Had some time to kill while Master Jacksonz did his restricted driving test. Chose each path correctly to get to GZ, but the cache wasn't findable. Then I checked old logs and realised that it appears to have gone. Glad it was the school holidays. Lurking in the bushes behind a school is not a good look.
Found the tree with the v and did a thorough search of about 3 metre radius. No luck.
We spent a while searching for this one, couldnt find the hint item and searching the area didnt result in anything either. Not for us this time
Found this cache on the 9th March. We walked through the school on the weekend and there was a very serious tennis match going on! Was a great find for the kids!
Tftc. My device was out by some meters but after a quick search and some bundu bashing I found it well hidden behind the tree. Nice little hidden, slightly overgrown, paths.
Difficult, but not too far off the beaten track. Don't pay much attention to the hint!
Sincere apologies for the very late log. Found on my NZ MEGA (Auckland 2013) trip with mtbikeroz, my Dad. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time travelling around Auckland and the North Island, going on some great walks and adventures and finding some great caches. Apologies again - if you have any queries or questions, please contact mtbikeroz direct via his profile. (all our finds are on the same date) Thanks.
Hmmm, trees and wood everywhere. We came in from the carpark to the South and followed tracks everywhere, even short-circuiting between loops of tracks on 2 occasions. Eventually got to the GZ area. Found the hint amusing......which one! [xx(][xx(][xx(][xx(]
FINALLY after 20 mins searching Found it - WELL BURIED! (at one of the many hints [xx(]) Signed log, then replaced, but covered it up well - beside the same ! [xx(] Thanks for a nice little wander in the forest.

Auckland Mega 2013...
Our only DNF and disappointment this weekend. The cache is probably there, but way too many 'vs' to make the hint reliable. Searched for ages.

Ran up here after the okura mega walk (yea... I know) and had a good look around but too many muggles, too many hint items and I was a tad tired.
Parked where indicated the got to a T junction, we took the long path on the way to the cache but luckily the shorter route on the way back. Searched for what seemed like ages, all over the show, and we were about to give up when all of a sudden there was a thud from beneath. Wooohooo!!! tftc

Couldn't find this one and was running out of light. Will attempt another time

Yaaaaay we found it and we are over the moon. A bit of a mission even had a spade but totally worth it.
Ended up taking the right paths, but ended up not able to find the cache! First struggled to find the hint object, and once I found one, struggled to find a cache! Haha.
Had to hurry up and find this one, as I was running out of time, running out of light, and the gps batts. were just about exhausted. Found it just as I was about to give up. (Batts. gave out 5 mins later). What lovely well maintained tracks in here. Must come back and explore the area properly one day.
Third time lucky on this cache even need to PAF to point me in the right direction great hide TFTC.
Replaced the Geocache with a fresh dry one.

Cache and contents completely waterlogged. Emptied out water and put in temporary sheet of paper.
Thought I would have a look for this one despite not being logged as found for six months. Number of neat bush pathways here. Cache was fairly easily found but was completely water-logged. Logbook absolutely saturated and unuseable. Left a signed sheet of paper but this will not last long as I had no spare plastic bag with me. TFTC.
Came to Auckland to watch SA/Namibia in the RWC and this just happened to be at the end of my friend's garden. TFTC
No worries getting the right track to GZ. Got to GZ and GPS had us walking around in circles with the tree cover overhead. We searched high and low for this one but just couldn't seem to find it. Its amazing how many trees at GZ actually have a "V" in them. Searched all around but with dense undergrowth and no one claiming a find since February made it very hard to locate.
Dark walk after dinner at Serenghetti. Nom. This was our 200th cache yay for milestones. Good thing we had an LED lantern in the car. TFTC
Hard to find, as previous person had buried it in quite a lot of branches and leaves. TFTC

Tree with the V???? Hmmm...have no idea what this refers to. Searched everywhere but nothing seemed to match that description.
Put us down for a DNF on this one.

On the point of giving up, then bingo! Thanks for a nice bush walk and hide.
[ At 1515 NZST. Nice walk although a 'bit soggy' under foot. Nicely sheltered from the wild wind too ! A nice easy find. Thanks "Zork', another good-one. TFTC ]
I took the wrong path to start with so found myself having to cut through a couple of times, each time finding myself on another path. I did eventually end up in the right general area but did not manage to figure out which item was being referred to in the clue. That made it a bit difficult so, with it being not far from dusk, unfortunately I had to call off the search. PS I went to that school too, but way back in the mid 70s.
Nice wild park.
Did we take the right track? Of course not. Did on the way back though.
Took a little while to find as the GSPr wasn't playing in the trees.
Thanks, Robmc.

Nice little reserve which are always preferable to visit than roadside caches.
Found the tree and then the cache.
Good sized too.
Thanks

Well I took the wrong track, had to climb under a few fallen trees, however after a wee while the cache was in hand. Nice little area of bush. Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers. TFTC
Enjoyed the stroll through this pleasant ponga paradise. Took the correct track fortunatly and the cache was soon in hand. Thanks
Second time lucky, I am sure I looked here before, doesn't matter - one less on my DNF list

One of those caches that have been sitting on our DNF list for far too long, the last time we were looking for this one at night, this time at 7am, much better time, no muggles around at that time either, found after a 5 minute search, 2 very happy people!!!

DNF looked around, after a while all trees looked the same, this one goes on my DNF list - maybe one day
Nice walk up to cache. Very exposed container, so left a little more concealed. SL TFTC
I live opposite this cache and this was my first one. Got caught out at first as there is an indistinct path to the East leading off from the last school corner. Realised my mistake as I frequently walk over this terrain. Surprisingly the cache was intact in that the path is frequented by hordes of schoolchildre
Out with the Cabhassett today. We made this one much harder than it should have been by choosing the wrong path! Once on track, a quick find. TFTC
We got a bit lost with this one, entered the bush from the wrong side and after a long search the cache was eventually found by Hastingus with whom we were out caching for the afternoon. We were way down in the gully covered in scratches and dirt (not quite that bad), and then noticed the terrain and difficulty on the listing only 1 and 1/2, which confirmed we were definitley in the wrong place. A lot of fun though. TFTC
Nice walk through the bush and not too hard to find. The kids from the intermediate used to come down in the bush for a "pash" back in the day (probably still do!) TFTC.
Spend a bit of time looking for this one and was just about to leave when I eventually found it. GPS had me too high up the path initially. Called the kids and let them "Find" the cache. TFTC
Some school kids were leaving GZ just as we arrived. Cache was quite exposed, and had possibly caught their interest. Recovered and replaced as best I could.
We entered the GZ from the lower end and climbed up to find this nicely hidden gem. Out caching with BookwormMum, Kidkiwi, Indiana Jill and Kayaknkiwi on this sunny day. TNLN. TFTC!
Nice camo! L TB from USA that wanted to be where rainbows were likely. No rainbwos today though there were vintage planes flying in formation and a huge regatta of butterfly boats down by the Tor. Nice walk, though our wheelchair couldn't make it. Wish we'd approached from the top! Terrain rating should be tougher if parking S & on the street. TFTC. What a gem!

Had a great time sprinting through the reserve trying to find GZ before I ran out of daylight!! Well hidden, clue helped a lot. Took Travel Mickey TB, added silver keyring. TFTC
By chance we took the most direct track. Nice little patch of bush. Found the cache without too much difficulty. Thanks.
Dropped off Fireman Mickey TB.

Woke up the guard dog as I passed the entrance to the park. Went the long way round and when I saw a sign saying "Surveillance cameras in operation" I realised I had gone too far and had to wait for the GPS to settle down.
Soon had the cache in hand and removed the TB.
Cheers for the cache.

Took the long way round, so did a nice long walk with this one. Very pleasant. SL. TNLN. TFTC.
Spent many hours playing in this bush, when it was still part of the intermediate schools property. The paths weren't boarded and graveled as know, and there were many more. Girlfriends and I named a lot of the tracks, we understand that some of the names continued for years after. The one the cache is on was the 'ridge' track. Thanks for bring me back here for the memories. - Submerine eraser, + Stickettes & Woggling TB
Just which path do we take? Luckliy we chose the correct one first so didn't take too long to locate the cache. Out small nametag, in National Bank eraser. T4TC.
Find #3 of 9 of today's cache dash to my first 100 finds! Yay!
Grabbed Bunya's Bad Andy GC and fishy weight TB to move on.

Located travel bug in "behind the wee brown loggie" (GC1ER72) and have placed in Hidden gem. Unfortunately the tracking number doesn't seem to work so can't log. Someone smarter than me may be able to do it. Thanks

Great cache spot.
Went school here in the 80's , couldn't find the wooden play fort that used to be here.
Might be looking in the wrong area.
Had a glance around the school before a longish search for the cache.
Coords good but well hidden , glad i brought the 60CSX.

Was in the area working so decided to give this one ago. Hmm hidden gem alright. Once I got on the right path I was away. I made this one a bit harder than it should have been. The time was ticking, and should be on my way to a meeting, but was in the GZ, so I guess the meeting had to wait, hmmm. Enjoyed the walk and nice tracks. Thanks for bringing me here!

Coming from Walnut Walk there were indeed several options to walk to this one. Kids used to go to school here. Thanks for the cache. Picked up Micra Man's Satellite geocoin: very interesting!
We needed 2 attempts to get the goods. Took Xplorz with us this time so there would be more eyes on the ground!
Met up with Psycern while we were filling in the log.

A quick dash into the reserve at dark, although there was enough light from the nearby lamp to sign the log with. Cheers Gav [2392]
Left it to late the first time and was to dark, but found quickly the second time. K & R
Took the right track with a quick find at the top. Kids were convinced that Hobo's live in the area, but despite me calling out to all Hobo's to show themselves, none appeared.
