabulous countryside and we have loved the creative hides. What a gorgeous spot the water looked so inviting and there were people splashing around and paddling around on their inflatables. Fav point alloc. Thankyou mandp for placement of this cache and sharing this special spot with us.
Don’t really know why this took me so long to find. A nice simple find really.
I think where old meets new with the wood really helped me in this find. (though the new wood is kinda looking similar to the old wood now) Hope that doesn’t spoil it to much for those of you in the future!

We were looking for at least 20 minutes for the cache and then some other cachers came and found it straight away. Signed log. Left feather, took dolphin. TFTC.
Now this has got to be one of our most favourite caches to date and definitely our favourite for the year so far (hehe). On the way to the falls we spotted this big lizard and even though I was 5 minutes behind Squirellette it still scared the bejebus out of both of us. Took the cache for a temporary view of the falls before signing and replacing.
Swapped the starfish for the .

We came down from the platform to visit the waterfall and noticed that here is also a cache.
The way is easy going cause of the boardwalk. We found the cache not at GZ, it is around 9 m ago, not to far away to find it. It's easier to find wish a small branch.
We signed the logbook at 5:30 p. m. and walked on to our car on the top. Because of a cold ariny evening not so many people have been here. Luck for us.
Thanks for the cache in this stunnig area.

Large container. Waterfall is lovely and refreshing. Took time to walk the Labyrinth once back up top and was surprised as it involves a lot of walking, more than it looks.
Gps Coordinates were sending me between two tracks got within 5 metres on the wooden track maybe if i had more time.
It looks like a lot of work has taken place to update this area. I couldn't even find a fork in a tree as others have suggested in previous logs. Beautiful area and waterfall.
Found it. Took awhile as coordinates out sent us searching in the wrong place. Went back to old logs and hint and soon found it.
On my way back to Canberra from Brisbane. Taking a scenic route off the main highways. Wow, what a beautiful scenic and peaceful place. Took a while to grab between the muggles but eventually had GZ to myself. A favourite point for me, thanks mandp.
Beautiful Scenery and great weather to Cache. Merry Christmas from Sydney.

TFTC, quick find. An amazing and beautful place, a great walk down to the bottom. A fav point to follow.
In Dorrigo from Sydney exploring the Waterfall Way. Today's itinerary brought us to Dorrigo National Park, the Wonga Walk, Dangar Falls and into the quiet centre of Dorrigo town with caching along the way. We made our way down the track and really enjoyed the view from below. Recent logs told us that this cache had had some movement. We found where it is now. Our coordinates required taking .008 from south and adding .002 to east. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Dad found cache in fork of tree, dad had to retrieve. swapped a shell for a toy. Signed log with help of dad.
Replaced in correct position
Arrived at Carpark near GZ to find our GPS wasn't working. After a few restarts and eventually finding some signal we headed off down the track. Found relatively quickly near a nice Boardwalk. Left a TB. Nice hide. TFTC
Many thanks for bringing us to this location with its great views. TNLN SL TFTC
After orienteering we went for a drive to see the falls. I had only ever been to the top lookout. I went for a short walk without the wife and baby but then came back and got them as well as my sister as it was a pretty easy walk down. We went to the end of the path and had a few pictures. On the way back we stopped and looked for this. I looked in one spot but didn't see it. then followed my GPS which was pointing to another suspicious spot. However my sister looked close to where i had been looking earlier and spotted it straight away. TFTC
3.5 weeks in Australia, 3300 km on the road and also many by foot, lots of animals - some nice (kangaroos, koalas!) and some less nice (spiders, snakes) -, frosty nights in the Blue Moutains, heavy storms and rainfall, and finally lovely sunny weather at the Gold Coast, many nice and relaxed people: this was a really great holiday in Australia! And not to forget: 80 caches found
Great water fall! After the heavy rainfall in the days before there was enough water coming down

Honeymoon in Down Under - what a great experience an wonderful time! We were able to travel from Melbourne to Brisbane (including Great Ocean Road, Bendigo, Echuca, Canberra, Blue Mountains, Sydney, Hunter Valley, Port Macquarie and many other great places!) 3,5 weeks in total. Of course we also had to search for some containers and Eclipse-boxes !
So many waterfalls during our journey... This one was more impressive than the ones before because of all the rain the dayss before. Thanks for showing!

Looked under the wrong wood for a while, then turned around and spied something which didn't quite fit in with the surroundings... TFTC.
Found it half exposed so have re hidden it a bit more thoroughly. A pleasant easy stroll after a day to Red Cedar Falls. TFTC.
Tftc so many muggles everywhere! Took us a while to find without getting caught but we got it eventually. Took banana and left barbie brush :p
TFTC, soo many muggles today, it was hard to get a break. Beautiful waterfall at the end of the track
Hint should say where new wood joins with old wood as there is obviously more wood than when placed. Bring own pen as we took picture as proof as didn't have pen. Good luck and TFTC.
Weekend geotrip with ZO33 down in the Dorrigo Area.
What a glorious area with many beautiful natural attractions and plenty to see.
Thank you for placing and maintaining geocaches

I was a bit wary of the wet track and wooden steps, but they were not slippery at all after the rain. The falls were working well and the view from the end of the track was great, although we were not tempted to go for a swim. I found a likely place where my GPS pointed, but the cache was nowhere there, so I then looked for a better, more easily accessed place nearby, and soon found the cache, partly given away by its colour. Thanks for a great hide, I really liked it and its location.
Lovely walk down and great to hear the different bird calls. It was a quick find for us today.
Visited the earth cache and of course we had to do the walk, think the boardwalk has made it an easier walk these days looking at the path and chain beside it, but I was happy to take the modern way. Nice easy find but could have sat and listened to the birds for a long time. TFTC
Dangar falls was recommended by the B&B we were staying at and 2 caches was a bonus! Great location and it was easy to see the difference between old and new for the hint. Took TB, TFTC.
Thanks, what an awesome place and great walking track!

It is not where the track becomes wooden as the wood walk way now starts at the top.
Time today with geofam to visit the lower reaches. After running the labyrinth we went down the wooden trail to the appropriate spot where youngest extract ed the container. Quickly signed the log and then wandered down to take in the view. Lovely spot. Thanks!
Early morning walk. Blue skies, great view.
Assume, the situation was a bit different when the cache was hidden (hint).

After getting strandard here overnight due to road closures from the heavy rains we used the opportunity to check out the falls, they were flowing in flood conditions lots of water and the roar of a creek in full flow over the drop, cache was found all in good condition even a small green tree frog came out to welcome us TFTC mandp
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

We were wondering if this cache was referring to a pit toilet . Loved the walk down to the falls through the shade and enjoyed the views down the bottom.
