The GZ needs some time to recover from effects of foot traffic. Will check again soon. Smile

Disabling this cache. The container has gone missing for some reason and GZ has changed somewhat Sad .

The first/original GZ is exposed again but may now be unsuitable for a cache. Will recheck soon. Smile

Seems that this one has eluded me today, I found a few things that matched the hint, including a small spot that a container could have fit in, but nothing that looked like a cache.

Oh well maybe another day.

This cache took us quite some time to find, but after widening our search we found it.

Team LJCC teamed up with Angela for an 'excellent cache adventure' day out. Firing up Blue Thunder we headed from our normal stamping ground to out west.

After a string of wingaap caches coming from the south, we thought "What's this? Who's this?" The answer is PesceVerde. Excellent, a cache by another cacher in the region.

So in we trundled. Promptly into the bush on the wrong side of the fence. So out we trundled again and then in on the correct side. The cache was soon in hand, thank you PV!

We strolled down to have a look at the beautiful secluded park. Whilst we were there, another car rolled up into the parking lot, saw Blue Thunder and/or us, and promptly scooted away again. Perhaps, this park was not currently as secluded as they were hoping for! We will never know...

Out and about, caching with Team LJCC.

We saw this one pop up on the Georadar and turned Blue Thunder in its direction.

Oh! Lookie over there! We headed for the cache first and located it quite quickly, once we found the easiest way in!!

Then, on to look at the water!! Ooohh! Pretty!!

We hung about for a little while, taking some pics and looking up at some birds nests in the trees.

Would have been SO nice to just jump in for a cool swim!!

Out with /dev/gc0c and Net88 heading northbound towards Dayboro grabbing caches along the way and we pulled in to this one. Thanks to Mr. GPSr's limited capability I couldn't match up the 2000 photo to the current area, but nice to look at afterwards and wonder.

We had the area to ourselves - sometimes wishful thinking but not today - and so headed in for the hunt. Once where the GPSr indicated, the cache was a quick find and sign job. All in good condition today. TFTC PesceVerde Smile

23-Aug-13
Found this cache whilst out for the day with Captain Terror and /dev/gc0c. We had originally planned on doing the Samsonvale area but as the day went on we found ourselves further and further north Razz. We pulled up and headed over towards the cache. The Captain and I took different paths in but ended up at the same place anyway. The cache was found without any issues and the logbook is well and dry. Thanks for the cache PesceVerde.

Mooselings were are the movies with Grandma Moose today, so Mrs Moose said, "Use your time wisely." So I went a-caching. How tucked away and hidden is this place? Parked the car and followed the geotrail to gz for an easy find and sign. I then went to the water's edge to admire the serenity. Thanks for bringing me out here PescaVerde

03-Jul-13
Took a little while to figure out which side of the fence we were on (yes, we should read more carefully), but with hint in hand we found the right place and signed the log. All is good with this cache. TFTC.

03-Jul-13
Got in the car, saw a tracker heading our way and quickly drove off to this cache. LOL it wasn't until 200m down the road that we realised we had passed it. After turning around, we discovered the cache is 40m from where we parked the car for the other cache (doh). LOL Smile.

This took a little while to find but the hint helped Smile. All is good with this cache Smile. Found with Matt_Eth Smile. TFTH PesceVerde Smile.

Great day, school holidays and people nearby fishing. My first Australian Geocache thanks for the cache.

23-Jun-13
We pulled into this little spot and quickly made the find, before continuing on to the lakes edge to take a look. We found someone had been camping there overnight, as there was the remnants of a campfire and I felt the coals, which were very slightly warm to touch still. It looks like a great spot for a picnic (not sure if camping is allowed or not) with awesome views across the lake and tucked in away from the road. TFTC

Iwas out and about in the monster truck with the beautiful Brightskies and my mini munchkin. We had found ourselves quite a few caches and this was the next one on our list. Seeing as Brightskies had already found this one she waited with MM in the truck. I waited for a small group of muggles to go past then disappeared into the scrub. A quick search soon had the cache in my hand.

I have been to this little area quite a few times birding. Always a pleasure.

found on my drive from Dayboro to Samford after Dayboro Day celebrations
lovely view out over the water in late afternoon
cache was exposed - i guess no one goes into the bush there - so i covered it better before leaving
this is a good place for a cache, good parking, lovely view, and one can have a geo wee in privateRazz

21-May-12
If you are in to fishing then you could probably spend all day at this picturesque spot.

05-May-12
Had to take a stroll down to the lake (sorry "impoundment" - what an awful word!) whilst some fisher-muggles slowly packed up and after viewing us strangely drove off. Then into the cache, sign and out before the next fishers, "angled" their way up to us.

25-Apr-12
Not too hard to find but had to be careful of muggles picnicking.

Learnt 2 things: 1) Don't wear orange clothes when GCing, 2) use max zoom on GPS to get best directions - walked in a few circles until I realised I could zoom further, then went directly to the spot.

A nice, easy find while on our way down from Mt Mee today Smile. There was a family carrying their picnic down to the lake when we arrived, so after waiting for them to disappear … i swooped Big Grin. The cache is in good condition and dry.
We had already had our picnic lunch at Mt Mee, but this would have been a very nice place to have it well [^]. The kids were asleep in the car, so we couldn't even make our way down to the water Sad … maybe next time. TNLN. Thanks PesceVerde

First day of a new month, and my slide towards OZ MEGA next weekend continues. Nine hundred and something finds so far, should slide in with ease to the one thousandth being the MEGA. Today's goal is to clear the northwest closest two dozen unsmiling boxes off the map.

And at 20kms from home, this is as far in this direction as I'll go today. What a lovely spot - I didn't take a long look, but there were a lot of families gearing up for a lovely day on the shores of the lake. Gorgeous spot.

Thanks for taking me out here PesceVerde. Cache is all good.

Team micra had just had a painful and unsuccessful attempt at hipathihites up the road and needed a cache to boost the ego a bit. Have driven past this park a number of times but have never stopped. Nice little spot. Used the hints for an easy find. Took TB. Left stretchy man. TFTC.

Beautiful lake! The cold wind was making ripples all along it today.
There were 14 black swans our there this afternoon Big Grin
Unlike fisherw0man, I'd never been here, so I thoroughly enjoyed the visit (though I'm sure we all did!)
Cache is all well! Nicely hidden away! I can't believe there used to be no water visable from here! Crazy!
There is some pretty gross rubbish on the road side of the fence... sorry I didn't have appropriate CITO equipment today. I should be better equipped in the future.
Thanks PesceVerde. This was the final for our caching adventures today, and was a lovely location to end on.

12-Jul-11
There's a new small container & logbook now back at GZ. If someone happens to find the previous cache, it's yours if you want it but please let me know (it's bugging me a bit). Hopefully this one will stay put.

After signing the log, check the H2O. Smile
The picnic shelter there is no more.

07-May-11
I was meeting up with Fangsoki nearby and thought "just one more" before heading up Hipathites Road.

After a bit of search I checked the hint. After a bit more of a search I read the logs then stopped searching after reading that even the owner could not find it.

"Wishful thinking" alright. A big old DNF for me.

Nice lake though.

26-Mar-11
Sad Sad...
Couldn't find it, we could see where it should have been,
but looking at the previous logs, there may be a reason why...
Another cacher also found us at GZ and called out to us,
"I found that one a few months ago, Good luck"
...but he kept going to the lake with his grandkids fishing,
pity he didn't introduce himself,
However, thanks for bringing us to this great spot!
...another case of "If it wasn't for geocaching..."
Might I suggest if you can't find your own cache,
maybe you should archive the cache...

22-Oct-10
Called in to check on the cache today and it wasn't there, unless it found a new hidey hole thereabouts. Will have to return and start a real search.
Can I claim a find on my own cache? Hmm?
