A fun little explore while the little one was at gynmastics. No trouble gathering the info but the final was a bucket full of water! I took a photo because there was nothing left to sign - probably needs some work!
A great multi thanks. Completed while on a mission to get to 1250 smileys. TFTC
Finally found the final for this one today having found all the way points 3 -4 weeks ago. Having walked from Highcliff Rd down into town one morning I decided to gather the info for this one and have a History lesson at the same time. Thanks for setting this one up - the final co-ords put us in the right spot but i (Mrs) was relying on them too heavily and it took Mr only seconds to find the final cache (v. high muggle zone too, any day of the week!). TFTC
Struggling around in town and give this one a go. We were surprised that the fundaments still stand. Thae surrounding is not the best but the cached worked perfect for us.

Nice to see the buttresses still there. Was a little worried at the final as the trees have been dramatically trimmed, the cache is plainly visible if you know what to look for, I think it is its camouflage that enabled it to stay. And maybe that the gardeners know about geocaching and to not throw these out.
Never knew these plaques were here. Great to learn some history and find a cache. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
Never walked over the bridge before and it really is a good vantage point. Found with debsnz
Solved the puzzle during a lunch time stroll earlier this week but there were too many eyes at GZ to be able to safely complete the find then. Thought all businesses would be closed if I came back at 9:30pm but one still had lots of comings and goings. Made the find easily though. Inside of bucket is damp although logbook is still dry in its ziplock bag. Thanks for taking me back to visit the old bridge. I was sorry when it had to go to make way for progress. TFTC
Replaced this cache with another large 5L camo bucket - this is probably one of the larger inner city caches in set in an urban environment with lots of room for swaps
New contents include a variety of toys and laser pointer.

Had a look today and cache is completely gone!!! Will replace soon with replacement
Oh dear, was driving by where this cache ends this morning and the council (in their wisdom) has pruned (rather severly I must say) the hiding place of this cache. Maybe best to check it still there. On quick glance as I drove by it doesn't look promising. Pity as I found it a very worthwile history cache.
Yay gotya, found on a lovely afternoon with Castlewood-crew and cachemanchris.
I enjoyed this multi I never knew a few of the plaques were where they are.
I now understand why I don't remember it being built because it was opened the same year I was born

Yay, found on a georgeous sunny afternoon with Ingidayna and cachemanchris. Didn't even know some of these plaques existed, little own the stairs near the old bridge. Great one
What better way to start the new year then a history lesson! Never knew about the old bridge, so nice to find out about it - plus early enough in the year/day to beat any muggles! TFTC!!
Took quite a bit of hunting in the dark to find the cache, but pleased to get it in the end. I'd walked past the western abutment probably hundreds of times but had never noticed the eastern one before now. Cheers!
Did the multi quite awhile ago but never managed to find the case due to too many muggles about. Not many around on a beautiful sunny Labour day so thought I would give it a go. Found straight away. Lots of rubbish around which wasn't nice. TFTC. Enjoyed doing the multi.
Snuck to grab this while wife was shopping for baby clothes. Nice to see a big container in town! Thanks!
A Friday the 13th find. Fairly short and easy waypoints, this is my kind of multicache. Plus I learned some interesting Dunedin history. Nice to walk around to see the abutments. Also I walked down beneath the eastern abutment, just to take a look. Note for others -- the final requires some bush-walking! I was definitely walking atop bushes/trees to reach the final stage. Not necessarily easy. But cache is in there. Thanks for a fun multi.
Had fun searching for the figures. Completed at night due to high muggle numbers. TFTC.
A word of warning. The area on the other side from the GZ is full of rubbish, heaps of bottles etc. I think it was dumped there by the guy who was evicted from David St a few years ago as he was 'living' in a car in this area about 6 months ago. So take care.
Owner could disable and get the council to clean it up perhaps?

Nice lunch time walk to the waypoints and final. One of Papa's memories as a child is watching the festival street race which used to go over the old bridge. Salamat!
Found it at 09:49, my 1st of 2 on 13/10/2010, and my 797th find.
I had tried this one efore but was in danger of being muggled. Got it today once I'd realised the cche as larger that I had previously thought...
TFTC timgrin!

Tried it first without the given waypoints, but to find the right pull-away sign the coordinates were necessary! TFTC
found it with Myjodi........ after 2 Days and in the end with the coordinates [:o)]
TFTC. Had fun working this one. Know a bit more about Dunedin. Did some CITO at gz.
Up from Clutha to watch the Otago Nuggets, thought we would do a couple while here. Didn't ever know there had been an old brigde.
TFTC SL TNLN this one was interesting didn't no there was a plaque on the bridge did it over 2 days though interesting reading and find took us right to it no worries also found a make shift shelter in amongst some bushes it was like OMG did somebody sleep in here
[Did a CITO on this one, but drew the line at the dead seagull.] The shrubbery has recently been heavily pruned, and the cache was very visible, tucked it back under before I left. [+ Geocoin Signal The frog. Thanks for the puzzle.]
Nice afternoon, nice weekend cache. Dropping off TB that we had far too long -- poor Nexus69 got stuck with us during a long geocaching drought.
Have been wanting to do this multi for a while. Enjoyed the walk across the bridge. Picked up a geocoin when doing this but have been waiting for it to be logged out of another cache. TFTC.
Great to have finally done this multi. Wonderful views from the bridge. Great excitement to finally find the cache. A quick dash in to hide for cover. Thanks. Will now try for another of Timgrin's ones.TFTC.
Have visited the buttress before when there was an old cache there, which we didn't find as it was MIA but this cache was a much happier story.
Great multi, found reasonably quickly, had to wait til the cars went past then Shan threw himself into the bush, signed log, checked for cars and crawled back out. Great stealth! TFTC
Thoroughly enjoyed this one! Have driven past the butresses countless times but never actually paid any real attention to them. It is always a treat to discover a little more about ones own home town, and the wee walk around the various waypoints was most pleasant on such a beautiful day.

This was a great multi. Although we spent far longer doing it than we needed to. The green track on the GPS looled like a bowl of spagetti by the time we finished. Grabbed a TB
Solved some time ago, but had to wait until I was at least reasonably close before grabbing the cache.
Swapped TBs. TNLN. TFTC.

Sign at waypoint several people have noted wasn't there - is in fact there.
However be aware at times maybe facing away from you.

Very cool multi. Loved finding the remains of the old bridge 1/4 of us remembers the new old being built. Dropped off wretched skull geocoin.
Sign's all good Tim. You just need to be smart enough to realise that the a gate has two sides and when open they face different ways! Great little walk around on an awesome summer's morning. Had always wondered what to those odd rock walls were. Grabbed the TB's and an Ubuntu sticker. Didn't have any swaps so will call back sometime to drop something in. TFTC
An interesting urban walk. Lots of little bugs at cache location. TFTC
+ TB White Porsche from Australia - should feel at home with all the traffic.

Took the dog for a walk on a blustery Saturday morning. Didn't know this old bridge existed. Lots of muggles around, but it was still quite easy to retrieve the cache unnoticed. Took TB Kiwi Racer 4, and dropped of TB Red Handed Bozo 6 (recently arrived from Rotorua). tftc.
Thanks for the history lesson. I'd never noticed them! Yes had some issues with the sign...
A very bold final cache location. I hope I didn't look suspect!
TFTC + Cheers.

2239. Well that took up a good part of our afternoon. We had only ever been to the first waypoint - that was when we were searching for Reductio Absurdum - which was missing and never replaced. So today's walk about was really interesting. It was tricky finding the last two answers - we could see how they would be easier at night.
We took the Cache Jumper TB and left the Big Z Travel Bug. (The nearby zig-zag pedestrian access makes this a good place to leave this TB)
Thanks
Iris & Rodney

An interesting bit of history. Found along with max.corboy on a wet & cold day. TNLN - TFTC.
Many thanks for an interesting and enjoyable guided tour. Arrived in Dunedin after new bridge built- now know why those two streets have hills on them and what those old stone buildings were! Heavy rain is my excuse for no CITO at cache.
Nice spot of night caching. Particularly liked WP1 - very interesting. Rather cheeky final too - thanks.
Great run around multi, had to break in middle to chase new cache at St Clair. TFTC
What a fun cache. Have walked over this bridge a few times and never noticed the plaque. Cheeky spot for the final- glad I did it at night.
great history multi. found on 2nd attempt as mucked up on one of the questions.remember going over the old bridge as a kid
The old Gang o' Three were out again for this one: good wee stroll and a fascinating bit of history showing both sides of the bridge this time. Yep, container was hidden in plain sight! TFTC!

Knew exactly where WPT1 was as had noticed it previously and had considered using it as a waypoint but never came up with anything that would have been as good a theme as this. Tried my best to copy Starjammer due to the cold but still ended up getting numbers from 2/3 waypoints.
Thanks for the effort on this one!!

Good to be out again with the gang of three...as Hamsterman wrote its been along time since we'd found a cache.

Nice wee multi cache to fill in a few minutes, Been to the old bridge a few years ago with another cache.
Thanks Bitsprayer

Nice cache location, I must admit I was a little naughty, and due to the inclement weather short-circuited the hunt somewhat.
I remember the old bridge as a kid, it was like driving inside a battleship ! (well to a young mind anyways!)
Interesting picture choice for the sketch of the old bridge Timgrin - I have a relative that is related to the late artist - did you know him as well?
- Ubuntu disc + Cable ties set

Nicely done! A nice piece of history I would have never known about. And a large container right in the middle of the city, too Not a fan of this kind of final locations though. Cache is well visible from 10m distance in daylight, but blends in well with all the rubbish around
Thank you for an interesting cache.

Joint FTF with frost.falcon. Really enjoyed this speedy multi. Very windy out there tonight! Took a wee while to spot the final - good spot

Joint FTF with GYARGH. Mmm, suspicous... saw another car pull up after us at a waypoint = Adrenaline-Shot . TFTC and informative too.
