Never found the time to wander in here but today seemed like a good chance! Very peaceful as there was no one around, tempted to stay awhile but need to head home...and maybe just do one or two kore caches on the way
BlueBM and I took advantage of the beautiful sunny day and headed out for a ride on the blue BM lol. Ended up here at Tarago reservoir for our picnic lunch. A lovely spot to visit. We also considered doing the nearby multi but wearing bike gear is not conducive to pleasurable walking, nor the idea of leaving helmets etc unsecured on the bike whilst we're out of line of sight. We'll have to come back another day in the car. TFTC

We had the chance to head out into our local area to do some caching and revisit some areas we have not been to for some time. Some lovely areas visited and found a few things we had not seen before.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Team Crackers.**SKI Pair****Greetings from traveling Australians.
TwoEms were flinching as we brought the two caches together, anticipating that the dual forces we held were going to explode upon impact, creating a tidal wave of epic proportions that would wipe out the whole planet, and leave us unable to live to tell this tall tale. Alas, that didnt happennot even a fizz.A few minutes prior, we had spilt ourselvesnot the atomup to go looking for the hint. We love a good hint and this one seemed a nice, clear and straightforward one. Very quicklyand very sure of ourselveswe found ourselves several meters apart from each other when we simultaneously both called out, found it! Thinking the other must be mistaken, we each pulled out our finds and held them up for the other to see. Whaaaaat!!?, we cried: Two caches!!What unravelled next was a very long argument with each other over what to do in this particular scenarioOh, this was way too much excitement for our impatient sorry souls. So we sat ourselves down on the nearby bench and read through the logs to figure out what on earth had happened here.Well, well, long story and even longer to follow. It seems the old cache was being found by everyone except the CO who recently came out here to replace the reported wet log. Unable to find the old cache, the CO hid a brand new cache with a brand new log. We found the brand new cache and brand new log unsigned in a position that matched the hint. We found the old cache and old log signed by everyone else before and since in a different position which also matched the hint. The old log was still good enough to write on, solike everyone elsethats where we penned our name. Arguments aside, we finally decided to put the new cache inside the old cacheit looked hungryand hide it exactly where we found the new cache. Our logic being that that was where the CO intended to put the hide since thats where they recently put the new cache. We also thought the old cache was precariously propped up in a position that was in danger of easily falling out and being exposed to muggles, whereas the new cache was in a much safer place. So it was settled, new cache was put inside the old cache and placed where the new cache was found. Done!Heavens, what a long adventure this turned out to be. Short of shaking a bottle of bubbly, we were pleased to see some very good looking moo cows on the drive up here, and hope they were having a riveting time chewing on that green green grass as we chewed over these Tarago caches.Thank you for the cache/sthere must have been something in the water.
After log saying the logbook was saturated we came past today to replace it. Little bit embarrassing as we couldn't find our own case we have replaced it was a brand new one and a nice shiny logbook waiting to be found.
It is now a large Perform.

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.

Out for a sunday arvo cruise with my wife because the weather was stunning and no point sitting at hone being a NORM..
The cache was in full view but im tipping not many people visit here since you cant get to the water and the cache wasnt broken or damaged
We tucked it away a little further and wandered around for a bit.
Tftc.
I LOVE driving around the hills just soaking in the view.

Missed out on grabbing this cache last time I was in the area..nice straight forward find. Really nice set up at the reserve lots of tables, BBQ and bathroom facilities.
Our first find on our long weekend away to Noojee. Nice area here. Wet and cold though!!
This was a nice quick find on the way back from Toorongo Falls. Spotted the cache quickly and had the log signed.
Inside cache is a bit wet but still functional.
Tftc in a beautiful location!

Continuing on Day 3 of our caching adventure in the Neerim region. Everyone was getting tired now and just wanted to get back to the AirBnB for some napping and relaxation. Decided to just do a couple more that are sort of on the way back. This one was a nice quick short detour and the cache was easily found without any hassle.

Finding this cache was a nice little walk after a busy day. Found it fairly quickly - thank you for the cache!
Found by geoson by accident. We were walking past and he saw it out of the corner of his eyes. Tftc. Ps log is wet and we couldn't sign it
What a beautiful reservior! Picked up some swaps that were on the ground, popped them back in. A soggy loggy but still able to sign. Great hiding spot!
Nice easy cache with a few little goodies for the geokids and what a great park and view.
Thanks
Thanks
Tftc. Found with tb142, kezza1211 and naturegirl. Finally logging this one, it was disabled during covid just after being found.
This place feels like it’s caught in a time warp!
Cache found with ease. Very easily seen from the path by muggles heading back up the hill so tried to conceal a little better. Hope the next find isn’t too hard!

Covid-19 restrictions are now lifted and Geocaching is allowed so it is back on line.
Due to the new Covid 19 restrictions Geo Caching is not a reason to be out so we are disabling our caches untill safe to enable again.

Found it just before dark when it was deserted Sunset on the Tarago Reservoir was lovely, even though we could only admire it from behind the fences.
Headed all the way over to Noojee to help ahomburg celebrate his 10 years as a cacher event at the falls.
After the great event it was time to head towards home but as they say there is always time for one more find, but in my case it might have been two more.
Motored on down the road and pulled into the carpark that I had to myself as the only other car left as I pulled up.
A great spot for a walk and the facilities look great with the nice lawn area which I guess would be busy when the weather is nice and at a better time of the day.
Headed off to GZ and realised that it was another Team Crackers Cache which I have already found a couple of theirs today and also caught up with them at the event.
A nice walk and I soon located the cache and added my name to the log.
I think that it is time to head back home to the other side of town.
Thanks Team Crackers TFTC.

I was in this part of the countryside taking care of an errand and once that was done, I decided to take the slower road back to Bunyip via some geocaches. There was nobody here on this smoky week day so I had free reign to search without care for watching muggles.

Mrs whitevanman and l walked here from Neerim South hoping for a walk by the reservoir only to find it all fenced off with only access to the picnic area. Well at least l found this geocache which made up for our disappointment. TFTC
Well this brings back memories! It's been a long time since we've been here, BC (before caching)l to be sure) and we never noticed this little cache any of the times we went to the dam wall.
Maybe it's the day and the weather, maybe it's our moods, but the whole Park was looking a little sad. Still, in pretty good condition compared to some others. Pity to see that you can't walk on the wall anymore.

Out and about caching today and stopped off at one of our favourite spots we used to BBQ at in summer, BC. Thanks for the cache and the walk down memory lane. It's a pity the dam wall is no longer accessible any more.
This place is blast of the past. We used to come here every school holidays. For a BBQ and we would take a picture of Anja on the dam wall. It was sad to see you can not enter the dam anymore. Thanks for the great memories and the cache Team Crackers

Quick find but annoying that the reservoir is completely fenced off to prevent access.
A nice walk in a peaceful park setting and soon had the cache in hand and the log signed. Thanks for bringing me to this great area and maintaining this cache
Tftc. Another nice park in Gippsland. Hint is too obvious. Might have gone for something like "the Greeks and Turks fight over this island in the Mediterranean"
It's been a while since we have been caching. So today the plan was to hit the bush. We couldn't decide which way to go. We were tossing up between Creswick Area, the beach areas south of Frankston or the Warragul area. So Mrs P. put the locations in a hat and pulled out Warragul area.
We had never been to this Reservoir before , so a first for us.
Thanks for the cache Team Crackers!
This was our last find for the day. We headed back towards Melb after this.

Nice little park with really good amenities too so it was worth the slight diversion for us while enroute to Noojee. Another location to add to my list of "gotta come back again *one day!* "

What a great little park and facilities. Will have to bring a picnic next time. We were almost alone on this beautiful spring day. Luckily we were out of view from the only other couple here today. As we approached GZ as I could not see the cache but Kat spotted it straight away. Even after having a closer look, I still couldn't find it. So I walked back over to Kat and looked from her angle and sure enough, there it was. Two for Kat so far and only one for me, but who's counting. NOT ME!!!!. TNLNSL. TFTC. KKams
Went for a short drive on a Sunday afternoon with my family. While enjoying the scenic park and the afternoon sun, I remembered that I used to do geocaching and that there should be one somewhere nearby. Was not disappointed! Great spot for one. Tried looking before the hint, but just needed a pointer.
Despite the hint being pretty obvious and it seemed like an easy find, what seemed to be the perfect spots were empty and without sign of a previous container. Not sure if it’s still here and would recommend a check up.
Found this lovely park as I waited fir my MIL ti finish her appointment.
As I hadnot read the logs before I stood in the middle of the Ants retrived the cache befire I noticed and steped quick away. Now it was a bit tricky to replace the cache, which I did from a different angle.
Thanks for showing the park.

What a lovely park! We were the only ones there and had no trouble locating GZ. As I stood there tentatively reaching out to grab the cache being aware of 8 legged critters my buddy screamed and told me to run. I ran! No idea why and thought great I'm going to get eaten by a snake or something. Took a bit to get I had made a colony of ants very grumpy. Fortunately I had moved just in time! Now the challenge of retrieving the cache without getting bitten. The challenge was conquered, our names signed and log replaced. TFTC
Great hiding spot. As my geopartner went to grab it I saw all these fire ants stood on a nest and so we were screaming. Somehow. Luckily neither of us got bitten and so we retrieved it from the other angle. Success. Tftc
