Hi everyone, taking this offline for a bit until I find time to pop out and service this cache.
Definitely in the wrong place according to the coordinates! But the photo definitely helped! TFTC!
Dam spent at least an half an hour looking for it nearly gave up when my dad went from a different angle USE THE PHOTO!!!
Took me awhile hunting in the wrong area. Finally read the logs and it was a quick find.
Had a bit of a look around following cords then backtracked and spotted something.
Making the most of a beautiful winters day in school holidays to find some caches around Samford. The kids were happy to stop here for morning tea, a play and a cache hunt.
More and more muggles kept arriving at this little park so we had an extended play session. Eventually everyone else left so we headed into the jungle for the cache.
My phone led us around in circles for a while, making us cross the creek way more times than necessary. Eventually I located a likely GZ (using updated co ords and a previous finders photo).
It was miss 5 who discovered the cache (her second find without any help) and I had the honour of retrieval.
Unfortunately the cache was full of brown, slimey, smelly water. The log was a sodden mud pile - see photo.
We removed the contents, dried out the container and put in a temporary log.
Thanks for bringing us here. The kids had a great time exploring.

It beat us we couldn't find it the person who put it there should make sure it's in the area
I looked in the original location for awhile before checking g the logs. It still no luck at the new coords.
I had searched for this one before, but it was half hearted and post a recent storm. This time though, I was able to use some info from a previous finder to find the cache. The GPS was bounding under this tree cover too. TFTC Garfield69au

We decided it was time to clean up a few random caches that were leaving green smudges on our map.
This is the beginning ... LOL
Well, you know how there's almost always a 'hard way' & an 'easy way' to do something?
Once again I picked the hard (let's call it the more adventurous) way! LOL ...
Parked roadside & made my way to the creek, being mindful of snakes & other creepy crawlies.
Found GZ easily enough & there was the cache waiting for company.
Made our mark & replaced as found.
Unfortunately the cache contents are rather damp & smelly ...

After a DNF last time, we went back with the .208 co-ordinates and soon spied the likely spot.
The main log is still soggy, but the donated pages in the snap-lock bags are doing fine.

Took a fair while and updated co-it's to find it. Quite waterlogged but a great experience for some family friends to try Geo-caching
Found with help from the photo and corrected coordinates found in the recent logs.
Contents are quite waterlogged. The logbook in this cache is so far gone there's no way anyone could sign it anymore. May need a new, waterproof container; REALLY needs a new log.
Took a bit but thanks to updated coords no problem in the end. Alas, the log is a soggy, rotten mess.
Gps had us in the wrong direction but with a little more hunting here it is. TYFTC.
Should have checked the previous logs for the coordinate off-set and to bring in a new log. Thinking I'd have to come back to collect, found an obvious spot for a hide that fitted the clues. Found log writable but very soaked and needing a replacement. TFTC Garfield69au
Having previously visited and searched but been fruitless, I came back due to a hike I was doing nearby. With the updated coords, the find was a cinch, it certainly is a fair way from the previous GZ. No wonder so many had trouble finding it. Thanks to those who updated the coords.

This cache was found in average condition, and adds to our total of 2301 smilies. Needs a new log book as the current one is sodden and needs replacing. Didn't have one on me, next finder might like to bring one. Thanks **Garfield69au** for showing us this spot. Discover our trackable TGQNRV

Thankfully I had read some logs before visiting today so I was aware beforehand that the coordinates were out. That didn't stop me searching in the wrong place first up. Once I put in the amended coordinates the cache was quickly found as well as the sopping logbook. TFTC
I have seen this cache with the interesting title for some time and I am glad I had reason to be out this way today so I could pick it up. Arriving at what my gpsr said was the right spot, my search was fruitless. Then I read previous log with corrected coords and I changed my search to a different locale. I then spotted container rather quickly. Last time I saw fungus like what was on the logbook was when I was in university chemistry class. Logbook was so disgusting I just put my name on the inside front cover. TFTC Garfield69au.
Found eventually. Photo from Colleenburger helped to find the right spot. Cache in poor condition, logbook drenched. South seconds coordinate should be .208, not .218.
Tricky spot to find because it isn't where the marker is in the app. Right on the edge of the creek in an unusual tree. Check the hunt for more clues.
So as is often the case I come in here without reading much about the cache. I soon realised nothing was showing up so took a look at the hint, and another check but nothing. Then Took a bit more of a at some logs and realised that things were a little further out. But that radius and this area proved to give heaps of options. Thankfully after only a few minutes going around in an arc, I discovered the cache. I got my name in the wet log book barely. While the GPSr was capturing some coords, not saying they are perfect but they will get you a lot closer to the cache.

As others have said previous, coordinates are a bit off and the cache is pretty water logged. Nice park nonetheless!
As I headed in toward gz I noticed a tree nearby and thought it was probably similar to what I would be looking for but I was still 25 metres away. I headed in towards gz and searched around but couldn't find anything.
I had a look at previous logs and saw the comments about the coords being out by about 20 metres. I circled back around the 20 metre mark and sure enough, the tree that had caught my eye on the way in was the one I needed. Coords are definitely out by 19-20 metres.
The log book is very slimy and wet and needs replacing. I just opened it to a random page and wrote my name and the date for fear it would fall apart if I handled it too much.Unfortunately I didn't have a spare logsheet on me either.

Wednesday. Mrs Slow Puncture was out picking up a few straggler caches.
So, third or fourth time here. You lose count after a while. Using some reliable intel from a couple of finders we know well, Kerry searched in spots that had little to do with where the co-ords would have you go. And there it was. WET as buggery [xx(] Probably not much more to be said - really glad to have this off the books...
This was the 1st of 2 caches found on this trip.
Thanks [Blue]Garfield69au[/Blue], for showing us this place. Again. And again... [B)]

We emptied water from cache and aired out plastic bag but still requires maintenance could not do much about the smell thanks
GPS had us 19metres away from GZ but thanks to Geograndad s eagle eyes cache was located , it looks like previous weeks down pour has not done it any favours completely water logged and very smelly TFTC
2nd time lucky. This time I stood a couple metres out of the tree line and counted my way in. TFTC
Didn't find it but I'm totally okay with that, this is a beautiful spot, I'll be bringing the dogs to have a paddle once it warms up again!
After doing the Palm Gully cache, Misssusan, Lisylou, LuckyLotte and myself decided to do a few caches on our way home. We searched for a while with no luck. We were nearly going to give up due to the DNFs but then decided to just look over there. Lisylou made the find. The coords are about 20m out and you don't need to cross the creek. TFTC!
This cache was very unloved with no finds for over a year! We hunted around and expanded our search area to eventually make the find!!!!!!
The co-ordinates were out and we crossed the creek when we didnt need to. We all went and had a play on the park which was fun!
The cache is most certainly there though somewhat off from gz about 20 metres. We crossed the creek and explored what we thought looked like a good spot. Such a pretty area. As I was coming back almost giving up I spotted something and I thought I'm going to check that out so across I went and there it was. Almost a year and no finds.. wow here it is, a little wet inside, I tipped out the water but the log was bagged wnd still dry so all is good here. Tftc
Out for an Easter Sunday caching adventure with Angela & Dave, around the Samford/Mt Nebo area.
Well, in line with all of the previous efforts in the last 15 months (bar one!) we scoured far and wide and back again but had to finally admit defeat.

This one is really hard I hope the recent heavy rain did not impact it. 4 in the team and did not see a thing
I had been watching this cache for a while so when the cache was replaced Geo daughter and I headed across to find but had to log a dnf. Not to be deterred I tried again but still no luck. I kept watching hoping someone would find to give me some hope but probably due to previous logs no one seemed to be looking. Had a little time today and what do you know with geo son in tow it was third time lucky. This time I gave the phone gps to him and off he went. Armed with only a stick and the hint I started a search and was lucky enough to stumble upon it. Geo son was no where to be seen but I do believe he was my lucky charm today as my approach was from the opposite direction to the last time. With much relief and satisfaction we signed the log. Thanks for the hunt Garfield69au. Finding this cache has made my day.
Previous hunter found gps jumped around. Checked the hot. Looked wide and round. Sorry to say no luck for us today. Will he back when have more time.
A great little park, but unfortunately, we could not find the cache down there under the trees. Many places to search, and the GPS was bouncing quite badly under the trees. Gave up after about 20 minutes searching as the kids were getting a little bored! Will come back again one day.
muggle friend and i went out for the day
she had camera
i had GPS
it would appear this cache is definitely not here
and looks like the CO is no longer caching
might be time to open the area up to a local who would like us to visit this beautiful spot

Have been bad out to this cache and it appears to have been muggled so I have replaced it. Same spot, and he container is a cammo screw top. Please recover well!
Apologies for all those DNFs!
Apologies for all those DNFs!
Came away with only shoes full of sand and grit. GPS couldn't zone in on any one area so checked everywhere and no luck.
Two sets of eyes & 3 GPS devices but no luck.
Pretty sure we were where it should have been but looks like its flooded recently.

Saw what I thought was the likely spot, but nothing. That's what I get for not reading the logs first -.- also had to use the rest room there, this was an experience for sure
Would avoid it if possible for those future hunters !
Would avoid it if possible for those future hunters !
Either it had been washed away or the difficulty is wrong. Spent a good 45 mins looking to no avail. Bf wet pants, was highlight.
We looked and looked for this cache. Under rocks, in trees, inside logs and under sand. My GPS was a bit odd today so that could have affected it. Sad we didn't find it. I am not sure if it is there but I am still trying to get my head around the name and cannot make the connection?!?!?
No luck here today. Had IolantheK out helping with the hunt, but still nothing. I suspect it may have been washed away in the recent wet
This one nearly had us leave but one last look around by outback Di and it was spotted..tftc
Not Found[Time to Find: 15 min] I like others before me didn't find it. I found some barbed wire, I fell in the creek and kicked by toe. The only thing I found was a golf ball.
Searched and searched but did not find. Collected a nice barb wire injury and gave up Maybe next time.

Well I found the cache... container at least lying open and empty
Have disabled until I get a chance to replace.

Back again, and I had the place to myself so the search was easier It still took me a while as the co-ords were out by maybe 8 metres, and the hint put me off a bit, too. In the end I got it, and I'm very glad no-one was around, as it would have taken a fair bit of explaining TFTC, Garfield69au.
What a perfect day for some caching. This is certainly an interesting hide. A quick look from the right angle soon had the cache spotted. Didn't want to hang around for to long.

Out with Ayepeacee and apc munchkin today. We had been driving all around the forest and were keen to grab this smiley. I had watched this cartoon as a kid. We soon realised where it was located, and it has to be said, I was not keen. The smell was enough to take away my cacher enthusiasm. Nonetheless I searched, and soon gave up and joined apc munchkin patting the horse that had stopped in and hanging out on the swings and running around in the park. Ayepeacee continued for some time looking for this cache but no cigar. Interesting hide Garfield69au. I wonder what possessed you to put the cache here.. a composting establishment and all.. and i wonder if it was still there and tricky, or if its gone.. lots of wonderings. Thanks for bringing us to a pretty cool park though, apc munchkin had an awesome time. ^^
Well what a smart hide! [^] GZ for us wasn't exactly where we found the cache and because our GZ was out a bit, we did extend our search and the hint put us off a bit. No muggles, so I was able to fully explore the area and like the previous log, I also came up with a red soldier but also the cache. The size of the container surprised me, well done on this clever hide.

Searched everywhere for this one, but no luck. I must have looked stupid crawling around here, as a Moreton Bay Council worker wandered over to ask me what I was doing. Had a chat and introduced him to geocaching.
Made a PAF to a recent finder to confirm the search area and seems I was right. All I found was a red toy soldier

Arrived at this one and quickly had the container in hand. On the way out a muggle said to us "did you find it" A new cacher by the name 5 finds introduced himself and said this was his first find . Welcome to the world of caching. TFTC
A very nice little park with a useful facility available. Our new caching buddy we met at GZ pointed out that it looked a little odd when the 5 of us and Zack all emerged from the Stair-mobile and began moving purposefully in that direction at once. Mr GS and I were happy to clock up another smiley and meet Mr 5Finds as well. TFTC garf!

Pulled up at this one after heading down from Mt. Glorious and first port of call was the swings. After a go on them I headed off to find the cache. Hint in mind, the head went down and soon spotted the cache. Interestingly it is not an eclipse tin but a small bottle. Had the logbook in it though so signed and replaced. As I was pulling out in the car the Herbzmobile pulled in. TFTC Garfield69au
We were fast on the heels of Captain Terror. He'd managed to replace the cache before we'd arrived so no help there. Area was muggle free so cache was soon spied. TFTC.
Didn't see any of the biker mice today but I did find the cache. I can certainly see it being tricky at certain times but fortunately not today =)
TNLNSL. log nice and dry.
Thanks

Lucky, got this on a rainy day, would definitely be busy when fine. Lid was hard to replace securely. Thanks
Found while out on a drive round the Mt Nebo Road circuit. A bit of muggle avoidance required but patience paid off. Thanks for the cache, Andrew and Maryan.
Last in a series of five found today with aandm. More accessible than the others . New logbook dry but signed paper with previous logs anyway. TFTC.
Found after a little search. Log mangy. Replaced with new log and signed log paper. TNLN TFTC Thanks Garfield69au
