Methinks this one needs reviewer attention to be put to sleep....

26-Sep-15
We decided to have a look as we were in the area despite the DNF's. No luck I agree this definitely needs maintenance.

28-Aug-15
Judging by the amount of other DNFs, this one might need some attention. If not interested in maintaining, please archive.

Oops. I didn't check the logs on this one before heading here, just wandered over from a nearby cache. The coordinates seemed a little off, so I went back to check the logs, while trying not to seem suspicious to the number of muggles that kept walking or driving past. Oh, a number of DNF's. Hmm…

Had a look anyway, and looked at the recent coordinates suggested. I couldn't find anything either….

22-Aug-15
Didn't find. Looked everywhere. Can't find it. I think it's gone.

17-Aug-15
My original plans to meet up with a fellow cacher and hunt some rats and rabbits fell through, so I decided to stick closer to home and find a few puzzle caches that have been sitting solved for ages, and finally earn my souvenir!

Was hoping to grab this one on my way to the puzzle caches. I had a quick look using amended co-ords but a few too many people walking past so I decided to move on.

15-Aug-15
Nothing for us today - even at the alternate co-ordinates. Noticed a lot of rocks from the wall on the ground....

15-Aug-15
No luck. We think it wasn't there

Was hoping to make a quick find after getting Walk to Work but not today. Found some amended coordinates in the previous logs but despite looking in every spot I could, still had no luck.

Smilie #2434

After our previous find, it was only a short walk around to this cache so there was no way we were leaving it unfound! Smile
The co-ords had us searching the wrong side of the street which could have ended in embarrassment.
A recent log steered us in the right direction & the cache was soon in hand.
Signed & returned as found.

1581 - I grabbed this one on my lunch break as I picked up some supplies from Scout Headquarters just around the corner. I left the car there and went for a walk to GZ as I know parking in this area is hard to come by during the week. Found after a brief search at 1:18pm. Thanks for the cache noie1234 and spider and for the recent maintenance Captain Terror. I found these coordinates accurate today. S 27 28.685 E 152 59.636

Found on a late night hunt, just as drunks were rolling out of a taxi up the street. Very patriotic container, easy find thanks to hint TFTC

17-Apr-15
Not sure this one will last long. It was completely exposed when I arrived and could see it from across the road where my GPS had me.

I was able to find another piece of material to cover the cache's hiding spot, but i think it will dislodge easily.

Found with richliink on day ten of our Mega 2015 Stanthorpe adventure.
This was our last full day in Queensland and we had decided to seek out the puzzles solved before we left home. But, things didn't go completely as planned, instead we ended up a bit shell shocked from negotiating the vast Brisbane highways and byways, toll bridges and tunnels. Thanks for your cache noie1234.

In Brisbane with iluvtrekking for a day of caching after attending the Mega Event in Stanthorpe. We had solved some puzzles prior to our visit and set out to convert them to smilies and also collect some others along the way. We didn't get as many done as we had planned, too traumatised from all the on/off ramps and negotiating the freeways. Thanks noie1234

Find #5103

After picking up sharkiefan from the airport last night and staying in Brisbane at a terrible backpackers overnight, it was time to head back to Stanthorpe and the Mega.

After a disastrous DNF at "Queens Land" due to flooding of the area, this was the first cache of the day. Mint Tin!! oh well, at least it was a themed one. Big Grin co-ords did have us on the other side of the road tho!.

Thanks to noie1234 and spider for the cache. TNLN

My 1st Queensland cache and its a mint tin. At least it was a variation I'd never seen! Coords had me at the other side of the road. Tftc

In my eagerness to find this I stumbled across a large paper wasp nest just opposite. Wasp 2:jenpiet 0 Sad was worth the pain - the usual thrill and fun of the find. Thanks!

That's a little impressive, this geocache has been geocaching longer than I have. Only a few months more, but I still think it is significant. It's also less than 20km from home for me, so dare I ponder why I've only found it today in light of many thousands of finds many hundreds of kilometres further away.

Today Net88 and I chose to meet up and grab a few geocaches in the general Milton area. We had noted this geocache has needed some owner love for a long time and while people are happy to mention it, nothing has been done by any of them. A short drive in the same car and I parked us just across the road. It's a bit of a non-descrip sort of place and I can only hope there is some story or reason for this hide.

The GPSr pointed to the middle of the road, but a likely area was under attack from a careful look. Net found alternate co-ordinates from many years back courtesy of Gaz'n'Kab and those were entered and lead us directly to a very suspect spot. I have added the numbers that worked for me today.

A suspiciously placed bit of camouflage was moved and the geocache was parked right behind it and indeed worse for wear. Best we whinge less and fix more. Net coughed up an eclipse tin at great expense from somewhere in the car and another minute invested with a baggie, scissors and some paper had a spanking new logbook in it. We signed our names and replaced the whole lot where the old container was. May it last a while longer. Happy to have another icon from this area I hardly ever visit ticked off my map. When I woke up this morning and checked my calendar I realised I needed a cache for today. I knew Captain Terror wanted to get out and go for a bike ride so I called him and organised to meet up and grab this cache before his ride.

We met at a set of shops and hopped into the one car to please Captain Planet. With Captain Terror behind the wheel we made our way to this cache and I was surprised that we were able to park directly across the road. I had read a few logs mentioning that the cache needed a bit of TLC I had forgotten the black eclipse tin that I meant to bring with us but knew we would find something to replace it with if it required it.

We started hunting and I supplied the Captain with some corrected coordinates. We headed over to them and the covering rock was immediately identified. With the cache found we agreed it needed to be replaced so we headed over to the car to operate on it.

I found an eclipse tin in my glovebox, obviously from last winter and we trimmed a logbook to fit inside. We added our names and replaced the old with the new container. Thanks for the cache noie1234.

Unfortunately for everyone , we read previous log and decided to go fix up neglected cache , had new container had new log had new zip lock bag , but alas we could not find cache ,we looked low, but how low can you go when you are in your late sixties, sorry folks we tried

02-Mar-15
An early morning visit while the locals were walking down the hill to the train station for their daily commute.
The coords are off but the previous log provided enough information to get to the right area.
After scouring through the place for a few minutes, a telltale sign was evident and the container uncovered.
One of the many logs signed and container replaced back.
TFTC, Noie1234!

This hide needs maintenance but since the CO hasn't been active for years, the GC community needs to take care of this.

A new container and new logsheet & bag would be needed here. The current container lacks lid, the ziplock bag has holes in it and there are multiple soggy logsheets in. I.e. replace the whole lot and start afresh here... Smile

Geo Wife & I had to visit The Wesley Hospital today with our son so we wanted to include at least one cache while up this way.

The weather didn't help but this one was so close we just had to get it!!

We were lucky enough to get a parking spot quite close and headed for GZ.

We searched around for a few minutes at the coords but then noticed across the road seemed like a good hiding area.

We searched again and had just found the cache when the heavens opened again so we hurriedly signed the log in the first spot that looked blank between dates for 2012 quickly replaced the cache and ran back to the car.

Thanks Noie1234 TFTC SL Sorry we didn't get time to drop a replacement log sheet in the rain beat us off!!!

I kinda like caches that take me to a place that is interesting or has a story but this one doesn't appear to be neither and with previous logs noting cache needs maintenance, CO appears to have found 11 caches themselves and that was years ago I'm thinking this cache has a limited life expectancy..
Too many ppl on the street so didn't try to look much at all.

Found this one on a quick trip out at lunch today with Selva Girls. As we drove past we saw pretty much exactly what we expected. Though once we parked (quite a bit away as there was no parking as close as we would have liked) and walked back towards GZ the coordinates took us to the other side of the road. After a quick search we figured it was probably on the other side of the road as we suspected and the coordinates were just off. Heading over Selva Girls started at the top and I started a little away from her. After a bit of looking we tried reading some logs for clues. Found a few, and kept looking. We tried to find it as fast as possible as we were on a time frame, and had to get back to work, so I was searching through quite quickly, suddenly I spotted it! Fairly easy find (Good thing it didn't take longer!), but cache is in very bad condition, there is no lid to the container so it is not weather proof anymore. Also there isn't so much as a log inside as much as it is just random bits of note paper that people have left. This cache needs some TLC! Signed it off, and headed back to work. TFTC!

Sezzz and I ducked out at lunchtime to get this one. Was a bit of a rush as I only had / an hour to get there, find the cache and get back to work again! No parking at GZ, so had to park a distance away and walk back to GZ. Co-ords put us on the wrong side of the road, but we figured it was it was on the other side, so headed over there and started our search. I started at one end of "the obvious" feature. Sezzz started further on. She quickly had her hands on the cache which was in poor condition: no lid (so is not waterproof) and just odd scraps of paper for the log. We signed the log in a blank space and returned the cache to its hidey spot. Headed back to work, only a few minutes late.

Definitely needs a new container and log but the CO hash't been active for quite a while so I don't think it's going to happen. Anyway if your still around noie 1234 thanks for the cache.
