There is no immediate problem, but it is painfully evident that the cache is missing AND the owner is missing - last on line June 2012.

this was a disappointment as there was nothing there found 1 dvd laying on the ground owner needs to replace or archive this one
Couldn't find it. We believe we may have found the spot it was put, but it is no longer there.

We looked high, we looked low, we looked in, we looked out, but today there was no way we could work this one out! We extend our search out to 20m from our GZ without any success. We're a tipp'n it's a miss'n.
NOTE TO CO: Lots of sick Grass Trees in the area - can't help but wonder if there is cinnamon fungus around - if so then the cache needs to be removed to prevent further transmission of the fungus on Geocachers footwear.
Thanks for the hunt anyway flyjabiru1 .

See our DNF. Might pay for CO to check this one out and if it is still there perhaps move it because of the fungal disease in the surrounding grass trees, which is spread via transmission of soil on footwear.

This was a frustrating find as it was getting colder as night set in and the GPS could not give us good coordinates. Finally found after what seem a great deal of aimless wandering. Nice dvd collection, only had a whole bunch of our friends' DVDs on us, so thought it best not to swap any! Thanks for bringing us here and for the cache.
Find 1199.

One of the many enjoyable caches we found over a big weekends caching with DazRascal, Blacklegend, Trailrunning & Quasar3671.
Definately love driving through areas that have hundreds of Blackboy plants. A favorite for sure!
With a few eyes on deck and the kids having a good run around, wasnt long before DazRascal came up with the hide.
No DVDs to swap today, but a nice idea.
Really enjoyed the area – a great spot for a cache. Many thanks. TNLN SL

One of 184 cache finds during our "Ballarat Smackdown" weekend of caching on the 23rd to 25th. There were 13 of us including Blacklegend and three of his kids, Trailrunning, Haveanez and their two boys, Dazrascal and myself amd my two boys Tyler and Cooper. We'd spent a few weeks planning the trip, with every Ballarat Puzzle solved in the area, cache lists and road and route maps all ready to go. We stayed in the Miners Retreat Motel for the two nights and the accomodation and facilities were great. Our goal was simple - find as many caches as possible in the time we were here !
We found a great variety of caches and hides during the three days, which also involved a bit of walking and some 4WD fun as well in the state forests north of Ballarat. The weather was quite cold of the Friday and Saturday morning but eventually cleared to nice sunny weather Saturday arvo and Sunday. We all had a great time, especially the kids who did really well to keep up with the pace we were moving.
Our second day of caching and it was to be our biggest day and fullest day too. After the previous two DNF's we were glad to find this one. TFTC.

Found on a weekend cache trip with Haveanez, Trailrunning, Blacklegend and Quasar 3671.
These plants would have to be all time favourite Australia native for me. Love being out bush and amongst them.
Lots of searchers made short work in located the stash of once loved movies. Didn't have any to swap so was a TNLN,
Cheers.

One of 182 caches I personally found during our "Ballarat Smackdown" trip. The trip included teams Quasar3671, Trailrunning, Haveanez, Dazrascal and myself. Caches included around 30 mystery caches, a few earth caches, lots of trads and multis and both day and night caching. Some 4WD action was encountered as well, which was great. All puzzles within 60kms were solved.
I took three of my kids, Jasmine 7yo, James and Jemma 5yo twins, traveling from Tocumwal. The trip covered 3 days and two nights, staying in Ballarat. Quasar3671 took his two boys as did Haveanez. One of the best caching trips I have been on, and certainly lots and lots of finds, almost clearing out the main Ballarat area. Home base was the Miners Retreat motel, which was quite pleasant and quiet.
This was a find on our massive Saturday run, which included both day and night caches. Lunch was a picnic in the bush at one or our cache stops. A night caching run was undertaken after a rest and dinner.
Awesome GZ on this one. Cache still here and intact. Few DVDs in there, but we had none to swap. Kids had fun searching for this one. TFTC.

After a successful Friday evening to start off the “Ballarat Cache Smackdown” with 34 finds on the first day the Saturday was always going to be a day of superhuman effort. It started early with a run heading west and south, only to finish the day and night with a run to the Northwest and North. A great day was had by all because there was some good 4WDing and the weather held out for the day with only one notable shower. A total of 98 caches were collected today, and it shows you how quickly a cache can be located with so many searchers. This cache was one of them. No DVD's to swap. Thanks for cache #73.
Suscoe visited here with Bushfire this morning.
A nice wander in and the cache was soon found.
No swaps for us today.
TNLNSL. Thanks to flyjabiru1 for this great concept cache.

After being in Ballarat two weeks ago it was back today with the suscoe team to add a few more smiley's to my tally. Our aim was to find a few mysteries and others as we passed by.
A good sized cache and a great hide but NI-NO today for me
Thanks flyabiru1 for placing this cache.

Out and about for a walk in the forest, plenty of butterflies still about. No swap made as I didn't have required item with me. Thanks flyjabiru1 for the cache.
H was out for a walk while at linux.conf.au and nabbed this one. Lovely location, dozens of butterflies put a smile on my dial too Didn't have a DVD to swap but left a small item for fun. TFTC

A very slow find as there were spider webs in here. Wasn't organised enough to bring a DVD, however I can recommend to people that the Rottweiler movie in there is good for a laugh: cyborg-Rottweiler LOL!!

More GPS malarky, but all four of us eventually converged on the right spot. Didn't have any DVD's to swap, but had a good laugh at what was in there. Thanks for the hide.
Found along with bogonghazy on a short quick run round the area. Cache was spotted quickly, no swaps were made. Can't remember the last time I swapped ANYTHING in a cache ANYWHERE actually. Isn't it funny, that it just becomes about the number and not the swap..... Thanks to flyjabiru1
Quickly found today on a caching run with Sully1.
No swaps today, poor sully has no time to sit and watch a dvd anyway.
Thanks again flyjabiru1 for another well-themed cache

Had a good look around but no joy. Initially the GPS was jumping around a bit because of tree cover. I then used both my GPS and IPhone and got them down to a couple of meters and looked extensively around but gave up in the end
Took my Dad and dog for their first find. I have fond memories of this bush exploring it as a kid with my pushbike. Cheers
Cool idea but I think the movie quality has dropped over time, these movies make Danny Bonaduce look like Danny DeVito!
this was a great little hiding spot didnt take a dvd as we forgot to take one wish we could have swaped one
The shop was shut I guess. Woul have only been looking - no room for any DVDs on my jog.
A nice day for a short walk through the forest. No swaps for us, but a good cache in a nice location. TFTC!
Found on a quick caching run - found OK but ccould see that it could be a difficult hunt. No swaps, great idea for a cache. TFTC
Great idea for a cache swap, and an ideal container for the purpose. One of those DVDs probably wasn't appropriate for a cache though. T4TC, M@

Took the coin and left nothing, signed the log.

Found at 1715 on an exploration "smash and grab day " of the area with 3up . what a great idea ,but if it caught on it could put the video shops out of business . thanks flyjabiru1
Find # 649 and my 24th for the day @ 17:15 with tackle_head on our "lets head west / smash and grab" day tour.
Co-ords were pretty good considering the overhead. The theme is a good one but being for-warned is to be fore-armed and we weren't and because we didn't have one with us to swap, we didn't take one.
I did however, take a geocoin and dropped one off.
Thanks for the cache flyjabiru1

We were up to our 100th find so wanted to do something special for the occasion. We really enjoyed this one. Took The king and I and put in a double one Silencers and Hologram Man. Thanks.

Tenth of eighteen cache finds for the day, the cache was found at 12:10. Another nice size cache in a nice bush setting, I love these grass tress. Thanks flyjabiru1 for the cache.
I have swapped "Invaders from Mars" & "Abbott and Costello with "Team America" & "The King and I."
Found at 10.00am GAFF1. At GZ the area was covered with pink and white heath - quite amazing really. Never seen so much of it in the one spot. The cache was found after a few circles and on opening the container we realised we had left the BMX Bandits DVD that we wanted to swap back at camp. No matter really, because there wasn't anything in there that we wanted in any case. Thanks flyjabiru1
I had planned to leave this one for a day when I had a DVD with me, but the GPS called out that I was driving by and so I just had to make the dash. I thought a picture might compensate for a swap, but the camera batteries were flat. And then my pen didn't work and I had to walk back to the car to get another.
All in all it was a frustrating find.
Good idea in a nice spot though. There was an eclectic range of DVD's to choose from, for those that want to make a swap.
Dropped in a TB.

Beautiful location, full points for that one. However, I was disappointed with the DVD selection and the tone of other logs suggests I'm not alone. I don't know how you would enforce the quality swap expectation but clearly it is not happening. I hope it doesn't ruin the experience for other finders.
