Looked for a long time and used the clue as well but still could not track it down.

02-Aug-24
Would be great if a previous finder could replace as it seems like a very cool cache cheers

27-Apr-24
No luck for me here. Tried searching on the ground too. Now I wish I had stopped the last time I was through here

11-Apr-24
Heading north from Napier, rattll and I paused here to have a hunt. Despite finding the hint object, and knowing what we were looking for, we had no luck in finding the cache.

11-Apr-24
Dnf. Pretty sure we were looking in the right place

10-Dec-22
Took us a little too long to find....but got there in the end. Great cache

10-Dec-22
Found it. Wasn’t visible to the eye. Good hide though.

27-Nov-22
D was not only faint hearted, she wasn’t keen on me attempting it! But I convinced her to stop and shout encouragement in exchange for adding her name to the log. It was safer than expected, with no real issues getting down or across. Container took some searching, was well hidden under cobwebs. Thanks Carla6, definite FP!

27-Nov-22
Definitely not for the faint-hearted, of which I am one! Barefootguru clambered down and around. I spotted the hint item and he had the cache in hand soon after. TFTC Carla6!

06-Nov-22
My Solo Escape from Napier to Taupo for the night meant I could hunt for caches to my heart’s content An appropriately named cache! Both because of the location and the spiders I had to fend off A neat hint and a great hide. Thank you!

26-Oct-21
We saw this cache on the way to Hastings and decided to give it a go on our way back home. Figuring out the access point was challenging. There is a driveway on the south eastern end of the bridge. Once we figured out the access it took a few minutes of rummaging around before we has the cache in hand. TFTC.

11-Jun-21
Oh my lawd. Again, we were here for ages in less than optimal light. Stressed about the possibility of having to log another dnf of failure. But success!! No tweezers so photo.

31-Jan-21
I didnt think there would be room for a big .motorhome to park but as usual macwatt made it work. I ventured out on the wrong side. After a reset we looked at other side. Cache located cunningly camped with spider webs. Log full. Squeezed in new log. Thanks for bringing us here

31-Jan-21
Awesome sneaky hide..loved the jungle gym great fun ..and very surprised how quickly it was located..there was even a scaffold put up for us to use...how considerate of somebody
Many thanks for the entertainment..man this structure moves about heapswhen the traffic passes over head

28-Dec-20
AliGle and I took a trip from Rotorua to Napier today and stopped to look for this cache along the way. Wasn't sure how bad this would be, but the clamber over the bridge structure was fine and the cache found soon enough. Log was completely full, so AliGle has included a picture of the cache with her log. Cool hide - fav point added! TFTC!

28-Dec-20
On my way to Napier with Vistra and stopped off to grab this cache. An impressive structure! Found quite quickly. The log book was full so we took a photo (attached). TFTC

27-Dec-20
Found after a wee search on the other side following GPS. Looked at a previous photo and yip was a quick find. TFTC

13-Sep-20
Quick find with help from previous cachers. SL TFTC

05-Aug-20
Off to Napier for a couple of days, so we picked up most of the caches on this road on the way down there, including this one. With the T4 rating I was expecting this to be slightly horrendous and in actual fact I walked along the bridge much further than I needed to go! Unfortunately there are currently barriers up to stop people from walking very far along the bridge, but at least they were considerate enough to put them further on from the cache! As previously mentioned, a certain photo and the hint are very helpful. Still, it was my muggle hubbie that found this one for me. As we were unable to look for this due to road works when we were last here four and a half years ago, I was very happy to gain a smiley for this one today. An FP from me, TFTC Smile PS The log is completely full - needs new paper added - sorry I didn't have any on me....

Google translate :
Here is a completely unusual place to look for a tiny cache! We were sure that we were going to be alone in the world in this man-made place that scares us a little! What a surprise to see arriving "just traveling" with his family when we were in balance to try to reach the cache still not unearthed! Together we found it in a few minutes thanks to the photo posted by Deepdiggingmole and the hint! A fun time to share with "just traveling"! We of course also discovered the bridge architecture thanks to the owner whom we thank!

Found with the help of a lovely Swiss couple and my son and his partner. Great hide.

04-Jan-20
Clue was clear, but nothing in sight.

04-Jan-20
Found this in the area of where I expected. Have walked under this bridge many times over the years, well before a security gate was installed. The rattle and shaking as a heavy truck went over was a great sound. Tftc.

24-Nov-19
Off in my car and I happen to have rustynz and Rebel98 with me for this 2 day weekend. We plan to get Geotour caches in Whakatane, Gisborne, Tolaga Bay and Napier. A trip that would take 1401km returning through Taupo back to Auckland.

Rusty seemed to be very keen for this cache. High light of the day? Hmmmm.

We went to one side of the bridge (wrong side) to see an entry down there. Took a foto of the plaque while there and rusty was off, I may as well not have been there... don't wait for me rusty, you just carry on..

Got to GZ and while rusty was walking to the middle of the bridge for fotos, I found where the hide was due to the hint on the cache page, so when she finally finished, I pointed out the cache hide and the hint which she missed. I know she's not bothered with heights so I let her walk to the cache, hide found in seconds, then without a word she was off.... catch up if you can Gorby. In the meantime Rebel waited patiently in my car.

24-Nov-19
Must find today. Thanks for hide

A group of Westies (rustynz, rebel98 & gorby) on a East Cape caching adventure, we came the scenic route Big Grin

Now I told the crew that we would be stopping at this cache! it was up to them if they wanted to join me, but this was going to be my must find cache for the day.

Going to the wrong side of the bridge I could not see a way down, so back over to the other side, and I walked down the driveway to the bottom.

Then the fun started, with the gate open, I walked half way, taking lots of picture as I went. This exceeded all expectations, and I was so happy to be here. ''

Well it was time to find the cache, so spotting the hint (I wonder how much longer it will be in place, as it looks like painting is planned?) I am walking the plank to quickly find the nano.

Loved the hide and the adventure Carla6

10-Nov-19
Passes this one many times. Finally went and grabbed it today. TFTC

25-Sep-19
I drove past here two years ago and didn't do the cache because I somehow thought that it involved walking the bridge in traffic. It was today that I saw some recent log pictures and knew what to do. Cache is way smaller than what would be possible here. Couldn't make much use of the hint but found it pretty quickly anyhow. TFTC!

26-Aug-19
Cache was way smaller than what I was looking for. It’s about the size of a single pill container.

26-Aug-19
Great little spot hidden away. Pitty you can't cross the bridge. Tftc!

23-Jan-19
I made this find so much harder than it needed to be by heading down on the wrong side of the bridge. Then I was looking for a bigger container than I was expecting. I would have made this container a Nano.
Finally found, log signed with difficulty as my pen wasn't working too well in the heat. 29° outside.

19-Jan-19
On our way from Taupo to Napier today, grabbing a few caches on the way.
Saw this and couldn't resist a challenge. Having parked up we followed the directions and found ourselves down below. The hint then became evident and the cache was found soon after. A fun cache and qualifies as a resuscitation as not been found for over a year

27-Jan-18
Had a good look around awesome spot but no joy

08-Jan-18
Just checked on this and it is still in place. Unfortunately gates have been installed so you can’t walk across underneath the bridge now ️

27-Jul-17
We climbed a lot. We found where the hint is "pointing" but we had to leave without finding this one. Could the CO please have a look if the cache is still in place?

13-Mar-17
Nice greets from Dresden in Germany Smile. TFTC

03-Feb-17
Heading to Weka Point Campground for the inaugural Waitangi Weekend Campout. Luckily I managed to hitch a ride with some passing by Aucklanders as they stopped for coffees and cake and managed to squeeze into the back of the vehicle without them even noticing. Thanks Alpenmilch80 and Evilno9 for the lift. After a lot of delays with coffees, accidents, Huntly attractions and more traffic we decided to ignore the 'nearby' caches and only turned on the GPS once through Taupo. Logs signed as Team Shocker

The terrain rating on this one made us stop. Not sure what we were getting ourselves into as we approached the bridge. We all started searching, and searching and eventually the cache was found in a spot we had previously overlooked. Not quite as much monkeying needed thankfully. Thanks for the hide

03-Feb-17
On a road trip with 11hpg11 & evilno9 with the end goal to spend the long weekend at the Weka Point Campground BBQ event. The high terrain rating draw us to GZ like mosquitos to light. Searched for a while but did locate the hidden treasure soon. In case I signed the geocache for us it was signed with Team Schocker! TFTC

03-Feb-17
Travelling to the outskirts of Napier today with alpenmich80 and 11hpg11, otherwise known as team Shocker for this weekend's activities - stopped in here as we were tempted by the terrain rating on this one and it wasn't too long before we had the cache in hand and we were back on the road again. Nice area - TFTC

01-Feb-17
There was scaffolding under the bridge, and StreetWalker spotted some workers so we decided to carry on.

21-Jan-17
I was off with Jodiporsche to sign off a couple of caches up the Mohaka River but because of the total fire ban we were locked out of the area. So they very kindly chauffeured me to caches on the way back to Napier that I normally wouldn't be able to stop at towing a caravan.

This wasn't as bad as I thought it might be. Then I dropped the top of the container. Luckily it was found very quickly.

Cheers for the cache.

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... A cross country adventure. We are working our way down to a CITO event in Napier this afternoon...

We arrived below and began a lengthy search of the location. Gap had found this before, so we had a bit of insight into this hide. However, it took a long while to find the hint item. We found a strange container wrapped in tape, but it wasn't the cache... We were still nowhere near finding this one. Even a PAF was useless. Finally, the hint was spotted, and we had this in hand after a couple of sweeps. TFTC.

The Three Amigos consisting of Davidson Clan (Rotorua) Philip.perry(Tauranga) and TnxPro (Tauranga) planned this trip over about a month we logged as T3A on the physical logs to save room.
This was my first find on this trip and I was stoked to get this as I had previously had a DNF on this cache. Cache was quickly located this time with the help of the clue which I must of forgot to look at last time as I was looking in a totally different area last time.
thanks for the cache

25-Jun-16
We've had this Tauranga to Hawkes Bay trip planned for a couple of months now and this was our 5th stop. TNXPro, DavidsonClan and myself have signed the logs T3A, an acronym from our messenger chat 'The 3 Amigos'. Cheers Carla6, the cache was found fairly quickly by DC and he was pretty wrapped about it considering his failed attempt in March. The vista was pretty neat too!

I'll also use this log to mention the [New Zealand Geocaching Adventure 2016](http://www.nzgeocachingadventure.nz/) which is being held 21-24 October 2016 (Labour Weekend) in Turangi. Please log your attendance at [GC63PZN](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC63PZN_new-zealand-geocaching-adventure-2016) to ensure this event achieves its [MEGA](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=86) classification. Can't wait to see everyone there!

25-Jun-16
We had planned a trip from Tauranga to Napier area for weeks now, and this weekend was the time to get as many caches as we could find.

We called ourselves "The Three Amigos" (and logged as 'T3A'), comprising of myself, Philip.Perry and Davidsonclan. Leaving at 5am Saturday morning, we knew we had a long weekend ahead of us.

Bruce had previously failed at this one so was keen to try again. I was definitely interested in this type of cache with this terrain rating.

This time we found it quickly. It felt quite safe with all the scaffolding around under the bridge.

Thanks for the interesting cache and the interesting vista.

DNF for me today I suspect I know where it was because I saw something out of place but no container or log looked underneath on the ground incase it had fell.
Will send picture of what I found.

26-Dec-15
We have been intending to get this for ages so just before dark we arrived and made a quick find. Thanks for the interesting cache. CoolCool

10-Nov-15
First we drove past the little entrence way so had to find a spot to pull over to turn around. Then we found the hint and searched but made harder work of it than it should have. Leaned over a bit further and spotted the cache. Want to come back here another time to walk under the bridge. Tftc

Day ONE of the Clan Murray 2015 GeoCache road trip - Tauranga to Napier

We were tempted to use the walkway to go to the other side (NOT !!!! lol)

A nice quick park and grab. Cache exactly were GPS said it was - soon had in hand
TFTC

02-Oct-15
Finally managed to tick this one off the list after having to pass by a number of times due to the road works. Glad it is all finished and I can finally say I have found it!!!
Had a few issues when I dropped half of the cache on the ground below but luckily I found it quickly and replaced as found.

18-Sep-15
This one took a lot of ducking and diving to locate due to all the scaffolding that has been set up and it looks like it has been here for a while. Tftc

15-Sep-15
Fantastic place for a cache. Bit scary going across the walkway. Can see the reason for the name. Log was full so have added a new makeshift one. Tftc

06-Sep-15
What a cool cache location! Felt like a bit of a rebel going on the construction site but nobody was around to tell us off! Log very full. TFTC!

08-Aug-15
I especially travelled this route to attempt this cache, but I arrived to find strengthening and painting in progress. No one was around so I had a search amongst the scaffolding etc anyway. I quickly found the clue but no cache. I did spot a magnet stuck to a beam slightly above head height but am unsure if this is cache related. Will pop this one on my watchlist. TFTC

07-Aug-15
Have been waiting for the work on the bridge to finish so we can find this cache. We drove up no lights to stop at do yippee! Had fun climbing over structure to find. Log is full so squeezed a our initials on JP. Thanks for a cache in a different place Smile

29-Mar-15
See my DNF log for details but perhaps this needs disabling for a while until the work is finished. Security not happy with people under the bridge.

29-Mar-15
Headed to Napier for a family wedding over the weekend, downloaded the PQ and the terrain rating piqued my interest. I thought that picking this up on the weekend would be easier as there shouldn't be anyone working on the bridge. We were under a little time pressure on the Saturday and I thought that on the way home might be best. After an awesome wedding and reception, breakfast and coffee on Sunday was followed by a hasty retreat before the rains came. The parking situation was dealt with - u-turn in the parking area 400m to the Taupo side and then, with no traffic behind I pulled into the little area right by the end of the bridge and made my way underneath. I had about 3 minutes searching (DNF) before I was approached by a security guard asking me what I was doing. Malcolm (the guard) was quite amiable, but was certainly not happy about someone climbing over the scaffolding and disregarding health and safety.....the CO may want to consider disabling this for the meantime - I don't think having people are welcome under the bridge at the minute. The works are due to finish by Christmas.......

30-Dec-14
Day 3 of the KiwFruitsNZ/Vamber Xmas road trip saw us head to Napier/Hastings, and picking up more caches to satisfy the requirements of the GIO Licence.

A couple of the team braved the walk but unfortunately, given the works underway, there were too many muggles to allow a proper search, so we have to record our first DNF for the day!

30-Dec-14
We managed to stop here and find our way to the bridge, but too many workers working on the bridge to be able to hunt for the cache! Sad

10-Dec-14
Due to the current road works at the bridge it is almost not possible to park the car somewhere around GZ - what a bad luck!
Cheers from Germany

12-Nov-14

18-Oct-14

12-Sep-14
Found with billiehenny returning from a fishing trip. We clambered all over the stucture in fitting with the T rating then found it!!!. TFTC

12-Sep-14
Found the cache, lost my phone. Didn't realise till I was just about to board a plane at Napier airport. used the iPad to locate the phone and a mate went and picked it up. This cache cost me a Bottle of gin !!! still TFTC
PS log book full

08-Sep-14
Got an opportunity to relocate a campervan from Christchurch to Auckland. With 5 days up my sleeve what better excuse, than to go find some geocaches along the way. Targeting certain caches along the way to help with the geo licence series in Auckland, so not a full on numbers mission, but managed around 70 finds over the 5 days. Thanks everyone for the placements.

What a great place for a hide. Didn't venture to far out but still really enjoyed it. Took a few minutes to work out the clue and find the cache.

26-Apr-14
Book demaged... I took a picture instead. TFTC

25-Apr-14
wow, what an effort for a hobbit - good thing I had my taller sister along for the added cms. t4tc

18-Apr-14
Tftc cool spot. Log definitely needs replacing

18-Apr-14
Being a civil engineer, crossing bridges is something I really enjoy. As my wife had vertigo and we wanted to play it safe, we parked at the mentioned rest stop and I walked down back to the bridge. I kept well to the left side of the road when a car pulled up back to me. An undercover police agent inquired what my intentions were and warned me not to cross the bridge.
When I explained that I was geocaching and would cross the bridge underneath he was satisfied and off he went
Good to see that kiwi officers know about caching and are observant!
The cache was then a quick crossing over the bridge away and hidden now in the storage of some scaffolders. After that a quick jog along the highway and back to safety.
Thanks for the cache!

Found with twinkle angel today. Having just introduced her to the fantastic world of geocaching, she really enjoyed finding this one. It was raining quite hard as we made our way down here. Took quite a while before I spotted the little blighter. As we were searching a loud noise from up stream. Saw a slip coming down. We also had to dodge a few on the road in places as well. After finding the cache we made our way to the middle of the mighty Motu river. Loved this cache Easy favourite point

08-Apr-14
Great location but found the cache a little bit of a let down for such a great site. Well hidden tho. Log is quite full. Found with uncle stairman1. And loved the walk along the walkway. Would never have known it was there!! TFTC

Headed out on the first flight to Wellington Saturday morning with FMZ and Lostcourse. Relocating a vehicle back to Auckland meant we had a big caching road trip ahead of us...! We headed back through the Wairarapa towards Napier, clocking up the numbers through skindo land. Sorry for the copy/paste log as its now all abit of a blur having cached for 36 hours with only a few short naps in between. Enjoyed the drive through these rough and winding gravel roads and saw alot of interesting sights.

Awesome cache placement here. If it wasn't for this cache, id never have known the track under the bridge existed. Fav for sure! After finding the cache, we headed out further. You sure know when a truck is passing overhead as the whole bridge wobbles from side to side. Big Grin

36 hours, 1,200km, & 315 finds made for an epic adventure! Many thanks for the cache and the perfect excuse to make a weekend of it! Big GrinBig Grin

Headed down to Wellington for a fly-down-drive-back-caching weekend with mike-miss and Lostcourse - basically a caching binge drive back to Auckland, caching under the moniker "Team F.M.L." We headed out of Wellington as quickly as possible to get some serious caching done in the Wairarapa and Hawkes Bay before heading back to Auckland. Apologies for the copy/paste log, but we found >310 caches in 36 hours and for many it's hard to remember specific details. We headed through a bunch of interesting winding back roads and saw a lot of beautiful sights and historic spots. We shared the driving and stopped for about an hour to catch some shut eye in Pongaroa before continuing, caching all the way. Saturday was my biggest caching day ever, and this Feb, after just the first 36 hours, is already my biggest month ever. Nice quick find of the cache here and then I had to test my fear of heights by going about 1/2 way out to the middle. +1 fave. TFTC!!! Big Grin

Took the first flight down to Wellington on Saturday for a fly-down-drive-back-caching weekend with mike-miss and FMZ - basically a caching raid across the North Island.Team FML! for the win! We headed out of Wellington making a beeline for the Wairarapa and Hawkes Bay before venturing back to Auckland. We headed through a bunch of interesting winding back roads and saw a lot of beautiful sights and historic spots that only geocaching could have bought us too. We shared the duties around and took a few micro naps when ever prudent. Saturday was my biggest caching day ever, and this February, is easily my biggest month ever. Cheers for the cache placement!

Nice easy find on our way home from Rotorua. TFTC Smile

20-Jan-14
Feels a bit like home for the roofcat , I really enjoyed my time on the bridge walking up and down and climbing in the structure TFTC that's a really unexpected place

18-Jan-14
Have driven over the bridge countless times and the last few times I had dismissed the cache as too hard. I saw the photos on the previous logs before we left home and decided that it was time we did this cache on this trip away.

Mr Kiwi parked safely on the Napier side of the bridge. I raced down and quickly found the hint, but no the cache. Ran back up to the car and suggested Mr Kiwi could take some photos. He backed the car onto the track beside the bridge and away we went. After a few minutes to us both searching he found the cache right where I had been looking....

I walked some of the way along the gangway.

The log paper if full, so we took a photo of the log sheet.

Out for a day of Geocaching with Seffnjarah. TFTC

08-Jan-14
Saw this one was along our intended driving route and made a special effort to grab this one. Took a bit of work to find a parking spot, but eventually managed to stop and approach GZ. One of our travelling companions from Buzzgirls overcame his fear of heights to help the search and after a while it was eventually found. I managed to walk a third of the way along before I had to return to the car to continue our journey. Thanks for a cache in a really great spot.

07-Jan-14
Of course we wanted to do this one. The description of the cache was way to tempting to pass it.
We couldn't park the campervan safe next to the bridge, so we parked on the official rest-area about 400meter away. Walking back to the bridge and then diving under the bridge. So we found the great walkway under the bridge. The gate was difficult to open. hahaha
The walk was very impressive. Cache was easy to find and a bit of a disappointment that the high star-rating wasn't related to the cache, as that was more a 2star.
It was certainly a great spot for a cache and happy to shaky walk the bridge again back to the campervan.
Thanks for putting a cache out here, altough the logbook is full

What an amazing place for a cache. To get to places like this is why I like GCing so much.
TFTC!

06-Jan-14
Yikes! what an absolutely terrifying place to be! After finding the cache I walked out to half way to take some photos, which I really regretted doing until I got myself safely back on land. Giving this one a favourite because it's an awesome place to stop and hopefully more people will check it out. There should be signs to this amazing walkway! TFTC

04-Jan-14
Very eerie for a heights wuss like me. Walked part way along the bridge and located cache on the return.

After the HRT we are off to Napier. All done pretty quickly. Thanks for the hide.

Excellent place for a cache and an interesting walkway! Thanks for the adventure TFTC.

18-Dec-13
We stopped at our trip and didn't really know what to expect from this name but this bridge is great! We enjoyed the walk and the cache was easy to find! Many thanks for it

Greetings from Germany

08-Dec-13
10.25am - As the cache name says, if you walk to at least the middle of the walkway, which is under the bridge. This steel strucutre must have been some feet to build. I could see one solo kayaker in the river below. The only thing I thought was the cache should have been something more substantial than a magnetic micro and the hint some bodies tagging. SLTFTC

04-Dec-13
I had somehow expected something more adventurous, but it was fun nevertheless. After finding the cache I walked all the way out to the middle to take a few photos Cool

NZ road trip with Schlitz13. On our tour we had the time to look for some caches. We found them, and some special places of interest or great views.
A stop here allowed us to see the lower parts of the bridge, very interesting, a nice place for a cache.

TFTC!
