Two mugglings is enough for me to archive this one. Thanks to everyone who found it over the past couple of years. I'll be hiding a new cache close to here soon (to be listed on "another listing site").

Many thanks to ssmc4 for reporting this one, and for collecting the contents. Being in such a great location, I will replace it. Stay tuned.
My #4 of 10 of a Satdy arvo caching run with the dog. After collecting the necessary clues we both enjoyed the walk to the GZ in the glorious autumn sunshine and the leaves in the vineyard were rather appealing. When we got to the GZ for the search however I managed to find remnants of the cache - and they had been run over by a lawnmower. I've found nano caches before but this was ridiculous!
I scratched my name on a fragment of the log book just to prove I'd been there and could rightfully claim a smiley and collected 3 of the remaining whole objects from the cache, which I will pass on to pwags.
It's a great cache theme and location and well worthy of being re-established. Many thanks to pwags for bringing me here.

We found the remnant of the old one, we think. There's shreded log book, pen and the bottom of the container. Didn't find the cache though. We're wondering if it's been destroyed again? We seem to be in the right track but couldn't find it.
Found by Julie and Eltan at 6:30pm. Had driven past the front of the house a while ago to get the new coordinates so went for a nice evening stroll this evening to GZ. Balmy weather, roosters crowing and wineries........Essendon, i think not....tuscanny indeed!.......aahhhh. TFTC.
After grabbing the answers and calculating GZ, I took the drive and walk approach. My GPS showed the cache to be right on the creek, so I didn't know which side to approach from.
Naturally I chose the wrong one, but found a narrow spot where I was able to easily cross. Once at GZ, the cache was quickly found. Strange that such a winery should still exist amongst all the houses. Indeed, at WPT1, you would never know that it was anything but a normal house. Thanks for showing me this urban anomaly and for the cache.

4th and final cache for today, found at 6.30pm.
I've lived in this area for a long time and I had absolutely no idea there was a winery nearby! And if I hadn't known about this cache, I probably wouldn't have paid attention to the article about the Open Weekend on the front page of the local paper...
After enjoying the sights and tastes of Rose Creek Estate yesterday afternoon, I took a quick look at the power pole and stored the info for another day. But after finishing the Valley Lake series I asked myself, "Which was closer: home or cache?" Cache won out and it was found with little difficulty.
Signed log, TNLN and TFTC!
(Thanks also, pwags, for indirectly providing us with a brilliant outing on Sunday!)

Cache is now back in place, with a shiny new logbook. And just in time for this weekend, when Rose Creek Estate is open on Saturday and Sunday (20th/21st of February) as part of the Open Gardens Scheme. Enjoy!
Temporarily disabled while I dry out and replace - should be back online soon. Many thanks to underadar for reporting it!
...Found what was left of it....It looks a bit like a mower got it (not sure how) - the contents were certainly scattered over a wide area....Found the log, but with the rain we have had recently it is sodden, and smells...Thanks for the run.
Back where it was, but not in good shape. Very, very wet - the log will rot soon. Couldn't dry it out much in the continuing drizzle, so just shut the lid on the contents...
#97 on our 'get 100 before Xmas day'.
TFTC. Easily drive past here and never know it existed. Thanks for pointing this out.

I really loved this one. I've lived within 10km of this place (in one place or another) for the majority of my life and I had no idea this existed. They have really cleaned up a lot of these urban creeks over the years and Steele Creek lots much better than it did 25 years ago - it used to be overgrown with introduced species - scotch and box thistles. Now its a lovely stroll along bicycle paths.
I can't wait for the one day in the month when the doors of the "Winery" are open. I'd love to serve a bottle of the local wine!!
Took souvenir spoon and placed a push-back toy car.

Yup got the numbers and stared down that hill in disbelief. I had just ridden from Solomons Ford and found 4 geocaches by now. Turned around and started riding for home but realised home could be got to from the other side of the creek. Nothing for it but to take the hill down. Almost fell off my bike the first few metres and opted for the less cool but much safer walk down pushing the faithful but scornful steel steed! Almost dropped it in Steele creek at the bottom! Do you talk to your bike? I spend so much time on mine it's like a rude friend. It never appreciates how hard I am working.... Anyway found the geocache easily enough and left a spoon from Dunsborough in WA there. Crossed the creek and rode out on the cycle path. Have to now figure out how to acquire some Rose Estate muscat wine....... sounds great.

Our last cache for the day and another great pwags cache. Pretty easily found and once again a nice paint job. After a little walk looking up at the vines I felt like a drop or three myself but all I had on me was some H2O. Off now to pickup my geoprince from daycare.
Thanks again pwags

Found it, arrived at the barrel only to find that we had forgotten all the info.
So we had to rely on the iphone.
After getting all the required info off we went.
Quite a chase to arrive at GZ.
Turned out to be an easy find that we really enjoyed.

Landed on GZ only to find it was a multi, I felt a bit silly not noticing the icon on the GPS. Grabbed the needed info and put the new co-ordinates into TomTom and Beeline. TomTom showed a nice place to park, We headed there and started a short walk, rock hopped over the creek, Walked a little more to find the nicely hidden cache. grab the Police geocoin. Hopping to get some pictures with it tonight. TFTC.

What do you do when you're car's getting serviced in Keilor. Throw the bike in, look up GSAK, and away you go. This was an interesting multi with a nice scramble down the slope to GZ. Thanks again pwags, nice story about some real hard workers. TNLNSL

Long ago find forgotten about. Brilliant winery - the one day a year is worthwhile - bands, drinks and good fun. Great find amongst the natural watery area.
Found today, was a hot day and tired me out, that hill got to me.

Found this one at 13:35 as the second of my "Christmas Shopping" trio today. A very pleasant walk from WP1 to GZ (yes, really) and a nice spot to sit down and fill in the log book .
TNLNSL. Thanks pwags.

Found by Mary & David at 1855. We'd collected the required numbers and admired the letter box earlier in the day. We headed for GZ but there was a young couple lying on the grass right beside GZ, and they weren't geocaching. We left to find other caches, and stopped off again on our way home. Much easier when the place is deserted. TNLN. Our thanks to pwags yet again.
Found at 6.15pm GAFF5 in the company of xambo4u. This is not just a little hobby farm - this is serious! Would have loved to go in and ask for a tasting - looks like the vines are very well tended to and the bird netting would have cost a fair bit, so this is very serious stuff! We took the longer easy way in (after p-pprass was over-ruled) and again enjoyed the walk along the creek. There are little gems around that as usual you would n't know about normally. Thanks pwags.
Now who would have thought that such an industry could be there. Excellent clues and enlightenment of its existence. We took the easier option to get to cache as it getting late in the day. Final location just amazed geo friends and I with the produce planting. Thanks for the cache

Well, what a hidden treasure this proved to be and a very well put together little multi.
The info was soon gathered and an a reasonable access route was soon discovered for a very pleasant walk past the vineyard.
Took one of the two TBs
Left nothing
Our thanks to pwags for, I think, your first cache for us.

Third and final for the evening, testing out my new GPSr (it navigated me here with directions, and got me 3 from 3 finds, so I'm happy with it!). It was almost dark by the time I got to WP1 and darker still as I approached GZ (and so I couldn't entirely see the extent of the vineyards on the hill), but the cache did not take too long to find despite the gloom (although I confess that I used the hint to make things a bit easier for myself). I dropped off the Inside Lap TB since I've had it for a bit longer than I intended, and there was (just) room for it in the cache. Thanks pwags -- this was the last of a set of three of yours that I'd been hanging on to for some need (a cache fix was the original plan, but instead they worked well for a GPSr test); now I think I have only one to go.
A nice puzzle to solve. Would have never suspected a vineyard was there. Had to walk a little bit past GZ to find a good place to cross over.

On the way to the power pole, I walked past a van with a couple of cases of wine in it, and one owner messing around in the back, so I decided to just walk past the pole and memorise the digits. Fortunately I was able to read them clearly enough despite a small tree moving around in front of them in the breeze.
The cache itself was found quickly enough once I started looking, but was pretty well hidden, really.
A very interesting cache as from the front of the property you would never guess at what was behind.
TN but dropped off the Austrian Geocow Geocoin.

Great reseach on this one and I enjoy finding these suburban treats. After gathering the info I drove to a convenient parking place and was able to walk to the cache without having to cross the creek. The morning sun was wonderful, no breeze, plenty of blossoms, is there a better way to cache?
Thanks,

Didn't have any trouble getting the real co-ordinates - and finding the cache once we had traversed the goat-track. We took the 'shortcut' from Craig St. (don't try this way in wet weather) and enjoyed the the great views. Yes, it was a steep climb back but worth the effort. Took: 10,000$ Indonesian Banknote. Left: Koala Keyring (sorry didn't have any 'wine type' swaps with us). TFTC.
Fourth of eight cache finds for the day, I found this one at 10:40. I was soon checking out the mail box and gathering the numbers, if there was an easy way there I did not find it and seemed like a beg drive around the block to arrive at the little park, only 100m or so to go, once i was over the creek the cache was soon in hand, I bet the vines look great in fruit. Thanks pwags for the cache.
Did this one in stages.
I go to play squash at PEGS, just up the road, every Wednesday night after work, (5pm start if you care to join us) so I got the information one night and the cache on another.
Took a short cut and crossed the creek to get it!

Found by Roma and Max.
A quick calculation at the posted co-ordinates and then off to find GZ.
Relying on our auto routing device placed us on the wrong side of a creek but that obstacle was soon negotiated and we made an easy find.
We made our mark in the log and no exchange.
Thank you pwags for this interesting offset.

Well, well, well. The things you find in suburbia. Now I understand all of the white painted parking spots. Must be in much use once a year.
The clue was gathered easily and rather than trudge up and down the hill, I took to the streets and no far away was an access point which looked a lot less hilly than coming down from above.
Strolling along the river, we came across the cache without any problems whatsoever. Nice paint job too. Good to see some effort going to conceal a cache rather than just rely on natural camo.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks pwags. A nice simple multi, but one that brings me to an area I haven't been for a long time and brings knowledge that I never knew before. Kudos.

I got a bit confused with this one - I hadn't read the cache notes recently and got a big surprise when I pulled up at the posted coords and found I was not in front of any obvious "Winery". To make matters worse, there was a girl in a car (with the engine running) in the driveway and she watched me as I got my pda out of my pack and found out what I had to do - she even felt obliged to ask if I needed help when I approached the pole (and her) to get the info. After offering my usual excuse in these situations (I'm on a scavenger hunt) I was able to get the info, work out GZ and head off. I'd previously checked out likely accesses to where I figured GZ would be and headed there - but found I was going to have to make a creek crossing. Fortunately, there was a convenient crossing point and I was able to get to GZ and make a quick find without any trouble.

PS I didn't see any geocoin in the cache.

I knew this was here as I had some friends that lived across the valley from the start. We decided not to walk the hill, and so we drove around. We ended up in a park on the wrong side of the river (for the second time tonight!), but again we were rescued by low water levels.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
Another bit of interesting trivia. Who'd have thought a vineyard would be sitting here? Bit of a challenge working out how to get from a to b and found ourselves on the wrong side of the creek too but we found a place narrow enough to get across and the cache was an easy find from there.
Thanks indeed pwags. Another good cache.

Found at 11:30am on surely their busiest day of the year. It was open garden and there were cars and muggles everywhere. Had to park some distance away and walk back. Collecting the info near the letter box wasn't hard as we blended in with the crowd. At GZ we had to be a bit careful of the muggles on the other side of the fence.

Surely the most inner suburban vineyard indeed! Found the clue easily enough and then a parking spot for a shortish and quite pleasant walk to the cache, which was found easily enough too. Thanks for showing this interesting place in a nice creek valley.
It was a very interesting letterbox at wpt1, so much so that we nearly missed the lamp post. We collected the information and calculated gz, took the drive/slash walk option and found ourselves a very interesting location that you would not expect to find in suburbia. There was no one else around today so this made for a nice easy find
