Made our way up the long hill to the tower. Searched all round the area of the hollow tree pictured in Richlink's log. There was nothing to be found in the hollow tree.
Glad I came here as the tower was very impressive

Managed to find the pictured tree , but no cache or sticker, thanks for bringing us here
5 years since the last find and muliple notes about it being missing, about time it was archived
Went out there again on the weekend. You can drive in as far as you can along tower road and then walk the rest... Maybe a 4 to 5 k walk...
Needs maintenance though. The container is missing but the Geocaching sticker that was on the side of it is still there...

Every road into the cache (every single track) is now blocked off due to a Dieback risk. Unfortunatly the cache needs to be archived. Shame because the drive in was awesome
Do they ban walking to the cache? Or just vehicles. If its not walkable, then maybe archive it but otherwise it will still be a viable cache, just harder to get to??
What a great spot. The drive in is very easy just follow west palgarup off the hwy then a couple of turns to tower and follow it to the cache. Considering no one had been to the cache in a year it was easy to find. This has been on the must do for some time and was worth the wait. Thanks everything a cache should be.
This cache has been on our 'to do list' for a very long time. We always kept putting it off, but after closely checking the track maps we were confident of getting right to gz - Wow, we were right. Took Rapoff Road then Tower Road and it became virtually a drive-by. Beautiful country side of both bush and farmland. A family sedan with good clearance could make it with careful driving as there were a couple of water filled potholes on Rapoff Road that the Patrol just loved to charge right through. Co-ords were out about 7 mts for us but found in a traditional hiding spot. Don't avoid this cache, you won't regret the effort.

I've been meaning to track this one down for a while now. Although you can't get up it anymore, there are various places around where you can look back and see the tower.
For those who have not visited Alco Tower because you had to walk...well, I drove directly to the tower. To encourage other to come and see the tower I left the Emergency Medical Technition Geocoin. Its been almost 18 months since anyone has been here to the cache. In this time a periodic burn has taken place in the area...the cache has survived the fire well. TFTH GEOTEAM EXTREME
Nice bush around this area...good drive in for an easy find after the GPS settled down! TNLN
WanderingAus wandered by and made a very easy GAFF 1 find at 4:20 PM. The box was clearly visible and the lable had detached itself and stuck out like the proverbial d-- b----. I gave it a slightly better hiding before I left.
An interesting spot, pity it's no longer in use.
My find No 1341, LCC, T ratchet screwdriver, L mini multi-tool with led light and pouch, dropped my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC in for a visit before grabbing it back again.

I'm suprised the March Flies had'nt carried this one off.!! lovely spot except for the flies.
You've got to love Geocaching. How else would you find such interesting old sites as this.
First of the morning. Didn't climb up but would have been a good view. Swapped glow stick for lanyards and pens
8th of 24 finds on a 6 day tour of southwest combining bib-track maintenance, visiting rellies in Albany and Denmark and geocaching! Easy find in a very interesting area. Took drill bits, left calling card and keyring. Grabbed TB Cabela's. T4Th. Paul and Marnie
Have had many a picnic at the fire lookout as a child during spring. Not quite as I remembered with the present burnt bush, nether the less a nice trip in to the tower which is in suprisingly good nik. Thanks for the cache.
Woohoo another FTF for Team Carnage!
Found at 0730 our first for the day.
We have got a big Australia Day of Caching planned and thought we should cross this one off before we left.
I have been out to the tower many times before, it is one of the few that can still be climbed (at your own risk).
Took circut tester, Left glow stick and toy car.
