Road tripping with membsec, collecting a few caches along the way. I noticed this archive may still be available to find so suggested that we stop and have a look. At GZ we found the bees and also happily the cache was still tucked away safe and sound.
Thanks for the cache michaels mob

On 2 day trip of the north with Nyssaflutterby so she couldn't resist helping us find archived caches. Bees are quiet in this weather but a substantial honeycomb exists close by.

The bees are still there but the cache can be easily accessed! The pen in the cache doesnt work, as I would of thought. TFTC Find #76

As there's been no cache to find or log to sign for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
As it has been raining all morning, & this is close by, thought it might be worth a walk. Only a few bees about, certainly none agressive, so in & grabbed the cache, filled out log & replaced as found. It is in good condition, but a little damp after todays rain. TFTC. It' a nice walk through here, but have not done it for a while.
Bees were out in force today. Didn't have cache notes so just followed the GPS. The same two attack bees and an armarda of others went after me with much the same results as previous attackees. I, on the other hand, did not want to be apiaristically damaged so I left the cache for those made of sterner stuff.
Seriously though, this shouldn't be tried by anyone who has allergies to anything. I was around 8m from GZ when I was bombarded.

Parked in the 'car park' area, and started my walk down. Didn't realise that this was disabled at first. Got to gz and had a snoop around. Saw some bees and wondered where the cache might bee. Then the attack began, and the chase commenced. I ran, arms flailing up the path hold gps in one hand, and hatin the other. These 2 bees just wouldn't give up the chase. Finally I heard one bee, and then none. Whew! I looked at my gps, which I still had in my hand and it showed 75m from GZ. Recon I ran that in 6sec, so my 100m dash would be good Anyhoo, got back to gz and poked my head in one area trying not to provoke the bees and there it was. I grabbed cache SL, TNLN and retuned back in the same spot. Gave the bees the bird and walk fast back up the track. Nice walk, nastly bees, but cache still there TFTC.

Taking this action until I can get the opportunity to perform the maintenance that is required to have this cache back in tip top shape. Have been laid up with a knee injury for a while and will be for some time yet. Will have it up and running again ASAP. Sorry for the inconvenience…. BUT if anyone still wishes to search for the cache and finds it but are unable to log it OR retrieve it, it’s OK with us if you still log your find on here without signing the log book.
Visited GZ on a rainy afternoon bees were about but "beeman" poked out the cache. We have replaced cache in same spot but different position. BEEWARE
Can see cache but no way I touching it with all those Bee's buzzing arround...
bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....................................
bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....................................
Owner needs to check this out as it cannot be accessed with the bees in residence.
Logging this as a find although we weren't able to access the log. Bees have taken over the container and we were swarmed by the inhabitants when we tried to move the cache with our walking stick. Needless to say we made a very hasty retreat.
BEE careful. This is now a bee hive or a wasps nest. Not sure. Didn't get close enough but it sure is buzzing.
Part of our caching holiday in Northern Tasmania
Well dry forest indeed. The whole area was very boggy due to the heavy rain before our trip. Found by Geo Kid A.

I have been out of caching for a while now.
But now I have my P's I hope to find more time for it.
Having lost my phone (found under my car seat) I had not read the cache description saying to keep to the path and instead bashed down some difficult steep rocks (60m, I can bash that easy haha)
Found easily And got to use my stamp for the first time (if you want to see it I guess you need to go out and find this cache)
TN Left bouncy ball.
Thanks For the Cache!

A pleasant walk and quick find in another inner-city reserve. Again, plenty of wildlife visible during our visit. TFTC
We think that we may have come into this one the wrong way round as we followed the track we realized that there was a little bit of off track work to be done to get to gz, the girls decided to shelter in the shade while the boys traveled off down the hill and they couldn't help but laugh when we spotted the boardwalk not far from gz. We started our search where the GPSr said it should be and came up empty handed, we then expanded our search and still found nothing. Maccamob then headed back to the original location and found the cache in a spot we both thought that we had looked earlier
Thanks michaels mob for the cache

Found by Mary & David at 1430. And it was sooo dry. The grass crunched beneath our feet just like our parched lawn back home. The track we were following petered out and we continued on cross country. We joked that we'd probably find a wide path next to GZ. We didn't, but we did find a boardwalk! Our thanks once more to michaels mob.
A quick find. Although hubby got a warning from the inchmen that are guarding the cache. Hubby was none too happy either, none the less it was a great cache in a nice area thanks.
I didn't find this cache when I first searched for it quite a while back but today it seemed so much easier following those who have beaten a path to its door.
Always a little hesitant where I put my hands but a stick revealed where I would need to be.
Thanks Michael's Mob.

This was a longer walk than we had anticipated and we did not have the right footwear for the trip (thongs and crocs). After saying hello to a local (wallaby) we found the location easy enough and Jr Geo spyed the hide but was unsure about just how far to place his hand. A stick to poke around with first then a reach in to grab the cache. TFTC
Found quickly (having read the last couple of logs and the hint...) and then completed the circuit. TFTC.
A bit wet and slippery here today. found gz easily enough but struggled to locate the cache. a check of the previous logs pointed to one place in particular and bingo. tnln. Thanks for the cache
1st find on day 2 of our Tasmanian holiday. Nice quick find after shortish walk through the bush. TFTC
Found pretty quickly after a stroll through the bush. Took car and left a soldier. TFTC
I would never have put my hand where the cache sat snuggly waiting for some cachers. Thankfully someone else got it out Thanks for the cache
Upon arriving at GZ the tree mentioned in the clue was quickly located. The first and second searches turned up nothing and we began looking further afield... eventually I stuck I stick in the obvious hole in the first tree (which we'd all checked thoroughly already) and rattled it around... the tell-tale plastic rattle gave it away immediately!
Took stickers, left army man.

Yet another spot to take the pooch for a run while bagging a cache. A clever little hide another of launcestons great little public reserves. Took Key Ring. Left Stickers and glass gems. Thanks!!!
While I was up here decided to pop in to my parents and grab my brother for this find. Great idea as they invited me for a roast tea, score! Nice walk in the rain! Least there were no muggles about in this weather! Thanks for the find!
Once again I took the wrong route and ended up walking down a vertical (well....) hill. Found the cache without a problem. Needed the clue. Lonny people like scary places to put their caches. Arachnaphobia!!!
Dry it might say, but after all the rain, the bank we climbed back up was far from dry TFTC
a perfect morning and a perfect spot, TNLNSL
Thanks for another great park investigation.
Thanks for another great park investigation.
Missed the parking coords in the description and parked further down the road.
Had a muggle tell me that I couldn't park there!, I looked at my car then looked back at him and said "I just did" he then said "well what if I am policeman", my reply was "well you'll have a gun then and you can just shoot me!", he went a very angry red colour, gave a big huff and left me alone after that , he picked the wrong person and the wrong day for that [:(!] but after that little exchange I was merrily on my way to GZ.
Another excellent michaels mob cache in a great spot. Thanks
Took - golf ball
Left - koala key ring

Second cache, excellent fun. Found it eventually, good thing I don't give up easily.
Tucked away very nicely!! Took GC.

Found while out having a brilliant evening of caching with MullinitOvr. We took the more interesting track in but found GZ quite easily. A muggle and her canine passed by while we were there, but she was easily passified with the 'taking photos for a class' excuse. (I doubt the canine was as easily fooled!)
Thank you for the cache.
Thank you for the cache.
We took the more difficult path to this one, but we got there in the end, once again Snuva came up trumps. Loved the walk in and out. TFTC
Dropped Triquetra Knot geocoin from Switzerland into this cache and took The Wandering Wombat TB. Also logged a bunch of other travellers through. Thanks.
No its not.
It's not a dry forest.
When we went there it was wet.
And it's wetter when you can't find a path in. It's alway easier to find the path on the way out, don't you think?
Took a TB
Left a geocoin
Thanks MM

First of three today - introducing a local muggle to the game. Nice hide - great for a first find.
Left Wandering Wombat TB in this little forest

To many DNF’s on this one for my liking SO I have changed the hint as the last one wasn’t to helpful I’m sure.
Found this after another walk in with mini cacher and her nan. Had a bit of trouble actually putting my hands on this one but after a quick phone call to MadChilli i had it. Was in the right spot just needed to go in a bit further!!
Nice Spot.

No go at GZ but there looks like a lot of activity has been around the area i was in don't know.
Thanks Anyway

Wow - that was tricky. 4th try and we found it. I have to say I think it's the absolute frustration that drives you to get this one. Coordinates were spot on, at least they were on the wet-tree-covered day we eventually found it on. Awsome spot. Great fun. TNLNSL.

Third try ... DNF. Found three really likely spots (one long one and two short - stumpy - ones) but no cache. This is our first cache so it's probably still there, will have to go try some others. Absolutely perfect conditions for Geocaching today so we're off again.
Found it after several trys. Bit tricky for a new chum like myself but I am getting better at using the GPS
3rd time lucky, although one was without coords so maybe that didnt count, even looked in this same spot last time but obviously not good enough, Thank MM
Searched high and low for this one. Should have been my first find as it is only 300 metres from home. No luck. Made do with By George for my first find.
Well!!! You know your struggling when you have to get someone else to go and find one of your ‘own’ caches BUT that’s what I had to do…..
Thanks 5commer3 (Rodney) for your help with this, those caches down Port Sorell way must have been real easy ones……
Have enabled it again…..

2008-09-26 19:11 Found in the company of Mr 5commer3. Nice walk down to the cache.
It was a little hard to reach but it was there. Stuck it back in a fair way but you can see the corner if you look hard.
TNLN thanks MM.

Was in the area so called past this cache to check it was still ‘tucked’ away safely after reading a DNF log recently BUT unbelievably it was no where to be found!!!!!
Don’t really know how this cache could go missing but I couldn’t find it, (in the spot I put it originally anyway) so unless my caching skills have diminished over night (found 11 yesterday) then I’m quite sure it’s missing !!!!!
Will contact the last finder and check with him to see exactly where it was located when he found it and where he re-placed it. If he did replace it to the original spot then I’ll know that it’s definitely missing and will get back ASAP to replace the cache.

I enjoyed the walk to this one but had no success at the spot where I thought it would be hidden and no success where my GPS pointed some 5m away. I did find a saw but little else. Maybe cache blindness.
Thanks anyway and I'll check it out again some time again no doubt.

WOO HOO.. (word of the day I found out)
Can finally scratch this one off the list,
Only 580metres from home and its taken nearly 5 months to get around to doing it,
Enjoyed the walk in the afternoon sunshine,

Easily found in a very peaceful forest teeming with bird life. TNLNSL TFTC M/Mob...Cheers.
Rated: for Overall Experience
Yes, this certainly is a very tranquil piece of forest, just the birds kept me company as I did the most enjoyable loop walk, including a straightforward find. TNLN.

Not too peaceful today, children playing (read arguing) nearby at full volume. TFTC
A very peaceful area, early in the morning with noone around apart from the odd wallaby.
Many thanks MM.
