Eeek!!! It has gone. I really must write my logs a bit sooner
Nice cache in the grandstand. Watched by kangabounces on the green playing field.
It was a nice hide, why have you archived it?
Thanks, Robmc.

Found @ 5:55pm with RobMc
Took a methodical search to find with Rob coming up trumps - had to sign in a spare space in someone else's spot.
A dad was playing cricket with his kids while a small mob of kangaroos was grazing in the outfield!

A nice find on a sunny lunchtime outing. Only the second one of these I have seen. Nice views over Queanbeyan. TFTC
first for the day, nice hide took me a while but it helps when you bring geobaby along for a look, you can get down on your hands and knees to "play with child" look for thing.
well the first cache of the day..DNF muggled as it turns out cache blindness.. no-one about so it made the search easier
BTW Log nearly full space for 1 more..
Thanks for the GAFF Matt.

I was going to have to log a dnf for this cache. Mtrax and I searched and even after mtrax called the helpline no joy, so we continued on to the next cache. During the day mtrax got a call from Big Matt saying it was still there so we headed back and of course we found the cache. Thanks Big Matt and Shell
Spent a good 25 minutes here again looking before we finally found it, well, Rubai and linFox found it whilst I was looking elsewhere, and was continuing to look for it until about 5 minutes after it had been found Anyway, good to find it before the rain hit,
Thanks, Jezzza Xtreme.
Thanks, Jezzza Xtreme.

1463. Finally it is mine. Ah such sweet etc... Except that I used the phone a friend option. Well okay I spoke to Big Matt about it and still had the last miss. This time I took no chances and the phone a friend was actually lead a friend their by the ear and force him with threats to show me where it was hidden. Thanks for your assistance ZZ7.
TFTC and thanks for the views that I've admired a number of times, at least it's green now.

Despite my good instincts putting me right on top of it, I just couldn't locate this pesky little cache. Eventually Bewilderbeest took pity on me (or got sick of waiting) and put me out of my misery and helped out. Oh yeah, that'll be it. Duh!
Thanks Big Matt and Shell for a simple but effective hide.

What a pain in the Rear End this one was, but then recalled back to MC KENNA who we ran into doing a seperate cache and had mentioned how sneaky it was. and i thought Micros were a pain, i'd classify this as a Nano
Took a while but its now one of our finds. Had to wait what seemed like hrs (actually 15 Min) to return it to its nest. Kids playing golf would not stay away long enough so I could hide it
Had a look in all the usual places but no cigar! Windy as anything! Ran out of time so, will return to look again.........
My first nanocache. It was a good hide, thanks for the clue.
Really didn't think a cache could be so small. Thanks Bear 640

16:45 This is a SNEAKY hide that caused a bit of swearing, but we walked away pretty happy with ourselves knowing that we found it.

!!!!!100th!!!!! Team Dean and the geokids poured over this area while I sat in the big blue truck looking after geobaby. After awhile thought they need another set of eyes and went to investigate (yes I took geobaby with me!!) still nothing.......I screamed to the cache "REVEAL YOURSELF YOU LITTLE......" and then checked again at the spot the GPS said and bugger me if it didn't pop its head out!!! Still - fun find!! TFT 100th Cache!!
As I approached the area I could see from a couple of hundred metres away a structure that was the last place on Earth I wanted the cache to be hidden [:o]
But of course that is where it is, apparently
I had a damn good, long look today, but no prize [:o]
Methinks it must be another size down the scale from what I was looking for today

Maybe a quick grab for Chip, but not for me. It was a very long hop from the car... I did myself a nasty knee injury down at the snow but still insisted on caching on the trip home!
Cheers

Well, back for another look, with a slightly more locaised area to search in thanks to Matt. It still took me keeping my eyes open for one of these tricky little blighters! Thanks.

A couple of people on the far side of the oval so we had a fairly extensive look, but came up with nothing
Oh well.
Oh well.
Indeed we had a good look around, unfortunately came up with nothing.
Wondering if it's still intact (although could just be a horrible streak ).

Aaaargh, another miss on this one. Why can't I find it????? I had the place to myself. I think I'm getting worser.

Found at 1935. After searching for approximately 20 mins on hands and knees in the freezing cold, I am quite happy to log this one. A cache I have seen many times before, although this one was really hard to spot, especially at night.

I am backdating this to when I first found it.
My introduction to Caching. Gwennie took me along as driver. With Mc Kenna, Gwen and Red Budgie egging me on I soon became hooked.

Hey that was fun.... looked like a complete drongo by trying to look casual for too much time so gave up - returned later and found it... Then managed to shash it away as Gwennie1984 arrived.
All good
and thanks for the great hides.

Another tricky one for the day. Took a couple of goes (and trying to dodge random golf balls). Found with Mc Kenna and Budgie.

8 of 10 finds on a trip out to Captains Flat to find our 200th find! Used to train for footy on these ovals, alongside the roos! TFTC. LivandMez.
Dropped in here today after the DNF to check on the cache. It seems to have suffered from a fair bit of creep. I moved it back to where it should be.
QF but once i had the container i couldn't get the log out, i had to get some tweesers to retrieve the log. logged at 1730, tftc
Yes the log is full but it is still there
found it today my daughter didnt say that it was unavailable
so we went looking for it and hay presto found a small blank place in the log and signed it

A quick find with the place to ourselves. Managed to squeeze our mark onto the full log before heading on to our next cache. Thanks Big Matt and Shell

I knew it would be there! In a brief hail storm and all as well. Didn't hang around. Thanks for the cache. 3rd for the day. ZZ7
Great spot as the sun was setting, we watched it go down after signing the log. This log needs replacing as we had to sign on the log title as there is no space left. Thank you for the cache.
Lots of places to check and this one took a few moments! The log is completely full and we pretty well had to overwrite.
It was a very good view from the top of the grandstand. And I had lots of fun throwing my golf ball down the seats and my sister throwing it back up.
Thank you thank you!!!
Thank you thank you!!!
Took a few minutes searching but found no probs. I used to come here as a kid - my mates and I used to use this grandstand as a launching place for our balsawood gliders.
The grandstand hasn't changed much, but the surrounding area has - were'd all those houses spring from?!?
The log is fairly full, might be time for a replacement.
Thanks Big Matt and Shell for the trip down memory lane.
Edit: oops, wrong date

The spot the cache was hidden in was a bit obvious but it still took a while to find.

Yep, good one - found with gavz. Took us a while to find, as it was very cleverly hidden. TNLN, TFTC
A quick find when we worked out the GZ. A family were playing cricket so we filled out the log to good ol family banter.
12:00 Hrs
There were no muggle cricketers here today, and we were left to search in peace. I spotted this one after a brief search.
Thanks Big Matt and Shell.

1st of a mini run through Queanbeyan today. I think I remember playing on this oval once?
These nanos can either be very easy or very hard. I was lucky with this one and found it in about 30 seconds - no muggles about either...
TNLN - TFTC !!
Cache number 220.

#59 - The view is surprisingly good for not being on a hill. Took a bit of searching to find. Had a visit from a couple of Labradoodles while we were looking. Had heard of them before but never seen one. TFTC
Had a pretty good look but there was sport on and a bunch of kids where throwing balls around near where it should have been, so I guess I was a little distracted.
Will try again of course.

Looked in a few spots before coming up with the goods. It is not a bad view here and nice park.
It took me a bit of a while to find this cache as I was not prepared for how small it was! Micro indeed.
Went in the morning to attempt this one but the place was overrun with mini cricketing muggles. Returned at 1700 and was able to find cache (wasn't exactly what we were expecting) with no spectators about.
Found this one also after The Rats and richlink had been. Took a while - just so many possibilities. Fortunately the coords appeared to be very accurate & I tried to imagine the most logical spot.

I must have jagged this one, the first spot I put the gizmo and pen down to start searching was right on GZ. Thanks Matt
Found with becsmith. Took us a little longer than we would have liked to find this one. Only had around 9m accuracy on the GPS and there were plenty of possibilities for the hide! Just as we were about to give up we had the cache in hand, and just in time because a group of muggles decided to come out to play! TFTC
This one took us a while to find, and just as we were going to give up and leave, Hayleylou managed to spot it!
Excellent hide, although we felt pretty exposed.
Lovely view, TFTC.

1st of four find in the Queanbeyan area for the day.
GPS had me a little way away from GZ to start with, but the clue turned me in the right diretion......cache wouldn't stay on wood.
Eventually found it, signed log and ready to move on.
Do they use the place for cricket at all?
TFTC.

Went with wasptor to find this cache, searched for a bit before we found it. Took my two year old son with me so it was great having the diggers close for him to see. TFTC
This took Fraggle_Rock and I a bit longer than it should have. We kind of knew what we would be looking for, and the GPS took us right on the mark, we just didn't see it and then started hunting around it. Either way, was a nice spot for a cache, and not a muggle in sight.
Lots of potential spots to hide something that small, and 9m accuracy wasn't helping, but we found it after a few minutes. Our second Matt and Shell nano for today, thanks!
This one took a few minutes to find as there were so many possible hidding spots close by. Eventually spotted the little bugger and got it signed off, unique view from here well spotted.

Yep the view was good, but the smell wasn’t... I think one of the afore mentioned kangaroos was not to well nearby... Luckily I found it quickly, signed log, and headed off! TNLN, Thanks Big Matt and Shell!
Remeniscent of the days when I was little and ran around this park doing Little A's.... Certainly easy to keep an eye on muggles...
Found @4:00pm.
What a great spot for a cache. Loved the hide and the location. It certainly commanded a view of all muggle activity within 500M. TFTC

We often take the dog to this spot to chase tennis balls, so I had to log this one on our next visit. My GPS placed GZ for the coordinates quite some way from the cache, but that said, it didn't take a lot of imagination to conclude where the cache was likely to be - and there it was. My second ever nano-cache. Nice view from this spot. Dog had a ball (pun intended).

Thanks Big Matt & Shell for a fun hunt. Plenty of places to look. And what a very very nice view to be had from this elevation. The park is so very green. As I walked from the car to the stand, I could see my favourite spire in Canberra - it is great to be caching in the Greater ACT.
After signing the log, I sat there for a few minutes just to relax and savour the view - thanks for showing it to me.

found this cache!!! it took awhile to find it but a nice view of the park!!! a very nice spot to put the cache!!!
A *FTF* . Yes, there was a solitary roo hopping around and eating the nice green grass.
Took a while to locate the cache, but then sat down and enjoyed the early morning views - very nice. Second FTF for the morning.
Thanks for a great location.

We just drove past here on the way back from a FTF and there was hundreds of roos on the oval here. Might be a thing to remember if you are here after dark.
