Unfortunately there wasn't anything to count at the first waypoint, time constraints meant we had to move on. Shame as we had been looking forward to this multi.
Like others before me, I didn't spot any Gnomes at the listed co-ords but I did see a friendly couple out the front of their home very nearby [^]
I took a punt on the Final GZ by a process of elimination. Luckily there were only 4 choices coz, you guessed it... it was the last one I chose D-Oh! [:o)]
After some driving time [B)] lol, I did, however find a cache in good condition with dry contents within. Took small heart +ring in bag and left some money {forgetful man's swag }

This cache appears to be in need of owner attention. Many logs suggest items to be counted have been removed. While it is possible to find the cache by deduction and trial and error, it is not the way the cache was designed to be found.
Perhaps it needs to be temporarily disabled by the owner until they have an opportunity to check on the cache and take whatever action is necessary.

Perfect weather for caching to the east of Echuca, in the very good company of the Suscoe duo. We found a variety of caches, learnt a little more local history and visited places we would not have seen were it not for the geo-game.
We felt as if we were led up the garden path here today - nothing reflecting the cache notes at the posted co'ords. We took stock of our options and luckily for us, our first trial was correct.
Thanks cdmark for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Suscoe and Phetlern headed out nice and early today for a terrific day of caching in this area of the state.
It was a magical Spring day, so much sun, a few clouds, a gentle breeze and great company to be with as we headed around the roads.
We had done our preparation, planning the order of caches, sorting out puzzles and printing the multi pages.
Lunch on the road and fair weather, caches to find: what else could you ask for.
Thanks to cdmark for this cache.
Perhaps a check is needed at the listed co-ordinates as there seems to be something missing to our eyes today.
So we took a punt and came up trumps.

Found with NikLibSteph whilst on a day trip from Echuca. Enjoyed the walk down here and took some photos of the beautiful river to remember our visit. Quick find, TNLS. TFTC.
We're out on a day trip on our second last day of holidays. Not being familiar with the area, we found a nice little spot by the river to drop some of our cohorts off to try and catch 'the big one', and as luck would have it, this cache was nearby and we couldn't resist the urge to sneak in a quiet smiley.
We headed to the first coordinates and couldn't seem to find the ornaments we were looking for. After expanding our search a little, we found a spot that could have given us the answer we needed- but the numbers didn't quite match up. So we went with our gut, split the difference and plugged in the coordinates. Checked the distance - meh, not that far - we'll walk.
Mental note to self- thoroughly check coordinates first before setting off - to make sure you are on the right side of the river........!
Quick readjustmemt and we were back on track.
What a lovely area to take a quiet stroll through!
We were starting to get a bit weary and thinking that walking mightn't have been the best idea after all, when we reached our destination. After a quick search, we had the cache in hand.
Log signed (it is a little damp, but still ok) and everything replaced as found.
Now for the walk back.......where did all these flies come from all of a sudden?!?! TFTC

Unfortunately this cache couldn't be completed, as the concrete slab has been cleared of all ornaments
Sewthat, muggle partner, Brodie and I went out to find 2 caches that Sewthat and I hadn't been able to find recently.
We also stopped at a garage sale and blow me down if it wasn't at the house of a local geocacher, Needle in a..., whose Picola alphabet series I had enjoyed doing recently
I was even able to share a hint on one of those two caches with her
Unless mentioned otherwise, please know that your cache and log book was in good condition.
Finally got back here to find this cache, thanks to the kind CO who asisted by telling us how many items had used to be on the concrete, after we sent in a pic taken at the initial coords, so that we could work out where GZ actually was
Today we drove right to GZ and made a very quick find in a nice spot
Now both Barmah and Nathalia are cleaned out

Oh Yeah! Finally found it.......We'd walked past it multiple times but a new visit with different eyes found it in no time. Thanks cdmark
Enjoyed driving around looking for gnomes then suddenly realized that was a red herring. Thought the correct objects were fascinating and drove off to look for gz. Eventually got to the correct area but despite 40 minutes searching we were unsuccessful. Looked on the ground for ages so must have lacked something. Thanks for bringing us to a spot that we would never have known about.
4375 Found by baby&Mrs gopher on our drive to Echuca for the Winter Music Festival at 1400. When we arrive at the first waypoint the numbers just didn't add up. So like finders before us we added one then took the caravan for a run along the creek. the Mrs kept on saying how will you turn around. Answer, like so many times before! we'll worry about that when the time comes. SL Tnx cdmark good to complete another of your hides.
Stop #6 today. Once we overcame a hiccup with the coords for gz, the cache was soon in hand. Thanks for all the Gnome Gnews, thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
A great weekend with an event celebrating "Geocaching Turns 15" (thanks Honeysuckers) One more cache for me and I'm goin gnome.
After several recounts, I kept coming up 1 out on any available option for WP2.
Thanks to my brilliant powers of deduction, I eventually made it to the well stocked hide.[^]

Very interesting gnomes. got the co-ords and off to GZ. where a easy find was welcome as it was getting pretty hot.
Signed and replaced. TFTC. A favourite point from us.

Found with DazRascal and the geokids on our way to collect our new camper trailer from Echuca.
We had attempted this one some time ago but GZ was flooded, so today was the day to mark it off.
We headed to show the geokids the "gnomes" and found a few people having a decent look over them, luckily we didn't really need to stop, so headed off to GZ - the wrong way mind you, so a quick "u-ey" and we were soon at GZ.
The geokids were pumped for a find, but it was a tad snakey for Mrs H, so Daz was sent in first!
A good find here for the geokids in a beaut spot.
Many thanks CDMark - Gnomes are kinda evil and scary looking to be honest.....
TNLN SL. Cheers

What interesting gnomes they have around here, would like to see them make a "Gnome Tree" out of those varieties.
They must be pretty interesting to look at, as there were 3 men clambered around one of the gnomes as we passed. We set off to Gz and soon realised we were on the wrong side so was back around to get to where we needed to be.
TNLN, TFTC, Cheers.

I have tried this before but was unsuccessful because my GPS took me to the wrong side of the river and it was getting late. I was fairly close by in NSW and I wanted to check on a TB at Picola, so I thought I would finish this one. It was well worth the grass seeds and the cobwebs (that are probably at their worst right now). The garden gnomes are so cool. TFTC. LNTN.
Just as well
We all have different taste. We did have to guess the Co- ords but we still managed to find it.
We all have different taste. We did have to guess the Co- ords but we still managed to find it.
First count, we came up with an answer that was not even an option (oops). But a bit of math meddling and we stumbled on the right answer. TFTC
Yes I did search up and down the street before I realised, read back through some of the logs, did the obvious calculation and proceeded to find the cache with very good coordinates. Another one to mark off your list Mr cdmark!
DNF but it was becoming extremely cold and dark. We will be attempting this one again on a much nicer day with more time to spare. At least next time I'll be on the correct aside of the creek.

Where the heck are those gnomes!! But then along came Neville for a chat. It now appears that whatever answer you get you need to add 1. So with our final co-ordinates in the gps we were off to GZ. It was a bit further than expected but a totally worthy destination. We really enjoyed this cache, thanks cdmark.
I don't think that these garden decorations are going to get stolen any time soon. Once at GZ (having passed most of the town having a fish) the cache was a quick find unhampered by the long grass.
Found with Justjessie, great location, but very overgrow with spring grass at the moment. TFTC
Finally found after completing waypoint one a very long time ago, and many fruitless searches at waypoint two. Great day to finally sign the log and mark this one as found! Took whale keyring and tractor for geonephew, left koala keyring and helicopter. TFTC
Our sixth for our day out from Shepparton. What a great [and quite long] walk along the river. An easy find with the growth somewhat down and dry in the winter. We could have driven but being the outdoor type, we really enjoyed this despite the somewhat sore feet when we got back. We did get a second wind and carried on for more caching.

A lazy afternoon spent east of Echuca with Bettyboo3747.
An interesting collection in his backyard, I wonder if they still work?
Inputted the co-ords and went on a longer drive than we expected to a strange spot for a cache.
Glad we brought the machete!
Thanks, Robmc.

# 3160. Robmc and I are spending a few days at Moama in the lead-up to the Anzac Day event on Thursday. Today we are heading eastwards and elsewhere to get some out of the way caches.
Mmm, we didn't know what we were going to find instead of gnomes and actually think I would have preferred gnomes. With GZ appearing to be such a long way from the start we weren't sure we were correct. Didn't like this area at GZ - such long, dry spongy grass and a seemingly impenetrable way in. Got there eventually and came up trumps. Now to beat a hasty retreat. TFTC

With out our snake boots we were not attempting this find in the middle of summer. We would have hed to wade through 7 foot high weeds to search for the cache. Solved the first step though, will return.
After counting the gnomes set of to hopefully find the cache, but finished on the wrong side of the water. Bother. Retraced my route to find a way across. Arrived at where the GPS thought it was, and a most unpromising area it seemed. Headed bravely off the track to beat the spiders to the cache. I was very relievedto sign this log. TFTC
Our very first find - Yay! Took a few trips to find it, the grass was very long but it was exciting to finally achieve. Great day
Tg & cm-train (sisters) have lost their virginity. A bit of mucking around, learning what it's about. 5th, 6th attempt and we got there. Very exciting.
# 215 - Well, they were very interesting garden gnomes! - only in Nathalia we're sure!! We then went off in search of GZ we had quite a lot of trouble working out which side of the river it was on! But after driving in circles for a while (and the campers waving each time!) we were sorted and had the cache in hand in no time. TFTC cdmark
Cache checking post floods in Nathalia. Original cache container now a little worse for wear so unfortunately had to replace with a more traditional sistema. Will post a picture of original cache contained for the memories.
Absolutely blown away!! Arrived at WP1 and was looking at the "Gnomes" when the owner walked across the yard and I said g'day to him. He came over and wife and I had a chat and he asked if we would like to see some more, we said yes and he invited us to see what he had collected. I have never seen a collection anything like this before, not saying what it is (it would spoil the surprise) but we were both blown away with it.
Found the cache, logged it, great spot, just be careful of snakes in the summer months.... TFTC cdmark

This was the most exciting find! However upon finding the container, part of the bottom was broken(aswell as the plastic pocket)and so the log book was partly eaten by critters. TFTC cdmark.

Don't tell anyone, but I am smuggling Gnomes across the state border into NSW today ( 3 of them !! ) [:o]
So, was it coincidence that this cache cropped up just before we made our dash for freedom across the Murray ?
We peered over the fence to count the 'ornaments' ( I think that 'ornaments' might be a misspelling )
The gnomes with me muttered something about the outfits those 'gnomes' were wearing were only good for holding up stage-coaches or mail trains.
In amongst all the bickering the actual number of 'ornaments' became lost
Already approaching the area where the various coordinates lay we headed for option number 'A'.
Hmmm! Nothing.
Option number 'B'....still nothing.
A bit of a drive later and option 'C' was arrived at and .... yep !!... nothing
Option 'D' was the least promising spot of the lot and the arguing and "Told you so's !!" from the backseat gnomes reached deafening proportions
I hopped out to check for a cache anyway and ..... " Hey !! There's someone home here "
You could have cut the silence with a knife [^]
A tune was faintly audible in the background as I signed the logbook..
"There's a fog along the horizon
A strange glow in the sky
And nobody seems to know where you go
And what does it mean?
Oh, is it a dream? "
TFTC [^]
I left the "Best Foot Forward TB" in the cache

#868 @ 11.50am. Found with DestinationOz on our way to Echuca for the day. We had our very own garden gnome - Ignatius is his name. A very well travelled gnome that one! Again a stick had to be employed at GZ as the place was brimming with spiderwebs & with no welding gloves in sight some brave soul had to stick their hand in to retrieve the cache. As it was a white tail was clinging to the cache - alas he didn't last very long. Loved the container - our thanks to cdmark for this amazing cache (found at a time when all the GCA gnomes are racing around on their respective adventures).

A beautiful day and a great activity to do instead of watching the football. This was our last one today and our favourite. TFTC
Wow - they are very interesting 'garden gnomes' and we absolutely loved the cache container. This was a really well done cache - thanks for bringing us here.
We were amazed to see these ornaments here. At least one of those has some serious collection value! It took Mr O to have a "woman's look" to find the rather interesting cache. TFTC cdmark.
Brain was not working, as it took me a while to figure out where the 'ornaments' where, silly me. Loved the final cache. TFTC
Took a little while to find waypoint 1 due to muggle's in the front yards of neighbouring yards once calculated we enjoyed the unusual cache container.

Arrived on site on the Geobike to try and find the mysteriously missing Gnomes, Found some other garden ornaments and the ornamental owner, After explaining the basic concept of geocaching to the property owner, Roostaman 1918 and Fred 1945 arrived on site. We had a great time playing with one of the ornaments after a very kind invitation from the property owner. We had already seen a rather similiar ornament that morning, And this one was complete!
Team Fred6603 decided they would declare war on team Roostaman (its a long story.) Lets just say the next hours tour from the owner made this cache somthing kind of special for all of us, Thats the amazing thing about caching, it opens up so many doors so to speak and sometimes the things behind those doors simply take your breath away.
THIS CAHE was cool by the way and the container a great finnishing touch, Even if I did visit twice with Roostaman perched on the geobike, not a site that is seen every day!
If everyone has as much fun as we did with this cache than you are in for an experience.
TFTC!

Found with BoyRacer after a very interesting tour through the owners collection.
He wanted to know about our treasure hunt & then wanted to show us his treasure.
His was much more interesting & expansive than the ones displayed in his garden.
If he is out the front you really must take up his offer to view the rest of it.
At GZ I had to ditch the caravan & hitch a ride with the racer boy.
A great spot & interesting cache. TNLNSL TFTC,
Roostaman.

what a great cache hide, it took a few attempts at this one as we were over the wrong side ,would be a good easter hunt.!!
placed a travel bug 74E 35H.on this cache.

Back up and running after relocating cache to another part of town. It appears that it had been found in its previous location by muggles but fortunately not vandalised.
Thanks to clueless couple for the heads up with this one. It appears the cache is intact but there was some colourful language in the logbook which might indicate that a non cacher has found the spot. Will relocate when next up there.
interesting read on a bit of information that i wasnt aware was such a problem. loved the cache, however was a bit upset that it had been muggled, but lucky the container was still intact. thanx cdmark for another great cache.
Had another crack at this one and found it no worries. Couldn't find the gnomes mentioned, but took a guess and and found it first try. There is a very nice military collection in the street where the gnomes are located and i was lucky enough to get a tour of the entire collection!!
Another interesting cdmark cache. You don't see garden gnomes of such calibre everyday! Enjoyed the actual hide, it seems it was one right out of the hat! TNLNSL TFTC
Found with Rhinogeo. A very interesting first location and something you wouldn't expect to be there, collected the info quickly and drove to the next location where the cache was found with a surprise!
Thanks for The Cache

Found: 5/04/2009 14:11 . It'd be nice to have such interesting garden furniture at home but I'm not sure they'd fit [:p] ... the final location proved to be a bit more garden gnomish and made for an amusing find

We headed off to the given coordinates and as hard as it may seem we missed these garden ornaments on our first couple of scans, it's amazing how you get tunnel vision. We hope the gnome liberation movement doesn't get hold of these ones as they seem quite content where they are. Once we had the required information we headed off to GZ and loved the camoflague of the container, the expression on CrackerGirl's face was priceless.
TNLNSL
Thanks once again cdmark, CrackerGirl can't wait for gnomes to come up as a subject at trivia.

Found at 1035. Another enjoyable cdmark cache. Interesting garden gnomes on the front lawn and a great cache container at GZ. Thanks cdmark.

BOOM BOOM (and its not Basil Brush) love this guys sense of humour. If I was a little tacker it would be Mummy I want one of those... Now I were a Big Tacker its, Honey I really would love one of those !...So much for waypoint #1. Speaking of sense of humour, cdmark definitely has his own, as finders will find at waypoint #2. Loved it.

Without a doubt, the most potentially dangerous gathering of gnomes we’ve ever seen in a garden! An interesting sight to see. Little38 jumped with fright at GZ and refused to retrieve the cache - very funny indeed! TNLN & SL at 1:10pm. Thanks cdmark for a most amusing cache!
Well done CD, I like the twist that you have created with the detail of this cache at both WP1 & 2.
Very neat.

Found at 2.50pm GAFF1. A nice cache to finish with and leave this very pretty little town. We were taken aback at WPT1 – thought we were supposed to be looking for little things. The final WPT was sort of expected and didn't phase us, however I could see that some might be a bit apprehensive. Thanks cdmark for the research.
Find # 2376 and 12th of the day at 2:45pm. Accompanied by Geodano, Feathertop and Featherdown. We met up with Maccamob again here and were right on their tail and GeoDano raced out the car to beat the Legends (as he put it) to GZ it was quite a sight to see TNLN, Signed Log, Thanx Cdmark....
I would love to have garden gnomes like this in my front yard may be I will come back after dark and knock one off I’m sure the owner won’t notice hahaha. And what a great cache container at gz well done team Garmon a most enjoyable hide
What a surprise this one was. We arrived at WP1 around the same time as maccamob and so surprised by what we saw that we doubled checked with maccamob just to be sure what we were counting. More surprises awaited us at GZ too. An amusing expereince. Thanks
Found by Mary & David at 1445. We became aware over the weekend that this cache had been published, but had no details. Luckily, we met Oenze, GeoDano, Feathertop and Featherdown at the previous cache and they were able to provide the required information. Arrived at the posted coordinates to find that the gnomes were much more unusual than we'd expected. Then it was off to GZ in convoy with Oenze and the others, where GeoDano hit the ground running and found the cache while the rest of us were still disembarking. TNLN. Our thanks yet again to cdmark.
Sometimes you get the totally unexpected out of a cache and this was one of those times.
We gathered the most unusual information at WP1 and couldn't quite believe what we saw here.
What some peope collect is amazing!
Off to GZ in the company of maccamob and a final laugh as I have never seen this type of container in action before!Photos were taken to mark the occasion. Thanks cdmark.

We wandered around WP1 for a while looking for this, but to no avail. In the end we took an educated guess and headed off to GZ.
Luckily enough we were able to find another cache along the way to this one.
A quick look near our guess at GZ and we took another guess. This time we were lucky.
What a fantastic container! The Wenchette was most impressed and had to run it back to the broom-broom to show the Wench.
Re-hidden and then off to the Get Together in Mooroopna.
