Greetings from West Sacramento, California! Papa EGTH are on Day 1 of our 3-week honeymoon and after arriving in Auckland a little after 5am this morning, we stopped for this cache while heading to Whangarei. Unfortunately for us, we DNFed it along with the 8 cachers before us. The area is quite trashy and this cache needs a bit of maintenance to check on its welfare. Thanks for bringing us to the nice viewpoint!
Think I found every kind of bottle but a vee. Did spot a vee can but alas it was not the cache , just another piece of rubbish. Will try again some time
There was a very worn track through the grass so maybe we were all in a wild goose chase. Couldn't see anything around the posts
Found this cache as my family and I returned from Dome Valley to Orewa. My nephew found it whilst I was struggling w/GPS. I reckon he will become a full time cacher! Logbook was in good condition but did receive a jolt whilst replacing the cache. Unsure whether the fence was electrified but something happened and now my arm is beginning to swell up :'((

Looook out... oh year humans have been here again chucking their rubbish over.. was tempted to put on my forensic gloves and take the bags for examination then turf them in to the front yard of the owner,.. luckly i had places to be and things to do...
We we trying to avoid the toll road, and somehow ended up heading the wrong way so had to turn around. As it happened, we stopped near this cache. Quick find in the drizzle. TFTC
On our way to puhoi for a walk with friends. Had a stop off a lookout...very nice as you really don't lookout when you are whizzing past! Found safe and sound..Thanks!
Found it together with SL_Wayne during our amazing holidays here in New Zealand.
Thanks for the cache!!
Thanks for the cache!!
Today we headed headed from Auckland to Mangawhai Heads finding caches at each small town along the way. We enjoyed our drive around the lush green countryside.
Thanks for placing this cache glyn(the only one)
A great place to stop and stretch the legs on a long journey. Last bit of freedom before hitting Auckland. Not much traffic whizzing past so it was easy to retrieve the cache.
After I found a way out of Auckland...I am now on my way to Paihia. Here I had a beautiful view. TFTC
It's amazing how you can have a cache right in front of people who couldn't imagine it's there! I found it with ease, so discreetly hidden, I like the camo on cache too.
Another quick find as we admire the view down to Puhoi and the traffic masses for Easter. Time to turn around and head another way!
My favourite view in my commute days from Omaha to the North Shore. Didn't need to wait for 3G to kick in as was in obvious place that I went to stand by.
What an awesome view from here. Walked towards the wrong pace first, need to trust my GPS more

Found with renelm and Difool, logged as RAD to save log space, time and trees.
I am not much of a logwriter, so see renelms, and possibly Difools, log for details.

On our way back from Warkworth we decided to take the old road and gather a cache we needed for the day. GPS had us a little further down the fence from where we eventually found it. Previous logs state there were trackables in here...but can't seem to fathom how on earth they would fit in. Gorgeous views from here, thanks for the cache
Found this at 8:55am on a beautiful, sunny Sunday. We had seen the Route 66 caches and thought they could give us a chance to manage the challenge of finding 50 caches in one day all at least 1 km apart. This was our first of the caches! We're home again now and were successful in our mission. Set our trip meter here and we travelled 130kms and took almost exactly 7 hours to do it. We used 29 of the Route 66 hides and 7 of the 101 Dalmatians. By that time we had 42 and were looking good but the final 8 proved a bit of a struggle. This was sure a nice way to start; beautiful view and a quick find. A fav! NINO TFTC
HOUSIE ,
Left Beatles number '64'
An enjoyable cache find. Unfortunately there are no trackables in this cache. I am travelling to Aus tomorrow and wanted to take one with me.
Nice cache container, thanks for the fun.

We picked up 3 of the 5 trackables listed in this cache's inventory in GC22VJJ. I think they have been logged into the wrong cache
We found it by the trip to Pohui.
But there was no TB inside

On our way to Whangarei for a meeting, caching all the way, as you do.
A chance to clean up a few of the northland caches.
Mr S strikes again. While Mrs S stretched her legs for the sake of the passing muggle traffic. Plenty of it on this old road on spite of the new highway. People don't want to pay tolls??
We took the old road so we can go Geocaching. Motorways are no good for Geocaching along.
Great view.
Thanks glyn(the only one)

During our visit in beautiful New Zealand, we have naturally sought some caches. There were many memorable impressions on our trip and showed us some caches the New Zealand off the beaten path. You have a wonderful country! We thank all Ownern for the cache and send best regards from Germany, Saxony, Leipzig 2 Supermuggels
This section of the old SH1 is much less busy now but never-the-less muggles with wheels a bit disruptive. Not the usual hide but never the less, challenging and soon found being well hidden!! TFTC
Stunning view from here. I really love this region - it is beautiful. TFTC

Great place for a cache & a very nice hiding spot with a great view! Took me a couple of minutes to locate as coordinates were slightly off. No sign of the TB though. TFTC
Found on our way to Auckland.

The last time we came through here the tunnel was not open, so there was a lot less traffic this morning and it was quite pleasant.
Sent the trwo women off again and after a friutless search i got out and went to the exact spot and there it was much to their disgust ha ha.
Lookout POOhoi was more like it. After avoiding the wee pile that someone had so kindly left there for us searched for it. Wasa got out of the car and walked straight up to it and retrieved it. Well done WASA
This one was particularly easy to find, as the cache was visible from the car as we pulled up into the lay-by. We didn't even have to search for it "G" got out and grabbed it, and we signed the log in the comfort of the car. She re-hid it so that any sight seeing muggles wouldn't find it easily.
Heading to Wenderholm after having completed Mahurangi West and its associated caches, Nice Quick find with great views over the area. The road is deffinatly far nicer now that most take the New Toll road

Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
We spent the morning out at Mahurangi West and picked up this cache on our way back to the city. We had to wait for 5 minutes for some people taking a smoke break a GZ, but we soon found the cache after they left.
Thanks for the cache!

A quick find in a great spot with stunning views. Thanks for the incentive to stop and take them in. TFTC
Nice camo. Managed to find quite quickly although not in the first place I looked. Parked behind a police iCar parked at GZ but he soon hooned off up the road with tyres screaming, leaving me to do what I came for. TFTC.
Finally, a cache we managed to pull over for and its a good decision because the view today is stunning. Fumbled around a little bit but in the end the hide presented no problems. Took our photo and we were quickly back on the road.

"V" bottle is a bit misleading, but still a really neat cache to find, and even on a crappy day like today was weatherwise the view was great, cheers for the glyn.
#583, well hidden, missed first sweep, hubby had to get out of car to find for me. Cool hide. TFTC
Great views to be had here!!!
Grabbing a few caches in the area while passing through on our 'how ever long it takes' NZ tour.
Thanks for setting this up.

Last for the weekend. Had to wait out a few muggles, then there it was, easy peesy, good hide. Nice to finally get a smiley on this one. SL. TFTC.
Great view, clever hide.
Enjoyed the views before heading to puhoi today.
