Amazing spot with amazing views Found with mandapanda and the girls Cache was very wet as was the log
As I left Mapleton I planned to target the caches along this road all the way to Kenilworth. Here it took me way too long. Was starting to get frustrated until I checked a spot I had already checked twice; how did I miss that? Thanks for bringing me to this great view Konie!
In Mapleton house sitting a cranky old cat til new years eve. Today decided to drive circuit from Mapleton, Montville, Maleny, Kenilworth and back to Mapeton. We scored 1 part AdLab in Montville and 5 parts in Kenilworth. 6 finds, some of which were solved puzzles, and 2 DNFsLast one for the day, what a view. Thanks for that Konie. The container held water, which I released. And a rather drowne little yellow chicken, which had disoloured the water. I removed that as well, signed the wet log, admired the view and moved on.
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location. (HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do. [:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort. Devilish Brilliant and Clever I like it Another one off the list TTBLNSL TFTC/TFTH/TFBUH - Green Team 2 [^]
My sister was doing the Blackall100 run through the national park and so my wife and I were driving my mum from Mapleton to the various check points. On the drive we took the opportunity to find the hide and enjoy the view. tftc
For the second week in a row I jumped in the Geo van and headed north for a few days of caching. I spent Friday night staying near the glass house mountains and worked my way north parking at Mapleton for a few reds and lovely steak at the public house, before kicking off the day with a few traditionals
After making my way to ground zero I quickly spied the hide, which I soon extracted and made my mark on the log. The cache was quickly replaced into its hides hole and I was soon on my way.
A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.
Cheers

After seeing some photos online and how lovely the area is, I decided to go for a quick afternoon blast up to Coolabine and sort out the geocaches there. As always, it was an enjoyable drive through the Hinterland, then up the back towards and past Kenilworth. Having done the series along Coolabine Creek Road, I could now just head home-ish, which meant east for now.
Many times I've driven this road. It always struck me how bendy and small it was considering it seems to be a reasonably main connection between centres. But I had somehow completely neglected to notice an older geocache here too. Well, we'll sort that out today.
Once again, up the bendy hill. In my tiny car, it was slow in one place, but that's nothing new, and provides more chance to look out the windows and appreciate the world. Nearing GZ, I was surprised there's a tiny carpark here. Never noticed that before!
I got out and bugger me, there's a tiny walking trail. Alas, this is the kind of thing only a local would know about. Said it before, geocaching is the most effective transfer of local knowledge going! I followed the little track to the lookout.
Yeah, I get why there's a tiny carpark and tiny trail to this lookout. Very worth stopping at - though I'm sure vanishingly few do. Suckers.
For some time I just watched the views of the valley before thinking about the geocache. When I did though, it was a quick lap of the rock and easy find in an obvious-to-a-geocacher location. All good inside, so signed the logbook at 15:25 and replaced as found. This was so worth stopping at! Thanks for showing it to me, Konie

Found with Duppers, E-Smiley, Ardom, Georode & DeafPhantom while in the area for the event hosted by Dahumbug today. TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF.
After meeting at GZ for a nearby event, a few of us set off for some nearby caches. Rain was intermittent today, so the view here wasn’t as clear as it could have been, but still lovely. Cache was found as per the hint. TFTC Konie
Doing a loop in the glorious country out here, picking up just a few selected caches along the way

Konie I found your cache Valley Views on 31/7/2022, 2:10 pm. This is my find 3873 and find # 1 today. A quick and easy find. Great views. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Today, the primary plan was the hike up Kenilworth Bluff. An early departure had me driving via Montville, detouring past the northern side of Lake Baroon to check out the spillway. I then made a few driveby stops before arriving and setting off on our group hike and attending the *A Worthy Bluff Bug Bash* Event. It was a long walk around the bluff's plateau to the extent of the nature reserve, before returning back just as the light began to fade. I then made the drive back home connecting to the M1 highway via Gheerulla, following the quickest route.
I stupidly took the direct line approach to this cache, despite seeing a few rock boulders and steep cliffs. I did deviate slightly to the north-west finding a shallower way to get up, only to then be greeted by a nicely laid path. It was then much easier in following that to GZ, where the cache was found in a logical hiding nook. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Great views from this spot, and I made sure to take the easier way back to my car. Thanks Konie for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was nice to have found this oldie 04/2008 hidden cache, of which is one of Queensland's 1000 oldest yet active geocaches.

I enjoyed stopping by this quaint little look out. Cache container was a bit sparse - only contained log so I added a spare writing implement as I didn't have my bag of geocache trinkets with me. TFTC

An early morning drive up to this most beautiful scenic part of the Sunshine Coast for the third time this week.
Beautiful views up here but no luck with locating the cache, not sure where the last finder placed the cache that was left sitting out in the open when he found it.
Thanks for placing this cache Konie.

Cache was sitting in open on top of a rock so I hope I’ve hidden it back in the correct location. There’s not many options. I’m on day 2 of a 2-day cycle tour and the climb up the Obi Obi Road was daunting. But the road is currently being worked on and traffic control we’re concerned for my safety so they drove me up to this lookout. Bonus! TFTC
23/05/21 beautiful view. Took a moment to enjoy the sunset and meditate (and search for cache ) #TimeToRemember #NPCW21
What a lovely spot this was, made a quick find and snapped a picture of the overcast morning before heading off again.
Pity the cloudy conditions ruined all the viewing opportunities on offer on our trip to Gympie for an event. Everything has had a good drenching from the last few day's rain.
Decided on this route to collect a few of the Qld oldest's 1,000 for a newly published challenge. Nothing like rousing a few oldies that are all rugged up and dozing. Thanks for maintaining this oldie Konie.

Our last day at Cooroy, caching in the Kenilworth & Mapleton area today.
The country side is very green with long grass after the recent rains. Lots of windy roads today.
We found a variety of caches & finishe off 1 AL rhat we started about a month ago.
A great morning out visiting your area.
Magnificant views from here, worth a FP

We've stopped off in Kenilworth, and plan to base ourselves here for a few days before heading to the Dayboro Mega Event.
Today we headed off to Mapleton to do an Adventure Lab as well as logging a few Traditional caches on our journey.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache within a few metres of where our GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Nothing
Thank you for adding to our adventure.

Ian & Penny

A lovely day out in Mapleton, Kenilworth and Bouloumba. Targetting ALs, whereigos, challenges and old caches. And solve puzzles. Ha! We basically targetted them all. Completed a geoart, two labs, two whereigos and a whole lot of 4wd'ing.
It was hot as hades and about as humid as a cheap tent after a summer storm. Yikes. But was a good day overall and I enjoyed each and every cache.

After a great weekend event it was time to head back home, I had a plan to grab a couple of caches along the way home and I offered the invitation to 4hawkers.
With my little list we set forth, taking the old highway home and over to Mapleton. With a very nice and scenic drive up the mountain it was fine until I meet up with a car that was going just faster than a snail. So I pulled over to grab this one which wasn’t on the list but very glad to add it. Cache was found very quickly and with no hurry due to the slow driver ahead we sat and took in the views, what an awesome view.
With the log signed and cache replaced it was onto the next on the list. Thank you for placing this one here, gets a favourite point from me, all good with this cache.

Following someone up the hill who was going so slow that I thought I was going to start rolling backwards!! So rather than persevering with that car... Chamad decided we should stop for a cache to give the other car time to get up the hill
Fantastic view from GZ. Easy find. Cache is in good condition but log is a collection of loose scraps of paper. TFTC
Geo friendly ptr and I were having a day of sightseeing and I pulled over here to let a long line of cars pass us. The location looked ripe for a cache so out came the phone and I was presented with a familiar green icon only a short distance away. The two muggles a few metres from GZ ignored me and I was able to grab the cache, sign the log and rehide it. Gorgeous view. Thank you for placing a cache here.

Slowly increasing our return to caching after my recent hip replacement surgery.
We managed 18 finds today so it shouldn't be too long before Vegan Cachers (VC) are back in full swing! LOL ...
#6 of 18 found today.
Took a few minutes to admire the views & enjoy the breeze before making a quick find here.
Took some happy snaps for posterity.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

Saturday. Oh gosh! There had been a shower of rain here whilst we were on our way through. We missed the rain, but got to see some of the lovely little puddles left behind. What a great spot here! I will be bringing Mr SP back here for a look-see. Que Sera and myself were on our way home today and as there was no definite road picked out to come home, managed to find this one and ever so glad we did! Amazing little spot here. Would never have found this spot if I hadn’t taken up geocaching. Amazing views and this one deserves a FP. This was our last cache find for today – what an amazing spot to finish up on!
This was the 6th of 6 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***Konie***, for showing us this place.

Mrs slow puncture and I were on our way home from boolumba creek.we decided to pick up some smileys on the way home. This was our last cache for the day and what a great one to end our day. This is what geocaching is about. Taking us to places you would never know existed if it wasn't for geocaching. This lookout was fantastic with a little seat near gz aswell. Thanks for taking us here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy. Giving it a fp for the great location that not many people would know about. Took photo of storm approaching
Team Ladava are up from Victoria for a bit of R&R so why not find a few local caches.
We felt like some fish and chips tonight but no vendor in Montville so a short drive to Mapleton and what better place to eat than this lookout.

Found @ 1120 hrs #1300
I was working on the area today and unexpectently came across this cache only a short drive away.
It is certainly fitting that this cache, my 1300th find, belongs to a great caching mate called Konie.
This is the first time I've been in this area and is one beautiful spot.

A lovely day for a wee bit of self love and off geocaching I’ve gone. Easy find being a damp day I didn’t stay long to admire the view. Hi from NZ and TFTC
