Looked for a good 15 minutes before gave up from having no other ideas and the mozzies. Found a couple of possible spots but to no avail.

Found the correct place that the cache was meant to be at, so with CO’s permission can log a find. TFTC as it would have been a great hiding spot if it were there.
Had no I Leda in the slightest searched everything. Chairs tables logs. Navigation was in the middle of a path so unfortunately the first one we couldn't find
Staying on RI for a week, in which we will hopefully get a good bunch of caches both here and on the mainland. I brought my bike and jumped on it for the first time in about five years! Lucky it’s flat on the island! Thanks for the hide.
Travelling around Gippsland for a week of golf and caching. Today brought me to Raymond Island, Paynesville and Eaglepoint.
Loved the history here. thanks for showing me this great area.

A pleasant bike caching outing this morning.
After briefly barking up the wrong tree, I widened the search, and soon located the cache.
I do still remember the days Cat sang about.

A cycling muggle was far more interested in his phone call with a mate than he was in me making a quick find

Driving around island on a cool day to find the geocaches. Interesting little stop... we wonder what the fenced area is. Quick easy find.
So took the wife on a short break over Christmas and New Year, along with that came the mandatory lets find some caches each day.
Started just before Christmas down in Metung in Gippsland and explored the area as well as visiting the koalas on Raymond Island and the beaches of lakes entrance.
After that we spent a few days in Kilcunda and walked the George Bass trail as well as a visit to Philip Island.
A pretty great trip to relax over Christmas and New Year.
Ended up finding 50 caches and 3 new travel bugs as well as placing one... unfortunately I also had 8 did not finds which I think is a record for me.
The caches took me to some wonderful places as I got to see Koala's, Seals, Dolphins and heaps of spiders and creepy crawlies..
sorry for the generic log.
Thanks for the cache and the hide

With the recent easing of lockdown restrictions we have taken the opportunity to get away again for a few days. Last time it was Lakes Entrance, and this time we have come to Paynesville, arriving yesterday. With good weather, albeit windy we decided to head over to Raymond Island and give the bikes a work out on the tracks and roads there.
It’s free for passengers and bikes on the ferry so what a bonus!
We headed right after leaving the ferry and from there worked our way round the island zig zagging back and forth to pick up caches along the way. On the way we encountered a range of roads but particularly enjoyed the more track-like sections with its patches of soft sand.
We didn’t see a lot of wildlife, but the mossies were abundant every time we stopped unless there was wind blowing. This meant we needed to be in constant motion to keep them at bay,
No obvious signs of the old school here but there was a nice picnic area.
Found the cache within a metre of where we parked the bikes.TFTC

Second time round found it

Came down to Raymond Island to look for Koalas today (for the kids) and caching for myself. This was the first one I found on the Island but of course one of the kids made the find. TFTC
Spending the day with Geobf and puppers and thought we would finish the geocaches on Raymond Island. Nice and easy find, Tftc.
Mooring in Paynesville during a sailing trip with Palomas2015 and Sailpogo. Not very lucky with the weather today therefore we decided to do some geocaching on Raymond Island. Seen lots of wildlife here wauw!
TFTC and cheers from Belgium!

Spent a lovely couple of hours on Raymond Island with a muggle friend who let me indulge in my love of geocaching. Five finds and one DNF.
Our apologies for the delay in posting our log. Things have got a little out of hand recently & the backlog has become rather more of a "log jam".
Our thanks to She Me & the Dog for placing this cache for us to find (or occasionally not) on 02/08/2018. Further details (for earthcaches & the like) will be supplied to the CO once the jam has cleared.

TTFC. Co-ordinates are about 15 minutes off, but fun to find! Beautiful quiet area. Still in the hunt for Koalas!
Made the trip over to Raymond Island, with the idea of getting a few of the caches there. The longer we were there the more the rain threatened, until it eventually broke into misty showers, making a dismal day.
Thanks to the CO of this series, we enjoyed our visit here and finding your cache/s.

Found it. I also didn’t know the school was way back here.
I knew there was a school but not here!
Loved getting a pic with an Aussie flag on Aust day.
Swapped out a toy.

Out for a very welcome impromptu visit to Raymond Island with BigrobV today. I was so excited as we have been wanting to get here for ages! We decided to bring our bikes along to try and complete the island. I loved the monument at this location, I would have had no idea there was a school here. I’d love to know what the little fenced off coral area is or was.. Thanks for placing a cache here, I’m giving it a favourite point for the school location and the beautiful red flowering gums all around
A great day riding around Raymond Island with NoonaB, this has been a day we have been trying to do for quite some time. It was a great day out with alot of wildlife to greet us, this was a fun little cache, and an interesting site of an old school. Thanks for the hide
First visit to Raymond Island- we had a lovely day exploring and koala spotting with our two children. Great cache and we've left s couple of swaps too.
Island tour number six with Ayzeds. This was another one I've found a while ago and come back to to log for myself. Was led slightly astray by my navigation but got there in the end (thanks mum)
Out in the area for the 2 months to Alex event in Bairnesdale, grouped up with Blazer Triaz, Kryslazz and Shai.marelle, on the hunt for some caches over here at this beautiful island! A quick find, we had the log signed and placed back where it was.

** Ready to Walk? **
The Raymond Island Ferry will be out of service for three weeks in October
as it undergoes its major two-yearly routine maintenance.
The ferry will be out of service from October 9 to 30 of 2017
A pedestrian water taxi will pick up and drop off passengers
between the jetty near the Raymond Island ferry terminal, Slip Road boat ramp, and Paynesville CBD.
So walking to this cache is the only option (without knowing a local or some planning ahead of time)

We headed over here to find koalas and also found a cache where we met a few other cachers.
It's another day in what will be an almost three month journey for me and micaparamedic with new things to see along the way. Today we had breakfast in Lakes Entrance with friends and then headed to an event. After the event we headed over to Raymond Island and found koalas. That was an event all on its own. We also saw a Burrunan Dolphin on the return ferry trip. It was one more very good day.
We started our travels when micaparamedic arrived at my place in late July, visiting the Yukon and Northwest Territories in Canada, attending the Mega APE event in Washington, and camping in Oregon to be in the direct path of a total solar eclipse. There were other shorter trips to find special caches and see geologically related spots of interest before we headed to Australia.
Now he is showing me his country, and it's incredible. My bucket list had included walking around Uluru, and now I can cross that off. I also wanted to see some Australian outback, and now that is also crossed off. There are a few more things planned on this journey that will be crossed off as well, one of them this evening. Dreams are coming true on what will be just under 3 months of traveling together.
Thanks for a cache on an island.

What a stayer! Nine years on the geo-game board and still going strong. Satellites today had our GZ 7m N of where we found the cache.

Found with Geoturtle37 and Empire on a foray to Raymond Island after attending an event in Bairnsdale. This one was a quick and easy find and we were soon on our way again after a chat with Micaparamedic and his friend Joy from the USA who we bumped into here. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Found this cache as part of a relaxing ride around the island. Thank you for cache.
Spent a day exploring RI with Tassie expat. Thanks for placing these caches, it gave us a good reason to really have a look around and find out more about the history of this interesting place.
Frmen1 & I decided to explore Raymond Island on the only decent weather day for the weekend. Took the opportunity to also wet a line. Had more luck caching. This was a very quick find. Enjoying the variety of caches. An interesting piece of history. TFTC
We are on our first trip to Australia and started in Melbourne. Today we stopped at this beautiful island to see the koalas. The nice weather invited us to stay longer and search for some caches.

I spent waaay too long looking for gz which kept jumping around. I should've just used my geosense from the start. The geofam were preoccupied with the herd of wallabies across the road. I wonder what this little enclosure is for?? TFTC
