A bit to easy to find we found it very quickly but I did not mind due to I did not want people watching us looking around in a cemetery.
Thank for the cache.

First time out in a while little man enjoyed finding this one all on his own for the first time.

14-Jul-23
A drive through this cemetery had me stop nearby to GZ, and make a quick find in an obvious SPOR location. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Garfield69au for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was nice to have found this oldie 05/2008 hidden cache, of which is one of Queensland's 1000 oldest yet active geocaches.

----------

During this extended weekend, it was a trip north to find the 65 Roses geoart in Kilcoy, followed by two days boating on Lake Somerset to defeat the Dark Side series joined with [GurTheWanderer](https://coord.info/PRWMPWQ) and [stairman1](https://coord.info/PR4R27Z).

Today, I headed north via Caboolture, and I made stops in D'Aguilar and Woodford, before stopping at Stoney Creek in Bellthorpe National Park. Towards the latter morning, I set off finding the *65 Roses* geoart concentrating on the eastern circuit via Mount Kilcoy first, before then heading north, and back into Kilcoy for lunch. After tackling the central geocaches, I proceeded west through Woolmar, before finishing the series via the southern stem. As I was staying in D'Aguilar tonight, I returned via Mount Archer and a detour into the northern section of D'Aguilar National Park. A nice and cool weather day for collecting this series, and most of the geocaches were in good condition.

Aaaaand we’re back, this time with three kids in tow which aren’t overly keen about caching, but eeeh we dragged them along with us anyways to get them out the house.

With yesterdays deluge we thought the weather would be iffy but that wasn’t the case whatsoever. It’s was a perfect day, blue skies and far as the eye could see and not a single cloud in the sky. Perfection!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here exploring Kilcoy and the surrounding area. We’ll be back another time to clean up any DNFs, awkward caches to retrieve or ones we simply missed.

Thank you for placing, maintaining and for keeping this cache alive.

Thanks for bringing us here.

My first day out caching in a loooong time.
This cache has been on my hit list for quite some time and I finally got a chance to find it.
The hint was very handy (I do like a bit of Monty Python )
Cache found quickly along with the clothing of a scaly critter near by.
All is good with the cache.

Driving from Gatton to Sunshine Coast through Kilroy was the plan today. Hopefully collecting a few of the rose caches as well as some high favourite caches on the way.

I didn’t get as many of the rose caches as I would have liked but certainly made up for that with a number of other caches. Some very very cleaver caches that have given inspiration.

Tftc.

Quick find as we arrived in town.

Found it exposed in the spot so after logging my name I added a guard to the top which is different to the ones around here. The clue did help to send me to the right spot and no thorns for me today due to recent pruning. A peaceful place to be today.

Last weekend was a big weekend around Oakey, getting the SSE. On the way home, Mr8 left his shoes at a cache in Gatton (he said as we arrived home in Brisbane). "No, we are not going to duck back and get them! Gatton is not just up the road."

However, Willis007 was driving past Gatton the next day and remembered the story of the shoes, so she diverted and got them for him. Lucky boy. So, shoes were closer to me, but still not close enough. Upon making arrangements to meet up with Willis007, we decided Woodford would be a good place so we could get all the caches in the area. Of course, Woodford is only 15mins further than Gatton! So, traditional found Smile

Well hello there garfield, another cemetary cache of yours!
This was the second cache i hunted for first thing this morning before pedalling into town for breakfast.

Throwdown caches make me feel so uncomfortable. Just because it has a dnf (or even many) does not mean it isn't there. There might be two caches at this location, all i know is i found the obvious one, so signed it and moved on.

I love cemetary caches and always go on the search whenever i come across them. One of my favourites so far was a multi in the beerburrum pioneer cemetary. Worth havin' a look.

Thanks garfield69au for hiding a cache here thirteen odd years ago. I don't know if it was the first cache placed in kilcoy, but it's certainly the oldest one still active here.

I was angrily attacked by a magpie at the entrance here. Calmly talking to it did nothing to alleviate it's aggression.

I love cemeteries, and also caches, so when both are together, it makes me doubly sure of finding something that I am looking for, Toady I only found the cache, No relatives are interred here, Thanks for giving me the chance to look and find the cache is in good condition after all the recent rains, Thanks again Garfield69au

24,347. Found with minniek on our Dayboro QLD MEGA Adventure trip. For today we also cached with albida33 and Smittengranny to form and sign as FAMS !

Day 7. Enough was enough. We decided that we had had enough of the rain at Dayboro, so we upped stumps a day early and started our journey up to Maryborough via The Roses Geo-Art and a couple more counties. Smittengranny and albida joined us for the Geo-Art. So after packing up the sodden campsite we headed north to Kilcoy after a final trip to the Dayboro Bakery. This was the next stop for the day. This was a quick find at GZ. Signed the log as FAMS, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.

Thanks Garfield69au !!

Easter trip away with fitzy_1965 for the cacheQLD Dayboro Mega.

Decided to pack up and head north a day earlier as we were no longer dry in our tent. Teamed up with Albida33 and Smittengranny (signing as FAMS) to do the 65 Roses Geo-art and any others in-between before parting ways and caching our way to Maryborough where we will be based for three nights.

All caches were found in good condition unless otherwise stated.

Dayboro trip. Day 12. With the Mega officially over, there was another day of caching to be done in the region. Today it was Fitzy_1965, MinnieK and SmittenGranny who joined me for a trip to Kilcoy. We spent the morning finding the Roses series that had been solved before the trip away. A fun collection of town and country caching, in the heavy rain at some times. Happily the heavy rain came after the walk was completed. I returned to Dayboro for my last night and the others headed north for more travel. It has been a great experience caching in the region and with so much more to do I will have to visit again. Bring on the next Brisbane Mega !

Thanks for the cache Garfield69au

Fun, adventure, travel, history, geology, mental stimulation, social gatherings, support and friendship are just some of the elements of geocaching.

Out and about enjoying the opportunity to grab a few caches, yours being one of those I targeted on my journey today. Thanks ??

Thanks Garfield69au (F=270 H=26) for placing this cache and adding to our game.

Catching up on late logs.

We were up here to attend the Daybro Mega event but the weather was not very kind to us so we decided to concentrate on Adventure Labs and any thing else that was near by.

The weather had eased off a bit and we though we would try some normal caches to get back into the swing of it. One good thing is the wet has kept a lot of muggles away.
We pulled up here and enjoyed checking out the cemetary and the graves. You can always find something interesting in these old places. The cache was found quickly and our name was added to the log.

Many thanks Garfield69au for the cache.

Can't start to tell you how many cemeteries we go to between caching and family history research. Lucky we both like visiting them. Thanks for the cache.

31-Mar-21
I love going to cemeteries and looking around at the varied monuments as well as reading about lives lost. We spend a lot of time going to cemeteries as I research family history so am more than happy to cache at them as well. Must admit that I often get sidetracked though. This was a nice quick find. Thank you for the cache and maintaining it for so long.

Found at 3:13 PM GAFF1.
Last cache for the day and it is starting to rain, so we are now looking forward to get back to our camp and meet up with our friends.
Now that is a narrow entry into the cemetery!
Thanks Garfield69au.

Out and about on a power trail today - targeting the Roses geoart (wahoo! highly recommended), the Potter Puzzles geoart, and the Hamilton power trail. It was a long but fantastic day with myself, Pprime (P') and mini oz_bean_counter, and the logs were signed as OP'X to reflect this. Started at 4 am with a check on the US election progress, in the car by 4.45 am and the first cache by 5.30 am. Home and dead tired 12 hours later, where wine and pizza were necessary to refuel the body before I crashed for the night. I was delighted to end the day with 124 finds (plus 5 DNFs, and revisited 2 caches) - a new daily record for me. I was really really happy to be celebrating that achievement with family and good friends.

Thanks for all the COs for their time and effort in placing and maintaining these caches. Apologies for the generic log.

Yesterday i was out this way doing a few of the rose series. today we planned to get as many of the Dark series as possible and hired a boat.
While i was up early and the boat booking started at 8am i decided to head into town and grab a few as well. this was the first stop i bumped into Willis007 on the way and we went looking for some caches together. Spent some time here searching around and it seemed this one was gone, i had a replacement cache in the car and even a new log. in the vain of not seeing a cache go to archive we replaced all and continued on.
Hint, look for a spor.
