Took ages to get the puzzle. Lack of knowledge of the topic made it hard. But got there eventually. Pretty cool. Very easy find once at the location. Cache was very rusty though, almost couldnt open it. TFTC. Our first mystery cache!!!!
After being puzzled for a while, I found the right angle. Then again blocked by how to approach. After a small hint I figured out where to focus on and then it was a quick solve. No problems at GZ, nice location for this one, with a cool link to the theme! TFTC!
Today we had a drive round the area, did some walking and picked up a few caches as we went. This had already been solved so having parked up made a short search and cache foundTFTCTim and Viv - ddm

I was able to quickly recognise something that made this an easy puzzle solve. When I arrived at the cache site, I was thankful that it was early morning but, as it turned out, the well chosen hiding place meant it wouldn't have been issue if I had arrived at a "wrong time" anyway. A nice quick find meant I was soon on my way to the next stop.
A fun puzzle and nice easy find. Had jnr in tow which is usually a good decoy TFTC
I solved this so long ago.. Even before New Year's, my resolution is to try to find more mystery and multis so that my map doesn't end up with these only.
The rain stopped this morning, so I came out to get this one. TFTC.

This is the last day of our far too short trip to Nelson to catch up with family, do a bit of sightseeing and of course some geocaching.
Being a bit of a fan of the subject material here for a long time I was quickly on to the solve and got the tick on the geochecker nice and quickly.
We drove down to the final and was originally a bit disappointed as a nearby area was occupied and it would be a bit hard to go and look. So we sat in the car in the air con and waited for them to go which they eventually did and we could nip out and grab the cache in the spot we expected it to be in.
Quickly replaced and moved on before more muggles were attracted to the area. Thanks for the cache here, all good and I liked the puzzle thanks.

A chance jolly to the hardware store where the local one didn't suffice meant we could tackle a few caches while in the area. Had solved this some time ago so committed to retrieving all local solved before tackling any news puzzles. A quick find with SJT_NZ, thanks K_E for the interesting puzzle.
As seems to normally the case we needed to visit M10M (again...). We'd solved this puzzle some time ago, so since we were back in the region, it seemed a good time to complete the find. All in good order, thanks K_E for the cache.
Managed to solve the puzzle.
Arrived at GZ wasn’t long before I was signing the log

Solved the puzzle a while ago and in area today. The log was not in a good state so replaced it. TFTC
We sometimes struggle with these types of puzzles but fortunately had seen this one before. Grabbed during a family holiday to Nelson on a late night cache raid. All quiet at GZ tonight. TFTC
What a puzzle!!!!

One of our solved puzzle caches that has just been sitting there until we are passing GZ. Well we weren't really passing today, didn't actually have any reason to be here, but we came anyway and found the cache. Hinge portion of cache container may be on it's last legs due to rust. May need checking in the future. tftc
Down for a daffodil show in Hope, had time to find some caches near our accommodation this evening. Thanks Kiwi_Explorer for the caches

Solved this puzzle in anticipation of a trip up to Nelson and the final gz turned out to be only a couple of hundred metres from our accommodation. A quick find on a quiet evening. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache.

We out to get a quick cache and to solve this mystery..Thanks for this mystery cache Kiwi_Explorer
Quick find - but not so quick with the solving thereof - until we were able to identify the puzzle-type. Thanks!
Out for a morning stroll to grab a cache for the day. Used my best navigation skills to get myself to the right spot. Thanks for the cache.
I had been out to lunch with a girlfriend and we sort of ended up driving down this road - came across a likely looking area for a cache so I pulled over and told her that it is likely there will be a cache over there somewhere. Out with the phone and yes there was. Thankfully it was one I had solved a while ago. We went and made a quick find. She said "oh its a bit like a treasure hunt - I can see how this could become addictive" ahhhh yep it sure can!
Jojo and I were across the hill for the weekend, and there were a few goals. Most of these revolved around challenge caches, the dozens of solved puzzles we had loaded and other cache series, but the main aim was to relax and have fun. We will be back soon
Thanks for the puzzle KE, I enjoyed solving it. Cache is all good as well.

I will start this series of logs just to say Mrs Dragon is amazing.
And I will qualify this by saying that until 6am yesterday morning I had no idea where we were off to for the weekend. But unbeknownst to me this was so that I could collect the CANZ Final after we had completed the South Island section a couple of months ago while in Christchurch.
So after arriving in Nelson yesterday and having already been over to Picton to investigate one of her relatives and children who are buried in the Picton Cemetery following there untimely deaths in the sinking of the Penguin. Husband and four of five children from the one family drowned of the 72 deaths. But that is another story that we will follow up in a future visit (and a few more local caches).
As time is limited, and quality caches are important, and I'm working through the DGSc currently I stuck mainly to caches with the desired D/T ratings rather than all and sundry. All and Sundry will have to wait for a future visit.
Having been to the Neson Markets this morning and Mrs Dragon wanting to do a spot of shopping, I had time to shoot off and grab another solved puzzle cache before we managed to make our way to the object of my desire (CANZ Final) and Jellyfish at Mapua for a late lunch
.
Thanks for the placement, thanks for the cache

Had a bit of trouble with the puzzle but finally got it and my first mystery cache. Thanks
Good one! Took awhile, but I did it!!! All by myself! Log was quite wet inside.
A trip back home to the North Island this weekend for Easter with the family, and a few jobs on the section and garden that need some attention. A mid-day flight was booked ages ago and with daylight saving on its way this weekend the chance to find some caches before departing proved to be just the thing. On the road before 7 this morning, and a fair bit of fog slowing the trip from Blenheim but got to 'town' at a decent time and managed 16 caches before the flight including knocking off 5 pervious solved puzzles.
Needed some help to solve this one but nce at G Z was a nice easy find and a flurry of finds soon followed.

TFTC. Out to play for the weekend with the destination of Nelson. Caching crew on board were Karma Reprint, Team_Gaters and TheWanglers, logged as PKTT for this trip. Gosh did we have fun looking for caches, most of which we found, in this very beautiful part of our country.
Oh no day 2 of our Nelson cachathon. Today was about tidying up a few loose ends, having a great time and heading for home. Four very excited kids!!
Thanks Kiwi Explorer for creating the puzzle and placing the cache.

On a big mission up to Nelson over Show Weekend with Purdiepurdie, Karma Reprint and Team_Gaters we signed our cache finds as PKTT the 'power packet' but we called ourselves the 'G4'. We headed off on Friday morning at 4.30am. We had a mission that we wanted to perform in Nelson and this was the day to attempt it. After a good nights sleep we headed out for the day for more laughs, caches and poke our noses here and there, driving and memory making. It was a great day we didn't stop until about 11.30pm back to base for a cuppa and relax and getting ready to do it all again tomorrow!
Hee hee, easy solve if you can live long and prosper . Quick find, onto the next...

[green] Hired a car and set off to do a puzzle run of Nelson. I had solved over 30 puzzles over the past few weeks, and decided today was the day to tick them off. So a puzzle only day, no traditionals allowed! And just to make sure, I only loaded the puzzles into my GPS.
The font seemed familiar but I could not place it - then I clicked where I had heard the title before. Man this takes me back to my young days! Interesting little park at the final. Completely devoid of humanoid life forms, and any other fauna, for that matter. The rain had started, which probably explains why. The rest of today's caching is likely to be muggle free, and very wet.

Was never a big fan of the source of inspiration for this puzzle so was glad for a few hints scattered in the description and logs. I would also have been stranded had it not been for the help of Uncle Wikipedia, but I won't let that play on my conscience and was happy to have the GZ to myself despite being the school holidays.
The cache was found in ship-shape condition and the log was soon signed.
Thanks for taking me to another of Nelson's pocket reserves.

A neat puzzle that made no sense at first, then using my detective skills in the logs managed to get a couple of clues that set me on the right track. I worked it out at home, then waited for a passing trip to snatch the find. Cache still in good condition.

Great spot and fantastic puzzle. Found the spot after a bit of looking with Contastimo! TFTC
In town for a wee holiday to catch up with Mr G's brother who's visiting from Oz. Wee dudes safely tucked into bed...came out and about to find a few caches. Puzzle was quick and fun to solved. No worries with GZ at night in the drizzle. Quick find and sign once I followed the GPS & torch instead of searching the obvious! ha ha. Cheers.
I solved another of your puzzles that looks a bit like this one, or should I say translated it, - - but that turned out to be no help at all. Then I thought those skills might help with another puzzle, and sure enough - - - they did. Thanks for the challenge, and the cache.
What a P'tak. I was looking in the wrong place! Got it after a search! Love the problem to be solved!

Found some time and space during a busy day to solve this one at long last. Great puzzle and cache soon in hand. All good. TFTC!!!
Not familiar with this language but a good guess on google had me straight onto the right track. Enjoyed solving it and decided to do a quick night grab inbetween rain showers seeing I was passing. TFTC
Tried to solve puzzle with a bit of logic and guessing and amazingly my guess was right first pop! Made oud way to gz and a super quick find for us. Thanks!
Caching with Holymu for fun and to accumulate some challenge requirements. This cache has been on the list for a while so what do you do when in the neighbourhood? There was some apprehension after noting the time since last find. No fear, it was all good. Another little park has been added to my local knowledge. Many thanks. TFTC
Caching with Hazedarus to sign off on several solved puzzles. This one is in an area frequently passed through so no real excuse not to find it till now. Poured some water out of the container, log book slightly damp but still quite usable. This container was somewhat reluctant to leave it's hide but I won that battle. TFTC.
Naturally I left my printed out solved puzzles back in Dunedin so, of the 29 caches I've done so far this trip in Nelson this has been the only puzzle I've got around to resolving.

A simple enough puzzle, but it was pretty foreign to me! Found the cache itself no problems, TFTC!
Solved the puzzle a while ago, so booked a berth on board & happy to say mission accomplished!
Showery days have there advantages. Kids free zones. NIce puzzle and a we came in peace. Thanks
Always enjoy cracking a code. Knew what this language was, so soon had the co-ords to the final. Made the Trek to the Starboard Bow today, and followed the hint instructions for a quick find. Thanks.

#1736 (4/16 on day 6 in Nelson). No Klingons on the Starboard Bow today (in fact no muggles of any sort). TFTC.
Took a little hunting to find this one, Moneydork came up with the goods. It was a little challenging for me as my torch had flat batteries. Cheers Gav [6939]
At last! Found site long time ago but do you think I could find the cache! On my 4th visit Eureka - I found it! Thanks for the challenge I learnt a lot.
Great site and all became clear on arrival. Had solved the script before leaving home. TNLN. TFTC.
A quick find this morning. The port was empty today so no muggle problems. SL TFTC
1400hrs Sat and waited, it'll never get off the ground. The Italian Job was here......! Our blog www.motorhominginxs.blogspot.com
Yesterday there were too many muggles around so we went back to get the cache today. Nice one thanks.
Och aye found the spot, but the wee cache was to well hidden, will go back with me bonnie partner and see if she can find it..
we were not able to work out the puzzle but used our secret powers of deduction to render the cache in hand in due course. Only thing being, still don't know the puzzle answer.
Container had water inside and maybe you could note to others to replace with lid at the bottom to assist with less rain entering.

I was pleasantly surprised by how easy this cache was to find, but without being obvious to muggles. I had some misgivings about the site, given the number of schoolchildren walking about (8am on a weekday may not have been the best time to do this), but I needn't have worried; the cache site was completely clear, and it only took a minute to fill my name in and head back to the middle of Nelson for breakfast. TFTC!
No one around this morning so could retrieve cache and sign log in peace. 3 months since a visit I see. All is in tact still so no worries there. Thanks . Alien Kiwis.
This cache will now help me to always remember Port from Starboard. I will just have to think back to this find. TFTC.
After yesterday's miss and a quick look at the new description this took only seconds to find today.
Good point Ed, we always have the cache descriptions when caching so didn't think others might just use their GPS. Hint now added.
Looked in the old place as I didn't have a serviceable PDA. It is a pity that the owner has not put the hint to the cache's new location in the cache's web page Hint section, for then I would have known ( I do have hints stored as Custom POI in the gps).

A quick find this morning on the drive to work. Maybe now I will remember which one starboard is! By the way, no pen here - you will need to bring your own. TFTC

GPS out a little today so needed to use the cryptic clues, thanks for a cache well done.
A nice new dry log now in place and a new container too. Should be much better. Seem to have lost the pencil now though so please BYO until we drop one in.
Mrs Sobad takes the credit for this one. Decoded a couple of days ago and found while Sobad watching cricket. log completely soaked and gell also sodden. Logged on some paper found in car but no time to dry previous log.

Checked on this one at lunch time with a view to replacing it - log is now dry but the mould remains - I think it adds some character so left it as is - let me know if there are any further problems and I will replace it.
