Logs
Found by Mary & David at 1200. Took us quite a while to find this one. When we did, we found the log to be unuseable, as described by other finders - it is sodden. We left a new sheet of paper in a ziplock bag with our log. Ths isn't a good spot to use a Sistema container. Despite having a seal in their lids, they aren't waterproof, and will fill with water if submerged. Our thanks again to lead scout.
We pulled up here but there were too many muggles close to GZ. After waiting for 10 minutes for them to clear off we decided to leave this one for another day.
I'm AMAZED that Mrs Monch found this one; we searched for a long time, and had a GPSr that really didn't want to lead us to the right place.
Even when she found it, it took me a while to actually see it - it's particularly difficult to spot at present.
Inside was very wet; the log is beyond saving. We didn't have a suitable replacement with us.

Cache was on view although to be fair we knew what to look for. However the cache has not fared well with the rains this week and the container was full of water. Log was also totally soaked and we did not have a suitable replacement. Very hard to write on the log.
Thanks lead scout.

We found our 5th Lead Scout cache at 7:00pm as the 16th of 17 on our Dry and Dusty Northern Suburbs Afternoon. An extremely odd choice for cache placement. Thanks for the cache from D,H & A B-A.
No muggles around today. I hope they don't find this one - it's a very cute hide!
Thanks to lead scout.
Thanks to lead scout.
There was a muggle beside a car nearby but I was able to commence a small search from behind bushes. They went at about the same time as the gps moved me to where the cheeky hide was found. Nicely done and thanks to Lead Scout for this and a couple of other caches today.
On a caching day with Muzza and Barcoder cache # 8 of 30 today. My thanks to lead scout for the cache.
This was cache # 8 of 16 in my day out with Kiwideb and Barcoder. Nice easy find. My thanks once more to lead scout for this cache.
This is the eighth of 30 caches found today in company with Muzza and Kiwideb on another great caching day. The weather was perfect, the company excellent, the caches fantastic. Well lead scout, your caches are never Boer-ing but I am still trying to work out the connection with the name.[?] Did the Library had something to do with it!?
Nice camo, hope everyone watches their step. Thanks for this cache.

Great camo - needed the clue. I'd uncovered it without realising it at first! An unusual location.

Not your usual hide here but it tricked me. I looked at GZ and moved on. Robmc made the find moments later. Like Feathertop I wondered about it's longevity though. Still a good cache and one I'm happy to have found.
Thanks indeed
Thanks indeed
I must confess, i didn't read the description, and I did wonder
Nice camo job, pity Chewin' wasn't wearing his glasses, then he might not have stepped on it
Thanks, Robmc.

Thanks, Robmc.
A quick find and a brazen one. Nice coords made this easy but I for one would never be game enough to leave a cache in such an exposed state. Great camo job. I hope it lasts. Made no exchange. Thanks Lead Scout.
Another find for The Rebel Alliance. L.L.T.R.A
Thanks lead scout for the cache.
Thanks lead scout for the cache.
Cache # 26 of 29 in company with acts2youthgroup in our 'clean up the northern suburbs' day. We found this one at 1620. There were plenty of muggles enjoying the sporting facilities nearby, but they weren't near GZ. Acts2YG had found this one previously, so he parked the car while I went off to look for the cache. I found it after a short search. I made no exchange. Thanks to lead scout for the cache, Cheers, dak.

I don't know about difficulty 1 - I hadn't read any of the logs for this, but was expecting a fairly easy find. It didn't take too long, because I literally stumbled on it - it's a great camo job .

Thanks again lead scout

Stumbled across this one on a beautifully sunny Australia day.

Found at 1440. On arrival I thought, 'It's going to be there or there, or..hang on a minute...is that it'. Couldn't believe it was out in the open as it was, with only a slight bit of camo on top. Hid it a little better.

I was not prepared for such a bold hide, but found it eventually. Marcus Vitruvius was there 25 minutes before me and had rehidden it well. It was nice to get back in the car with the airconditioner after this, it was very hot.
Thanks,

Found 9:45, we'll be a little interested to see how long this cache survives in it's current location

Last find for an interesting morning of caching. Have been trailing behind Biggles Bear all morning, and did not have the fortune to run into them
Have to agree with BB on this one. After a bit of a search, we found the cache, not expecting it to be quite so in the open. Hopefully it does survive and not get muggled. [?]head scratching again with the name and location with this one, could not see the relationship.

Found by Roma and Max.
Having read previous logs we were prepared for an extended search.
However we consider ourselves to be lucky this time as we made a quick find of this well camouflaged container.
We signed the log and made no exchange.
Thanks once more lead scout for another challenge.

Found at 2.15pm GAFF1. Coming off a DNF we were pleased to walk upto GZ and basically look around for a minute or two and then find the slightly unconventional hide. This type of hide usually sees us searching for ages. Thanks lead scout. Took Nut TB
Not an easy find (for me). The smallest 'log' I have come across. I took a mirror keyring and left a geocoin and a soldier - thought it needed one!
We got to this cache while enjoying a bike ride late in the day (avoiding the heat). Wondered at first where it was as there was a bit of tree rubbish which we kicked around. The Nillumbik Council will probably clean it up one of these days. Swapped the geocoin for a TB. Thanx lead scout for the camo challenge.
Loved the disguising technique. Found it and added some objects Andrew x 2,Catherine, Terry and Judy
I had no trouble locating the cache and I did like the camo, I expected to find something related to the Boer war but instead I found a spot that had not much to offer???
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Ah well, back to work today for the first time since before Christmas, so a lunchtime break was needed. Perfect day to get out and find a cache, and this new one not too far away grabbed my attention. Wandered around GZ for a while and after a hint from Eudes the cache was in hand at a location I had probably trodden on a minute or two before! Like others I hope this one is not too prone to an accidental muggle find. Enjoyed the container but wouldn't exactly call its covering a "log".

~11:00 *STF* Third time lucky. I brought along Squire and my Queen - she always has better eyes than me - but as it happens I walked straight up to it. I really hope the cache lasts as despite the great camo, I feel it is in a location that I think is venerable. Thanks lead scout for the challange, And Eudes for the encouragment. Either set of coordinates are fine. Swapped TB's.
Well we went back and finally found it. We will email the lead scout has there have been a couple of changes at GZ and this cache is now in real danger.
Its a great camo job, and would be a pity to loose such a well done cache container.

8:00 Spent about an hour in total without luck - pitty I have a nice TB that would fit in nicely.
Must have just missed the solomon family we also spent a bit of time, GZ was no where near a place I would think a cache to be. and the clue made no sense at GZ. Went for a walk around but could not find anything obvious within 100m or so.

For the second time in 2 days I saw a new cache come up the night before and figured that it would be nabbed before I got there.
For the second time in 2 days, I headed off to GZ for the find anyway and for the second time in 2 days, I nabbed the FTF at 07:40 (exactly 24 hours after our 11th FTF yesterday and therefore our 12th FTF overall ( × 12)).
I had been wondering where all the usual FTF suspects have been but looking at the 2 notes preceding this log of my find, I am now a tad worried. I thought that the hide was a little prone to an accidental find but not within 20 minutes . I made my log entry quite some distance from GZ and there was no-one around when I replaced it so hopefully ...

I was out with the family today and decided to check my email to see who had found it, and was shocked. I thought it had been muggled so I got back to GZ about 12:00 today co check it. 1 log entry, TB still there, however, GPS was telling me to keep going about 5-8 metres. I re-checked the co-ords and have now been up dated. For those who searched and found nothing, my apologies. Try the new numbers.
Still there, still ground level.
