I'm "performing maintenance" on this archived cache only to remove it from my "needs maintenance" filter. Don't chase after this one! It's not back in action.
I suppose this one will now be able to welcome the third incarnation of a cache here.
Thanks to all the finders of yesteryear.
Happy caching!

Had a loof for this one about 1130. Just as a family headed back down the mountain (I think they were another set of cachers that were also unsuccessful).
Pulled out all the rocks etc from the subject tree and also expanded the search about 10m from teh GZ and came up empty.
Pulled out all the rocks etc from the subject tree and also expanded the search about 10m from teh GZ and came up empty.
We looked in "that tree" under "those rocks", but couldn't find any cache. We did find a small piece of plastic that was likely part of a cache container. A good view from up here, so not all was lost, and we saw a colourful red robin on the way.
We pulled all the rocks out of the tree, but didn't find a cache. Then we extended the search and still couldn't find the cache. If the cache should be there the CO needs to check.
995: Lots of muggles here today. Cache is in plain view. Grabbed, signed and covered. Off again. This is where I logged my very first cache. Was hoping this was going to be my 1000. Alas, 5 too soon. TFTC Fore!
I opted for the direct approach while Mrs.R waited below. Naturally when I reached the top I discovered the easier track which others had used. However the view is great - as promised. TFTC.
Working towards my 150th cache this weekend did a quick solo run around Canberra.
I think i ended up approaching this cache from the wrong side as i had to navigate a fence and was quite a trek up the hill, although i had additional shade which was nice towards the end of a long days caching. Once at the top i enjoyed the view while making my mark in the log.
Thanks for bringing me up here was a great view.

having been at the arboretum yesterday with its great views of the lake and national circle
I was pleasantly surprised with the view from this cache.

I had a day to fill in while I was at a Careflight Trauma course so what better way than to walk around some of the hills in Canberra. Making an early start and with beautiful weather I was very happy with my days achievements. This was one of a few caches I found wandering around the hills.
Great views from up here. I'm surprised not more muggles have found this cache.
Thanks

Found on a rainy summers day. Another very good Fore! cache found today. A short walk from the main path, up the hill to GZ. We were a bit tired, but it was only a small climb, not a big deal. Once at GZ, we admired the views for a bit - very lovely place. Then it was a nice quick find. We see this stump everytime we come by here, now we can see that we've been up there. Great place. TNLNSL. TFTC Fore!!
What a great spot. I attempted to get here on my MTB but gave that way as bad joke, so I put it in a "hide" and walked the rest of the way. I must get up here at night time, I think it would be a magnificent view. Found this location a great place to reflect, and as such made a not of this in the log - great cache, thanks.
I'm renewing my commitment to maintaining these caches. I'll put a plan of attack together and get through them in the next 4 weeks. (I hope) Watch this space....!
We walked up here once before we knew there was a cache here, so it was nice to pop back up! Snow in the Brindies in the distance but nice and warm on the hill
Found with old mate Regor1. Beautiful day slight westerly wind. Snow on Brindies and to the north of them.
A good site for seeing the spread of Canberra, from the north. Daibokux.

2013-08-18 0215 Found with HRN53. Wow! The wind was intense! Took shelter at GZ to sign the log. A short time afterwards, head down the east side of the hill, we were protected from the wind and could enjoy our meander once more. Left TB. Tks Fore!
Found this by mistake. Kids loved the idea and we signed up when we got home!
With a beautiful day to geocache. I have not done some in a while so thought today would be perfect while geowife is at work. I took my bike to do some exrteme mountain biking. Damn, what a trek! Should have worn shorts but was wearing jeans and took the steepest quickest route up with the bike. At least, in the end worth the trek! Signed log, took photos and left two TB's! TFTC!
Found with Torrevieja on a beautiful night. Who would have thought there would be such views from here! Lovely. TFTC!
Great spot and well named. The cache container needs replacing. It looks like someone was a little enthusiastic putting the stones back.

#380 - 19:15; Wasn't intending to climb any hills today, but what the heck, the sun was still up (just), so there was time for one more . Tracking from the north having just logged Dwarf Clan Firebeards (GC2H3FV) the climb didn't look too bad, and the GPSr suggested I didn't need to crest the hill, so after trekking upwards for a while, skirted the summit of the first hill and on to GZ. A terrific view was to be had with the sun setting over the Brindabellas and the lights visible from the City to Gungahlin. TFTC Fore! [^]
A bit of a workout getting up the hill-but I like it! Last hill for the day to save the best to last! [^] Fantastic views of Canberra from up here! Although I felt like I was going to get blown off the top of the peak with the wind today! SL, took army man and left a seal . Thanks for bringing me to this great place and for the cache, Fore!
Great hill. Puff puff, pant pant. Lovely views over the ever sprawling Canberra. TFTC.
ohhhhh the hike! We were taking in the scenery on a nearby mountain top and thought 'yep, there has got to be one up there' and shortly after we were claiming the find.
Great spot, did run into some muggles but they drifted off soon enough. Dropped off a keyring and took TB.

oh no, not another hill climb for this unfit cacher.....
Still that all part of caching I suppose, more caching ...less working
Great view, I've recently move from Adelaide... Canberra is a strange place..but I really like the whole "Bush Capitol thing".
I'm also heading off overseas so I took the Excalibur Sardi TB and hope to drop it of in Corsica, Sardinia or Malta.

Well after grabbing some caches around this area we decided to grab one more prior to heading back to the car. It was getting very cold and the winds felt like they were coming straight off the snow. Low and behold, when we got up the GZ we could see Snow on the range. Yesterdays dumping must have been quite large.
GeoSon made the find quite easily and did some swaps. We also dropped off two GeoCoins and one TB to continue their journey.
TFTC and the beautiful views.

Nice hike and rewarding view at this cache. Had a chat to a mob of roos on the way down who all has beaut wooly winter coats for thid icy weather. TFTC.
Fantastic cache - warm winter day, no wind and views Fore-ever indeed. The Geokids loved the 'window' in the old tree. TFTC
Rambled up from the north east side of this excellent hill wondering if we were going the right way, to find that coming up from the south west side would have been considerably more challenging. We were surprised to see the cache out in the open but all in good condition. Echo the geo-pup suggested that it was the roos that dun it! Her nose knows, so that must have been it.
Replaced the cache to a more Fore! appropriate spot and possibly where it was intended. Took a photo at the trig wondering whether there was a GCA Trig here, but we've since realised there isn't. Here's the photo anyway!
Thanks Fore!

With the weather being not too hot and not too cold, we decided that today was the day to test out our fitness and our muscle strength and tackle a few of the caches in this Goorrararayyyrarooo...... area! This was our sixth and final cache for the afternoon here. Fortunately there was a convenient hole in the fence for us to find a more direct route to this cache. Boy oh boy this was quite a hill - gave our muscles quite a work out. There were quite a number of kangaroos who didn't seem to be in any rush to move away from their patch of grass as we approached. One even gave us a bit of a fright when he started bounding towards us - but he stopped and changed paths before we had to try and take him on! Finally we made it to the top and to the cache - Marco was thrilled to do this cache as he drives past here going to and from work each day.It certainly is a stunning view from here and well worth the effort! TNLNSL TFTC
We drive past here everyday on our way to work and have often wondered and yep there is....This was quite the adventure and our last for the afternoon. Our legs were tired after climbing the other hills around this area and we must have looked a sight fending off the spiders webs between the trees by waving the trusty stick. Gotta love the bush.....well we are getting used to it! Once we got there it was well worth it. The sun was just beginning to get low in the sky and the colours were magnificent.
Thanks for making us climb up here Fore!

Quick grab during an afternoon caching in Canberra and hike in Goorooyarroo. Great view. Signed log: TNGD. TFTC!
Had a lovely walk and picnic in this park today - perfect walking weather and the views from this cache are marvellous! TFTC
found it with Boot65 nice walk up the top would have been a great view if it wasn't clowdy and raining.
A nice stroll in the rain. Found with STEV87. I am becoming very fond of the "Fore" caches. You just never know what is coming next. Thank you for the enjoyment. Two weeks ago before I found out about geocaching, you wouldnt have got me up there for anything. (10)
Amazing view... I could see GZ from one of the dwarf clan caches. Note that the cache container is cracked but the contents are fine. TN, left a lego magnet. TFTC!
Thought I'd make a detour on my return from the lair of clan longbeard - glad I did as I was rewarded with beautiful view in the fading light. tftc
Found at 10.10am GAFF5 in the company of Blackie_71, Browngang, Chewinprickles, and Robmc.
Yep - that is one tough little climb[xx(]. The views went all the way to the horizon, but we didn't find that engraving.
Thanks Fore!

The Climb up to GZ was a bit steep but it wasn't that long and at least it wasn't hot, in fact it was pretty cold at the top. By the time I reached GZ I was puffing pretty hard, time to get the mountain bike back out I think. The view at GZ was certainly spectacular and made the climb more than worthwhile. Thanks Fore!
Views not quite forever but OK just the same. Cool wind though, bordering on cold perhaps.
Had morning tea after we descended the mount. Very nice
Thanks Fore

It is certainly a great view from up here (although quite different to Allrounder's photo of a few years ago!). Love the sounds up here, the wind whistling across the top, the long grasses blowing, the cachers panting from the climb....
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
Great spot thanks. The Geotoddlers made it all the way up, bit it at a snails pace.
It is not always the highest point that gives the best views, it is often the best placed. Well worth the Rogaine-like descent and climb from the last cache, thanks Fore!
Awesome view. Thanks

Found with Justjessie, thought we would distribute some trackables that we picked up in Queensland last month. This was the last cache for the day.
Ms Bushies2 stayed at the caravan to do the washings...me went to do cachings for the morning....went downhill from Dwarf Clan Longbeards cache till to the bottom of the valley....OH NO not another hill to go up but still do the last cache on this area....went uphill to the GZ and found it easy....Thanks Fore! for bringing me to this great view of Canberra
The first on our big Goorooyaroo adventure! What a fantastic view. The climb to this spot would prove to be the easiest of the day - phew! Took a mighty bean and left a marble. Cache is in good condition TFTC Fore!
Zipped up the hill and to another classic North Canberra view. Nice, TFTC!
Dropped off a geocoin...

An obvious hide, but obviously the hide isn't the point of this cache. After all what a view.
I can honestly say that I have never wondered how to get up here, although I have never driven past it before.

The cache has a rather large crack in the side. Tried to position it so it would be as waterproof as possible.
We had previously been out to this area but had found it closed. Decided on a coolish grey Saturday afternoon to try again.
What a great view from up here.

Last on for the area and now I won't have to wonder how to get up here when I drive past.
