Our family was island hopping across the Pacific - sharing some of my youth with them, enjoying the islands, and learning some WWII history along the way. We only had 10-15min to look at this location before kayaking, but checked the area (without distrubing anything) and could not find the cache, even after the hint. TFTC!

I didn't find it but man did I look. There were a lot of places it could have been and a lot of white rock markers and sticks that it could have been behind. I'm bummed not to have found it after so much anticipation as I am visiting from Majuro but alas I shall live. The ruins were nice the cache would have been better. :/

This is the second time (!) we tried to find this cache. The GPS was ALL OVER the place. One second 4 feet, the next 37 feet...We think we might have gotten close but could not locate it either visit. Can someone help us? We looked at the hints, the photos, etc. Still can't locate it. Is it still there? Help!

Cache is in great shape. Checked on it today. It seems that the "tress pass fee" has gone up to $7 now. Put a new pen in the cache as they seem to keep disappearing.

The site was really cool. Very much like something Lara or Indy would be seen entering. Some of those stones are as big as my Yukon! Other stones look as though they have been cut into repetative log shapes making stacking not so difficult if it weren't for the sheer size of some of them. As the sun was going down the rats were scurrying about in the dead leaves making quite a racket. Spooked at first until I realized what it was. The GPSr was all over the place but I had to make a couple of sweeps and finally narrowed it down.[Behind a rock? The whole damn thing is rock!]. I didn't have a flashlight and was blindly sticking my hand into every dark area I could find. Then... Bingo! Used the light from the GPSr to illuminate the paper. Strange the air coming from the walls was lower in temp than the outside air. Waded back across and made careful work of the trail. Alright, I knew about the $3 from the folks I talked to at the embassy. However, as I was driving away it was full on nightfall at this point and I got flagged down by a 94yo lady. At first I thought she just wanted to say 'hi', or at the far end perhaps she would like a ride into town (of which I was willing to accommodate). I stopped, rolled down the window and she stuck her hand in and said, 'one dollar or you are trespassing'. I was being held up by an old lady! For a dollar! Perhaps I should not just check for smiley faces on the past logs but actually read the contents.
'Throw me the dollar. No time to argue! Throw me dollar, I'll throw you the whip!
Thank you for the adventure!
SQ!

In Micronesia for work. Some of my work mates and I took the overland route. We first had to pay $1 to the local chief to cross his land. After about a half a mile the road ends. At that point we had to pay $3 a piece to cross private land to take the trail to the Ruins. It was worth the money. The Ruins were impressive. I waded across and entered. There were so many places to hide a cache. But I did find it. TFTC.
