Shame .... was hoping to get this ....definitely appears it may have gone due to major pruning ....
After lunch at Dairy Flat decided to head over to Kumeu for Strawberry Ice-creams whilst picking up a few caches on the way. Looks like there has been some work done in this area. New sub-division being created next door. Cache appears to have been removed.
We think this one has been compromised, we think it was located in a tree that we can see has very recently had all its lower branches removed.
This was found on 16th Nov 2012 with my sister cacher 'Lizzie 10' visiting from the UK. came past today and realised we had not logged it. tftc
Was driving past the other day and noticed that the tree branches had been trimmed. I stopped to check and have a look for the cache but it seems lost. I would definitely consider this one out of action for the time being.
I was cache blind on this one and spent 10 minutes searching about before spotting the obvious hide!
Thanks!
Thanks!
An interesting old church and cemetery. Spotted the cache immediately at the perfect coordinates. Thanks for this one.
Found in the fading (very quickly) sunlight. I climbed the tree before I found it with the Cellphone torch. Is very easily spotted from the ground and reached, so my monkey antics were not required.
Getting a bit dark to be geocaching, but I had to stop in for at least one on my way out to Helensville. A great spot and unique cache. Thank you for the find.
An easy find and a lovely walk around taking note of some history on a sunny afternoon. Thanks for placing the cache here TheWonderStuff or we'd never have visited.
Wet walk through the grass and a spot of shake the tree to wet each other was played...but nice easy spot for the cache. On our departure a friendly black cat came to meet us, had a chat and lots of purring & rubbing against our legs...friendly puss. thanks
Cache must have fallen as was lying on the ground very easy to spot as we got to gz. Tried to attach securely. Cute church!
Found originally as part of rebel98 team, now created own account, re-logging as rustynz
Just reading through the logs, its says it was hanging, not when we visited! It was GZ covered with plant material. Lovely old church. On way to Kai Iwi.

Passed this church so many time, today we got to stop. Took a little while to find, well covered, but found in the end. Thanks for bringing us here.
Found it the 2nd time we looked with on tour. The 1st was 2 years ago with no luck! Thanks for the hide.
Today we were more lucky than two years ago finally we found the cache together with cycling kiwis. Thanks for showing this nice church and cemetry.
Hi. Thanks for the cache. Dad and I went out hunting our daily cache trying to keep our sequential days count going. We're on about 20 now. Loving rurally here it's getting harder and harder. Having to trip 20+kms for our nearest unfound cache now makes this hard. Thanks for this one. A nice cache found with a moderate search.
The log was full so we have added a new one.
Cheers.

This one was found rather quickly by the youngest in the team.
Will also need some more logging paper in the near future, as i struggled to find a spot to log my visit.

On our way home to Rotorua after a weekend function and four days of Geocaching.
What a pretty little church. We love wandering around these old cemeteries. Always sad to see so many lives cut short so young. It is the interesting history of the area that captures the imagination. The old pioneers were a tough lot - generally.
While Mrs S was wandering and reading Mr S found, signed and replaced the cache.
Thanks TheWonderStuff

We found this one very quickly but needed some young eyes on the team. A good hide.
This had been our first trip to New Zealand. We spent three weeks here in this amazing country, which is unfortunately quite a short time. We saw a lot of gorgeous places, met very friendly people, could see the different landscapes like deserts, rain forests, glaciers and oceans. And of course animals like Kiwis (never thought that they are so big), dolphins, seals, glow worms, penguins (I love the blue ones). It was hard to say good bye and go back to the winter in Europe.
We hope to come back one time...Greetings from Germany / Switzerland.
On our way back to Auckland we made a stop at this cache. After we got over our timidity entering the cemetery it was a quick find even though the cache was well hidden. Thanks for showing us this nice place.
Thank you for maintaining the cache.

Found as part of my Post Mega northen road trip. Really enjoyed a part of the country I hadn't seen before. Thanks to all those who have placed cacahes to encourage us southerners to come your way!
We looked for this for quite a while until renelm got a divine inspiration.
Logged as RAD together with renelm and aedk.

This one took longer than it should have.. it's all in the name and the description. Two locals were cleaning up fallen wood debris from the nearby trees and they were curious as to what we were doing and thought it sounded fun.. Just as we had decided to give up, I was stricken with inspiration.. and sure enough, there it was

Been a few times to look for this one, this time 9 yr old had it found before i was at the front gate.
When I got to gz had one of those oh dear-this could take a while moments-then commonsense prevailed & a qwik find was made-tftc
Lovely country and views along this highway. Only my second time along this route, with quite a few more caches to find than on my previous visit An enjoyable, and fun trip finding as many as I could.
Many thanks for the hide [^]

What a lovely old church and adjoining cemetery. Very quaint. Took time out to read its history and look at some of the headstones. TFTC.
Found by Lizzie10 and Roger from the UK over visiting my sister and brother- in-law fellow cachers ChrisnDust.Out for a day driving along the west coast and beach to Tea with the Peacocks so popped in here on way back.Lovely little time warp pioneer church, nice little hide.TFTC.
Mrs S went into the Op Shop while I headed for GZ. Found and signed before she emerged from the shop. Had a good look around the graveyard and read some of the headstones. Wonderful history in these parts. TFTC
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
A quick stop this morning on our way up to Atiu Creek Regional Park. A brief search at GZ and the cache was found soon enough. Nice hide, TFTC!

Found over two months ago when we travelled up to Auckland for a long weekend. It's taken us a while to log as we've been busy moving house.
Found while travelling up to Atiu Creek Regional Park with Phasevisitor.

What a peaceful place this area is. The only noise is from the traffic on the main road, even the locals at the cache site were quiet.
Thanks for the cache - wouldn't have driven out to this nice country area otherwise.
Nice wee church and cemetery - always amazing to consider the lives and families that are represented in these places. Had made the find and heading back to the car when the lawn-mower chappie arrived... TFTC
Great little spot for the cache, how convienient!.. Nice restful place for the local residence... TFTC..

Most interesting find. Loved the camo here.Off again in the Geonut with Rednum6 and Red jnr on a geo road trip.
Out at muriwai with evilno9 and decided to continue out this way for a few more finds. Drove up to this one, and quickly found the rite direction to head in. Found the right spot, and the cache was quickly in hand. Definitely a peaceful spot. TFTC.
Out with mel_ramsay today and after grabbing a cache out at Muriwai decided another drive was in order and we headed out here. Decided against entering the Op Shop as it was doing quite well for itself without our cash anyway and went looking for the cache. Quick find in a peaceful little area. TFTC
Out and about with troutfly today picking up a few caches and a power trail. This was one of about 50 I managed to knock off today. Thanks for this cache nicely placed.
Some muggles were watching me as I found this, but when I asked them if they were going to tell anyone, they said "neigh", and snickered, so I think it's safe.
Found it lying on the ground. Lifted it up a little bit. The Italian Job was here...!
Easy find apart from some muggles arriving just as we had worked out where GZ would be. Cache was a bit damp.
Out with Cabhassett today & we did have faith & we did find the cache all safe & sound! TFTC
A beautiful church in a lovely rural setting. Just wish the grass was a bit shorter! TFTC
While on a visit to family down the road we tried our luck with no GPS, didn't have any will try again next time we are up this way.
While having a five weeks' holiday in New Zealand, we lso want to collect a number of caches.
On our way from Auckland to Kataia we a.o. found this one. TFTC.

#935 Out and about rural today. Nice to enjoy this area again, I lived near here as a child. Enjoyed a browse thru the open OP shop too. Wandered off after that to locate the cache and we had faith, it was right there on the ground. Must have dropped out of the sky for us!! God moves in mysterious ways.... It does need a new log and sorry we didn't have one with us, managed to find a space to sign. Also lodged the cache off the ground and hopefully safe and easy to spot. SL TFTC.
