This was a multi solved over a good number of visits to the area. Some lost numbers; some miscalculations, forgetting the continue the stages were just three reasons. Anyway, I found myself not far from the penultimate stage today so made sure to go grab the final numbers which pointed to a GZ not too far away. Slightly put off by the camper nearby, I sidled up to the GZ and ducked in and was pleased to spot the cache neatly tucked away. I moved a discrete distance to sign the log before repeating the process for the return. Thanks Grobyc#5556
**21,659**This was has been waiting a long time for us to complete it - glad to finally been in the area to complete it. We enjoy ANZAC type caches - even if multis aren't our favourite caching type. TFTMC
An interesting runabout it was too. An unexpectedly long walk to the first waypoint and then the mown areas at Anzac Park were nice to see.
Be forewarned the road to the first location carpark, will be closed for months due to potential slip damage following Cyclone Gabrielle. Walking access permitted which adds approximately 1km uphill road walking.
Managed to get a break in the rain when I set out but soon back in the drizzle. Gathered the last set of details and soon had the cache signed and replaced. Did this one over 3 distinct visits over the last 3 or 4 years! Cheers. Its that time of year again when the geocachers migrate to their summer hunting grounds. Flocks of nomadic seekers take to the roads via planes, trains and automobiles (Candy anyone?) and head to new environments. With Pocket queries, and/or GPSs loaded with potential finds the inboxes of cache owners bulge with tales of road trips and new areas and so on. That was us, a 5 day trip up to Whangarei to spend Xmas with our son and family. Not many caches sought, a few finds to keep the fun going .
It was gorby who suggested we do this one, and we collected wp1 on Friday, wp2 Saturday and today wp3 and final.
Enjoyed the multi and the different locations, happy to be signing the log, thanks for the hide

Did this cache over a few days, depending on where we were. Finally manages to get the last stage today along with the cache today on our bike ride. Saw a few of the trees that they planted.
Thanks for the multi cache

While we were at the lookout we started this cache, so as we traveled today and got close to another stage we completed that too. Finding the final was our last cache for the day.
I’d been to two of these locations many times in the past but never the final one. Really nice place. TFTC
Great hide. I’ve been up the mountain hundreds of times and haven’t seen this. Thanks!
I was up in Whangarei for the weekend and this morning was finalising my virtual on Parihaka, so I resumed this multi which I had started a couple of years ago! I knew where WP2 was, but figured I better start this one afresh, so that I had all of the information. Set off to WP2 and quickly worked out WP3, so went for another drive there. Did the final calculations at WP3 then set off in search of the cache, quickly finding it where the hint suggested. All good here after 18 months of not being found. Thanks for the interesting multi - fav point added!
I decided to make a long weekend trip to Auckland region to see my favorite band Halestorm at the Power station Wednesday evening plus visit friends who are moving back to the UK in the next few months. Plus those who attended one of my three events had a bit of a fun surprise. I had tagged a few caches in Auckland and lower Northland which would help with my D/T grid and Jasmer challenge. Its very hard to pass so many good caches as I travelled around but I will do a proper trip before/during the 2020 Auckland Mega, although a week is unlikely to be enough time to make a dent.... oh well need some for training/work trips to the area too. Apologies for the generic log - that's the problem when lone caching - you don't always have time to write a good unique log at the time.
Enjoyed finding this one on my way back south.

Decided to do this one with the kids during the holidays - having recentish pics of the other sites was able to quickly jump to the 3rd site and work out the questions from them(certainly helped not having to drive it). With a little bit of looking cache was located in its snug spot. Signed and placed back. TFTC.
I started this cache ages ago as I was near the first gz at the time. I always meant to get back to it sooner but I also needed a different cache type starting with an A in January for another challenge I'm working on. My January challenge isn't going so well but I did enjoy this multi and the final prize was an easy find. Thanks for the fun multi
Nice quick find after visiting all those memorial spots. Very wet underfoot on the approach, so recommend this one in the dry season. TFTC.
Loved this one common places we visit in whangarei tft easy multi cache enjoyed the journey FP added
Decided to do this one after work today on one of our hottest days so far this year. Thx for taking me to a couple of memorials that I hadn't visited before. I've known about Anzac Rd all my life but didn't realise there was a memorial there.

Out and about with PageHeart getting some of her local caches seen as i was up for the night. This was a fun 4-stage multi that took us for a drive around Whangarei. We checked our answers, and I double checked my workings (I'm just the type of muppet who'll press the wrong number by accident and not notice - I'm doing it right in my head!)
As a bonus PageHeart then sent me off on one of her caches that wasn't able to be published as it was too close to this final. I punched in the coords and off I went. With a bit of a clue from PageHeart I also found that one.. Evil and extremely well done. I hope she gets to put it out elsewhere, I'll enjoy reading the logs!
Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 2 finds of 5 today, making this find #1212

Awesome multi! and a good spot of an end cache. Was nice to go to the different locations. TFTC
ha. I walk through the final location most days (and yet somehow never saw the monument). really enjoyedthe 'runabout'. tftc
New location for 2nd Waypoint, New Puzzle to work out Waypoint and Checked that clues found at Waypoint 2 are correct.
Ready to go Again!
Ready to go Again!
This cache will be reactivated, I am waiting for the local council to open the new location to one of the vital clues to the public so that I can modify the puzzle part to work again.
#341 We completed the first waypoint about three months ago and we finally finished it today. Completed with my two oldest &Co. Lovely driving multi cache. TFT(respectful multi)C.
Edit: As of 2 November 2014, this multi cache can still be completed as is but it is unknown how long until one of the waypoints will be impossible. Recommended as a driving multi cache but start with the discernment that you may need to abandon it.

This one will either have to have a coordinate change, more details given or will need to be unfortunately archived in the near future with the change of the structure second waypoint to another location in town. Though as multicaches are concerned. With the thing not being placed by you with its place change as it's a virtual it will be allowed.
First ever multicache done! And I did it on Anzac Day of all days to discover it and do it.
Finished third and four stage in dark

This multi took me 50mins on Easter Monday - I had driven to the top of Parihaka to look at the view & decided I still had enough time left to at least attempt this.
Because of the public holiday, parking wasn't a problem at WP2 and I pushed on to WP3 and then the final.
Thanks for your effort with this multi, Grobyc.

My first multi cache! It took a while but soon got the hang of it and learnt a lot. TFTC
Thanks for the challenge. We slowly completed this one over a couple of weeks when time allowed.
We enjoyed the runabout to each of the WPs and the final cache location. Thanks for sharing the memorial spots around town TFTC.

This one kept us occupied for most of the day (whilst grabbing a few others along the way). Thank for taking us to a spot we wouldn't have been to otherwise and reminding us to spare a thought for those remembered by these monuments.
Enjoyed this multi seeing the different places it took us to. knew the first 2 and ecpected to find ourselves there but the last had no idea was there or what the significance was. Had done part 1 & 2 a few weeks ago but ran out of time. good to finish it off today. TFTC
Well, we did part one months ago and have taken until today to complete the rest! Final cache in a part of town we hadn't been to before. Two really great views in the process of completing this multi. TFTC.
A great multi! Starting to get the hang of these ones now. Completed over 3 trips to town. Cache was very well concealed, due to length of time it has been undiscovered, but all intact and dry inside. TB out as it's time it moved on. TFTC!!
An interesting and enjoyable little multi thanks. Completed today as worked on this one over three visits to whangarei. Lovely spot . Well worth the effort. TFTF
Found with Riser5's help, didn't realize final location was there, nice little area.TFTC.
Lucky I was driving or that would have been a long walk, Nice locations and good gz, travel bug seems to be mising though. Found with Butters94 and Kenny897
Yay, finally completed it after third visit and with a GPS. Certainly helped!
Interesting cache. Thank you!
Interesting cache. Thank you!
Life is so much easier with a GPS! This multi has been a work in progress over the last few weeks. 2 wee bucks have found it very interesting. TFTC.
A great multi-cache that actually took us a few weeks to complete, with busy things going on. A fantastic day at GZ.
Found with DeadRockFlower and 2 wee bucks sleeping in the car.

Our last Whangarei cache before the drive back to Auckland. A great one to finish off with. From the first waypoint it was interesting to be able to see so many of the places we had been earlier in the day - especially the quarry caches and Hurupaki Mountain. We enjoyed this multi, and had an easy find of the final. Thanks for the farewell tour of the city!

Excellent multi, with one of team being a scout and the other a guide they took great interest in this cache. TFTC
This cache has been on my todo cache list for some time now. Decided to finely do this one and glad it is out of the way now. Realy easy multi to do and the ground at and on the way to GZ was a but soggy but stayed upright and clean. TFTC
Cool Fun. This was the first cache search we have ever done so was a little unprepared in terms of gift so left pen we used and took nothing. Doing this so my son and I have together time and it was great!!! Very satisfying finding the last one. Such a surprise to find it. We want to do another tomorrow.

Started this one last night, but waited till this morning to finish finding all the info. This was an excellent multi, historic and interesting, really enjoyable thanks. Dropped off TB.
3.15pm. A good chase which took us to some new places. Good to be at the high lookout again for starters. Made so much better with a beautiful sunny afternoon. So different to all the rain yesterday. Two hours from start to finish, but we included to other searches in that time - a Find and a DNF. Left three T.B.s.
Thank you. David and Noeline.

Not sure about it taking an hour - maybe in a car, but it took me about 2 on foot and luckily I was given a lift down the hill and quite a way towards the second co-ords! Good fun though, even though I think I will need to sleep for a week to recover!

Thought that it had been muggled from all the debris around, but no. In Geocoin. TFTC
Great night time Cache, took a bit longer than the hour, about three times, could be because it was so dark in the woods. Great fun though and easy finds.
Thanks its the best one I have done so far.

This was a fun one, would never have bothered going to look at these places if it weren't for the cache, so thanks a lot for that.
Nice multi, that covered a bit of distance but didn't take too long. Nice to have a cache component back on Parahaki.

This cache was solved in two days when we successively visited the waypoints. No problems with the riddles and counting. Dodgy final with some stolen/lost stuff lying around. Rala was on her own with Rumo guarding the car, so she felt slightly uneasy.

This took much longer than one hour to complete - maybe because I prefer walking to driving while geocaching. 1st, 3rd and last locations were very nice places to visit.
Thank you for a well planned cache! Found the clues without too much trouble.
Muggles might have thought we were crazy, taking so much interest in some of the monuments but we did not care.
Pleasant way to discover parts of the city we had not visited before.

Nice Tiki-tour around the city (and far to long since I dusted off the GPS). Ground still a bit boggy around the final location (can't think why - it never rains in Northland ). TNLNSL - TFTC and an enjoyable lunchtime in the sun.
I figured I already knew where 2 of the clues would be, but did not know about the park or the trees planted at the final cache. Thanks for showing me a new place! The "runabout" and puzzling was great fun.

I really enjoyed this one, easy clues and I enjoyed how one could not cheat and had to go to all locations.
It is a bit soggy and boggy at the final location however.
