Time to put this hide to rest. I can only replace so many containers. The area is now free for someone else.

###**CACHE OWNER ACTION REQUIRED PLEASE**###

----------

I've noticed this cache is carrying a maintenance log which really does need to be addressed by the cache owner.

The guidelines indicated that periodic visits to check on the cache, as well as prompt attention to any logs that indicate there is a problem, are part of the [**cache owners responsibilities.**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines#listingmaintenance) If you can't attend to the issue promptly, then you need to [**Disable it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=235) - I have Disabled it for you this time.

**Can you please respond to this situation (or indicated your intention) within 14 days,** so others know exactly what is happening with this cache?

You have lots of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:

- Check on the cache, repair and/or replace the cache or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the praises.

- If you really hope to get it fixed but there is some unusual reason why you can't do it soon, then at least post a Write Note log (within 14 days). Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. For ongoing issues (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 28 days so as to keep everyone up to speed.

- If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it,**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.

You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when I next look at the cache page, it is likely that I will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) it on the basis that it has been abandoned.

Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

No luck today...given the previous DNFs a CO visit would be advisable

This geocacher reported that the cache might be missing.

25-Nov-18
On arrival at Wp1 the info was quickly found but when I arrived at the final a land care group where doing some gardening/rubbish clean up and from the previous log I would agree that they have taken it.

26-Sep-18
Arrived this morning with the eldest GeoKid for a quick play and a cache before a meeting I had this morning. She got to play, I missed out on the cache. Assuming the answer is the obvious one (and I cant see it being anything else), I rechecked my maths 3 times and still found myself at the same spot. Looks like a little gardening has been done here, a fairly this layer of fresh mulch has been laid and some small plants have been dropped in. Hint was checked and was of little assistance. Maybe next time, thanks for keeping this one alive DAB.

What a lovely park that I wold not have discovered had it not been for this cache.
My travels to work often bring me to great caches.
Actually a favorite from me.

Jimbo_80 and I found ourselves in the vicinity and we couldn't help but cobble together some coordinates. After a bit of a stroll and/or drive [I'll leave you to guess - choose your own adventure] we arrived at GZ from different angles and jimbo discovered treasure with little delay. (Not sure I understand the string of DNFs and all the watchers; it was an uncomplicated find. Was that a throw-down on 8th January or something?)

Thanks for the cache, RedPaw64!

On a tight schedule but we both love multis so who was I to say no when BendSinister suggested this one nearby? At the start we each did our calculations in the air conditioning, then headed to GZ. Cache was a quick find, safe and sound. Thank you

Found a location but no cache ??

21-Aug-17
Unfound for so long......
The bananas thought why not try.
But turning rocks has now a new world champion contender.
We have honed our skills on this one while trying for success of a different kind.
But alas.....
No luck.....
From Philipp's unloved challenge within 80km of Melbourne, this was the one most sought (for nearly all others in the 1st 100 have been found by us).
It will be interesting to see if any others find it before it gets replaced or retired.
We will watch with interest.

03-Aug-16
No joy for us today

06-Jul-16
Looked and looked turned over every rock in a 2 mile radius will be back again to find it

30-Jun-16
We've been to try and find this one a number of times- before and after it was moved, but we've come up short again today.
Feel like we turned over every rock at our calculated GZ, but the caching gods weren't smiling on us today Sad
Will keep an eye on it for when it is next found. Thanks for the (unsuccessful) hunt!!

05-May-16
Added another DNF to the group for today. The caching gods were not smiling upon us today. Should have stayed in bed Sad

Out on a bike ride today to try to reach #300, that was very successful and a god day was had and a large amount of time was spent on the League of Gentlemen series by geordiefamily and many caches were found!

This was a nice quick multi, calculations done and the nicely sized cache was found!

Finally found after too many attempts to count Big Grin!
Thanks for replacing this cache in a location that enabled an easy retrieval without being arrested, DAB. Accurate co-ords and a good hint enabled a quick find, which makes for more enjoyable caching in locations such as these.
This was an unloved cache, just a few days short of one year here (but who's counting WinkBig Grin?). It also marks a mini-milestone of 100+years of unloved caches found solo.
Thanks once again, DAB. I carefully covered the cache up properly again, so that it hopefully stays in place for many more years.

25-Mar-16
Visited GZ tonight and couldn't find the cache. Replaced cache container and moved GZ to a less conspicuous place. The maths has been changed to reflect the new GZ. There is no need to walk on any garden beds. Good luck !!

21-Jan-16
My 30 multis-in-a-month attempt isn't going so well at the moment...
I attempted this cache 2 years ago, and had the same outcome as today. Searching at GZ, widening the radius up to 20m, and then having to give up the search and sheepishly walk out of the bushes when children arrived at the playground.
I haven't given up yet, but I may have to get a decoy kid or dog next time Smile.
Thanks for keeping this one going, DAB.

Gathered the info and made the calculations. Once we got to GZ, there was a lot of scratching around by 6 people before I managed to make the find. Tahnks RedPaw64, good multi.

On a multi campaign today in the Geelong and surrounding areas with Glanville Girls, Tomstache, wozzle68 and ST37E, we left home in the dark and arrived home in the dark but were very pleased with our achievement of 31 Multis in March on 1 March! We saw some amazing views and our travels took us to many spots we had never visited before.

01-Mar-15
We were out on a caching run today with McLookers, ST37E, Wozzle68 and Tomstache. We set ourselves the personal challenge of trying to find as many multis as we could in one day. We set off from Ballarat and headed into the multi rich territory that is Geelong. We had done our homework on as many as we could before hand and chose multis that we thought would be quick and achievable. It was crazy day that started in Ballarat at 6.30am and didn't finish until late in the evening.
This cache was very well concealed and after much scratching around Mrs McLooker made the find.

01-Mar-15
On a mission today to find 31 Multi-caches to complete a unofficial challenge and to log a recently challenge cache placed in Melbourne's western suburbs. In the company of fine bench of Ballarat caches we set off around 6:30 am and headed in the "general direction of Geelong where we all had plenty of targets to help us reach our goal. After much driving around we had 31 under our belts plush a few others, and we were off to Melbourne to sign the challenge cache. 15 hours later back in Ballarat feeling somewhat tuckered out but satisfied. Smile

A well concealed cache that took a bit longer than expected Thanks.

01-Mar-15
Took a bit to find this one but McLookers did in the end. Thanks for the multi.

Caching today with McLookers, Glanville Girls, ST37E and wozzle68, we left home when it was still dark and it was dark again when we got home. We covered a lot of area but we finished our challenge.

We set out to pick this cache up, we actually worked this one out before we even got there, we thought we were going to be muggled out by the firemen and woman doing there training (the real superheroes) but they seemed to busy doing what they where doing, so under tourch light we set out to find this one, after a big search and widening our area we finally spotted it all tucked away, thanks to RedPaw64 for the cache.

21-Sep-14
Out and about yesterday picking up a few caches around town that we hadn't got to yet. Arrived at this one, got the required info and came up with some co ords that looked ok. A minor miracle for us given that we usually end up on at least one wild goose chase with multi's. Arrived at GZ, checked where the GPS told us and began questioning our co ords. Searched a bit harder (keep forgetting I need to widen the area when caching with my phone) and there was the cache. Not sure if it was where it was originally located, as there seemed to be a bit of muggle scribble in the log book. Replaced where we found it with a little more cover as it was pretty out in the open. Thanks RedPaw64 for the cache.

The Rebel and I took advantage of the school holidays and made our way back to Geelong today. After collected a few caches in Melbourne we travelled south and bagged 60 caches for the day. Some tricky finds and some tricky puzzle solves too. Thanks to all the CO's for their efforts, we had a great day and night out! Quick walk and find.

Nice quick find today while enjoying lunch in the park with Neville-devil. He had already done most of the work for this, but felt a bit odd creeping around so close to a playground. Borrowing a family with kids made it much easier for him! This was an enjoyable cache for the Sims parents, who grew up in the area, and were both friends with Gabrielle.

GPS did the dirty on us today... all the caches we had loaded up to do today were gone when we arrived here.... was not going home to get them... over an hour round trip, so out came the cell phone and GC app and soon typing in the cache co-ords into gps, weather was quite hot too 30c

did not take too long to locate this one..... getting tired the heat today is draining us

thanks to the CO for this one

Find #1381 @ 0920

Found with ABL973, Square_pegs and GazaC. This was found while in the Geelong area for a big day of caching. This one had us looking around for a little while but Pete's keen eyes spotted it. Thanks for the cache RedPaw64.

03-Aug-13
The 2nd multi for the day, and 6th overall. Square_pegs made short work of the search at GZ.
Cheers RedPaw64 for the cache and reminding me of past champions. neat little cache.

03-Aug-13
Today's caching run with Square_Pegs, Gazac and Two_Drew's started just before sunrise on a cold overcast Saturday. With the team assembled and the car fueled we headed westward with a list of caches we were keen to find. This is a cache I've been wanting to find for a while and now I have it.

Thanks to RedPaw64 for hiding this cache and for bringing me here today.

03-Aug-13
It was nice to visit this park that has a reminder of this former champion. With the required information we headed to GZ and after a little searching we spotted it. Thanks RedPaw64 for the cache.

14-Jul-13
My sincere apologies to all cache owners for what I am about to do. Unfortunately, I have been unable to keep up with my logs for the past 5 months or so, meaning that it is becoming very impractical for everybody involved. Over the these last few months I have certainly found some fantastic caches showing off both the beautiful areas around the world, and the ingenious minds of cachers alike. I haven't had the greatast find rate over the past few months, but that is also due to the same reason I have fallen behind in my logs. I would like to thank all cache owners for their wonderful contribution to the caching community, and again I sincerely apologise for the generic logs.

Thanks for this cache RedPaw64 Smile

Love it when multis work out on the first go. Walked to GZ where I could smell a lovely BBCue cooking. They were too busy chatting to notice me. The cache was exposed so that made it easier to locate. Covered it better before leaving.
Nice to have our Olympians honoured like this, and the gardens were lovely.

Found @1417 #2421
Was out and about today running with Ahomburg with today's focus The Mystery of the Fyansford Treasure Horde and after completing this we continue on and while on the drive back to Melbourne picked up a few more. A nice quick 1 offset multi which was nice and quick on a day like today. At this stage the sun was really hot and I could sense myself starting too cook. Once at GZ it was straight to GZ which thankfully had some nice shade near by. TFTC RedPaw64

Find # 2649
Date 17th Feb 2013
Time 2:17 PM

Today was our regular caching day, although it was going to be quite a hot one, we were both keen to go and find The Mystery of the Fyansford Treasure Horde, the cache that everyone is raving about and we wanted to see what all the fuss was about.. So SedgwickDave picked me up at 7AM for a drive down to Geelong via Port Melbourne

After completing our mission for the day, there was time for just a couple more caches before grabbing a late lunch and heading home. This was our second multi for the day, and I think we were getting slightly delirious standing in the hot sun. We quickly grabbed the numbers needed and worked out GZ. Normally we would have walked the distance, but due to the very hot sun, we drove to GZ which was deserted and quickly made the find.

Thanks to RedPaw64 for the cache. TNLN.

13-Feb-13
Two days before my leave is over ... let's catch a cache or two ... while I was trying to seem inconspicuous at GZ, a muggle drove up, but he had a tanker trailer and I think his interest was a council water outlet, not me ... he was doing his best to look inconspicuous too. Took a toy soldier, left a geonickel, SL, TFTC!

Found on a trip from Meredith to Geelong this arvo with Sully1.
We'd previously had a DNF here, but this time expanded our search and eventually
uncovered the sneaky bugger. Thanks RedPaw64, a nice multi with a good story and
a pretty GZ

Bogonghazy and I had attempted this one a while back with no success. We knew we had the right numbers, cause we'd rechecked them 5 times. We broadened our search a little more today, and bogonghazy called the magic words after a brief few minutes. We bowled over 6 or so Multi's today, nice to have this one crossed off at last. Thanks to RedPaw

Found it..... Cache #499

Went out at lunch time, did the sums and started off for the short walk to GZ. the phone rang, a few choice words, back to work.

Went back at 17:30, GZ full off muggles with their muggle dogs..... luckly, they where on the other side of GZ. After a quick search I found the cache and quickly signed the log and re-hid.

Second time lucky for Ninja Wasabi and co. with Linear Cache 1 this morning. This one was doing my head in after failing on the first attempt, due to too much 'jungle' undergrowth and not enough nerve! Thankfully, gardeners or cachers (or a bit of both) have cleared the area, making this cache a nice easy find second time around. Good to know that my maths was okay(!) after all.
Funnily enough, no muggles around, either. Had been a bit worried due to this being a high traffic area, but having a spotter, and a furry cacher for running interference put my mind more at ease. In the end, needn't have worried.
Beautiful, still, sunny spring morning, so finding this cache was a great start to the day. Found at 07:10. Cache in great nick. Signed log, left Canadian coin, took nothing. Was tempted to grab "Purdy", but resisted the urge. Hope she's off travelling again soon, though! Returned cache to where we found it, and continued on our walk.
Thanks for this one, RedPaw64! Thoroughly enjoyed it... and very glad I can NOW cross it off! Cool Here's to the next...

09/09/2012 Checked up on Purdy today, and decided to take her for a couple of adventures! Signed log a second time.

Hmmm, after missing out on a trackable first, this cache threatened to seriously bum my afternoon out. Really not sure if this cache still exists, given last few comments from other cachers, as well. Checked my maths more than once too, and think I was pretty much right on it - just nothing to find. Looked over a really wide area, but came away with nothing. At least the sun was out, and for once here, there were no muggles - or their dogs - anywhere. This was a small miracle in itself! Lucky, as I was flummoxing around in the undergrowth for a good twenty minutes or so, definitely can't say I didn't try! Just disappointed this one 'got away'. Will keep an eye on this one to see how others fare. Thanks anyway RedPaw64

24-Jun-12
One of our days disappointments on a day round this area of Geelong, cleaning up what I've left before.
Bogonghazy and I did the required maths, set off for GZ, and came up with no smiley. It started to spit with rain, so I returned to the car, for yet a third check on our numbers. We'd already done a double check at WP1. The rain eased, so before departing we thought we'd give it one more try. Lots of weed clumps have been pulled up either today or yesterday, they were very fresh and laying around.
Hoping we were in the right spot. But no joy for us here today. Thanks for the hunt though RedPaw64

24-Jun-12
Not found along with Sully1, my caching buddy for the day. We did the maths 3 times, and each time came up with the same set of co-ords. Found ourselves beside a sheltered BBQ area, wonder if the newly pulled weeds had unearthed this one. However, maybe our maths were wrong each time too, and we were in the wrong spot. Thanks anyway RedPaw64

I am new to geocaching and I have walked the Gabrielle Blythe walk for several years. Imagine my surprise to know that there were caches right under my nose. Anyway I worked out where this one would be and was just having a preliminary look (as it was peak muggle time) and as I walked off I could see it on top being held only by a branch. It had some toy soldiers and a page about the geocache but no logbook or pen. I signed the info sheet then semi buried it near where I found it. I didn't have a gps with me so I have no idea how close it was to where it should be.

23-Mar-12
Gave this one a shot during the sunny breaks today. Double checked the math and had a long search around GZ but had no luck. Saw that the last log was made back in November and wonder if there's been some gardening work done since then. Will keep an eye out for this one to see if anyone else finds it.
