Hi all Geocachers,

With regret it is time to archive this Geocache.
It has been hidden since May 2008 and has had over 500 finds. Well done to those that managed to find it.
Sadly I can no longer maintain this cache and will be archiving it today.

Tommy, my son who inspired me to place this cache here has grown up and is now studying in Canberra at University. It brings back fond memories of the days when we would go geocaching together and walk for kilometers sometimes in search of a hidden gem. Those memories I will treasure forever.
Thank you to all those who have left messages over the years. We received great pleasure in bringing you some fun.

Tight for time dnf

Bit of a struggle to reach once I found it, also wasn't too keen to put my arm in the hole haha! Fished our with a stick left a few trinkets. There is a trackable in there too left my the last to find.

Thanks for the cache. Found it quickly. Kids patted the horse. We dropped off a trackable we found in Toowoomba and went on our way. All is in order

Came to visit an old favourite with the kids and its gone.

Found it!!!!!!! It had fallen deeper into the muddle of the big tree. Had to use a big stick

Had about 20 spare minutes before the train but could not locate the treasure.

Easy find, after our trip to Kuranda.

We finally found it on our third try, it was hidden well. The horse was friendly and we patted it.

This was a nice and easy one. Fun to do.

Quick and easy one today after a swim at freshwater. Found a signature of a friend from 3 years ago which is pretty cool.

Greetings from Scotland. We had been to Kuranda today on the Skyrail and returned on the train to Freshwater. We were driving out of the car park when MrsF looked at her phone and saw this cache was nearby. It was a quick about turn and we parked up again. We headed over to the obvious spot and circled around it. We then realised it possibly wasn't at the base as it was a fabulous tree to hide things in . We then circled again searching in places we were able to reach without too much difficulty. It was the third place we checked when MrF uttered the words we all like to hear. We hadn't brought a pen so took it the few yards back to the car to sign it and then returned it as found.

Could only find smelly blue runners! A hint would be good

In the tree hard to find

many weeds and green ants ...a hint would be great to press on!

Tried to find to no avail- even with my son on my shoulders to check the higher places. But morher-in-laws-tongue and spider webs and vine didn’t help

No luck, probably should have bought a torch and a good stick to beat the bush.

Train arrived before we could find it, darn! So close...

Had to catch train but was in the location not enough time

Stopped by for a tracker swap

Back in Germany, we now log all our fieldnotes. We had a fantastic time Down Under and we will definitly come back. As we can not make a special log for avery one, we use this specimen one. Thx to all the COs that made our visit more interesting. We really enjoyed the caching in Australia. G'day, .... and no worries, we will come back.

Found with my two Geo-munchkins who were doting on the horses nearby. A good search & finally the hide revealed itself to me. Signed log. Left a heap of SWAG & RAF. A quiet time at this GZ after visiting Kuranda train & cable. Retrieved Trackables & Left Trackables.

The train was idling at the station when I arrived
So a short stroll later and I was at GZ with an audience

Not that all them muggles could do anything !!
They were trapped in the carriages
So I poked around looking for the cache,
in between brushing off the green ants

On about me third lap of GZ,
the train rolled out of the station,
and I found me this cache

Day 3 Cairns.... today we're heading up into the rainforest - the train and skyrail. Not many accessible caches up here, especially when you're on foot on a tight schedule, we grabbed what we could. As soon as we arrived at the station, we legged it over to find this one. As I circumnavigated the tree clump, Samuel found $5 on the ground, then pointed to the hole I'd already checked, where the cache was sitting.... Well done son! TFTC Spinmeout

Found on my last day in Cairns after a lovely lunch at Limberlost-topped off with a cache, cheers!

Found today with one of the geokids before catching our train up to Kuranda. A nice easy find, although we were a little apprehensive about any creepy crawlies that might've been sharing the hide! Quickly signed and popped in a travel bug and geocoin which I've brought over from NZ. Thanks for the cache and greetings from the UK!

Quick find with Cheetah _m and whereism4 while checking out the area. Was worried about spiders too.. but luckily no 8 legged friends were around! TFTC!

Looked all around inside tree. There was a hole in the middle of the tree but did not stick my hand in there. Kids still loved seeing the horses and collecting sticks. Beautiful place
