Enjoyed a morning stroll to find this cache. A great place to explore the Glenbevie forest by bikes or by ropes at the Adventure Forest. TFTC
This one was close to where I was staying so just had to sign it off.
Cheers for the cache.

A nice quick find. I will hope to get back one day to explore the area when I have more time on my hands.
A nice quick easy find. I had to move a fresh thistle out of the way but the cache was in good condition. The log was a bit damp but not enough to be an issue. I now have one less D1/T1 to find to enable me to "find" a challenge that requires these. TFTC.
Quick and easy. Love the adventure park, if you have time its sooooo much fun! TFTC
Had a fantastic time at the Adventure Forest and then time for a cache. Lucky the legs weren't too jelly as I needed them to push a little bit of blackberry out of the way. TFTC.
Paper is a little damp but managed to write date and name.

With tree adventures closed, this place is deserted for an easy grab. Geo kids sad but geo mum is rather content lol. Tftc!
On another HOAC mission, this time with Cats&Dragons, Kiwis69, 11HPG11, and Alpenmilch80. The mission a 24 hour blitz on Whangarei puzzles, plus a certain multi to complete C&D's 5th loop around the D/T grid. Leaving Hamilton at 6pm, with a quick stop in Auckland to pick up A80, we were in Whangarei caching just after 10pm.
During the moonlight hours the plan was to focus on the puzzles around Onerahi, and the Pokemon series, while during the daylight the plan was to focus on thegreatauk puzzles plus a few others we had solved. The mission turned out to be fairly successful considering the level on difficultly of most of the hides we were targeting. The logs were signed as HOAC to save room on the logs, a big thanks must go out to all the CO's for their hides.
A quick find while getting prepared to head into the Glenbervie forest on the hunt for some puzzles.

A Friday night a bit different. I got picked up in AKL by a car loaded with Cats&Dragons, 11hpg11, kiwis69, HKCB & a trunk full of food, which could have lasted us for a week surviving in Whangarei. Started into the night with telling a lot of funny stories, enjoying laughter’s and geocaching, geocaching, geocaching.... Easy spotting of the container from our parking spot.
I enjoyed the time out with the HOAC crew and must say when I arrived back home I felt broken, but very happy and accomplished. TFTC and TFTTrip

A trip to Whangarei for the night to collect a few caches is totally normal right? 2 hours sleep is also normal? Our group tonight consisted of Cats&Dragons, HKCB, Kiwis69, Alpenmilch80 and myself. We left Hamilton at 6pm on Friday and we were home by 6.30pm on Saturday. Some great caches were found and some laughs were had and a lot of sugar and caffeine consumed. A lot of planning and puzzle solving had gone into the prep work so we had a good plan of what caches to attack. Logs were signed as HOAC to save room
Alpenmilch80 spotted this one on approach. Thanks for the nice quick trad, a warmup before we head into the forest.

Found during our 24-hr Whangarei caching mission. After a few weeks' planning and a lot of nights scratching our heads over tricky puzzles, we (HKCB, 11HPG11, Alpenmilch83, C&D & myself) set off north on Friday evening with our caching wish-list. Our main targets were puzzles, night caches and less common DT ratings with a spot of tree climbing thrown in for good measure. Great trip: really enjoyed exploring new areas, lots of laughs as always and good to find a few caches before we headed back home on Saturday afternoon (although a bit more sleep while we were here would've been nice too!) Most caches were signed "HOAC" so as to save space in the smaller logbooks.
Stopped by to grab this one on our way past. Trickier to get to than we expected but finally sorted, TFTC

Nice easy find. Cache is in good order so someone must have kindly replaced it since the beginning of the year. TFTC.
#2167, Cache is not in very good shape, looks like it may have got run over, will replace next week when I am here next. TFTC
Cache has been smashed and scattered. Picked up as many pieces as possible and put them back under a rock under sign, but will definitely need replacing. Thx
Out for a day on the coast, caching. Stopped off here on way home to pick up one more. Unfortunately, cache has been smashed and scattered and log was wet, so couldn't sign.
Will definitely need replacing TFTC

Log is too wet to sign, I added a piece of card stock, but it will probably be soaked within days too..
Found very quickly but the log book is very mushy and impossible to sign. Owner may wish to check and replace. Thanks
Headed out to do some caching and decided to do the tutakaka coast, only got as far as wellingtons bay before to many DNFs made us consider finishing the rest another day. Second attempt at this one, very over grown with grass and blackberries. Log was wet. Watch out for the prickles
Didn't bring our bikes today. Maybe next time. Cache a nice easy find. Even with all of the muggles! TFTC.
We didn't have our bikes with us today so this was as far as we got. We could have walked to the next cache but we've been on the go all day and my dinner will be waiting at home soon. Will be back with the bikes another time. My kids have enjoyed the nearby Adventure Forest but I have never been out here. An easy find, thanks
Wish I bought my bike with me. Nice area.
Why do I always get cut by gorse while caching!

A day that started in Opononi and ended in Whangarei, a quick burst around the middle of Whangarei while dinner was being collected and then a "Holy" time in the later evening by myself. All good fun - thanks.
Watch out for the thorns. Added a temporary log book as the current one was saturated. TFT(bike)C.
Must come up this road again for a better look around; in a rush this morning with frozen food in the boot. TFTC.
After a great day in the Adventure Forest nearby
I was looking for the cache.
It was a quick find.

We are in my old home town of Whangarei, visiting family for Easter and decided to go out for a wet afternoon of caching. A nice quick find here – the adventure course here looks worthy of a visit another time. Thanks for the cache! (PS the log book was fairly damp.)

Nice quick find before going for a mountain bike ride through the forest. Its still a bit wet under tyre on the single tracks.
This was my last cache that I was doing in Whangarei, I chose it as it was appropriately named, and it was a good time to start getting on my bike and heading south if I was going to get where I wanted to go before it was going to be too late in the day. Arriving at GZ and I realised where the cache was, dam this is going to be fun as this area on a Sunday was definite not a good time to try and get this cache, lucky for me I was able to park my car not too far from GZ and was able to walk over to GZ without any of the muggles taking any notice to as what I was doing, was able to retrieve, sign and return the cache back to it hiding spot and was on my way again. What a busy spot, thanks for placing a cache here and bringing me to this spot, also decided to bring Dream, Passion and Journey Travel Bug along to visit this cache as well, TFTC TNLNSL (3690)
Decided to drop a Travel bug for a quick visit while it was passing through as it is in a race

What an awesome looking MTB park, we got here well after dark so enjoyed a muggle free retrieval. Did not have the MTB with us this time so could not be tempted for a night blat.
This would possibly make a good spot for a night cache?

We are on our second caching holiday in New Zealand and today was our last full day of caching. We have been limited with the caches we could search for after Marco badly sprained his ankle at Cape Reinga and is on crutches – but this one was easily accessible so we decided to give it a go. The nearby Adventure Park looks like it would be great fun, but we parked and searched for the cache instead. Marco found it after a quick search. TNLNSL TFTC
Out and about with flowernz, lovely day to do some caching. Nice quick find, TFTC
Out for the day with Tikitour doing my first 'hides' - but of course we had to do a few 'seeks' as well...
Nice quick drive by - and we didn't have the bikes - tracks closed anyway - he he - TFTC

Tried this one yesterday but there were too many muggles around. Got it today after coming home from the mair park caches. TFTC
A nice quick easy find at the beginning of a day of caching, while on holiday from Dunedin.
