There was no triumphant call from me and therefore no smilie. Booo hooo. I think this one has been muggled. There was only one place it could have been, and it wasn't! That makes 2 DNF's out of 2 Southbank caches attempted. I think I'll go stick to the north-western side of the Yarra for the rest of my visit.
Now that there are neibouring muggles thinking this is drug drop it is time to relocate it. "Ice Cream Headache". Archived for now. ...... As an aside when I went to pickup the cache from the park there was a group of three workmen sitting at the table who said hi to me as I went in - on the way out (20sec later) with the cache in plain view they asked me what I found... I responded "just picking up my cache" - they might of thought I was a dealer dressed in my suit........
Ah Yes. Bill and Ted. The movie where Kianu peaked.
Grabbed this one on my morning walk. I didn't have a pen and neither did the cache. Fortunately there was a shop nearby so I bought a pencil and left it in the cache.

Oh dear. A nice playground, but the area around the cache is not exactly what I'd call family friendly. As I was looking for the cache I got sprung by a muggle who lives over the fence who suspected I was after a drug drop. I explained what was going on and he seemed to understand but warned me away from the area as there are lots of drug drops and busts that go in the secluded little park.
Took nothing, left nothing.
I have to say thanks to solomonfamily for a very nice sized cache, but maybe the area it's in needs a little more though. Not a criticism, just a thought after the comments from the muggle overthe fence.

Found by edmil, I had dropped maddie off to visit a girl friend just down the road. I figured I would grab this one and then return for her. I parked the car about 250 metres from GZ and figured I would walk back. However the birds weren't flying to well today I lost coverage within about 50 metres of the car and had no idea which way to go we I hit the intersection. I wandered until I got a good bit of clear sky and manged to keep a reasonable lock. I followed the compass and it took me just about to GZ on the wrong side of the fence, doh. Off I wandered again and eventually found the right spot. There were muggles in the area but they were more than preoccupied with chomping into food so I managed to retrieve and return the cache without being noticed (kept an I on them the whole time). No swaps were made but thanks for the cache.
Found @ 2.30pm with ease.
Local drug muggles have claimed this area for themselve.
So a quick find & replace was required.

This was certainly as easy find, but the park was a bit yucky - I think I'd feel quite intimidated coming down to this end of the park late at night by myself, but fortunately it was early and I was accompanied by two hulk-like other cachers, so I felt quite comfortable. TFTC.
Our second cache on our trip across town to Avalon. Thankfully we happened to arrive at a suitable time for this cache and A2YG put his mitts right on the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Was out grabbing a few caches with HawMorFords and The Garner Family who were down from Qld to attend dak's funeral, we found a spoon like the one in the picture but were sure it was used in conjunction with the sharps, the local police were in attendance at the near by medical center for some event happening out the front, caching sure does bring you to some interesting places. Thanks solomonfamily for the cache.

After walking around and around searching for the entrance, this was a quick find. My Trimble Navigator was pointing me in the wrong direction, but I spotted the obvious hiding place about 10m away.

B-Team find while out for a late evening stroll in the St Kilda area. The relevance of the cache name took a while to make sense, but once the connection was made, I was confident that I was on target. Fortunately, no peeping from the neighbors to interupt preceedings. TNLN Good Luck!
Found late in the afternoon on a long weekend stay nearby. Nice and easy for a quick find. TNLN TFTC,

A nice easy find. A muggle was playing with his dogs, but I managed to both log the cache and hold a conversation with him being none the wiser. Nice little park.

We found our 9th Solomon Family cache at 12:50pm as the 2nd of 9 on our "Yet Another Driving Practice Afternoon". There were four possible access locations from each of the roads before we found the park on our 4th guess. Who is watching? We may never know. Thanks for the cache from D & H B-A. Took the TB.
Had a day in Melbourne after a business trip so combined a sight seeing tour with a few caches. I was staying down in St Kilda so this was the second cache of the day before heading for the CBD. Left the Silver Streak Racer TB. TFTC.
Found @ 16:20. Found cache OK but the contents were completely gone. Added a piece of paper and logged my find. Got home to log it and found the Solomon Family had re-stocked it with new log book and goodies only an hour later. TFTC. TNLN.
Found cache, good hide, no contents, sorry your efforts have been sabotaged. Thanks anyway.
I agree. Great spot, potential sharps and junkies. Container is empty. No log to write in.
Found it by plugging the coordinates into google maps and with the help of the clue. (haven't bought a GPS yet). This was my first one - very fun - thanks. Took my Dad along - he was fascinated that this whole thing exists, as was I a couple of days ago, when I learned about it.
NOTE about the CACHE .... - it was nicely hidden but completely empty. No log etc.
Cheers,
Rosie

Despite it being a beautiful afternoon, there were no muggles at all so this was a nice quick find. Thanks Solomon family.
Started this one by walking bare foot in the playground, you should try it, it's quite trippy...
Got to the GZ & found a building site which made us disappointed as we thought that the cache might be built over, but after the GPS settled down we had the cache in hand no problems. The area was quite clean (after reading about the warning about sharps, we were a little worried).
TNLNSL TFTC, find #119 for Echo & Spice.

this one was a bit tricky - circled the area a few times before actually finding it...
I don't know why so many people seem to have trouble navigating here, my TomTom wanted to take me in a round about fashion so I turned it off!! Ah, common sense. The cache was found in the first place I looked and free from any 'sharps' fortunately. I returned to find no parking fine either!
Thanks,

This was the first cache of 20 today. It is very close to home, and I pass it on the way to work every day. But its not a good time to stop, so this cache has waited a month before I could check it out.
The park was empty and I found the cache immediately, logged my visit, and returned to my car within less than 5 minutes. But it was VERY BAD TIMING. I had parked on the wrong side of the street (in a permit zone) unbeknownst to me and arrived back at the car to find a parking officer placing the cache on my windscreen - $66.00 for 5 minutes parking. If only I'd seen the signs.
My thanks to solomonfamily for the cache.

There was no park shown on out usually reliable map, so we walked a couple of sides of the block before we found how to get in.
And it is not true that I snitched a ball from a dog half my size! although having the dog and muggle going in the opposite direction was a bonus.
Not sure if we were overlocked, but I think not.
Thanks, Robmc.

Like Facitman I have a new Hcx too although mine is a Legend and it didn't let me down among the tall buildings. The only difficulty was a muggle and dog but we managed to divert her by throwing the dogs ball in the appropriate direction. At least I think thats what happened. I know Robmc had the dogs ball in his hand at least once.
Thanks indeed.

I was visiting Johnny Appleseed to pick up a RAM cradle for the new Vista HCx so did a nearest cache search and found this cache met the requirements for a quick find before I was due at another appointment. Did a loop before I worked out how to drive to GZ, Tomtom was trying hard! GZ was fairly quiet and a quick find I had!

Having my GPSr in "off road" mode was not the best idea here, as I had trouble finding out how to get in the area. However, when I finally found my way in, it was an easy find. Thanks, TN L calling card.
I have been waiting for an opportunity to visit this tiny park and early today was a great time as no one was around in the adjacent building sites or flat blocks. Nice easy find. No swaps made. Thanks solomon family.
Found on a sunny Saturday morning. No one around at the time, but could be difficult when the development is finished. Thanks solomonfamily - interesting place. TNLNSL.
Found at 11:40 on the way to the beach, and my 3rd to last cache before returning to Adelaide. No onlookers, so it was a quick easy find. swapped a ball for a suction dart.
Thanks Solomon Family.

The "canyon" between the buildings combined with the arrangement of the satellites when I was visiting meant my GPSr accuracy was very low - at first I was looking in entirely the wrong spot.
Then I re-read the description, engaged "geosense", and found it in short order.
Left Czech GC, took nothing. TFTC!

Found at 10.00am while on an "FBT car parking" mission for work. The park was very quite and the cache quickly discovered. No singing though even though there was no one around as the birds in the area were doing a good enough job. Thanks Sol!
That's just a bizarre little park... another (albeit far safer) location where geocaching + junkies overlap... all that was missing this time was the fantastic views that I've found at several other caches where this factor was in common.

I'd decided to make a pre-work diversion to finish the new cache at Monash's Caulfield campus and it just seemed a logical extension to continue on down to my old neighbourhood to get this one too. I grew up in nearby Elwood and must have traveled the roads around this area countless times - but I've never been down this street, I'm sure. After some confusing navigating from my TomTom (don't know why I was using it, I wasn't likely to get lost around here!) I was able to pull up at the closest possible parking spot to the cache and, after a (very) short walk, make an easy find . It's a bit of a bold hide - I hope such a big container doesn't draw unwanted attention.
TNLN
Thanks solomonfamily
PS Don't kids have it easy these days - that low impact surface on their playground feels softer than my bed

Found 12:35, a park I would not otherwise have visited. One has to question the wisdom of hiding a cache in an area that requires a sharps warning though
TNLN, CSI=2, thanks to the solomonfamily.

The winner takes it all...but geocachers just sign the log, take something, leave something and leave the place quietly.
I'm a bit dubious about a small park in St Kilda with a bench seat tucked away from everything and a large sharps bin next to it...it's just missing a "Shoot Up Here" sign in my book.
I had a friend ring me up once and said "Hey, I'm living in St Kilda!" and I said "How much are they paying you" to which he replied "$100 a week!". He'd found a job as a live-in security presence for a block of bedsits to make sure the grounds stayed clean and the druggies didn't set up camp anywhere on the property. I used to visit and we'd sit and watch "The St Kilda Show" out his front window up and down Grey Street - interesting place!

Had a nearby coffee and cake and was surprised to find how close this one was when the GPS was turned on. Happen to have been to this area several times but never knew about this neat litle park (soon to be overseen!). Cache was a neat hide but a bit to high to be wheelchair accessable even if one had a 4WD wheelchair! thanks The Solomon family for highighting this little park.
It's funny, we sat down to write the cache sheet I wanted to included many "my my" lyrics too
Find # 2158 and 1st of the day at 11:03am. On the way to delivering our old dissability scooter to a friend. No muggled about which made it an easy find. TNLN, Signed Log, Thanx Solomonfamily....
First time first to find. What an unexpected little park. Best to go out of working hours at moment. Took TB, left shell fridge magnet. TFTC.
Found 200801141125 . iPod in hand (and on ears [:p]) I was singing along to the 1974 Eurovision hit hoping for a FTF as I approached GZ but as the lyrics go .."I feel like I win when I lose" so it was 3TF for me and as is usual, "the winner takes it all"
