Logs
This is such a great caching spot it seems a shame this one hasn't been maintained. If it is still there, it sounds like the description and hint may need changing. Perhaps otherwise it needs to be archived to free up this spot.
Attempted last week with no luck. Three dnf's.... Perhaps it needs to be checked
Saunter? We scrambled, slipped, slid, squelched, swore and searched for sixty shoe soaked minutes. Coords were all over the place so we climbed the bank four times as we looked for likely spots. Please change the clue as now we have read further back we realise we should have been looking in quite different hiding places. We will be back.
Returned to this, the site of my previous DNF, and together with an expert it was finally located in a different spot than I had looked before. Glad to get this one of the pending list.
First geocaching endurance adventure for Geomatt123 and I, we loved it . Couldn't find a tree to match the description so started searching around every tree, had to stop after 5 minutes as per the rules we had agreed on
WOW. Talk about a bush walk. Glad we read previous logs for this one. I feel like the next bear grylls after searching for that one! Nearly gave up
After much slip sliding, tripping and falling failed to spot the hint object so decided it was too dangerous underfoot for me and withdrew with yet another psychrn DNF.
09/04/12 @ 10.30am - hooray finally found it, we're able to pick up another one close by as well. Log needs replacing . SLTFTC
I must have approached GZ from the wrong direction, coz it was not a saunter! tftc
Foudn it after a bit of hunting. GPS all over the place but found it in a skinny tree next to the tree I thought it should be in. Cache damp.
Found it after a bit of hunting. The log is in desperate need of maintenance. the bag is ripped open at one end, the paper is damp, and is full of entries
We didn't know this place existed. Took quite a bit of hunting around but we found it in the end. Old logs were helpful. TFTC
Nice area - bit muddy - finally found the spot not quite where we thought it would be but all good TFTC
Did a bit of slipping in the mud, but did find the cache, so that made it worth it
Short walk to get there, but spent some time wandering around the bush. Got it in the end though!
Quite muddy around, not the best cache to look for straight after work, lol. Probably time for a new log, not much room left.
Almost gave up on this one. With bad GPS reception, slippery slope and about a million containers to chose from, I pretty much, accidentally found the right spot. Phew!! TFTC
Very wet and muddy, although we still pressed on to find the cache. Got it! TFTC
You might want to look at it as recent events seam to have felled the clue, TFTC, was a releif to find it.
Log sheet very wet, although was still able to sign using a pen. I would not recommend using a pencil.
Looked everywhere for this one, maybe different hint or what ever has to be made as too many places to look especially with difficuly & terrain, one should not have to climb the bank.
Very nice walk in the park on a muggy day. Tree is indeed in a different shape to described in the cache page. TFTC
Did not find it but did not read previous logs either pretty sure I found the tree with 8 branches and had a pretty good look around. On to watch list for this one.
Spent a wee while hunting through the undergrowth for likely spots. Wish we'd read previous logs first as we were looking for something that matched the hint, but by all accounts this is no longer the case. Perhaps the hint could be updated to reflect the change? Anyway, may come back, may not. But thank you anyway for the excuse to explore a park I didn't really know was here.
A little bit of bushwacking but found it in the end, pity about all the rubbish up there. Grabbed swiss geocoin.
My first cache in New Zealand. It's located in a nice Parc but I had to look around for a while until I found it. I placed a GeoCoin in it.
Thanks for the cache Quiri
Thanks for the cache Quiri
Nice park but pity the location, many much nicer patrs of the park that you could have chosen.
But none the less it was a challenge, and also being so close to home.

I think the clue should change to reflect that the cache is now in the stump of a fallen tree, which I suppose had 8 branches. There is a nearby tree with what I kept calling 8, because there weren't any other options. Then, I read the old logs.
Bugger, no luck today!!! The area has turned into a bit of a dump - i managed to cut my hand on a broken bottle, so bring the gloves for this one!
Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh! didnt read the previous logs.
Now the fallen tree makes sense!

Not a good one to do when very wet and slippy Tree fallind down and had to dig cache out. TFTC
First time in this park, pretty wet under foot but thats winter in the Waikato, signs of a fair bit of thining out of new growth in the under bush ie lots of muggle activity, might wait for things to dry out a bit.
We had a walk at Donny's, but it was a bit sloshy. We started at the bottom of the hill and had to jump the creek to get near GZ. About this point the GPSr decided that it didn't have enough sats to play fair. So we walked (slipped) around a largish area in the falling dark - probably not one of our best moments. Then the cache was found! Well we had to dig it out - something had fallen and it was underneath. Signed and rehid a bit easier than before.
Thanks for the walk in the park, Robmc.
Thanks for the walk in the park, Robmc.
Had to vault the creek but after that it was a bit of a struggle in the muddy undergrowth.
A fortunate find as the cache had become crushed under a falling branch but it was okay and
once Rob dug it out it was logged and repositioned.
Thanks

With all the wet weather lately, we wondered if this was a good idea to tackle, but went ahead anyway. The biggest cacher took the downhill bank in one quick slide, thank goodness the rest of us were following and not in front!!! Located the cache, well, we could see it, but how to retreive it??? Nobody was keen to scrabble in the mud for access. Finally with a bit of teamwork, lifting, bending, reaching & encouraging we did it. Log sheet is very full and could do with a replacement, found a space and signed log. TFTC
Who would have thought there would be so many spots that matched the clue! 3rd spot I checked proved to be the charm. For a 1.5 terrain cache it was not at all easy to move around in the vicinity of GZ, nor to actually approach GZ, but fortunately it had not rained lately, so the area was quite dry. TFTC.
Out on a small cache run with Gadget-Tron.
Perfect place for a cache in trash out. Drop me a line when you set one up and I'll come help.

Not the nicest place for a cache. Plenty of rubbish everywhere. GPS was thrown off by the tree cover but go there in the end. Terrain rating of 1.5 seems inappropriate as there is no easy way in or out of here. TFTC
Was my first solo cache search, and after a bit of looking was a successful one
-geocoin, yummy! Will pass this 'un on soon!

What a mission find this one was!! Started at the bottom, then went back to the top, just to come back to the bottom again! The gps read 13m out when i finally found GZ. TFTC this was one of our biggest challenges yet.
Well this was a challange, climbing down thru the trees and rubbish, the cache was soon in hand
Took a bit to find as my GPS had me 20M off the mark, probally due to the coverage.
The clue confused us a bit at first too, as we found many examples as described.
Lots of rubbish and signs of a Homeless person in residence.
Eventually found what we seeked but we did make hard work of it.

Shame about all the rubbish in the area. Took a little while to find the hint item, but a quick find once we did. Bit of a clamber back to the top. TFTC

Terrain 2.5? I'd like to see you mountain bike to and from the cache! Thanks to Mrs B, who found the clue item far from GZ, we managed to bring this one in. Not sure about the general environs - looks like the locals don't repect this area much.
Had to search hard for this one bu it was worth it. It is the first of this difficuilty that we have tried. Just a note that the paper log is almost full (now on the back side of it) and that the plastic bag containing the log has split. We have uplifted a geo coin which will be finding it's way to another log later this week.
Found as part of my three week caching trip from Wellington to Auckland - # 771. Thanks.
Quick and easy find while I was supposed to be working in Hamilton for the day. I had time to grab a few caches when no-one was looking. Thanks.
Finally found the cache after searching for the right tree. Found many other old treasures like bikes and radios while on our hunt. TFTC
Found after a long search. Also found 3 bike frames and some old wallets TNLN TFTC
Found this one after school on ?Wednesday?. A few people wandering around, but none on my side of the stream . I'd found this cache before, but didn't write anything on the log, so decided to venture back into the bush and find it from memory... The tire was a good landmark :p. TFTC

Found some kids tickling for eels in the creek. Approached GZ from wrong side of creek and after backtracking, had cache in hand.
Returned to car, three soggy individuals, and one dry doggy.

Out and about with Team Welsh - thank goodness for the bloodhound component of their team - very pleased to find the cache - but man the rubbish around was quite unbelievable and quite sad.
The clue helped and the bloodhound in Team Welsh certainly helped with the find.
It took a bit of scrambling around the hillside until I spotted a likely looking tree and found the carefully stashed cache. We enjoyed our walk around this park LNTN TFTC.
Second visit here and Found it with the aid of the hint. It is a nice park another one where i have never seen anyone else on my visits. TFTC
12.50pm. Been here twice before. The first time the fields were under water so didn't enter. Second time tried without success from the top. Today started at the bottom and got there after a while.
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
Enjoyed seeing an area of town we hadn't visited before. Did the ultimate in trash out. Found a near-new supermarket trolley in the bushes, so loaded onto the back of the ute and returned it to Foodtown.
Went here with earthie and we looked and looked and then I spotted it after we had given up looking!!! As other logs noted - there is heaps of rubbish in this area. NINO TFTC
After a while, managed to find it. To echo what everyone else has been saying, there's heaps of rubbish around here. Also looks like you'll need a new log book, as that one is fill. This park is where my school comes for cross country, so knew the area kind of well, but still took me a while to find it. None the less, TFTC
Easy find thanks to my brother george. Log is overflowing. A new one is needed.
Easy once i found out where it was. I dont have a gps yet! Waiting until after christmas for the sales.
