Back again today, a little over two years since my last visit and the renovations to the markets are finally completed! Unfortunate, as forecast in my earlier 'write note', this cache hasn't survived the construction work. Two previous finders who were with me today confirmed it's missing. Thanks anyway, Fore!
Cache is missing following years of construction work at this site and requires replacement or archiving.
Popped by here today - unfortunately GZ is an inaccessible construction site with the entire area fenced off (and, I suspect, removing the cache's hiding spot) as part of the redevelopment activities here. I suspect it'll be that way for quite some time.
A quick arvo find with Geogeneve. Always thought there was something fishy about that place! TFTC
Just_Jess! solved this puzzle and from there it was a quick find. A location I'd passed many times and never paid enough attention to! All in good condition but only one space left in the log. TFTC
Find #3 for this sunny Sunday. Gave me a good opportunity to look at Albert in detail, and take in its eclectic form. TFTC.
As so often happens, solved the puzzle a few months ago but hadn’t gotten around to entering the GZ.
Stealthed my way in tonight and quickly located. Unravelled and signed the log before returning the cache to its hide.
Thanks for the puzzle and the cache.

After not finding a fish at "Can u c a fish ?" (GC12NGQ), my TB companion Panthera convinced me it was time I did this cache after solving the puzzle many months ago. There's always been too many muggles when I've passed by but being a Monday today it's a lot quieter with the markets closed.

With three events and a weekend off I decided on heading over to Canberra to attempt the ‘Most cache types in a day challenge’. After arriving Friday night and having a great night sleep, it was morning and I headed off to find the caches between the motel and the first event. It was a great drive across the country side picking up the finds plus the caches at both parts of the rest area where the first event was held. A fun little event for everyone to meet and greet before heading into Canberra for the CITO. Next, it was time for the CITO plus claiming the find on nearby virtual cache. After the CITO, I was up to 7 cache types already. Then, it head off to find a WIG and LB to add the next two types to the list before heading to the final event. At the final event, I had a delicious Chicken Snitty and spoke all things Geo with the other attendees. Finally it was time to get a mystery cache to make it 11 for the day. Just before heading back to my motel I passed by the GCA History series along the Anzac Parade. I may head out and find some caches around Queanbeyan tonight before heading to bed. TB visit on all caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found today and for allowing them to bring enjoyment to me and the rest of the caching community. TFTC’s and TFTE’s

What a fitting end to an evening at Big Splash with scouts.
I worked out the coordinates quite a while ago, but kept the cache for a day with limited time.
That was an enjoyable puzzle to work out.

This was a quick find at GZ early this morning when there was hardly anyone around. I do love the hint that became obvious at GZ. TFTC Fore! SL as SG.
Very busy here this morning! Had to be super stealthy.

Out with Kittykatch doing some Christmas day caching and decided to pick this one up as it was so quiet. Its high muggle thats for sure and a sneaky hide. But cache soon in hand, signed and returned. Now off home to cook the chook for Christmas. TFTC
#5 for the day with Regxna, GZ was a little busy as we came past but we managed to grab the cache out without seeming too suspicious. All is in good condition.

Decide to go for a drive this afternoon on north side to grab some caches, decide to stop by here and and collect some answers and head off to GZ and found TFTC Fore!
I wonder what the biggest fish ever recorded is....Albert would have to be pretty close I reckon! Thanks for the fish hunt! TFTC!
Counted the fish, made my way to Albert and after a bit of fumbling soon had cache in hand. TFTC Fore! and a FP awarded for the fishy puzzle
Apologies for the late log. I had a trip to Canberra in the middle of winter to visit my wife who had a six week study placement there. I found a bunch of caches but have only got around to logging them now. This one was close to where we were staying and I had solved the puzzle in advance. Headed out to pick up some take away and grab a few caches along the way in the early evening. Nice and quiet once I came past here and I was able to park close by. Thanks to the explicit hint I quickly had the cache in hand and was adding my name to the log. My fifth and final find for the day. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache Fore!
Tftc. Mrs jaybeem did the math a few weeks ago and I finally decided to give it a go tonight. She was spot on!! Great cache !
Found today while waiting for my car to be serviced. Nice puzzle and hide. Never noticed Albert before

Interesting little puzzle and a quick find at GZ. I'm not even sure why I targeted this one on my last day in Canberra. I suppose because it was there and reasonably close to my hastily arranged accomodation.
This cache was found relatively quickly, we had a play in the famous 'Big Mushroom' playground. TFTC.
Dad solved the puzzle a long time ago so today we retrieved the container. TFTC
MrS solved this puzzle aaaaages ago. On our way out of Canberra, we came looking for the big mushroom and realised a solved puzzle cache was also in the vicinity. Signed as The Shoes x3. Now, where is that mushroom?
Took to solving some of the many puzzles at the south end of Belconnen just the other night. This was one of the easier puzzles. Learned something nevertheless.
Today I stopped by to collect the cache. A quick find thanks to the hint.
Thank you Fore! for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Thanks for the puzzle - we learned some interesting facts about Koi and met Albert!
Out for the second day of our Canberra blitz picking up puzzle caches that have been worked out for quite some time - some of them so long ago they've even been forgotten by this time. Anyway, this go around we flitted from suburb to suburb picking up park 'n grabs (or very nearly so) clustered around the northern end of the ACT. By no means a power trail as most were scattered here and there higgledy piggledy which turned into a slow moving day in terms of overall numbers but we were thorough and painstaking enough so that at the end of the long day we still managed to scratch our way past the sixty-cache threshold, which was about ten better than we'd hoped to do. A few finds turned out more challenging than we wanted but overall everything was found in short order and without major difficulty. Well done to the CO's on that score. Apologies for the copy n' paste logs - most puzzles deserve a few more words than this - but gathering in a couple hundred puzzles in a short span of time amounts very much to binging the area leaving little time to reflect on what brought us here. Not to worry, tho, everything has been well worth the effort, and will bring us back several more days before we're done. TFTC.
The thing that had me most "puzzled" was who in the world is Albert? Well, now I know!

Another day spent ticking off solved Mystery caches in Canberra with 154Crows. It's been very rewarding to convert hours of puzzle solving into finds. This time around, we tackled the NW section of the ACT. Again, we had another big day - 61 Mystery caches (10% of remaining) with 0 DNF's!! Thanks to all CO's for their puzzles and hides (apologies for the generic logs).
Fore!’s geocaching secretary reporting for duty: although no Needs Maintenance log was posted (it should have been), I have replaced the log in a new nano...cache on!
Yay! Solved this long ago when I was just a newbie cacher. Brought a group of kids out at the time on a hot day and we couldn’t find it anywhere! Since then i have been avoiding the little sucker.
Tonight I decided it was time to give it another shot as I found myself nearby. Had a bit of a search.. waited for the coordinates to readjust. And soon had cache in hand. The streak remains alive and this cache stops staring at me. Win win I say! Thanks so much for the cache.

We have some number of solved puzzles that we are collecting today this been one of them. We parked accross the road and made our way to GZ, the log sheet is full and will need changing.

A pretty quick solve, and an easy enough find. I live so close to here, yet I've never really noticed Albert...TFTC!
We found a parking spot in the carpark and went over with ilook4geo to view this piece of art work. Collected the cache near it as well, which was no problem. Added initials go the log and put the cache back into position. Thank you to Fore! for this puzzzle cache, which we enjoyed finding as well.
This was a busy place today but we found the cache as well as the sculpture, along with goingplsces2. TFTC.

Who names a fish Albert? More importantly, whose idea was it for Albert to be apart of Floriade?
Thanks for the puzzle

So I got to learn a bit about fish in order to solve this one. Naturally I expect I'll completely forget all about it very quickly but it’s funny how random facts often stay in your head. I was in the area today, dropping the car off for a service nearby, so it was the perfect opportunity to collect this one and get my daily cache done so early in the day (day 73). There were very few people about and I felt great when I found the cache straight away. And now I know this fish’s name too. TFTP
Having finished my final masters exam ever.... I was walking back from the venue (which strangely, was in a hotel?) toward work.. and needing lunch - I walked through the markets
Oh right, Monday. Nothing open
As I was crossing the road, I saw someone near GZ..Who appeared to be looking for a cache.. so I went up and realised it was Greyhams!
I had the co-ords for GZ, but hadn't found it, so I was happy to offer my services and try find it. Greyhams found the cache, and let me do the honours - as I was still clutching my pen from the exam!
A good chat and then we headed back to our respective jobs, which as it turns out, cross paths a bit!
TFTC Fore, and Thank you Greyhams for the serendipitous moment of caching!

I have driven passed this one a few times but today I decided to stop and make the find. I get to GZ and I have just started looking when a muggle is approaching so I go back to 'studying my phone intensely' mode.... oh, its andrewbt! So we go back to searching and the cache is soon in hand. andewbt already has a pen in hand so I hand over the log and we squeeze our names onto it.
After that a long chat about our relative jobs that have some intersection (Canberra is a small town!) before heading our own ways back to work.
Thanks for the cache

I've had this solved for months but never found myself in the area. Found without much trouble, I expected a lot more muggles interference for a Friday lunchtime.

I solved this at least a year ago and it was on my direct path this afternoon so had to grab it.
Initially on arriving at the co-ordinates I thought I must have them wrong considering the hint, then I looked closer. Definitely like what you've done here.
Cache found in good condition.

Good one. Great artwork.
I've had a bad day. Came down with hives overnight associated with my asthma, and have been popping antihistamines ever since. Mongrel things don't seem to put me to sleep, and a I had trouble due to itching. As a result, I finally got some sleep, got up at lunchtime, and have finally got on the road for a cache or two with the GeoSchnauzers.
I'd solved this at least a couple of years ago, when I was laid up with my broken ankle. So today the GeoSchnauzers and I are back to find it, with success. I left the dogs in the car, as I was able to park all of 10m from GZ. Thanks for the cache.

Just had the biggest downpour I've seen in ages, so I felt a bit like a fish myself in all this rain. During a break in the weather I walked the 800m from where I'm visiting friends to grab this. Signed R5.
Our very first mystery cache solved and found with geohubby! Many thanks for this cool cache
Was on my usual weekend trip to house of a million bits and bobs next door, being a little later in the day and things being a bit quieter I decided to make my attempt at this one. Almost first go. Cools.
Nice little puzzle that showed me a side to gold fish that I never knew existed.
Nice little history tidbit. I remember when this thing was an art installation at the annual flower show. I think I even painted a scale to be pinned on with 100s of others.
Thanks for the fun!

Searched entire fence, didn't find a thing can CO please check to see if it's still there?
After a long and apparently not thorough enough look, came up empty

Having been pretty sure i solved this one years ago I couldn't find the coords, I was pretty sure i knew where the cache was but decided to double check the coords. A few short mins later and I had confirmed the location...
That lead to today where I had some time to kill before heading somewhere at 8 so after finishing my goodberries I decided to stop past this one... Silly me left the GPS at home but I had a fairly good idea where I needed to look. BINGO cache found.

Off to Canberra from Bendigo to celebrate Grandma's 80th birthday. Not a lot of time for caching but we were keen to pick up some long solved puzzles. Lots of people at the market but none was interested in what we were up too.

Came out with dty73 and youban who had worked this out. Have looked at it a while ago when first looking at puzzles but never started it. Although been past many times I never knew it was called Albert, now I know! Thanks for the cache fore!

Several years ago I bought 5 koi for my folks who have a large pond that was perfect for them. They were the size of sardines when I bought them - they are now bigger than the local kookaburra who regularly visit to check them out. They are the size of Jack Russels...almost as big as Albert!
I really picked the wrong day to visit, but the Ridgeo-pup and the iphone gave me some cover and the muggles were pretty preoccupied with their shopping lists. Thanks for the cache and the fun puzzle, Fore!.

I wasn't going to go caching today, but after spending the morning solving the Mining for Answers series, I just had to go out and get them. And then I continued to cache for another couple of hours. I've attempted this one three times before but couldn't search at all, or was hampered in my search due to too many muggles around. Today it was the quietest I've ever seen it here, so I was able to take my time. It wasn't long before I spotted the cache and had the log signed. TFTC.

Solved some weeks ago. Parked in Bunnings to buy some pumpkin seed for Spring then came over and soon found the cache. TFTC.
We are gradually managing to find some of the caches on our 'Solved" list and earn a few more smileys along the way. This one was close to where we were visiting this morning and so we managed a quick find on a tiny log sheet.

I solved this puzzle about a year ago but for some reason it left my mind and I completely forgot about it! The coords have just been stashed away for ages, and I have even come to the Belconnen Markets during that time and forgot to grab it!
Oh well, today we were cleaning up some in the area and noticed it! The hide wasn't exactly where I expected it to be, so found it after a 5 min search. Interesting puzzle, it was a good one for a beginner like me

Couldn't get the cache open to sign log. It looks as if it hasn't been screwed on properly (mis-threaded). Didn't have my normal bag of geo-tools with me so couldn't fix myself. Not enough to be able to get a good grip with my fingers, lol.
Third for the day on a circuit with geohound. Found the cache quickly enough, but could not get it open! Fraggle rock mustn't know their own strength. Tried as hard as I could but had to take a photo as proof of find. No log signed sadly. TFTC
It smelled very fishy here and my gosh does this thing have it in for birds we counted at least three dead ones, great puzzle and great cache, Thanks!!
