Another dnf for the day. We got within 2 m around 14:45. Nothing to find so widened the search and ignored the hint but no success. Noted that this cache has not been found since late 2017 so some maintenance by the CO might be needed.
The long weekend was here and it was time for fitzy_1965 and I to head down to Vic in the geo-unit for an epic geomission We had a great time camping, cruising around admiring the beautiful scenery and nabbing LOTS of caches! A great weekend of quality caching all round!
A quick find for us here at this beautiful spot!
Thanks for the hide, TeamGeoPlesk

14689. Found during a long weekend caching run down through the Bombala / Genoa / Mallacoota / Cann River / Orbost / Lakes Entrance / Bairnsdale regions with specimenX.
A long weekend caching plan was hatched with specimenX to head down to Victoria for 4 days of caching and camping. Had a fantastic time driving around enjoying the scenery, camping at various locations, plus the huge number of caches to be found. Day Two dawned and we had survived the rain. Packed up and hit the road. Next find of the day. Quick find at GZ once we negotiated the drive in. Signed the log, replaced the cache, and headed off to the next one.
Thanks to all the COs for placing their caches !!

Very well hidden in plain view, not often that caches are like this, but I think if you not looking for something, you wont find anything, Thanks TeamGeoPlesk & Earth-Child cache is in good condition
We came, we found, we camped - yay gorgeous stop on our road trip from melb to Sydney tftc
Today we explored Orbost and surrounds using geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way and this was one of them. An easy find, great views.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Found this cache while out on a mtb ride today. A couple of guys were trying their luck at fishing on the beautiful beach. Cache was a quick find and in good nick. Thanks for placing one here.
Lovely spot. Down for the grand final weekend. On behalf of Victoria, go doggies!! Cache a bit wet so let it all dry before returning. TFTC
Found at 2:22 PM GAFF1.
Another lovely spot with a wonderful view across the river and beyond. No one around so we were able to search uninhibited, however we did make it a lot more difficult than we had to [B)]
Thanks TeamGeoPlesk.
Feedback: The container is a Small not a Regular.

Found on our way past to do some surf fishing, yes it took abit to get the lid off so didn't put it back on quite so hard. TNLN TFTC
Found on our trip to Mallacoota. After a HUGE drive from Mallacoota to Orbost, this was the first cache of the day. It was a bit difficult to drive on the dirt path, but we were greeted by both an echidna and a gohanna on the road - very cool! Once we got to GZ - wow, awesome views of a very different style of beach, very cool! Once we got to GZ, the cache was quickly found - however the lid was stuck to the cache container very well. We couldn't even open the container, so we took a photo instead. Loved this visit. TFTC TeamGeoPlesk!
Day eight of a challenge trip to East Gippsland with BettyBoo3747.
Marlo down to Cape Conran, with a few caches and a dead whale to fill in the day.
The lookout here was very picturesque! The river hasn't broken through the beach atm.
Great view from both GZ and down on the beach.
The logbook was stuffed so BB has replaced it, and a new pencil and a couple of swaps.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 9821. Our last full day in Marlo and so Robmc and I took a drive to Cape Conran and collected a few caches along the way whilst admiring some great coastal and estuary scenery.
Such a pretty place with the river and the ocean views. However, the sizing of the cache had us confused as the page says Regular and when finally found the cache is certainly Small. The logs were very wet so we removed them and left two new log sheets in a fresh plastic bag, a pencil and a couple of bits of SWAG. Now off for a walk to look at more views.
Thanks TeamGeoPlesk

Looked in the wrong places to start with but then the penny clicked... Thanks for bringing us here to this lovely spot.
Walked up the hill after paddling around from the launch area to the mouth, which seems only just closed at the moment. Hike up to the gorge after that! Well spent day so far
pretty easy but clues are not exactly true. The container is extremely hard to open.
I found this awesome cache with Ostara74 while we were on holiday in the area. What a brilliant hide! We enjoyed the hunt for this cache a lot. The local area was very interesting and a great place to visit. Thank you to TeamGeoPlesk for their efforts of making and maintaining this cache. Thanks also for bringing us to this amazing spot. I love that caching brings me to new and usually relatively unknown places that I would never even know about, let alone find, if I wasn’t hunting for a cache. This very cool cache was my 1599th find.

Found this together with Pathfinder24 and Ostara74. We suddenly saw this was on our way and so we stopped for a quick view and a find. A muggle came down to enjoy the view together with us but left before we replaced so all is good.
Beatuiful spot and seemingly quite popular as well. All is well with container and log.
Thanks for the cache and greetings from Norway.

Found together with Pathfinder24 and ellesaich on a sunny day. This was my last of five finds today.
With ellesaich visiting us from the cold north, Pathfinder24 and I came up with a route for a camping trip to include three of Australia's states.
During our combined summer- and caching-trip in VIC, NSW and ACT we visited many lovely places and made some additional stops to look for caches on our way.
The cache was located and the log (which was a bit damp) signed. And then we were quick to head back to the air conditioned car.

We are staying at the Orbost caravan park and we headed off to find a few caches. This was one we targetted and found. What a lovely outlook. Thanks to TeamGeoPlesk.
The container was very stubborn to open and the contents are wet. Might need to consider a change. One of our favourite places.
Nice quick find - that was the easy part. Getting at the log was a little more difficult, but all OK after getting my toolkit. Thanks for the hide.
Loved this spot. I think we'll be back tomorrow to have a paddle and fish. Wouldn't have ever visited here without a cache. Tftc
A nice hide, unfortunately the log was very wet. We grabbed some notepaper and clipseal bag and start a fresh log. Place this and the tin in the bag and back into the container. Hope this ok. TFTC
Found at 3.30pm
What a pretty spot, perfect for the kids to play/swim in.
Cache was found easily enough - after waiting for people to move on.
Opening the cache was another mattter.
No amount of hand strength could move it,
We took it back to the car and had to use a hammer and screwdriver to prise it open.
Never had to do that before!!!
Once inside the menthos tin revealed a very soggy logbook - amazing it is so wet considering how tight the cap was on.
Signed logbook,
Lovely area - we were camped nearby
Thanks

A nice easy find. Definitely no need to jump te fence.
There is some moisture in the cache, e dried it as best we could. The log book is slightly damp but we were still able to write init.

Found both my Gps's about 50m out as they said the cache was in the water and down a very steep hill so with heaps of people walking by i head off to another cache. Will have a look again if im in the area.
Found with geozilla oz on our camping trip to Marlo cache no.14 found cache and after a brief struggle back to the car with cache in hand and grabbed the tool kit 3 min later Sl and returned cache TFTC
Found by Mrs E with Master, Miss and Mr taking in the views. Required Elmer's help to open the container....once inside signed log, TNLN TFTF. Log nice and dry.

This area had over 150 mls of rain in the last few days and the Yeerung River had broken through into the sea - pretty spectacular. The cache was found with ease, but opening it was another matter. Found this one with Bingami and geo-friends - all had a go to no avail. Repaired back to the car for tools to assist - yeah! I had a screwdriver, and with some well-place bashes and knocks with a ratchet thingy we managed to prise off the lid. Cache is wet inside - dried it out a bit and popped the log into an eclipse tim to give it a better chance. TN Left fish.

The Yeerung was running a banker! Great to see the river flowing fast to the sea. Lid difficult to get off - required toolkit from car. Contents damp so put log inside another container to keep dry within the original container.

Had Noticed one of my coins had been dropped here so thought I would pick it up while I was doing a new cache in the area. Did some drying but its constant wetness is a worry especially since the owner is now in the opposite side of the state.
Quick find log is a little bit wet but dried it out as good as I could dropped in. Shark fin soup Travel bug swim free. Sl tftc
Found this one very quickly, but struggled to open it - in fact spent several minutes trying to do so. A few gentle taps (and one frustrated no-so-gentle) eventually loosened its seal. The Yeerung mouth was blocked by sand, and needs some tidal intervention to get rid of the pong!

Removed rusty hair clips.

spend a long time searching at GZ, but no success. Alot of people at the beach on this very hot day.
Coast 11.2. Another rough dirt road, but despite a very busy car park. there was not much traffic past the cache. That was good, as it took me ages to get to the right area, but it was eventually done, and all without leaving the path. Thanks.

Found this by accident when walking with my school, snowy river campus. I found Geocaching from this, my first find.
This speedy little racer cruised across the beach to this cache before turning tail and heading back west.
The cache was in a clear and safe spot, easily accessible without going over the fence. Well worth the walk along the beach for the views. T nothing, L glass easter egg. TFTC
Rarely do I read other logs but did for this one before searching. Spent probably 20 minutes looking in areas where I didn't have to jump the fence. In the end I did and found it straight away. It was not reachable without the jumping the fence. Agree with the previous comments very strongly, so moved it 2 metres up the hill and put it in the hide from the track so unless it grows legs can be reached from the structure and path.
Very nice spot, quite a procession of fisher people going past. Thanks for taking me here. i hope it doesn't get moved, but upon driving away. I thought of a better spot if I had dug a depression for so it was under a solid bit of wood rather then sitting next to it.

When hidden, this cache was easily accessible without jumping the fence, must be subject to a bit of cache creep. If its becoming a problem i will archive it, or perhaps the next finder could move it so it is once again easily accessible? I'll update the description to re-enforce not jumping the fence. If the next finder thinks that it should be moved/removed i will do so. No one should be jumping the fence, apologies if the cache has led people to do so.
1328 This sort of hide isn't to be encouraged - the platform is for our pleasure, the fences are to protect the environment. What do all geocachers do??? jump the fence - that's what. TFTC anyway - nice spot
Found it at 4.25 pm in company with Murf66 and respective families. We were hoping to retrieve the trackable listed in the Inventory, however once we had a look through log we found that the over zealous "camping gang" had been there before us, after swearing black and blue they weren't doing any caches on their walk!!!! On our return we compared notes with the infamous "camping gang" and found the trackable had not been there on there arrival either. MIA.

We've been wanting to find this cache for a while. A beautiful spot. Lots of fishermen out over the Easter break. TFTC TNLN
The Yeerung is a beautiful place.
Especially on a sunny day
I enjoyed a short stroll to see the views and find the cache.
I expected a wet and soggy logbook from reading the notes and was not disappointed
Not much to salvage I'm afraid so like the sign says, it's all be removed responsibly to a bin.
Except for the logbook, which I have hung onto and am attempting to dry out
I've left a more robust container with new logbook and a couple of salvaged swaps from the original cache until the owner can revisit.
Size downgraded to a small for now
Note it's location is a bit precarious and if you can't find it easily it's probably been dislodged by critters and rolled down the hill a bit
TFTC and visit to a great place.

Got to GZ ok and found the cache without any problems. BUT - it was FULL of water and most things inside it were cactus! Emptied the H2O and replaced the container upside down to hopefully keep things dryer. I'd have put a new log in but that would have gone the same way.
Another nice spot on a hot day and there were plenty of people below having a swim.
As noted the container is cactus but we didn't have the time for maintenance today.
A nice spot- TFTC!

As with last post, the contents were quite damp and require drying and a water proof container. We didn't find till late in the day, so didn't get a chance to dry it all out. Tried to leave container upside down to keep water out. However, the fishing was great and it is a wonderful spot. Thanks for the cache.

Owner or next cacher needs to replace container and dry contents thoroughly. Cache waterlogged when found. Has been replaced upside down to prevent water entering via damaged lid.

Did this one after paddling up and down the Yeerung on the Hobie Adventures.
A family kayaking trip - we even took the geohound.
The cache has been nibbled by critters and no longer seals. We didn't have a container with us or we'd have replaced it but it is in urgent need of maintenance - dry out all contents & log book and replace container.
In the mean time we've placed it back upside down as it will be more water resistant this way. The critters have nibbled the lip seal in the lid.
Thanks. TNLN. Uploaded pics.

Arrived just on dusk and the mossies were there to greet us. A small torch was helpful. Beautiful view of the river mouth. Cache was sopping wet so dried out the objects and tried to dry the log book and re package. Took hair bands as they were in a sad state and left nothing. Hopefully secure placement will avoid further water issues. Perhaps a new cache box which is a bit more water tight may be in order. TFTC
Found on a very wet, cold and windy day. A quick find but the insides of the cache are quite wet with about 10mm of water. The log book remains reasonably dry. The local wildlife are knawing away at the blue lid of the container. Took the Shelly TB and returned the container upside down in the hope of stopping ingress of water.

My first cache for the day after camping the night nearby. I kicked off todays caching at 6:00 and what a time to do so, the sun was just coming up and it was a great day. I found the cache quite easily but it was half full of water. It may be time to pay it a visit.
Thanks TeamGeoPlesk & Earth-Child for the great spot.
