Today I headed out for my second day of caching back in Adelaide for the Mega. Allisterw was our chauffeur and JJ52 was the brains behind solved puzzles. We had a wonderful day out, the weather was splendid, lots of fun and a tasty bakery lunch. What more could any cacher want? Day only marred by one dnf and around 29 physical caches found. My thanks to all the hiders for contributing to this hobby of mine without you my life would be so dull!Bonus find for today whilst out and about TFTC
I also found an empty cache but I have placed a fresh log book and some swag to keep the cache in play. TFTC Aussie M&M.
Found it! Worked out the co-ordinates and it led me to a likely spot. Wasnt sure about this one as it was a long time since the previous time! The cache is there however it was empty with no log! #211 TFTC.
It took me two visits to find this cache. There is another grave stone which looks like it has the correct info, but the coords are wrong. Returning next day, I expanded my search and found the correct data.
Upon arrival at GZ, I found the container lying out in the open. After signing the log, I replaced it in it's hiding spot.
Thanks for the fun DustyandDizz.

I couldn’t find a cache at my calculated coordinates but I couldn’t see a theme either, so I’ve probably got the numbers wrong somewhere. Thanks anyway Dusty and Dizz and Aussie M&M.
On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird, Liz & Bruce. Another great day for caching. TFTC Aussie M & M

Found with bektheraccoon on another afternoon adventure in Kapunda. Completed over 2 visits as the hail and darkness got us the first time. TFTC
This cache was completed over two caching days out with jambochicken. We went straight to wpt2 today and initially chose the wrong stone. When we realised those coords weren't viable, we returned to find the correct stone (you'll know when you've found the right one). Found with jambochicken, TFTC
Day 1
first puzzle for the holiday. quick find.
found with Mogni and Jacknor. We where heading up Carrieton for a couple of days and then on to the Flinders Rangers for 5 days. The plan was to find as many of the church multi's as we could going up and then bright and early the next day head off to the " Bendleby Ranges " 4 x 4 tracks. Then clear the next section of multi's between Carrieton and Rawnsley Station and of course a few stray trads that would help Jacknor's jasper grid. A straight week of over 30 degrees meant less hiking than planned but we still got to the top of Rawnsley Bluff as well as some other smaller hikes. The Rawnsley station 4 x 4 track was completed and by then it was time to decamp and start the drive home. Stopped at orroroo and cleared the town out before going back to the church multi grind. All caches that where found that were brittle or damaged were replaced and extra logs added to those caches that the scroll was full or almost full, except for nano's. Nano's are evil spawn and you can do your own maintanence on them.

Today, jesswrigley and I started the day with a breakfast event north-east of the city, before travelling to Kapunda primarily to complete the *Kapunda Hauntings Adventure* Adventure Lab. It was great to visit Kapunda once again, and a nice historical little mining town, and we enjoyed our walk around the old mining area. We did a few other adventures in the area, before heading back home via Seppeltsfield.
I don't think we enjoyed this puzzle, nor did we really understand the theme to who the Unfurler was? We visited Waypoint 1, and obtained the required numbers, but despite our review, we couldn't find any visual clue here?
At Waypoint 2, I looked around all over the place, and had a lot of trouble trying to find the right pioneer. We then headed to GZ, and after checking around, we spotted the cache container. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. I'm not sure if we also found the remainder of the story to this cache, so yeah, overall, this one probably needs an update and review. Thanks DustyandDizz for the cache placement, and Aussie M & M for its ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

I stayed overnight in Nuriootpa to get an early start grabbing caches around the area...my goal was to cache...I followed my plan for the first few but then the plan kinda went out the window and I followed my GPS...leading me to all sorts of lovely areas...
I worked my way around the waypoints collecting the information about one of the Pioneers of the area...I always thought there should be a cache at GZ and now I know there is...
Thank you for keeping this multicache alive for all to enjoy, Aussie M & M

Headed off from Wool Bay to spend a couple of days camping out in the mallee near Blanchetown. Took a relatively direct route there and a very circuitous route back to find a good number of caches along the way, and to clear up another small area on the map! Thanks for the cache DustyandDizz!
Apologies for the late log.
Found whilst the lovely micaparamedic came to Adelaide to visit me, pre covid lockdowns.

TFTC an interesting piece of history & a great find on this sunny but windy day. Thank you for leading us to this man & his beloved wife.
With the questions answered we were soon off to locate the cache which we dated & signed then replaced it back where we found it.

Another day caching out north with Doctor Owl, sushilord and SA Sewer Rats. It started out quite cool but by mid afternoon it was quite warm and I even worked up a sweat at one cache. [^] A fun day travelling on some great back roads with lots of beautiful scenery and plenty of interesting banter along the way.
Stopped here to find this one in the company of sushilord who had previously done the hard work.
Thanks for the cache DustyandDizz.

Thanks for the puzzle (multi??) and cache DustyandDizz.

After some lunch with mum and a friend, off I went to complete this puzzle, at WP2 I wandered around and had to do some googling and then the grave was found. Off to GZ I went. Cache is all good
A nice day out caching around eudunda and the surrounding areas, despite the on and off rain all day majority of the caches were easy enough to get to. Total of 39 finds and 1 DNF.
Thanks for the cache

On my way north to visit a family relative that owns a pub in Saddleworth, i took the opportunity to Cache a part of SA i have never cached before.....
The Gilbert Valley
A Mystery cache that thinks it's a Multi was in my sights so i had to snaffle me a 'Blue Question-Mark Cache' for the day.
Did the Gathering / Solving and made my way to WP2 to find the numbers needed.
Did the compiling for the final but something just didn't add up.... "No way can it be there!" i said to myself so i looked harder for what i needed and it soon became apparent i was onto a winner and the numbers needed were entered into the GPS and a much more 'likely' spot was sussed and the cache was in hand not long after arriving at the true GZ.
SL of it at 10:12 on the sunny, fine but windy day of Saturday the 20th of July 2019, in the shelter of my Geo-Mobile. Took the cache back to it's hidey spot (good and dry the cache and contents are by the way [^]).
I loved this cache and the history involved, so a Favourite Point is offloaded

Hi there DustyandDizz.
We found your cache **"The Unfurler"** at 10:41:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 22143).
As the weather wasn't looking too good we started the day off by nominating cache that was fairly close to our camp site. We took a route that was mostly determined by the next closest cache according to our GPS and cached between showers. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip around the area & ended up finding a variety of container types, and sizes hidden along our route.
We found 5 caches today & DNF'd 1. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic travels around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

A short walk to the cords to decipher next WP. Met a stick loving pooch. Returned later by car to WP found information to work out GZ, easy find once there at 10:50am. Thanks for this little history lesson.
The puzzled puzzlers set out on our first Wednesday escapade. Changing from Tuesday meant myself, Blackadders, Doctor Owl and SA Sewer rats were all available. As usual we set our mystery tour target as to make our way to Clare and cache around there. As usual we spent the whole day caching and never made it to Clare. [B)]
After a DNF at the previous cache it was great to find this in the first place we looked.
**Thanks DustyandDizz for this cache. **

It was Wednesday and that meant the new day for the available members of the Puzzled Puzzler group to go find caches. The target today was Clare - a town that was actually not reached all day. Too many caches to distract them on the way! This was the fifth of the day for Owl and she amassed a satisfying total of smilies, mostly found by other people. In this case it was a game of follow the Starfish, as he'd done all the hard work on the cache, including finding it.
The usual troupe of animals from the puzzled puzzlers group, this time on a Wednesday ventured out on this marvelous day to seek yet more of our un-found hides. Today's mission was Clare however we just did not seem to make it with all these other caches that diverted us from our goal.
With the workings sitting in the database for some time it was not until today that we could make the find, well the Starfish made the find but all got their names in the log book. TFTC

Thank you Postiegirl for the mornings exploration. Loved the cache and history. TFTC
Found on a bit of a diversion while heading up to Broken Hill. Puzzle was solved a while ago and it was a quick find today. Thenks postiegirl06 for the puzzle and the cache.
I’m staying at the local tourist park and came to log a few caches before dinner. Thanks for the hide.
I've been working and staying in Kapunda for a few weeks and finally got motivated to find a few caches. The data at WP1 was quickly found. The coords for WP2 were calculated and off I went. The data at WP2 was also found quickly. Wow that's a bit of history right there.
The cache was found, log unfurled and signed. TFTC.

Spending the week at the Tourist Park visiting my brother and decided to go out earlier in the day to find a cache. This was the closest one. Had no trouble at WP1 but took me a while to find the right memorial, so I started looking for wives that died on the 2nd. Finally found one near WP2 coords but the age of the man was not stated but could be worked out, and I was expecting it state he was the unfurler. I turned around to head back to the car and there he was the unfurler!!! Now I know I have the correct numbers. Headed to GZ and made an easy find amongst the ants. SL #3419 on streak day #2013 TFTC
After searching for a nearby trad and ending up with a DNF, this one was a piece of cake to find.
Thanks for the cache postiegirl06. Found on 7 Dec 2017 at 7:30 pm. Find #5524.

Our last morning in Clare as we headed for Greenock with iluvtrekking picking up caches along our route. An easy multi with co-ords spot on. Thanks postiegirl06
This morning was our last in Clare from here we headed off to the Barossa Valley gathering a few caches along the way. Thanks for your cache postiegirl06, we love a good straighforward multi.
Couldn't find the memorial of the fellow so unable to get the gz coordinates very sad will have to try again one day!
Found a nice new log book on this cache while down watching my niece in her netball grandfinal. I was a winner on the cache find, she unfortunately lost. TFTC
Offline for a couple of days - in the area this afternoon and fixing this hide
Discovered the old gum tree branch is gone, thanks to those for advising me. A replacement cache and log book placed at final location today. Good to go again.
I agree with the previous cachers. There has been a large limb removed from this tree, The CO should check it out.
Today Snap Happy was our chauffeur as we travelled around this neck of the woods with earthlight collecting unfound caches, tree has had some pruning done and we could not see any trace of the cache : (
Even though I travel up to the Barossa every week, this cache was never previously attempted.
I had no issues at WP1 and WP2, but GZ wasn’t as kind to me. Burke and Wills died a slow death and so did I. I tried all the obvious and all the not so obvious spots, but either my cache detecting skills were down for the day or the cache is missing.

Still leisurely touring South Australia after the Mega
We didn't head out till well after lunch today and it had been raining for more than 12hours so the dry weather only roads were closed to us today, so the long list we had been going to attempt was culled to gravel or paved roads.
Pretty wet walking through the long grass to get to most of these caches so back into the GeoCruiser to warm up as we headed on to the next cache.

TB visited. We were in town to pick up the little monkey from grandmas and remembered we had a TB onboard thats aim was to visit interesting ? caches. This was a good one, so we checked him in. Thats what Mum loves about GC, learning the history and seeing new and interesting spots. Thanks for the adventure
Mum lives around the corner from WP1 so we walked around to have a look. Then off to WP2 after a bit of googling which got us nowhere. Standing in the right spot but trying to find something obvious it was mum/grandma that found the right spot and the information required. I'm sure she is seeing more of Kapunda via geocaching than by living there!! Container in good condition. Thanks so much PG again for the adventure and we learnt something too!!
Great Cache! Had fun doing this and a favorite. TFTC Was only near WP2 on the 31st! TFTC
Tried this one many years ago when we first started Geocaching and stuffed it up so was good to finally get the final done after all these years.

On the way to into Kapunda we stopped on the side of the road spotted a nice place to hide a Cache as we looked we could see a container lid, so Geodaughter retrieved the cache to see what was written on it, as we had it in Hand our fellow cachers we were waiting for drove past then came back, as we were signing the Log. A nice place to Hide a Cache we thought, but not any more now to search another place to hide a cache, we will keep looking. TFTC

WP1 was easy. WP2 was not. After several incorrect GZs I finally got the correct dead guy and I had a GZ that wasn't in someone's paddock! And sure enough there was a cache there!

Spring is sprung, the grass is ris: I wonder where the caches is?
Out with firesafe and honeysucker on a lovely spring day for a day's adventure while we searched for caches
They found some, I found some and I lost track of how many times we managed to locus cache
The joys of coming caching with clever people: thanks for the mystery that I may never have got in any other way!

I enjoyed this one. I didn't expect to find one like this in Kapunda so it was a nice surprise.

Started this one a couple of days ago on my way to Clare, found WP1 and got to WP2 easily but calculated GZ in the middle of a paddock. Hmmm, this doesn't look good so I left it at this point. Had a read of previous logs which pointed out the error of my ways so was passing again on my way back from Clare so dropped in to WP2 again. This time I found 4 potential answers but I was sure I had the right one this time. Calculated a new GZ, got there to find the cache quickly. It all made sense in the end! Thanks to PostieGirl (PG06) for this one, good use of the WP2 to make me think!
Working my way to 2000 cache finds. Out on a day trip with CPwanderer and Aussie M & M.
We set out today to do as many multi's and a few puzzles if possible. This one was done but it was the only puzzle. Thanks for the cache.
A quick find at the final GZ with mogni and AussieM&M!! Thanks PG06 for the hide!!!
