Despite a good hunt around we didn't find your cache today.
Could be cache blindness. Could be we just need some more practise finding them...
We did have a very thorough search all over, esp up, with Froghoppin and Honeysucker.
Suspect it may need replacing.
Thanks for the challenge anyway hittin the road ,
will place on the watch list and return asap or when it's been found or maintained!

Another caching day out was organised with Doctor Owl, sushilord and Mrs SA Sewer Rats and as we had seen a few new caches published overnight we decided to head over to Yorke Peninsula to try and get a couple of them. After we had successfully FTF two multis it was time to get a few other caches on our trip around the peninsula. [^]
We were passing this one so we stopped so I could claim a find. It was Doctor Owl who spotted the cache and retrieved it for me to stamp the log.

On holidays in Adelaide from Melbourne, visiting relies for the weekend, today we checked out of our holiday accomodation and set off for Marion Bay for a few days. On the way we decided to find some caches, this being one of them. We wound our way slowly down the coast stopping off to find various caches. This one was amazingly spotted by the shorter member of our team lol This was the last for the day and we arrived at our accomodation in Marion Bay jus5 before sunset. TFTC hittin the road - GJMMelb
A few muggles at the lookout, but sent geopartner up to make the find while they weren't looking. Thanx
Well, what a weekend! The FFLL ladies and myself decided to head over to SA to tackle the newest installment of the Fishy Tales caches, the Gone Fishin' series. Having a long weekend presented to us, and a day extra, we had a big task at hand to get them all done, but we did! There were many tears of laughter, exhausted bodies each night, and plenty of caches found. We even managed to score ourselves a few Earthcaches, Virtuals and even Webcams along the way as well as me passing my 10,000 find
Time to make our way towards our accommodation in Port Vincent, collected a couple caches along the way.
Thanks for the cache hide hittin the road and a very special thanks to the FFLL ladies for an awesome fun filled adventure away Looking forward to the next adventure.

With a long weekend coming up we decided to make it an extra-long weekend and hatched a plan with Rapidlywild to attack YP in SA again. It has been 4 years since we were last here so a few new caches/trails have come out since then. On our list was the Gone Fishn' trail as well as the 60 trail, Magical Unicorn and PSA as well as collecting random ones as well along the way.
Getting the "blurry eye" out of Canberra Friday morning we arrived in SA around 7.30am and the geo-mission began.
After finishing finishing the PSA and Magical Unicorn series it was time to head to the accommodation for a well deserved rest. Found the container quickly.

Today we headed south and enjoyed visiting and exploring some of the small towns and seaside communities of the Yorke Peninsula, together with ilook4geo. The sea breeze was nuch appreciated on yet another hot day. We found a selection of caches to represent the different areas and each one had both names noted on the log.
This was a nice easy find. Thanks go to hittin the road for placing a cache here.

Spent the day cruising and caching around the Yorke Peninsula with goingplaces2. We had a good day, found plenty of caches to add some smileys to our map. Logs signed and we moved on. TFTC.
After completing a bit more of the geo-art we are heading back towards our accommodation. As we won't be back this way for a while we are wandering about as we head back picking up a cache here and there to take in the views as well.
Eventually found this one in it's hiding place. tftc

As this is a generic log comments relevant to this cache will be placed at the end. On a caching trip with Dty73 & Tankengine to Yorke Peninsula. Team signed as DTY. Thank you all the cache owners who have put so much effort in placing and maintaining these caches. Heading back home and doing a few caches on the way. It was a really good day for caching today and the clarity of the air enabled one to see the horizon clearly. The views from here were well worth the stop. Kutgw
We have a small team travelling to The Yorke Peninsula from Canberra. It was decided by the group before we left that our team name would be DTY, although I act like the boss, I rarely am and so the initials actually stand for - dty73, Tankengine & Youban.
Today was the last day of our caching holiday and so we headed from the Yorke Peninsula this morning back to Mildura for the night, before heading to Canberra the next day.
This cache was in the last corner we looked at of course. It wasn’t a bad view this morning over the water and the sun reflecting across it. The bits and pieces of information around this look out was rather interesting too. Tftc hittin the road!!!

Found with dty73 and youban on the way home from the Yorke Peninsula. Log signed as DTY (dty73 Tankengine youban). Thanks HTR.
Once more we set off to explore the Yorke Peninsula and grab as many caches as we can on our way. The weather gods have let us down a bit today, lots of short sharp showers interspersed with times where the sun is fighting its way thru the clouds. We have come to love this area in the weeks we have been here, and shake our heads at the times we have just driven straight past on our way to somewhere else. What a waste!
Great view, but a bit too windy and cool to enjoy it today.
No problems finding this one

The Rats, steeba and Hoojar have teamed up for a York Peninsula adventure of massive proportion. With much planning and logistical coordinating, we had a great five days meandering the country roads collecting a plethora of caches. Our journey started with a handful letterbox caches before heading down the peninsula following the “Gone Fishn” series. We followed this up with an array of geo-art images that litter the lower peninsula. Returning to Adelaide we collected a gaggle of old and rare finds which included some interesting earthcaches and virtuals.
My apologises for the generic log, but thanks to all the cache owners and caching buddies who made the road-trip such a memorable and fun experience.

After a review of the geocaching map in South Australia it was determined a trip to the Yorke Peninsula would yield some significant numbers. So, The Rats, Hoojar and I teamed up once agan to tackle the many caches on the peninsula.
We started in the darkness after flying into Adelaide and the next day set some personal records (550+ caches in a day) and milestones before bunking down. The next day was another massive numbers haul which resulted in a bit over 1,000 caches in two days !
Then it was a little more sedate down to the bottom of the peninsula and then back up the easterly side, ticking off a few EarthCaches in the process .
After that, back to Adelaide for some night caching, virtuals and more EarthCaches!
The power trails on the peninsula were great- quiet roads, some great green wheat and yellow canola scenery, coupled with some great company and usual ribbing of each other [^]!
Thanks for your cache- sorry about the generic log. For the EarthCaches and virtuals look out for an email or two shortly.

This was a trip that had been some time in the making. A journey from Wollongong in New South Wales to the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, in search of large numbers. Five days were set aside, and The Rats, Steeba, and myself planned the details out. Lofty numbers were floated; we could find one thousand geocahces... Maybe more! The world was our oyster, all we had to do was make it happen.
We flew into Adelaide and quickly rented our car, then headed off for a series of thirty letterbox caches late that night. We then set up camp, ready for the next few days.
Two days journeying down the Yorke Peninsular saw us collect 550 caches the first day, and 450 the next. One thousand caches in two days! The numbers were phenomenal, unheard of, and excellent! At one stage we found fifty caches in a one hour period! We worked ourselves into a solid routine, and managed to push these numbers without caching after dark. Incredible! We camped out beside the trail, ready to commence again the following morning.
Having reached our goal of one thousand, we rented a cabin and enjoyed a solid relax and beet, and we were then able to dedicate the remaining time to specific caches, mostly Earthcaches to keep Steeba (The Professor) happy, and a good number of Vrtuals as well, as we made our way back from the end of the Yorke Peninsular to Adelaide. It really became a Tour De Earthcache! If your geocache is such a hide, stand-by, as Steeba will soon contact you with our answers.
As is always the case with these trips, the company was the highlight, with banter non stop, the time went by in an instant.
We saw some amazing things, found some excellent caches, and had an absolute blast.
Ticking just over 1300 finds for the trip, you will have to excuse the boilerplate logs!
Thanks to all of the cache hiders for their efforts in placing and maintaining their hides. It was fantastic exploring this part of the world that I had never visited before. Thanks also to my geocaching partners, without whom such a trip would not be possible, nor fun!
Cheers

We have commenced Part 2 of our holiday. Part 1 was Easter at Morisset and we came home to sort out some family business. Now we are heading to South Australia instead.
We have spent the last 2 nights at Lake Bonney and today we are heading to Edithburgh for some snorkeling and fishing. A good spot to stretch and enjoy the views.

Geocaching has taken me on many adventures over the years all over Australia and overseas. It has also introduced me to a brilliant and diverse group of people, many of whom are now close friends.
Today I was lucky enough to be out and about with some of those friends and we targeted this cache.
Sorry for the late log, but thanks for adding to the adventure!

After waking up to attend a 2:30am flash mob, Gary and I meandered around the YP with our focus on visiting many of the new earth caches in the area whilst others played the games associated with the JLWE. After an enjoyable day we enjoyed dinner at home and an early night....which may have included a few alcoholic tim tam slams!
Some of the cache hides today were easy, others were more challenging, but overall we enjoyed yet another wonderful day with fantastic weather.

Out for a drive with brisal5 on our way to Edithburg for the June Long weekend. We didn't take the direct route but the scenery was much better the way we went. I am venturing into new territory. I will need to come back and really explore.

Before attending the Red Centre Experience event in Alice Springs we're spending 5 days in SA mainly around the Yorke Peninsular. Appreciated the variety of containers and places they were hidden - it certainly brought us to places we certainly wouldn't have stopped at. many thanks to all the COs for your time and effort in the placement of your caches.
After two days of geoart we are having a sightseeing and caching run around the middle section of Yorke Peninsular.

Pining for caches,
I was wandering around the point on foot this morning
As with every other holiday towne on the Yorke at the moment,
it is dead quiet [:o]
All the shacks,
caravan parks,
rental accomodation,
and holiday homes are empty
So I enjoyed the quiet stroll along the back street of Point Pine.
Which wasn't such a good idea
I should have been strolling at a higher elevation !! [:o]
So from below GZ I went a scrambling (again) up the steep hill
Once up the top,
the cache was an easy find,
and the history was there to be read

Travelling from Tailem Bend to Port Vincent, the trip was punctuated by the "Ping" of the GPS'r an obvious signal to stop and stretch our legs. We discovered a variety of hides, learnt a little more about Yorke Peninsula history and close to our destination were made aware of the opposition to mining development. Images added.
**FEEDBACK TO CO:** This one was actually on the ground, after signing the log we returned it to what seemed the most logical spot. Perhaps a visit by the CO to make the container more secure would be welcomed by future seekers.
Our thanks to hittin the road for placing this cache.
