Looking at all the other pictures it seems we visited on the wrong day!
Great place even when there's a howling gale blowing, well a June one any way.

An interesting walk in the morning sunshine but unfortunately the information place doesn't open before midday. I have since read up more about the area and the Isle of Man in general. Lots of very interesting geology in the area, icluding an ancient plate boundary and a volcanic plug.

Out with the family fresh from our success at Port Erin and this being our third attempt at this, due to having Mini flyingmonkey 'Cooper' with us and it being rather windy, the weather was certainly better today.

The stroll to the cache site was a little tricky with our loan pram as it was obviously not designed for off-road use and we ended up carrying it and Mini most of the wayTwisted.

Have E-mailed owner with, hopefully, the correct answer andposted a few snaps.

Late afternoon visit, muggles doing various activities, away from the Saturday Motorcycle racing in Castletown.
I am afraid that the "dyke in question is a bit large for this bear to plug.

Walked with Mrs. Humphrey to the nice new earthcache: a location that I'd had in mind for an earthcache when they were first invented years ago.
It couldn't have been a finer day for it, and there were throngs of people out on the rocks. A couple of swans had built a nest in what looks like an ideal spot. I know the place very well, but had a more careful look at the fascinating geology. Answer sent: see photos.

Found on a Saturday stroll around Scarlett. Have been coming down here since I was a kid & never gave the place a second thought. Its great to find out a little bit of the history of the Island and how it was formed. I was amazed to read that scarlett started out on the equator!
