CO needs to check this one please. I found where I'm pretty sure the cache should be but didn't seem to be there.
After arriving in NZ from Victoria Australia, we had some time.to explore and thought we would try for this smile but it was to allude us today, we searched between the rain, but maybe it was.a case of cache blindness or maybe it is missing, thanks for the fun though
Last one for the night, another cool perspective of the bridge, thanks for bringing me down this way
I was having refreshments at the nearby pub with my cousin and her partner who were visiting from the UK and wondered if there was a cache nearby. Ooh, one across the road and another one just down the road. So after collecting the one across the road, we came down here and after a short stroll I signed the log while they waited patiently
Out doing a bit of caching with Mr NewlynFam today, collecting GIO-licence requirements. We had finished finding the caches that we needed to, and were heading back towards the motorway, when we decided at the last minute to detour here, as it was a spot neither of us had been before, and we thought it would be interesting to see what the bridge looked like from the other side.
Parked nearby and wandered down past the building first, admiring the sights before taking the high road towards this cache. No-one around today, and thanks to the specific hint, it was a nice quick find at GZ.
Returned the cache and decided to continue exploring nearby. Found some cool poems printed on to the support columns of the bridge, and found the memorial. A very interesting spot to visit.
Thanks for bringing us here, G--2.

Came up from Palmerston North to see family, and attend the Royal New Zealand 75th open day. What a mission to get here (peak hour traffic I'm not use to this ha ha). But as soon as I got here, it was quite a neat place. Thanks for the history lesson and for bringing me here, Spoke with a bridge worker, who pointed me to the direction of the memorial plaque. Cache found with help from hint. the plastic bag is ripped (sorry I didn't have any spare on me). Paper a tiny bit dam but was able to log. Took some photos. Love caches that bring me to places like this.
Hard to work out what road to take. Also wasn't aware that you the area under the bridge was here. After a good stair climb cache was a quick find between showers
Very cold, windy day for caching but worth it for the second find of the day. Lid had fallen off so cache was a bit damp.
The location of this one depending on the approach taken almost appeared that it could be on private land. But we rested assured that it was not. Not like the other night when we were challenged.
I was in the area with time to spare and thought a few caches would be in order, and as the location of this one had always intrigued me decided today was the day to take a look.
Arriving at GZ I was sidetracked by the bridge structure and seeing it for the first time from the underside... so often do I drive over the thing, but to see it from the underside was amazing... the day was a stunner and the views over the harbor were out standing.
TFTC and bringing me here.

Like others started from the wrong direction. Worth it for the amazing view of the bridge
We were in the complete wrong place to begin with. When we found GZ it was beautiful. Great cache placement. TFTC we are really enjoying visiting from HB
We accessed it from the wrong point so took forever to find. 3 day road trip from Hawkes bay to Auckland and back. Great few days to grab a number of caches. Tftc
Waiting for the ferry i thought i should give it a try and soon there it was in my hands!

Headed over the bridge after work and had a few minutes up my sleeve before slieschke's leaving party so thought id go find some nearby caches. Ive never been under the bridge before and never realised you can drive under so far! I managed to park very close and made the short walk over to GZ. The cache was quickly found and i picked up the TB. Thanks for showing me this spot glyn and TFTC!
Out for a caching adventure with the team. Mopping up some more caches in the home territory. Stunning views. Time to drop a tb off. Log book getting full. Tftc
Finally found the right tree. GPS wanted me to do a little bush bashing, but I was not going to let that happen today. As I was about to leave, I thought, what about that one... Nice little resting place. TFTC
Cheers! Tried to visit this cache a couple of weeks ago, but a large group of muggles had chosen the GZ as a rendezvous point - no such problems today.
It has been an awesome day today, weather perfect for caching. Time to have a go at North Shore caches without a FTF to be involved - eh G!! I have been here once before but I can't remember what decade! The restaurant here used to be a fish restaurant once but I'm not sure. I walked up the hill to find the cache and find the cache I did! I saw something suspect in a bucket growing, it looked like marriage-juana! Didn't bother smokin' it just in case it wasn't. So now with cache found, I went to check out the plaque, I see a few people have died building the bridge. Pity about the idiots who have deliberately taken their lives by jumping of..
A few mins to spare b4 a meeting shame i took the unorthadox approach to this one but quick find at gz tftc Lokky 1 1 July 2015 11:36
Had an hour to kill, so went wandering around our old haunts. Found quite quickly before a hoard of Muggles arrived. Sun was getting low and it got a bit spooky in there.
Thanks G-2's Bodyguard.
Thanks G-2's Bodyguard.
always walk right past lol, went back and had a think about it and found it straight away. Tftc
I found this area fascinating. I found cache easily. Picked up the TB then took the doggies for an exploration along the trail. TFTC
Since there were two possible ways to go up, I picked the wrong one first. After a quick u-turn, I got on the right path and got to GZ and the cache quickly. TFTC.
I had been here a few times and have always found under the Bridge an interesting spot. The cache was a quick and easy one due to the lack of muggles. I grabbed the cache and signed the log away from GZ. TFTC! NINO.
Phone GPS struggled under the trees but once GZ determined cache was located quickly. Walked to the end of the point and watched the sun slip behind the Waitakeres. TFTC
Took a bit of mucking about cause my gps struggled under the trees but got there in the end.
Used this awesome sunny Auckland day to clean up the north shore a little bit. Didn't know about this spot. Love it. TFTC
Elle Lagerberg came around this evening to drop off some jam she had made, as there was still some daylight left she suggested we go out and grab a couple of caches. As we arrived at GZ the sun was setting and the views around there looked amazing. I had the cache quickly in hand and the log book was signed. TFTC #279
It was such a fine day, I just had to make the most of it and pick up some caches. Thanks for showing me this interesting place.
It is quite a marvellous structure. Those houses would have been in a premo spto if it wasnt for the honking big motoway abouve their heads
Yet another well camoed, yet easily found cache due to great coords and the hint giving us a unique view of Auckland, thanks once again to geocaching. Removed some trash, SL TFTC
I think the beautifully maintained house close by is what makes this such an interesting location for a cache. All must have been perfect with life for the householders at the time until one day, a massive great bridge was built overhead, and one presumes life could never have been quite the same again. TFTC
This was a cool spot and you're right about the view. The nearby house was once in prime position before the bridge was built. Can't imagine there was a lot of consultation done in those days before the motorway came through. Another quick find before a work meeting with a colleague who is a natural geocacher. TFTC
Thank goodness I read the cache page fully before embarking on the pointless hike up the hill I was intending on doing!! Found some stairs and cache was soon in hand exactly where it said it would be.
Thanks for bringing me here.
Thanks for bringing me here.
This was a great cache - not because of the cache... but because of the "hidden" prose. Fabulous. Thanks for bringing us here.
Took the opportunity while down in Auckland to pick up a few caches (not as many as I'd like though). Thought Northcote Point would be somewhere new and not too far off the motorway. Although we used to leave 15 minutes away and have been as far as the cinemas, never made as far as this. An easy find in a great location. TFTC.
Nice easy find.. .great spot.. never been here before. . found with the wonderful wendythebean.. tftc
Quick easy find, could not believe how swanky the houses under the bridges are in Auckland!
Auckland, you're doing a fantastic job at hiding your cultural jewels. Interesting area - liked the writing on the pillars. TFTC!
Our first cache find. Good fun- esp as I have walked past it a million times !!!!!( )
A quick find while out and about in the area. This was certainly a very interesting area! We really enjoyed the views of the harbour bridge from this angle. TFTC
Wow, what a fantastic place this is! You wouldn't expect the area around bridge supports to be so interesting,
particularly with the poetry on the pillars. We feared the worst when we saw a large area fenced off and diggers at work, but luckily GZ is just outside the work zone. We dropped off a trackable from the UK with Pooh, Piglet and Tigger attached. It wants to visit caches close to bridges around the world. You wouldn't be able to play Pooh Sticks off this one, though!

Cool ... found it ! Have been wanting to do all these Northcote ones for a while ! Nice easy start thanks !
Found the cache quick enough and in good condition. The bridge is really impressive from this angle. It's pretty amazing the maze of piles you have to drive through to get to the end of the road. Hope no one smacks one with a car! Geocoin in. Cheers for the cache.
A quick find once I I got onto the right path. Really enjoyed a further exploratory walk around here, an amazing network of short paths, roads and parks. Many thanks for the visit to a completely new area for me.
Found as my cache for the day after work. Didn't look far enough on my first look but then found it after looking a bit further. Boy does the Harbour Bridge looks much taller than it feels like it is when driving over it! Certainly an interesting area.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Out with slimthedestroyer for him to reach 100/100 before leaving Auckland. Quick find and on to the next one so no time to stop for the views. TFTC
Had spent the day in the area for some awesome caching. On the way back home, I realized that I had forgotten this cache. So we went around and went find it. TFTC
I found this cache at 5:22pm. Keen to get out of the traffic, we weren't sad to pull off the freeway and try and find this cache. A bit of a hunt around and the cache was soon in had. I also grabbed the TB I found in this cache to take back home with me.
After my other half spent the afternoon at MOTAT we picked up a few more caches around Auckland on the way back to our accommodation. It ended up being a numbers day, as I realised I only had less than 20 caches to find to get to a total of 1900 finds for me. It would be nice to get the landmark here in New Zealand, so that was the target.
Thanks for the cache glyn(the only one)!! LouiseAnn - visiting from Melbourne

I have lived in Auckland the majority of my life; driven over the Harbour Bridge countless times; run over the Harbour Bridge six times. However I have never been to this location before although I have always wanted to. Deciding to collect some geocaches on Waitangi Day, this was the perfect excuse. All I can say is that I am so glad that I did . This was a fantastic experience and it was great to explore the area. Dropped a TB and collected three. TFTC!
Another cache for the day on "KiwifruitsNZ Day of Milestones".
Easy find and quickly moved on to the next one.
