There was a need for me to drive and run around Caloundra this afternoon. And a need for me again at sunset. But in between, I have a bit of time and with my bit of time, I'm gonna continue to grab the sparse oldies remaining a couple of suburbs to the north. This was on the list!
Google Maps did me good and navigated to the eastern end of the walk. Looks like a lovewly stroll too; which it was. Up along the fencline and arriving at GZ.
Recent logs tell an interesting story; a bridge that once was, then got moved. A geocache maybe now hiddn at head height a few metres away. I read all of this and checked photos too.
Sad to say, but today there is no bridge. No sign of a bridge. And nowhere head height to hide a geocache. I poked around for a good long while and found no geocache either. Ah well, I did the full loop and enjoyed the place all the same

This area has drastically changed; no longer matching the hint and previous photos. Time for the owner to take a look.
We looked everywhere around the eastern end of what would have been the old bridge, but it was very rugged so it’s a DNF fir us too
It is quite confusing as people are talking about a bridge, which no longer exists. If it were S meant to be in this log, which would be a great spot, it is no longer there.
I can’t even find the bridge! We walked around all the paths but there was no bridge or cache to be found.
Bridge has been taken down and placed within 5m no longer on ground floor look up around eye level Good Luck and Have Fun
No luck here - one of the entrances to the park has been blocked off due to some sort of construction, so had to go around. Searched and searched and searched....even with the hint I had no luck.
2388 - I went for a walk just before dusk on a lovely day on the Coast to grab a pizza from a nice Pizza Shop on Alexandra Parade. On the way I had to find this cache of course as it was just a small detour from my intended route. I found it in good condition in the logical position using the hint at 5:47pm. Thanks for the placing and upkeep of this long standing cache Konie! By the way the pizza was a great move for dinner.
After visiting family nearby, we decided to come for a walk along this beautiful pathway.
Lots of other people using the pathway as well, so we waited till a break in the traffic before diving in for a quick find here.
Thanks Konie

Wtat a lovely park, I just came up here to look for this cache and I’m glad I did lots of birds and beautiful jungle. The path looks empty but all of a sudden muggls appear from nowhere and I had to be shifty. Thanks for this Cach. Found at 1:20
So glad it’s winter and the Joe Blake’s should be hibernating. I hate putting my hand in dark places TFTC
Quick and easy find in a nice reserve. Could hear yelling and screaming from a nearby house. Glad my neighbors are not like that.
Konie I found your cache Alex Forest on 23/6/2022, 11:10 am. This is my find 3572 and find # 4 today. A quick and easy find. Logbook soaked but placed a slip of paper to sign. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Brisk walk during afternoon tea had me up at GZ in no time for a nice fast find. Now to get back to Assembly at the conference centre next door before the rain kicks in. Thanks for the cache.
A planned weekend trip up to the sunshine coast to grab a few caches. I still need a few more to get me closer to that sunshine coast challenge. The trip worked in well for the Sunday morning CITO event in Coolum.
I meet up with Esmiley and we spent Saturday, day and night, caching areas that neither of us had been to before. We were not certain if the recent rains and floods would have effected any of the caches but we gave it a shot.
We first of hit the Sippy Downs area and we had some fun. Many of the caches here took much longer than they should have; we spent way too much time trying to find simple caches. We then moved towards the north, working our way to Coolum however, time ran out and we had to stop for the day. It seemed as though the day was getting hotter as it went on and got even worse during the night.
Thanks to all the CO’s for the caches, some I kept notes on, some were just great caches and some I really do not understand why. We signed all logs with both names and replaced as we found them.
This was a nice find, it was getting on dark but still easy enough to find thanks.

Up on the Sunshine Coast grab few more caches for a challenge cache. Glad I came up here because it rain in Brisbane, but in the end the rain did come up here. Got rain on at Point Cartwright. Rest of the day was good. Did spend to long at two DNF’s.
My haul today was 14 traditional, 2 earthcache and 2 adventure labs with 7 waypoints. In the end the finds count was 23 finds and 2 DNF.
I had lots of fun today.
Sorry for the generic log.

My plan is to gather as many of the caches over 10 here in the Sunshine Coast this one has been out for nearly 14 years. Thanks to everyone maintaining this one for all to find.
After a couple of DNFs I'm glad I got this one before having to head home. Found while on a break from Victorian lockdowns! A lovely little park to explore
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
The birds are singing today. It is like being in a magical wilderness yet so close to suburbia. TFTC

After an all-terrain CITO to get the day underway, 1MinniMoo and I nicked off to the Sunny Coast to find mostly older caches - like this one. Name checks out - Alex Forest, and after a weird park we headed up the path, and then up the path another little bit to get the right path and viola a quick find ensued.
Thanks Konie for entertaining me at this location.

Having attended a CITO to start the day, the rest of the day was planned out relatively meticulously Pprime style. The goal was to grab some older caches around the Sunshine Coast.
A nice short wander... and after a small detour, we soon had the right bridge. Then after waiting for bike riders to ride by, who thought we’d pulled over just to let them pass, we then made ourselves a quick grab.
Thanks for the cache Konie.

A busier track than expected; had to make a quick grab between muggles. Lovely shady spot out of the heat

What a lovely area for a walk. A few locals walking their 4 legged friends through here so we walked past on our first approach of GZ. Turned around and this time the coast was clear to make another quick find. Should have bought some swaps along on my walk to fill up the caches. Thanks for bringing us into this area a FP for that
Another day out caching in this beautiful part of the sunny coast with hatzofff, RoddyC, E_Smiley and grannysmith1947.
Nice hide and a quick find by our group.

Found it! Took me a little bit too long probably, not being from Australia I don't really like putting my hands in places like that First filmed a documentary of the object which allowed me to detect the cache when reviewing it. Cache in good condition!

Nice peaceful walk, loved the hint! Our very first geocache for me and my girlfriend
Found nice and easy. All good with this cache. Swapped the mini first aid pamphlet for a brightly coloured marble. A torch could be useful for this one, especially at night! TYFTC.
Nice little walk in an unexpected bit of Forrest.
Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.

Sorry we went for a walk and forgot to bring a treasure to swap out. Make sure to bring a pen to log your findings
Easy find with the help of a torch as previous people have said. Thanks for bringing us to tjis lovely spot.
What a lovely remnant piece of bushland right in the middle of Metropolyadore. ! May it survive for many many years to come. The name plates for trees etc. is very informative, and of great interest to us personally. Hint and hiding place very acceptable, except for the dirty human who thinks it is alright to pick up their dog's poo (10/10 for that) then hide it under the bridge instead of disposing of it properly ! TFTC Konie.
An easy cache find (A torch could come in handy to keep the trolls at bay) in tranquillity SL, TFTC
We found it! It is easier than it looks...but take close attention to the clue because that gives a lot of help to the non-blank minded people...our tip that you bring a torch and this takes under five minutes to the right minded people this was our first geocache we have ever found so exciting! This photo is what the box looks like
This was a great spot. Used to walk through here all the time many many moons back. Smallwombat loved the reminder, led us straight to gz and before we knew it, we were in and out. Tftc
I used to stomp all over this forest as a kid, growing up nearby, so this cache was full of nostalgia today. Especially as we came in from the "new estate" up tranquil place. Wow how everythings grown!
Easy find at gz, enjoyed the tranquility for a moment, then rode on home.
Thanks konie for putting a cache here eleven odd years back. Great spot.

A lovely hidden forest track. Thanks for bringing us here and showing this place.
It leads you to a gate that you can’t get past and you get bitten by mozzies
