Not sure why we haven't disabled this one earlier. Will check it out next time we are up this way.
Enjoyed the scenic walk around the track but couldn't find the cache. We had a quick look at the other cache site too, but there was a group of tourists who interrupted us so we didn't stop for long there.
Thanks for bringing us here, hopefully we'll have an excuse to come back soon & sign the caches.

Had a bit of a search around in the area I thought seemed the most likely, but no luck.
We did not find the cache, but did find the label. We spent well over an hour digging and searching to see if someone moved it. Could not locate anything more.
Slink1 and co came over from Australia to do some sightseeing and to cache. A trip to the burbs was in order. Slink1 reckons he'll be back for more. Thanks for the cache made our mark..
A short holiday with my wife to this wonderful land NZ over from Australia to do some sightseeing and to catch with my mate Dunko who has been moved over here for work. We plan to do the crossing many times, enjoyed doing the cache. Thanks for the cache, made our mark..
Enjoyed reading the info on the sign about the water pathways. Great track and a lovely day to be out and about. TFTC
Had a picnic lunch near GZ and decided to search the general area rather than rely on the coordinates (having read the recent logs). Found cache in no time at all! TFTC!
I had a bit of a job finding this one! However, found it after much searching. Thanks.
Crossed the bridge and saw this couple sitting at GZ, so I stopped and took a few photo's of the river. Great views. Their actions gave me thought that they could be fellow cachers which was born out when we each stopped to exchange greetings. Nice to meet you team Taiko33. Finding the cache was easy as I had an approximate area after observing Taiko33 returning the cache (coord's seem to be a bit out). Gave the log a zip lock bag to help protect it from moisture with winter coming on. TFTC

Nr 800. Found this cache on our short walk today, not so easy to find.. Interesting bridge wirh great views of the Hutt River. In : TB. TFTC. Sherlock Hood.
Checked on this one today and found it to be approx 10m from where we originally placed it! Will leave it here though & change co-ords soon.
Beautiful walk, but didn't find. Far too many muggles, so will try again next time.
This time the weather was a bit nicer. Last time it was raining to much to have look. Took a while before we found the cache, but did in the end. TFTC
Took a while to locate, but found it in the end.
Loved the log entry from the local ranger.

Had us puzzled for a while but Mellobee found it by just looking long and hard.
nearly gave up. but soldiered on. and it was a bit further along from the bridge.
Nice spot - windy as heck.....blew all my printouts away..lol still found it though - we rock. TFTC
I see it's been found today. I don't think I I had my caching hat on today. The clues and logs seem to lead us to an area of gorse and cutty grass. In shorts and sandals we didn't fancy too much bush bashing.
{Edit} Chillifarmers log for Rivendell was the 11th and this one today, I wonder which one is correct?

[Found container in the open, there were a couple of entries in the logbook from muggles, one said "this looks like fun"
Hid the container and got out of there. ]

#217 - A quick find on a nice walk, we happened to be here again planning a multi, so we grabbed this one. Nice views of the river... Cache was completely uncovered, so we rehid it with rocks. SL TFTC.
Neat loop walk in a area rich with information and wildlife, also great for the dogs

nice walk today in the rain. King had to stay in the car due to the signs...not sure if they true or not but not worth the chance.
Nice and easy walk and a lovely spot. We could have even managed with a pushchair. Took Dino left kiwi lady bird. TFTC

Camping at Kaitoke with friends, introducing them to geocaching. With Theelectricwiz. Had found GZ and had searched round a bit, seen some good hiding places but missed it. Then came the stream of muggles for a good 10-15 minutes. What is so interesting about a great view up and down the gorge? When they were all finally clearing a couple walked past and sat down. I noticed a camera in the hand of one and theelectricwiz noticed the GPS. It was j&by, so 2nd geocacher experience for the day.
So once the muggle finally cleared j&by proved the known fact a second look always finds the cache.
Had a nice walk round the Swingbridge track. There are some Big Rata and Rimu on that track.

Found with nzfatmatt. Didn't realise this was so popular - meet 2 other groups looking for the same caches in one day. Busy day. TFTC
Today Kaitoke was heavey with muggles. While we waited for them to clear the area, we realised there were other cahers also waiting. Did the search with NZFatMatt and Theelectricwizz. These are the first cachers we have come across while out, and it is nice having someone to talk to about caching who understood what we were so excited about. There was only one swap, so we took nothing, and left a mini telescope.
Arrived at this cache to find first time geocachers, gakenny, looking for something. They thought we were muggles and we thought they were!. A quick find. Cache was empty so left a pink windup dog. What a great reserve but very busy on Christmas Day. TFTC
First ever cache. I thought we were muggled but they were other cachers. Left nothing, took nothing. TFTC
A very quick and easy find this morning. Not a soul about, just me, the birds and the bush.
TFTC.

Found after a lovely walk through the forest - lots of tourists. Cache was empty of any trade items, so left GC. Extremely windy crossing last bridge, nearly blown off!! SL TFTC
Enjoyed the walk with the junior cachers especially enjoying playing in the 'cave tree' - a shame we forgot to bring our camera! TFTC
Replaced wet cache/log with new one. All up and running. no changes to co-ords or clue. Enjoy.
Really loved the walk here & back. Trailed by someone on a quad bike marking out the park's assets by GPS. Log is very wet, will need maintenance.
My first Geocache!!
The box had 1cm of water in the bottom and everything was wet so someone needs to put a new logbook in there.

Contents, including log book very wet. Had a good go at signing the log. Took bear, left pencil sharpener. TFTC
Lovely area. Been here quite a few times before, but before we were geocachers. Took a bit of searching but loved the camo. TFTC
Muggle highway! Had a good search around but didn't find anything. Opted not to risk life on the cliff face. This walk is easily the most scenic short walk I have done around Welly. Beautiful river, majestic Rimus 100's of years old, massive Ratas. Pity I couldn't find the cache.
Decided to hit this one while the muggles were hanging around "lost treasure or rivendell" Had a play on the swing bridge on the way round the loop track, round the loop and to Plume bridge, have floated under this one on a tyre inner tube, and it reads on the bottom "bridge of no return" Anyhoo another fantastic find. Dropped off TB TFTC
out and about with morriskiwi today ,decided to hit this one first as there was muggles hanging around at lost treasure of rivendell cache,TFTC
Spent 10 mins looking but couldn't find it. Climed up and down the bank but it is a little scary - not sure if I was in the right place but it all seemed to fit. Would have kept hunting but were with other non cachers so had to move on.
WOW our very 1st Cache. And what a neat one to start with. A lovely walk & a good find. We are hooked. Thanks.
This was our very 1st Cache & wow loved the walk & were so excited we had an easy find. Thanks to Phil for all.
Coincidentally turned on the GPSr just after a bridge to be surprised by a cache near where we were standing - cheers! Took nothing, left nothing.
Quickly found by Mrs Perso who has an eye for these things. Swag was a bit thin so we refreshed it with some more kid-friendly bits and pieces. TFTC.
Nicely hidden. I have done this walk a couple of times before, but I still find it enjoyable. TNLN. TFTC.
GPS location was so spot on we found it reading the wrong description! Hmmm, some plants are very common in this area.
Easy find - but not noticeable if not looking.
A nice walk on a nice day as well

Another great walk with Oma. The Little phantoms were quick to find this one. Beautifull walk. Found the Geocoin. Will drop it at another spot to catch the birds
I used to come here with my family growing up in Upper Hutt. The bush is stunning. We found the cache by looking in the obvious places. TFTH, TNLN
Took the walk from the Lost Treasure along the road to this cache and then did the circular path back to the car park.. Stunning trail and nice hide.. Thanks for bringing us here and allowing Richkai to share their plant knowledge with us.
Made a quick find with crystalfairy after looking for lost treasure in rivendall. Walked back though the forest giants and wondered at the beauty of New Zealands native rainforest. Great location for a cache and thanks for bringing us out here.
