Well damn, thought we had a breakthrough when we figured out the hunt but still no luck and after 10 minutes of thorough searching around the letter we were still unable to locate it

"Mag" element has failed so cache had fallen from probable original spot but I placed it back rather than leaving in the grass.
Thanks for the park and grab. Holidaying in Kuratau from Wellington, had to get at least one cache while away

Find number 7773. My daughter is doing the Te Araroa trail And I have been a support person for a few days as she paddled the Whanganui [I was the other in the canoe] and cycled from Pipiriki to Whanganui. A 7pm crossing of the river at Koitiata where I met her and we camped for the night. An early start as she set off to walk to Bulls and I cached my way back to Hamilton. Doing just specific caches.
Cache may have moved slightly but basically you aRe able to find it. Thank you for the placement.

Hint made sense as soon as we got there. No log book. Put in a bit of paper. So log needs replacing
Found the empty mint tin with magnet, in the rocks, so put it back per hint. Didn't have a replacement log, so it needs maintenance! Chur
Found today. Decided to get to it from the street side, bit safer, with all the holiday traffic. Thanks fir the cache
Yes, this feature definitely needs a geocache. Great clUe. Biggest concern was crossing the busy road. TFTC
Travelling south in our motorhome, we spent last night at the new NZMCA park just along the road. This is the first cache for 2021. Nice quick easy find. Thank yoU for the cache.
I've been coming to Turangi regularly for holidays since I was a year old and only today have I found this cache! Almost 22 years later. Tftc
A nice little cache to bring up the big 100. Great hint, great cache, thanks for bringing us here
Found it on my return visit toTurangi on my stopover here while heading off to Manuwatu for Halloween weekend. TFTC
On our way down to Wellington and of course we’re picking up a few caches on the way past. A beautiful day here today. TFTC
We saw the angler on the way into Turangi and wondered if there was a cache. Checked the phone and got out for an instant find with the hint. No time for more caches in the town as we were heading for lunch then Taupo.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Nice fast doing some stuff in town. Not where I remember it did it again because we lost our other account but nice. Thanks!
Travelling New Zealand with ThomasK03.Grabbing a few easy caches along the way through this beautiful country. In this area fir the next 3 days so hopefully grab a few more. TFTC

Volgende keer gaan we weer verder.

Day two of my road trip from Auckland to Nelson in my newly acquired convertible cachemobile. Finding a few caches along the way. After finding the cache by the underpass I walked along to this one. I pondered the hint along the way but when I got closer I had to laugh and yes that exactly where I found the cache. TFTC, Biggles.
Second cache of the day while travelling from Taupo to Wellington with @peadub. Very easy find. A few muggles around taking photos of the Turangi sign - had to be quick! Signed log and replaced where found. TFTC.
#652. In Turangi to tackle the Crossing tomorrow... time for a walk after dinner to make a quick grab.
Cool spot. All in good order.

Needed a quick leg stretch after Desert Road. Nice quick find on beautiful day. TFTC.
Travelling down to Whanganui this week for work. Taking the scenic route and collecting some smileys. No problems here with the clear hint. TFTC
Found by the Bounty Geo Hunters~~ follow us on insta. Great place to stop. Gotta take the clue litterally
End of year family trip before Xmas to this fabulous location. Staying with family friends at their batch. Our 5 year olds are getting into this great outdoors adventuring and just lovely to see them waiting to find the next one. We have loved all the finds.... dispite the rain..... and highly recommend finds in this area. Definitely feeling caches spirit around here. Wish we had more time to find them all. TFTF'S
Found with a sister during our expedition to NZ (from CZ), where we explored part of the North Island and could visit our classmates and friends that we have not seen for several years, as it is here, in Auckland and Napier live ... Thank you for cache ...
Great sign that stands out. The school holidays are here and NosyNel and I have been on a road trip north - to the far north. Today is the last day and we are heading home. TFTC. Signed NNES.

We're going from Hamilton to Wellington with a few diversions. I fly out tonight.
Yay school holidays! Time for a road trip with my friend Ethness. I flew from Christchurch to Wellington. The idea is to drive up to the top of the North Island and back. We planned the trip ages ago.
Thanks XenaCommander and TechnoKitten for placing this geocache 7878 find for me.
Sadly there was no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland.

Miss 11 had this cache in hand within seconds. Nice to stop and get a pic here on our journey from Whanganui to Hamilton via the detour route after the crazy happenings on the Parapara. Tftc
Out on a nice sunny day enjoying geocaching. Easy find after our brains started working. Thanks.
Vacations 2019 - Road trip trough New Zealand
With Geoesposa, this was my 50th anniversary. 16 days, 4200Kms and a few hundreds smilles after, i was sure i saw nothing....
I liked everything, the friendly and civilized people, the way the country works, the roads and especially the natural beauty of New Zealand.
I fell in love....
I decided to go back in 5 years, I easily see myself living my last days somewhere lost in any stunning scenery of this wonderful country.
With the itinerary studied at home, the caches were the ones that were in the chosen places, and a few used to stretch the legs. It was decidedly not the most important on this trip. Of all the visited, only half a dozen did not appear, all being in good health except two or three.
I will use this generic log, not for disrespect of the owners, but due to the amount of caches visited. Here the majority of caches serve to show something beautiful (as it should be), not giving importance to the container.
My thanks to all the ownwers who, allied to the natural beauty of the country, have made this vacation unforgettable.

Nice and easy, but the sudden appearance of the deer scared us (we were hunting at night)
Thanks for the cache

Wow stopped here for a photo. Not knowing here is a cache. Very glad we stopped. Found the cache at gc but hopefully returned to the correct place as per hint.
Mum, 11YO and 7YO made the find while waiting for Dad to complete the Tongariro River trail. The clue was perfect for young finders (though 14YO, who didnt want to join in the caching; was calling out his thoughts on location from the car!)
Enjoyed our 17.5 km round trip from our lodging collecting caches on the southern circuit of the river trail yesterday. Today we hope to collect the remaining caches in and around Turangi on a much shorter circuit of about 8km. The beautiful Autumn colours were a delight and Turangi will certainly be somewhere we come to again. Thanks XenaCommander and TechnoKitten for bringing us here.
This is day nine of a ten day trip down to Dunedin and back to move my daughter there so she can get her master’s degree at Otago University. I spent the morning around Himatangi doing a series of caches, and then headed up to Turangi. I was going to stay a second night, but the weather was closing in.
I missed this one on a few other occasions. Since it was recently replaced I had high hopes of finding it this time. At first, I missed the information on the next hiding spot, so I looked at the old places first. Once I re-read the log entries, I realized that there was a new location and then I found the cache straightaway. TFTC.

On a geocaching adventure around the country with myself, my car and my tent. Drove almost 4000km and collected 170 caches over a week of roadtripping, camping and seeing the beautiful sights of New Zealand. Lots of fun and so many great caches were found, as well as a lot of DNF's. Apologies for copy paste post. Thank you to all cache owners. Day one driving from Hamilton to Wellington. Thank you for the cache
Meanwhile this is my third geocaching-trip to Middle-Earth . And I love it! [:X]
But still there are routes and places in this beautiful country that are on the 'discover-me' list and want to be visited and explored.
Day #11:
The red rental-cache-car took me on a very long northbound journey from Palmerston North to Mount Wellington near Auckland .
The weather was quite pleasant, except in the Ruhapehu-Region [xx(] - just like during the previous visits [;))...
Along the scenic route there were some great geo-treasures [^] worth a stop. Just like this one:
Very nicely placed at a cool statue [^]. Love those trouts, would never angel them ...
Thanks to the owner [:X] for placing and maintaining this cache and cheers from Germany!

Appalling weather for caching but I did it anyway! I found the most caches out of all the days on my holiday, just because they were mostly drive by's... Decisions to be made here - south or north first? TFTC!!
On our trip thru NZ we visit a lot of places and see many spectacular locations.
This cache was one of our stopps thanks a lot to the owner.

Having had a nice long break celebrating Xmas and New Years in Auckland, all good things must come to an end. Having to go back to work tomorrow meant that I had to brave the busy roads to do the big drive back home today, but at least I got to break up the journey a bit by stopping to search for some caches along the way.
I've often stayed in Turangi with my son, but that was back before I discovered Geocaching so now I have to come back and re-discover this town anew. I was going to visit the nearby TB motel so figured I would stop by this one whilst I was here. Parking up 30-odd metres from GZ, it was a quick and easy find exactly where the hint says it is. The nearby rock served as a handy seat whilst I signed the logsheet and then replaced it all exactly as found.
Thank you for the handy break to my journey

During our holidays in New Zealand, we spent a couple of days in north island with program sightseeing, gastronomy and, of course, Geocaching!
So, we took the time to visit a few Caches, to remove some green, orange or blue dots on our map.
We will distribute favorite points according to our mood and caches met.
Thank you to all Owners for the installation of these boxes and for their maintenance.
A nice place for a box!

After failing to get this on a previous trip to NZ we noted it was back up again. So great to replace the sad face with a smiley. Thanks CO's for keeping this one going.
