Almost finished our walk today, and the kids stopped for a play. I used the distraction to quickly run off and look for this cache. I was looking and got the text saying they were rounding up the kids, so was about to have to mark this a DNF. But as i turned i spot a few rocks that looked out of place and the cache was then quickly in hand! TFTC
Out for a long stroll around the antsy Hill area, and trying to find a few geocaches along the way.I enjoyed this one, and was glad to eventually spot container. Nice hide.
Apologies for such a late log, for some reason the Geocaching app is doing all our logs as drafts even though that setting is not checked. Will be changing app.Found @1:26pm while having an enjoyable walk around the area. After a bit of mountain climbing, success. First names in the new logbook. TNLN SLTFTC
Went for a walk to check on this tonight and found it missing. Replaced the missing container, so all good to go again.
A tricky one! I feel like I've been here before and turned over all of the same rocks... Hopefully we'll track it down one day.
TFTC! Muggles in all directions, even some adventurous teens up the hill. But finally found a gap to get it.
Out and about with Mattycat and Sebastbat today and we stopped so we could get the cache as the cat had been here before, our first visit to this area and seeing whats left of the nursery, cache was a quick find for us today

Found this one about 8 years ago when we started dating. Later when we made our own account went to find it and it was missing. Out for a walk with some friends who were keen to find a few. Had to come and find this one. TFTC
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I finished up work for the year, so we decided to take our mountain bikes to Anstey Hill Recreation Park for a ride. Strangely enough, we had lost power at home too, which also nudged us towards the outdoors. We concentrated on the western side of the park, riding a few trails and past the ruins of Newmans Nursery (which were interesting), and largely following Newmans Track loop. A nice sunny afternoon and good fitness session.
I had ridden in Anstey a few times before, but had never rode past these ruins before, so they were really cool to see. We followed the geotrail down the valley and up to GZ, and as it turned out, it was a quick cache find. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. It was a nice view of the ruins below too. Thanks The Kettles for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

Haha Found it today! So happy now! Can only imagine what this nursery must have been like when it was really productive. Took post it notes & left pink dinosaur toy. TFTC
Very happy to see this one back in business and a chance to remove a DNF. It’s a nice walk down from Gate 13 past the big kurrajong tree, and I like the story that goes with the ruins near GZ.
Lots of hide opportunities at GZ, but didn’t take too long to find.
Thanks Kettles, FP4U.

I visited today with a new cache container and log book. All good to go again.
Couldn’t find it in the allotted time, but this is a worthwhile historical spot to visit. I shall return! Thanks for placing.
Came back for another look and finally found it. We used past comments and photos to get us in the right spot up the hill
Eye spied, Eye found, Eye logged. Eye left Trinket... Cache replaced in hiding spot. TFTC!!
Tried for this cache a year ago with no luck. Came back for a second go for the jewel heist event and found it almost instantly with harper-22 and geodogs. TFTC!
Today's plan was to go out and finish off my D/T grid. Since I had 4 bob puzzles solved within the area and 2 of them would make this mission successful I decided I would make a nice and lengthy walk out of the and collect some other caches along the way.
A interesting little bit of history here and a great view, cache took a while to find as there are so many rocks TFTC

While at the nearby event, Mr Tardis and Mini Tardis wandered over and found this one with some other event attendees.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache The Kettles.

Found It!
Will some help from the attendees of the nearby event, we eventually found the cache. The logbook was soaking wet so I added a new one. Interesting place.

Today was another day full of caching and being social with a few events up around Anstey Hill, and with a potential FTF on offer Laighside Legands and myself headed off early in search of it. Arriving at gz, there was no one in sight and the cache was soon spotted and in hand not long later and our luck was with us as an empty log book was extracted. With the log signed and some time still to kill before the first event started we decided to head of for a few nearby finds, which proved no problem at all. After enjoying some delicious pie at the first event Laighside and myself set off to start caching in Anstey hill, specifically looking at a few of the puzzle finals that we had there. It was a great day for caching, the sun was out and shining and there were plenty of caches to be found. After a few hours it was finally time to head down the hill to the next event, and thankfully there was a cache nearby too. It was this cache that Mr Tardis happened to find in the first place he looked, that place happened to be my hands as I had found it a few seconds before he arrived. After more socialising we headed on our way again to keep finding caches, though as the day wore on the steep slopes of some of the tracks started to take its toll and my legs started to tire. I pushed on however, as the hours passed it was time to finally head back across Adelaide for the final event for the evening. By this time of the evening I was rather hungry and in need of a beer, which was quickly ordered. It was a relaxed end to what was a very enjoyable caching weekend and a good time was had by all.

Attending a nearby event and jumped at the chance to follow Gordon Patrick Samuel up the hill. Located a watery cache, GPS emptied the water out while I_J joined us... log book was signed and replaced.
Stopped to admire & photograph the view.

A nice find in this great walking park. Lots of people enjoying the winter sunshine.
A pleasant day caching meeting up with others in the field as we passed on the tracks.
Thank you The Kettles for placing this cache.

Cache #1857. On my way to find more "Hidden Creatures" (Dragon).
Today is a Sunny Sunday, suitable for hiking and geocaching. Today's target is Anstey Hill Conservation Park.
It was the fifth cache we found today.
We tried this cache last month, but there were too many visitors. Today, as there was a geocaching event nearby, finding the cache was easier. Actually, some cachers found the cache and I joined them to sign the log.
Thanks for the cache, The Kettles.

A number of teams arrived early for the event. That provided the opportunity for a number of us to walk to GZ and to begin searching for the cache. There were so many possible hides in the immediate vicinity of GZ but the number of searchers meant that the cache was found after about 5 minutes. Unfortunately the contents, in particular the logbook, were quite wet. One of those present supplied a new logbook for us to sign. Thanks The Kettles for the cache.
A quick find while here for an event. Some subtle pointing by a previous finder certainly helped. TFTC The Kettles dropped a TB too!
Unfortunately DNF. There were some muggles around, so we did not have a chance to check it carefully. We will try it again next time.
Learnt the story of Newmans.

Great hide, although I’d say it’s a small rather than a medium (more sandwich box-sized than shoebox-sized). Also a beautiful flat-ish spot nearby that’s obviously a great spot for ‘roos to hang out, so we spotted a few there at dusk. TFTC - Woodland Circus & Papa Bear
A nice little scramble after a walk down the track.

A day with the Rat, Owl and Starfish, Cache was found full of Water. Replaced by the Starfish and the log signed. TFTC
Owl was out with Blackadders, SA Sewer Rats and Brisal5 for a day of BFEing, SFEing and caching in general. But if you are collecting BFEs, then you have to get the other ones in the same area, even if your legs want to kill you afterwards! Access was a little scarey, with lots of sliding. Fortunately Owl was able to deploy her geotools ( a Snake and a Starfish) to get the cache. The Starfish replaced the container, so all is good now. Great area. Owl loves a bit of history.
Given the location this was in a pretty obvious place. Cache kid has disappeared and the log is soaked - as it's raining now, there's not a lot I can do about that

To say this cache NM is an understatement...no lid, full of water, log wet and contents located away from cache.
What a lovely old spot. The history here is amazing I made my way to GZ and took a pic Found the cache wrapped in a plastic bag as to protect it from the elements. I added a couple of Moisture-Munchers [^] to help re: moisture getting in. SL at 13:00 on Sat. 8 April, 2017. TFTC The Kettles and for bringing me to this fascinating and cool spot in this park
After spotting a brown snake on the way up the main path we decided not tp tackle the final climb as overgrown. Fascinating spot tho. ..will come back when less overgrown.
The blackberries and artichokes were not our friends today, but once we knew where we were going the find was soon in hand. Previous finders had done a great job resurrecting the cache but maintenance is still needed. Thanks for the hunt this morning:)
Today is a very special day for S.A. Sewer Rats. So today I promised to pick her up and take her to some of the BFE puzzles she has solved but nobody was willing to take her to. Hevwalker was off also and I picked her up from her abode as I had also promised her a long day of caching. But first up we attended at Banana Benders Hookup for breakfast where we me met up with RoddyC. We collected SA Sewer Rats and headed to the hills where we joined by RoddyC
This takes a bit of rock clambering to get to but it is a lovely area to visit. The cache has been severely muggled. No top, contents wet and wrapped in a plastic shopping bag. We have dried what we could and inserted a new log in a plastic log bag for protection. Wrapped it back up and secured it in place. All it needs is a new regular sized container if someone reads this before coming. Thanks the Kettles.

I was picked up this morning for a day of caching with Brisal5 and Hevwalker.
I have had this worked out for so long'
What does one do for their birthday, they gocaching
We arranged to meet up with RoddyC at the appropriate parking spot.
We set off caching.
Loved the ruins.
We found the remains of a wet cache.
So we replaced the log, bag and found something to place the log into.

After our Event in town, we headed into the hills with Brisal5, SA Sewer Rats, and Hevwalker. As the afternoon grew on, it became quite warm on the track, especially in the uphill parts
This cache was found by Brisal5 in a perilous state. Our guess is that it had been severely muggled, and someone has placed what remained of the cache in a plastic bag. The cache contained water as the lid was MIA, and the log book was a mushy mess. We were able to replace the log book with a log sheet, but the whole cache and log book needs replacing.
Perhaps the next cacher, upon reading this log, will take along a new regular-size container to keep this 2007 one going in such an important historical area.
Log signed and cache replaced. Found at 1.10pm on 25th November 2016. TFTC.

A lovely wander through the park with brisal5, SA Sewer Rats & RoddyC...I did not know this was here...an interesting place...there is still a lot of the vegetation from the nursery in this gully...fennel, sweet peas, various fruit trees, magnolias, roses...I love these old ruins and reading about it's history...
Thanks for bringing us to this spot...The Kettles

Unable to find today. Very hard with no phone reception and my gps being updated at Mr.Bs. Gugless and I had a great walk anyway today. Was beautiful weather for it.
A late afternoon walk ended up being a moonlight walk as we headed up the track to the Newman's nursery. Due to the clues and photos we were able to find the cache in the dark taking the direct and maybe treacherous route.
Nice walk to look at the old nursery.
After watching the roos on the hill got this cache.
It's very damp and might need some tlc.
Thanks.

Cache case still has no lid and contents thoroughly soaked. Put a plastic bag around it to try and at least keep some of the rain off. TFTC
I love walking around the ruins. I didn't know it was there. Kids love being goats and finding this one. Great day out and lovely walk.
Nice sneaky hide. Rock on dudes! Surprising, it's in great condition without a lid
We entered the park from Gate 6 and followed the track to the ruins. After taking a number of photos of the ruins I scrambled up for the find. As others have noted the container is minus a lid. The log book is currently dry but the pages are stuck together. Some TLC is required!
After signing the log we continued our walk and eventually made our way to Newman's Nursery for refreshments. TNLNSL TFTC The Kettles!

Needs lid or replacement container. Needs new logbook (current one totally soaked)
Went for a lovely 6km walk in Ansteys Hill area - walked up the Water Gully track, then up to the Ridge Top Walk, with lovely views over the city as the sun set. Saw heaps of Kangaroos, a cuddly Koala in a tree near the ruins and a barn owl trying to catch mice.
Hunted around the rocks for about 5 mins before getting this one - it was about 4m from GZ - but eventually found. It was without a cover and the container was half full of water, with the log book totally soaked. Cache definitely needs a cover and a replacement log book (or someone to let it dry for a while). Moved it 1m to a larger protected rock which will hopefully keep it dryer. Couldnt sign log, but enjoyed the find.

Tricky one. Never been here before and really enjoyed imagining the old homestead and exploring the area.
Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi. Working at home today and needed a cache or two to fill the calendar. was wandering along this track and found one and noticed that this one was not much further on so decided to continue on to this one. Headed to GZ and started searching. Rocks, rocks, rocks. rocks under rocks, Rocks on top of rocks. widened the search area and more rocks. Widened the area yet again and hey presto, there was a cache without a lid but the log was quite dry. Signed log and replaced under a rock under a rock. Felt like a rock star at the end of this one. Lots of fitness fanatics walking the tracks but all were all absorbed in their conversations with eyes down and IPods plugged in to notice the mad cacher clambering over the rocks. Gratias pro cache.
