Headed over to Yorkes for some R&R and to Cache...Wow, the Wind and flies are intense!! Okay,,had a nice..ish walk along the beach. I now know what its like inside of a sandblaster. The wind was relentless! Scaled the Dune and grabbed the cache! TFTC
Found the cache after a walk along the beach then trampling up the dunes. Nice and peaceful up this end of the beach.TFTC!
The plan was for ttrogg and The Starfish to pick up Mrs Rat, from her nest. Then it was off to The Yorke Peninsula for Tuesday Trekking. It was a lovely sunny day, filled with adventure and laughter. This was a quick find for the trio of Confused puzzlers. We took a walk along the beach. Then scrambled up the sand dune.Nice views from up here.Soon located the cache and stamped the logbook. Tftc
This tuesday the three Confused Puzzlers met at the Rat's nest then headed west for a day of caching on the Yorke Peninsula with a list of caches to find. By the time we returned to the Nest the list was completed and two more besides. This was one of the ones I wanted. After the short beach walk made our way up to find the cache, and easier way back down to the beach was found. Definitely think it should have more terrain points. Thanks to Rocky Glen Grommets, maintaind by Dazzatron/Margieh, for adding to the playing field with this cache.Cache #14892 for me.*This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).*
Something special or unusual goes here:That dune to get to the cache was a doozey. this cache now qualifies as the most difficult 1.5 star terrain I have ever done. [:o)] One on top and having caught me breath the cache was easily found. Now to get back down! The Generic Bit:Another Tuesday Trekking for some members of a puzzle solving group. [^] This time I met up with Ttrogg and Mrs. S.A. Sewer Rats at the Rat's nest for a trip over to upper Yorke Peninsular. Once again we stopped for a picnic lunch and had a few laughs - usually at my expense as I kept nanna napping on the way there and back- luckily I wasn't driving. [:o)]***Thanks Rocky Glen Grommets for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.
Bit of a hike up the sand dune with, a great view but the cache book is a bit wet. TFTC
Out on our last day in Maitland area with iluvtrekking. Quite chilly but no rain or wind. Returned to area today for walk to gz without the rain of a few days ago. Made the find about 5 mts from where gps indicated. Thanks for the hide.
A delightfully warm, sunny, calm winter’s day had us caching around Chinaman’s Well and Balgowan.
We found the remains of this one 7m from our GZ. We had bought another container and log book with us which we signed and replaced exactly where we found it. Should be good to go for the next little while. We then bought the cache litter home with us.
Many thanks for the hide Rocky Glen Grommets

Headed off to meet up with the froghoppin duo for some copper coastal caching today. A few fun tracks were traversed with our two cars in convoy, the tracks were great, no issues at all. But a little rain tomorrow could change all that
Most of the caches were quick finds and in good health, a couple needed some TLC. Most of the coastline was beautiful and pristine , a couple of spots were sadly turned to dumping grounds. [:(!]
A nice walk along the beach here. Cache was easily located, but could do with a new container.
Sadly we hadn't brought any spares in here with us. Nice to find another RGG cache.
Appreciation to Rocky Glen Grommets for placing and maintaining this cache on our geo map

Do stay safe when caching.
Watch for snakes, random cliffs, wild goats, wombats, bulldust, and lightning,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins... but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]
Make sure Travel Bugs are the only ones you share and pass on
2020 turned into 2020won, and 2020too is on the way! 2020free should see us through
Still important to observe social distancing when possible, (150 nano caches apart should do it)
Still important to wash your hands (always has been really [:o)]
Still very important to look after each other and take precautions & get checked out for even the tiniest sniffle or cough, or unexpected headache! [8)] [B)]
Still even more important to get some fresh air and exercise while we can, so get out and cache the country!
Thanks so much to all those placing caches out and about away from the city crowds,
keeps our game safe and interesting

A day trip with Mattycat to explore some coastal roads with caches and some 4wd practice for Mrs Frog, enjoyed our stroll along the beach and then it was a short hike up the hill to find a sad cache, container needs replacing left upside down to keep the rain out some beautiful views from here

Today, the weather was forecast to be dismal with thunderstorms and a rain drenching! Consequently, gridge98 and I retreated to the more dry vicinity of Upper Yorke Peninsula. Other than a few drizzles, we had good weather. We visited Paskeville, Kadina, Moonta, Balgowan, Point Pearce, Maitland, and Arthurton, with highlights of the mining relics, 4WD-ing along the west coast beach, and finally dinner and heading around Maitland. A long day out and about, arriving home just after midnight.
We made the long walk up the beach, and then up the clifftops. At least the cache was found reasonably quickly at that point, but this cache really does need some maintenance and attention on it! The container is cracked and in very poor condition, and the logbook is water damaged. We thought the terrain rating was on the low side from where it is currently position, in particular that last short distance getting up the dune cliff. Thanks Rocky Glen Grommets for the cache placement, and Dazzatron/Margieh for its ongoing maintenance. Nice views around the place though.

Parked up and made the walk down to GZ, after a short search the cache was found in very bad condition
Today With the weather more promising on the yorke peninsula than in Adelaide, Davidwazza and I decided to head over and clean out as much as we could as well as doing quite a bit of beach 4wdriving.
In total 87 finds within 1 DNF for the day.
Thanks for the Cache

Beautiful area. Lovely stroll along beach. Last bit needed my mountain goat legs. Cache there but all smashed. Thanks
Day 260 (Friday 15th) of our trip. Caching along the way. In Maitland today. A total of 6 for the day and 5489 for the trip. TFTC
The cache has completely broken down from the UV an is wet and open to the elements.
This is also way harder than a T1.5, climbing and getting down the dune as advised. A CO visit is needed.

The cache is in urgent need of attention. Container broken down by the UV. It is open to the elements and wet.
Found whilst Walking the Yorke. 460 kilometres down and only 40 to go. Alas the container has disintegrated and is just a pile of brittle plastic. There is no protection for the log. TFTC
Found during a caching foray on York Peninsula. Unfortunately the cache container is badly damaged (disintegrating under the UV rays). Thanks for the cache RGG, Dazzatron and Margieh!
Couldn’t get up on the dunes, they were just clasping underneath us. Maybe need to be move.
Easy find once at GZ, but climbing the dunes is causing damage. We believe this one should be relocated or archived. TFTC

Found while we spent a couple of days on the peninsula hiding and finding caches, terrain is a lot higher now after the storms have washed away a lot of the dunes. TFTC
Beautiful view to top the story of cuddles- have headed back and replaced container as it had disintegrated.
Out for a fun day caching with LLL51 and Madham02. Had a great time driving down the coast grabbing a few caches along the way. Had a lovely walk along the beach on this beautiful sunny warm day.
Thanks for the cache Rocky Glen Grommets.

Found with my Hero Husband (Moneydork) and a few other cachers on a weekend away. Thanks.
What a weekend!
Set out Saturday with Dennisc52, CPwanderer and Clare007 in Dennisc52's geomobile, accompanied by Moneydork and Tounga in theirs.
We met firesafe over there too.
I bailed ship on Saturday night when Dennisc52 and crew returned home, so that I could continue to cache on Sunday with Laighside Legends, firesafe and Moneydork and Tounga.
By the end of the weekend, I had finished the 'current' geoart on YP and totalled 275 & 3DNFs .
Part 2 of the adventure: Laighside and I had the pleasure of being driven by firesafe to some great caching and historical spots that I had never been to before.
Loved reading about Cuddles! Made me smile at the thought of the smallest pony having a mind of its own and sitting down on the job!
Great walk along the beach that required footwear to be left at the steps and the beach enjoyed in bare feet

After a day yesterday down in southern Yorkes for some power trailing (and other caches as well) it was time for some 4WDing up the west coast with locus cache,Moneydork, Leighside Legend and Tounga, grabbing caches along the way. Thanks to all the cache hiders.
Day two on our coastal exploration between Point Turton and Moonta, beach driving as much as is possible .
A bit of a climb to this one with some locals on the beach near GZ (who knew about caching, but not that there was a cache around here - go figure) . TNLNSL.
Thanks Rocky Glen Grommets.

with Limbage on a very windy day of caching around Balgowan , Pt Victoria , Maitland and Arthurton . Found 23 caches all up ..thanks for the hide.
A small day trip down the western side of the Yorke Peninsula with KarpyKarpyson. Today we collected 21 before the storm hit and drove us home. Not sure how one cannot go slightly cross country to get to this one. Easily spotted from a distance. TFTC
Staying at Maitland Showgrounds for a couple of days, so out on a day trip to Balgowan and surrounds on a lovely sunny winter day. The farmland is all a brilliant green and the sea such an intense blue - what a lovely area. Thanks to all for the caches.
Found as a part of TheKellyGang, writing this as a genaric log as I was a part of TheKellyGang and am now out on my own.

Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring Australia after having attended Oz Mega.
Today we toured from Maitland to Port Vincent then up and around Pearce Point to Chinamans Well then up to The Gap all in company with iluvtrekking.
What a majestic coastline we thoroughly enjoyed the places that Geocaching took us to today. We took way too many photos and will have to cull some! We had the warmest day we have had for a week with the temperature getting to 20degrees! [^] We started the day with gloves and 2 jumpers but ended it in shirt sleeves.
Thanks for placing a cache to help us explore this area. [^]
Boy that was a long walk. Thankfully a smilie for the effort.

Out and about with FelixII exploring the west coast of Yorke Peninsula.
We left the Maitland Show Grounds, where we are staying, and headed off westward to a strikingly beautiful and remote coastline which reminded us in many ways of parts of Western Australia.
Thanks for your cache Rocky Glen Grommets, puff, puff, puff.

A bit windy but cooler than past days, good for caching with friends. Thank you.
Just near the shack i have used at Balgowan for some years. Lovely quiet place. After the long trot to get there i sat down just like Cuddles.
We were staying at The Gap campground and decided to duck out and hunt down a few caches. Beach walking is very scenic but my poor old sneakers have holes and let in all the soft sand - yuck! Oh well, it was worth it to get another smilie on our map. TFTC
Geodad find while Geomum took in the lovley Beach views. while spending a few nights at Wallaroo and catching up with few Cachers at a an Event Held by Dazzatron for us TheKellyGang TFTC
Last one for today - nice walk along the beach, but had to push old geodog up a bit of dune! We're all tired now and heading home for a cuppa. TFTC TNLNSL
A mercy dash down from the The Bamboos after the long drops at The Gap proved to be more of a short drop provided a chance for us to pick up a cache.
Whilst the rest of the group headed back to camp we headed along the beach for a quick find.

An enjoyable caching day around mid and west of Peninsula...Mr Bushies2 went there by himself, armed with a spare cache under his arm then when he climbed up the sand dune, he fell over and hit his side with the cache under arm, hurt his left chest like hell He found the cache and yes it was damaged and useless so he replaced it with another cache. Thanks Rocky Glen Grommets.
As per the log for my visit, I pressed a little too hard - it really wasn't much at all - and the lid is now cracked. Cache has been placed in a manner that will stop most of the water getting in, hopefully.
Sorry about damaging your cache RGG.

A beaut spot. This cache proves that Sistema plastic won't last forever, unfortunately I put a bit too much pressure on the cache lid when I was replacing it and the lid is now cracked.

After waking up early on Sunday morning, we left our rented house in Balgowan and grabbed thi local cache. It felt good to have a run along the beach - we are lacking it slightly in the middle of NSW. TFTC!
The birds in the bushes got quite a fright when I tramped up the hill - in return they scared the living daylights out of me! TFTC

Loved the location of this cache. It is spectacular there. If I were a Premium Member I would give it a Favourite Point without hesitation. So enjoyed walking along that beautiful, pristine, beach. THANK-YOU
WE LOVE CACHING! Look where you end-up!!! Thank-you Rocky Glen Grommets for bringing us to this remote and gorgeous spot. This is truly God's own country. Our absolute favourite cache of the day and our YP visit. The co-ords were spot on for us and it was an easy find. Spent ages admiring the view and then paddling in the ocean. Fav point coming your way courtesy of us. This cache is well worth a visit.
It appears that the co-ords may be out a little but got there in the long run SL TNLN TFTC

Found by Mary & David at 1535. After 'Cunliffe Crest' we now know another of your family stories. Our then-teenage son had a similar experience when taking our Beagle pup to obedience classes. He'd be so embarrassed when Barney had had enough and would just lay down on his back. Loved the walk and the sunshine, with not a soul about. Our thanks again to Rocky Glen Grommets.
Enjoyed the views & the brisk walk along the sand.T shell L roo keyring T RGG for bringing us here- eventually & for the cache

Enjoyable walk along the beach to find a little muggle family sitting right at the spot where the needle swung inland. Never mind. We kept walking and found the cache anyway.
Earlier we had found an attractive shell and I had commented that it would be good to leave in a cache. But of course we didn't bring it to this one - the perfect one to leave it in! So, TNLN. Thank you for bringing us here.
