Gave this a good search and even expanded the grid. However no luck. Given the number of previous DNFs, could the CO confirm if the cache is still there? Thanks for the hunt anyway homerjay73
Didnt find this one today either - similar to the 2 previous logs I too found bits that may have been in a cache but no container or log book to be seen!!!

Geo husband and I scoured this site today and came up with some swag and a cut cable tie, but no cache.

Will watch and see what happens.

The shrubbery is looking a little worse for wear... I agree with some of the earlier posts that this one deserves serious consideration. I found a few trinkets and broken ceramic scattered around what I believed was GZ which lead me to believe that the cache may have been destroyed. I could be wrong but didn't want to trample any further.
Found it took me awhile but found it not sure I get the hint... Also left pencil there was no pen with
Couldn't find iPhone gps playing up will come on weekend and look again nice view thou

Caching with the kids over the school holidays was fun, but it's really nice to get out on my own while they're at school.
Coordinates being bang on, this was an easy park-and-sign.

It was such a cold and blustery day that we weren't worried at all by muggles. Mrs Thetaz wandered ineffectually round while Mr Thetaz did the hard yards and found the cache. TFTC
I didn't enjoy looking for this one. Although I was spot on 0m with the gps I had no luck. Found a couple of other unpleasant things, but no cache
I have to admit I've been avoiding this one-the cache name had me worried...... But I was passing today and it seemed very quiet so thought I would give it a go. Not too bad at all in the end! TFTC Took TB
Great spot, love the find! Team Karencashew and Tinyb left a little diamanté gem, but did not take.
We pottered about in the wet George W's before Trail saw a rather obvious hiding implement, I think we missed it due to the lack of light for our night caching session.
This was a short, wet night-time run for me tonight which was suddenly cut short. I was able to take Danozz out and pick up 13 caches with him before handing him over to Quasar3671 for more caching up north at about 9 pm. This is one of the caches Danozz and I picked up before I left for home. Thanks
After doing a "DNF" last July we had a lot more luck this time around......the clue made sense after we found it.
Thanks homerjay73 for the cache.

Finally managed to get back here and sign the log. I had found this one months ago with onwheels but didn't have a pen. AARRGH! Oh well, all is fixed now. Great view from platform too. TFTC homerjay73! Now to get some more of yours...
One last cache before light gets the best of GeoBel and myself. Found cache with not much difficulty. Lesft rubber snake/lizard, took nothing. TFTC
This clue is damaging the plantlife around here. Please consider changing it to something more sensible.
16th find of the day, and 3102nd total find at 4:44:00 PM.
Found on a caching foray into an area that none of us have been to before.
A bit of searching was required here, but the cache was soon in hand.

Out caching with teams Ian & Penny and Liz & Bruce. A quick find by Penny (where others had already looked) then had us checking maps and debating the best way to approach the two caches that this point overlooks.

This was one of the caches targetted by our group (Ian and Penny, Phetlern and oursleves) during a very entertaining day of caching. With thanks to homerjay73 for placing the cache.
Found this one on a caching run out to Woodlands Power trail to join C@H and KellyHaunts for lunch and moral support on their smashing endeavour.. Thanks homerjay73 for the hide, I parked beside this one, however as I couldn't initially find it I rode down the the other two trads nearby, before PAF, and return for quick find.. thanks for the hide..
I have history with this cache: I searched for it right after it was placed trying for a FTF, and failed. (Muggles interrupting didn't help, but basically I failed to find it.)
I intended to go back ... forgot about it ... and found myself here again on a cache run today. Unfortunately muggles were present continuously, so I parked my car to give some cover and had a quick look.
Neither the clue nor the earlier logs telling me I didn't need to step into the garden were enough for my abbreviated search today; I'm giving up on this one.

Found after about 20 min of searching when I was about to give up. Not fun at all, I'm glad it's finally off the radar. I'm not a fan of such type of hides The plants are damaged, so maybe the owner could consider movng it somewhere away from them. There are lots of good potential hiding spots near GZ.
Found this one together with nadya. Well, that actually was nadya of two of us who found it. Did not enjoyed the search at all - it's that crazy type of caches where you just search and search and search (no need to say container was not on the coordinate). I was expecting some fun from this one but there was none.
I also must bring to attention that vegetation in the area is DRAMATICALLY DAMAGED by geocachers. Please please please be gentle to those plants. And author should consider giving a better hint rather then the useless one which is in place now. There is one distinctive feature near the right spot - maybe he should notice it in the hint. Otherwise vegetation won't survive long.

Found on the way back to the depot with Phil the Dill and Dennis the menace. Probably 20 times I have said upon driving past that I will stop and complete this cache and today we did. TFTC TNLN
Gotta DNF this one, we spent a short time here looking, we did not want to add to the all ready trampled area, so may be next time.
We were doing a prewalk from Gorge Rd, Sth Morang to RMIT Bundoora Campus.
Distance 13 Km, following the edge of the Plenty Gorge Park via streets and parks. (Plus an additional 6 Km return via Plenty Rd, for a total of 19 Km)
So we parked in the carpark and got the packs on.
On went the GPSr and up pops the cache that we hadn't got yet.
We looked at the "garden". Oh dear...Looks like it has been trampled by a mad mob of elephants! We fire up the iPhone for a look at the cache notes.
We agree with the previous finders remarks. STAY OUT OF THE PLANTS!
The cache was easily spotted and its location did not really match the clue.
The cache may be suffering from a dose of cache creep.
But, we replaced it where we found it, but with a bit more cover.
Once again...you do not need to step into the plants to get the cache!
Thanks for the cache Homer J

I hate grass plants and anything to do with grass plants! Also doesn't help that it's partly camo'd as well. Seems needlessly cruel this one! Tried this a couple of times before, but on driving by today it happened to be under the first plant I looked at. Miraculously. This garden has been ruined by cachers, let me assure future hunter s that you do definitely don't need to enter the garden bed to grab this one. Tftc
Looks like there has been a lot of trampling of the garden bed where my GPS took me to, and I didn't want to add to the damage so just had a cursory poke around. The 'garden' is just rugged grasses, but if you don't need to get in among the plants, perhaps this could be mentioned in the description?
Finally found with GeoDad @16:50 on our way home from an afternoon out caching.
We had gotten to the point that we truly believed we would never find it, and considering we can see our house from GZ that was a little disappointing. Happy to finally log this one & wondering if it has been moved, because we are both certain we should have found it before now.

31/05/2011 21:08 Found. A late night cache but didn't have much time so instead of going further afield I opted for this one. Had little chance of finding it last time due to the exposure at night with a torch next to a busy road and no gloves. I bought some the next day and have also spoken with Jim (80 degrees) to get more of an idea on where to look. Picked the correct plant first time and had the cache within 30 seconds. Easy when you have an idea on where to look. The Android was still having issues connecting to the 'net so I couldn't log at the time. TFTC TNLN homerjay SL

Tftc. 3rd visit & finally found it in the dark. Great location but glad to tick it off.
Finaly got this cache!! Cant say we found it easy. We were looking for this one with a preconceived idea of where it was and how it was hidden. ROOKIE MISTAKE. Somtimes the info you gather about a cache throws you off a bit. Thanks to 80 degrees for ensuring us the cache was still active and we should have another look with a fresh idea about how the cache was hidden. Glad to cross this one off the list... now lets never speak of it again.. thanks homerjay.. TNLNSL
Well second time back here and the area has been massively cleaned up! Where are the bushes now?!! They have pulled out the bushes and have heavily trimmed back the few remaining trees, so after a final search, we decided to give up. Can anyone confirm if the cache is still there? The bulb growing type ground cover plants are getting heavily trampled; might be a good idea to relocate this one slightly?
Been to GZ three times now in April looking for this cache. Council workers have done a clean up in this car park recently and may have cleaned up the cache. Not saying it isnt there but, if it is it sure must be burried deep underground? Some of the bushes that used to be there have gone and the whole area looks like it has been trampled
Third time and I am going to have to accept defeat on this one. Took a second set of eyes with me but after 20mins before we decided to head further into the gorge to look for the other two that are hidden in there.
25/03/2011 19:54 DNF: #344 I'm not a fan of needle-in-a-haystack caches. I understand that GZ has accurate coords, but the problem lies in the accuracy of the seekers GPS equipment. I myself could only get down to 6m accuracy and it is clear by looking at the bushes for 10m around GZ that this is a big problem as it is all showing obvious signs of very heavy trampling. Looked for about 15 minutes before the light and my enthusiasm failed.
One of 36 finds for the night while out caching with my good friend Blacklegend (Marshy). Took us a little longer than it should have to find the cache but we got it on a second sweep of the area. Thanks for the hide.
One of 33 for another day/night caching run with my good caching mate Marty (Quasar3671). Took us a while here. Probably my own fault, didn't look hard enough on the first sweep. Used to ride my bike from Epping as a kid, 20+ years ago now, and then down the gorge. Man it was scary, you could go so fast, you could overtake cars..... rofl. TFTC and the memories.
this took a little while to find the coordinates were a little of but not to bad tftc
Found at 2.25pm. Had gone out and about trying to do a clean up of the area with xambo4u and also introducing syzygy50 to the pastime. Had looked at this one a long time ago when new to the activity and awhile ago - but it was offline then so keen to mark it off today. Don't like looking through these sharp spikey plants so rang a help desk to make it less painful. Good to get this one finished

2.25 2nd for the day. Out and about with 80 dregrees today and Margaret in training. Mrs 80 has the plan and we have a new driver, Mr 80. The weather is great and we want to clear out a few that we have missed over an area. When we were here before this one was disabled at the time. On arrival there was muggle car parked taking time out. He moved on and quickly there were five buttoms up looking through the spicky greenery and empty bottles. After a distress call was put through to the help desk, a good indicator led us in the right direction. I can see how this one could easily get run over.
Thanks for the cache.

[font=Comic Sans MS][green]I can honestly say that when Crustyvarmint and I found it it had only been run over by a car or similar and was hidden in the bushes. All the log and contents were still in the crushed container so we logged it anyway
Well i'riblit, Due to the fact that a hospital visit meant that I could not walk for 12 months, I was unable to retrieve all my caches that were damaged or faulty so I had no choice but to archive them until I could walk again. Now that I am mobile I can go and fix the ones that require and retrieve the faulty ones.
So thanks for your concern.

Found on a day's caching with Reesylou.
Had to make 2 trips to the carpark to try to find this one, as it was busy the first time.
Used my car as a screen to hide our search, and eventually located this tricky hide.
My thanks to Homerjay73 for placing this cache, shame it's now archived, SL

Found on an epic (for me) days caching with bogonghazy. This was the 7th for the day.
When we returned from 'our exploring place' and 'middle plenty views' there were council trucks in the car park - turns out they were concreting in some conduit. Didn't realise this one was archived, so went away to 'Plenty paradise' and 'ralph wiggum rocks' before returning. Took us a while to find, and nearly parked the car on top of it - looks like someone had already by the condition of the container.
Although the lid no longer fits (can see why archived), the contents are dry.

Now I am puzzled... I didn't realise that this cache had been archived until I came to log the find. How can this be?? I thought that an archived cache couldn't be found once it's status had changed to Archived?? Oh well it's another find and the crumpled top and lid defect is still the same, but the contents are ok anyway.
You did an excellent job of camouflaging it homerjay73.

The lid doesn't fit back on the container (love the container by the way) so that it is no longer waterproof.
Found almost by accident at 15:00. After casting about for a while, I brushed my foot against what turned out to be the container and recognized it as such by the contents spilling out. The container looks like it has been squashed a bit so that the lid no longer fits properly.

Found during a cache search weekend around this area, great lookout area. Cache damaged but still some ok? may need to be changed. TNLN
A nice quick find after the GPS settled.
The area looks like a bunch of elephants have trampled all the plants in the area.
Maybe a note saying that you don't need to go on the garden would help the poor plants back to life!
When I found it the container is a bit squashed and the lid doesn't fit anymore.
I took the TB to take with me back home to SA this weekend.
Cheers HJ for my last caching day in Melbourne.

Our third find on good friday. It took awhile to find this one. The geo kids were half hearted in their search but I got it after about 10 mins. Geoff kylee tim stuart and sam.
Road works on Gorge rd made it hard to be inconspicuous but the find was not that hard. (Sorry Murrayp88/bubblezdee) Good camo HomerJay. As per previous log container is warped and lid is not secure. Put all contents in a new zip lock. Lovely views from the platform should you need to avoid muggles. TNLNSL T4TC
Only had a quick 5min look around as I wasn't sure after the last few logs whether it was worth it.........
We had 5 ppl looking for it but still didnt manage to find it! Will come back and have a more indepth look in the daylight one day.
I had a good crack at this one last year but couldn't find it amongst the million or so potential hiding spots, but was passing today and thought I'd have another go, for I was keen to get it off my unfound list. A muggle rocked up and sat there in his car just after I got there, which is just my luck. I went and had a look at the view to kill time until he disappeared. When I got to searching it only took me 30 seconds this time.

Found it not a problem but the lid has been busted and need to be fixed before the content falls out
Had a crack at this one but was unsuccessful after thrashing around in the bushes for 10 minutes or so. Some smelly excrement and a syringe did not add to the overall caching experience.
