Found it! Nice hiding spot! Managed to park within 35m in a nice spot for camping and walk to the cache. TFTC!
A nice straight forward find here this morning, only 9am and already 25C and feeling warm. A few people still at the nearby camping area, close to the train line but was quiet last night where we were so probably okay here. The track down towards the creek would be a good camp area. After a long period of outback, yesterday we turned east at Port Augusta and enjoyed lush greenery and gumtrees of the lower Flinders Rangers as we passed through. Quite a contrast. Having travelled late, we arrived in Manna Hill last night to stay in their towns rest area. Waking to another very different scenery of flat dry country in a little town passed by most travellers, so many trucks, and the odd train. Goats! I love these tiny litte feral goats, it's great to see them as we drive past, yes, the little things amuse me! Took time exploring towns as we passed. Broken Hill kept us way longer than intended or we had time gor, but just made the time. And it was HOT!!! Only 30C but a different heat, still nicer than cold though! We pushed on late into the night, Nyngan was our limit and had a great rest stop facility in town. A good place to stop after a long but great day, thanks fir your cache!
Another long trip around AU over the top end with lots of detours. Now heading back east across the Nullarbor with a stop at Maralinga, Ceduna, Lincoln National Park, Coober Pedy, Oodnadatta, Broken Hill & Orange.TFTC. Saw the rest stop so overshot the GZ. Nice stroll back.
Heading to QLD from WA picking up a few LGAs on the way. Thanks COs for placing and maintaining late post sorry
Been working around Canungra for a couple of months and on the road back home to Manda in Adelaide. Wa raining too much to hop out when I went past a while back so stopped here for a quick cache grab on the way past. Three spiders guarding the treasure - tried hard not to think of Lord of the Rings as I reached for the container. TFTC
Those golden orbs were off putting but we put our big girl pants on an got it done.TFTC
Great little stop to stretch the legs. Parked at the dice. No water, however, 2 very large golden orbs guarding their golden nests. Delicate reach in. TFTC
On our travels we found ourselves traveling from broken hill westward and took the opportunity to grab a few caches along the way, this was a nice quick find, with old mate still guarding it, thanks for placing this cache
Heading over to Tamworth with the Muggle Mrs to visit her Brother we wanted to make the trip enjoyable and had no rush in getting there so we planned a couple of overnight stops. Our first was at the hill that needs fixing and in the process to try and find the newer ones that had been published since out last visit some 6 years ago.Our first stop on the way for a leg stretch and lunch at the nearby shelter.Approaching GZ there was a caravan parked but seemed to be no one active so assumed they had stopped for a snooze, This made it easier to search for the container which was still guarded by the 8 legged protector. All caches were is good condition unless stated otherwise.Thank you for the cache nomad_penguin Find Number 10711 on 9/04/2024
One SA cache for the day here. The spider was impressive, the sound of the trucks passing over was too. The creek has a heap of water in it.Our running mate @curlyrunsnz is back from NZ and is tackling the next 2800km to Darwin. Two nights ago we were camped at Lake Hart, north west of Pimba. We headed to Coober Pedy and back to PA for supply drops. Today, we are barrelling along the Barrier Highway making a bee-line for Port Macquarie.nomad_penguin, I found Wawirra Creek today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
The rest area was a bit muddy after the rains but I managed to get through. Now I just need more rain to get the mud off the car. A quick find here today. TFTC
Nice quick stop on our trip from WA to QLD and back to pick up our caravan and grab a few sneaky caches on the way.
Interesting monkey on way to cache
Thank you The Penguins placing and maintaining Wawirra Creek for us and others to find and enjoy.

A nice little leg stretch on the way from Broken Hill to Peterborough. Like the position of the hide. TFTC
We parked the bus on the side of the road and Mr Little Squirell
went on the hunt. All ok with the cache.
Thanks The Penguins

On way back from a Indian Motorcycle event at Broken Hill and decided I needed to do a cache. All is good and dry, tftc.
Found with Coybear2000. We were driving from Broken Hill to Burra and stopped here on our way. We parked and walked to GZ. Up or down? Once we'd decided on the correct level we quickly spotted the hide. Log signed and all replaced and we continued on our way - stopping a little further down the road as suggested. TFTC.
Done with Trodectus as we headed west. Quick find once at GZ. Log signed and returned. TFTC
A quick stop on our way from Broken Hill to the Flinders Ranges. A bit of traffic on the road today. To access the cache I had to disturb an extensive web belonging the cache guardians. Quickly found, thanks for your placement.
Nice place for a rest. Wandered down to the river, found the cache amongst the spider webs & prickles. Signed & returned. Walked over the old bridge for a further leg stretch then in our way.
Thanks.
Merry Christmas
Thanks.

Headed in a different direction for the weekend with Purrfect Di. Saw some sights, took some pictures, spotted your cache!
A pretty amazing creek with a lot more water in it than all the other nearby creeks we had seen!
Thanks nomad_penguin for locating and maintaining this cache on our ever growing Aussie geo-map

Hiking and driving around wherever we can - searching, spotting strange items and signing cache logs using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just a guyess or plain old dumb luck
Plenty of the luck stuff actually !!!
*All the online logs are composed and published with GSAK of course.*

Danger! Caching is a very hazardous activity!
Look out for sand, mud, floodwaters, snakes, surprise cliffs, roos, wombats, things falling from trees, bulldust, and floods, and try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall off your ladder...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- and do watch out for bugs !!! . [xx(]
Make Travel Bugs the Only bugs you share and pass on (Covid cancels caching!)
Keep a safe distance - cache the countryside
Heaps good of all those placing quality caches out and about around the country areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting
Much appreciate you reading all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, apparently! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and we can put an end to these long logs !!!
C'est Fini.

Some water in the creek when searching for the cache, and even more on the return journey.
Fun, adventure, travel, history, geology, mental stimulation, social gatherings, support and friendship are just some of the elements of geocaching.
Out and about enjoying the opportunity to grab a few caches, yours being one of those I targeted on my journey today. Thanks ??
Thanks nomad_penguin (F=2122 H=17) for placing this cache and adding to our game.

Glad to be able to find this one as the workmen were parking in the area. Hope it is still here when they leave. Thanks for the cache.
Glad that we managed to find this one as it is quite old and we couldn't find the last one due to the roadworks, Thank you for placing this cache and maintaining it for so long.
We are making our way to the Townsville Mega with geoturtle 37 , Papi4056 and micaparamedic where possible using adventure labs as our guide as we all enjoy them.
Heading to Broken Hill to grab the lab there after a slight change of plans we couldn't help but to do a quick detour to find this one.
We were heading the wrong way when this one popped up on the map but happily there was a parking area very close by so we made use of that along with the construction workers. As we got close we spotted a very large orb weaver guarding the easy access to gz so we decided that it could have that entrance and we all took a slightly longer way in. The cache itself was a nice quick find and all our names have been added to the log.
Many thanks The Penguins for the cache

We’re traveling from Peterborough to Broken Hill, breaking up the trip with a few caches and checking out the old railway sidings. Thanks for the hide Penguins.
On our way to the Hill for first post Covid trip. More of a genealogy trip than a geocaching trip but we did mark the journey by a few stops along the way.
It was lovely to see water in several creeks along the road as we travelled and plenty of water here today. Mr M made the find and laughed when Mrs M still couldn't catch the cache after 33 years of knowing her.

Travelling the highway towards home with ilook4geo as well. Picking up some caches that we have not done before in previous trips along this road. There are not a lot to be done, but enough to break the journey.
Thank you to The Penguins for placing this cache, which we found without any problem, once we were at the right level.

Out doing some caching along the highway with goingplaces2 as we head east. All found caches had their log signed before being replaced as found. Thanks to the CO for placing this cache.
After a few days in Broken Hill, on our way to McLaren Vale, finding a few caches along the way. Signed log and replaced. Thanks to nomad_penquin
The 3 of us had been to Broken Hill over the Easter Weekend. With only a few caches in town we had decided to head back to Adelaide on Easter Sunday to avoid any crazy Easter Monday traffic. We did all the caches in Broken Hill and found it a great place to visit, lots of history and the caches we did find were really good.
It seemed like a very long drive to Broken Hill on Good Friday we punctuated the drive with a few geocaches. We kept several on the other side of the highway for the drive home.
There were a kazillion dead roos by the side of the road, they are desperate for some rain and good. The stench of dead kangas was pretty pungent.
So the long drive commenced and interestingly it didn't seem so far on the way home and we were back home by 5pm.
After a disappointing conclusion at our previous stop where instead of using geocaching instincts I stupidly went on the back of a previous log and ended up with a dnf without properly looking, doubt we will ever get back for that one.
So was determined to stop and get this one. We are surprised more people don't make this little detour off the main road, for a quick easy find and sign. There is even some geo graffiti pointing the way! Geohound loved a gallop around here. TFTC

Good spot to stretch our legs on our way to Bimbowrie Conservation Park. As we found the cache our pen disintegrated, so were unable to sign log book. Placed a small green rock in the log book bag to prove our visit. Thanks for placing a cache here.
Found by Mary & David at 1040. Hard to imagine water here, let alone floods. We left maccamob HQ over 3 weeks ago to see family and attend QOGM. Now we're heading west to attend WAGB. Our thanks to nomad_penguin.
After a week in Broken Hill visiting relatives and finding a few caches we are heading back to Adelaide via Clare to fly home on Saturday. We enjoyed the variety of caches along the highway and very thankful to all the COs for placing them there and maintaining as well. It provided a necessary break in the drive.
We are nomads. Having left Perth WA in February 2014 we now live in our caravan and go wherever the will or caches take us.
Moving day today, travelling from Broken Hill to Peterborough. Awaking to windy, drizzly, did I mention windy day! We managed to stop and find this cache and a few others, although we often had to walk approx 200mts as we had the 24ft caravan on tow.
Soo cold after 2 years in NT or QLD this winter in SA is going to turn us into Ice Blocks. 40km/hr Head winds all the way aso our fuel economy sucked.! Max temp was 12degrees but wind chill was only 9degrees.

Found while heading south towards Adelaide. Thanks nomad_penguin for the cache.
We are making our way back to Adelaide for Christmas with the family after spending six fantastic months in far north Queensland.
We grab any caches we can that allow easy access for a large caravan and that don’t have too many muggles near GZ. Unfortunately that means that sometimes we have to bypass easy access caches when other travellers are parked near GZ as many caches are responsibly hidden in rest area.
Geohubby found only a broken, empty sistema at GZ which he assumed was the original cache. We didn’t have a suitable replacement with us so hopefully a future finder can replace the cache. He signed our name on a piece of paper and left it in the container.
There is some graffiti near GZ so maybe someone has helped themselves to the cache contents??
Many thanks for the hide The Penguins[^]
