Unfortunately the cache was not found in tact. I located the reminence of what appeared to be the log bag and a pencil nearby.

TFTH another Thursday out with Barnzy12
This time we made our way to Rockingham area to complete some series and grab some P+G caches. We made contact with a friend who recently has started geocaching as he lives down this way and organised to meet him for lunch. This then ended the day out caching until we headed closer to home and finally found the machinery madness cache! The highlight of the day crossing this one off the list. All were found in a good condition and we stayed relatively dry for the day also which was a bonus

TFTC! Another huge Thursday caching adventure with Cravo10 was on the cards all week as we get John near to the 6000 finds milestone, and his other goal that he's working on. More on that later...
After searching the maps we agreed on the suburb of Rockingham (and surrounds) as our choice for the day given the new series and new dots which have dropped into the map recently.
We started with the ASBCS series, which was a lovely walk along the beachside path and thanksfully we didn't get too close to the "free beach" and see something we may (or not) have regretted!!
We then continued after parking nearby to collect the message in a bottle series, which offered a nice solid walking track as we couldn't find a 4wd track through, although immnot sure if you're meant to do that, had some problems at #2 which was a DNF and the rest of the them were found quite easily.
After grabbing the message in a bottle final we headed across the track walking about a kilometre to grab a bunch of the PKSP series of caches which we found all quite easily, skipping the multi as time was running out until we met up with friends for lunch.
We had a big steak lunch and then decided to abandon completing the PKSP series and focus our attention towards all the park n grabs around, which were all relatively easy to get.
After completing the park and grabs around rocko we headed back to Coogee near Cravo's house and grabbed the new bellamin cache colours colours colours which was a nice little brain teaser as we can't seem to add up, got there in the end, thankfully.
We then decided stupidly maybe to attempt the manning machinery madness cache in manning park, it was a huge mistake, until we had a nice hint from a fellow cacher, even then it was still a ten minute search at GZ to find the little bugger, given he's been gathering dust grease and all sorts for over two years since jasenjanine logged their find on the beast. Nearly 30 months unloved in a traditional cache in the suburbs.
Huge day out and good company, can't wait to be back this way to complete all the caches. Thanks

Was a good find to get my cache addiction continued. Was out learning the ways with Krabiboy.

Found the cache, however the hiding place has been burnt. Might need to be relocated
Searched for about 10 minutes and then suddenly it was right there! Worth all the prickles and spikes from looking in the wrong places.
Left cachekinz TB that has been languishing in our home for way too long.

Dropped by just before dusk, lots of dog walkers around tonight ... easy find but lots of options nearby.

Over the last few months, I have been actively seeking out caches that will assist me in completing my Jasmer Challenge. This one helped me, so cane down today to grab it.
I placed a TB in the cache, and upon doing so, realized that the TB tag had fallen off between the car and the cache. I backtracked to the car and found it 4m from where I had parked. After reattaching the tag and leaving it in the cache, I added my name to the logbook and returned to the car.

Went back for these after reading the assuring logs that the caches were indeed still there.
This one still gave me a bit of trouble and I ended up very frustrated and questioning my life choices. Just as I was about to throw in my towel (much to my detriment!) the cache revealed itself to me. It was embarrassingly simple, but sometimes we overthink things and we end up blind! Coords were spot on for me.
Moral of the story is that I've learned that sometimes it's better to trust the GPS over my own logic. SOMETIMES.

Out for a drive in the local area with nika_leigh for an arvo of geocaching. Hiding spot may not be as it was when first hidden, but still easy enough to find. Cache is in good condition with plenty of trinkets for the kids. TFTC.
Bad things come in threes, right? My third DNF today. Hopefully this means my streak of bad luck is over!

Our 500th regular cache. Difficult to find even though we knew where to look. I suspect the vegetation has grown a lot in the 6 years since it was hidden. We got scratched, prickled, bitten & really pestered by flies but geo hubby found it in the end. TFTC.
Came back here for a second look and it was an easier find this time. Tyftc. found with axell33 and folssee
Tftc wombat team everything dry. Apology for not replacing zip lock bag as it is torn but I have forgotten to replenish my supplies of these items.
It was great to find this one this afternoon as we had found Wombat 5 on 7th July but got drenched running back to the car that day so ended up going home without looking for this one. TFTC Team Wombat
A short walk from the car, I arrived at GZ and as with the previous wombat cache, I got lucky and spotted this one very quickly. Out with the container and log, in with my name, I was done and dusted in a little over a minute and was back on the return path... Just as well as I was running very low on time...
Cheers TEAM WOMBAT.

Back to Rockingham, (aka 'Swinging Pig'), to pick up a few caches that we missed on our last trip.
This was a nice easy find, in the bush.
Thanks for the cache, TEAM WOMBAT.

Out today doing the caching I had planned for yesterday though prefer during the week as less kids around .
Silly me didn't put the park place in the gps so we overshot it and then turned around up the road to come back. A lovely walk in and cache was found in no time.
Find 8/26 for my efforts today and no dnf's

[:(!] After church we had nothing on our agenda so we decided to do an afternoon of caching and this was one of them, parked the geocar as close as possible to GZ and walked in from there, on arrival at GZ the cache was in hand in a matter of minutes.

Just one more! I was telling my little offsider on the way here. Having already found a few caches prior to coming he was ready to call it quits. He was super pleased i saved the biggest for last. We made quick work of this one, having recently been in the area for another cache i couldnt believe we missed it. We made a small swap, signed the log and returned the cache, covering it a little better. Thanks for the cache team wombat, and the lovely morning walk.
Mum bought me out to find this today, i ran ahead with the gps. I think i took the hard way in, under trees and through weeds, it was easier on the way out. I like the nice big box.
Thanks wombat for the cache.

Thought while we were down this way we would grab this as it was only 180m away and have driven past many times, saying "Must stop and get this" .... with a chorus of "no" from the teens in the back!" Today - no excuse we were there and we we found it!!!

Please excuse the copy and paste of these logs, (mum - CassidyFamily is logging them for us) we had a great day out and walk around the lake, a long walk around the lake!!. All were easy finds with a race to find them first. Then a nice quick easy working out of the finale and quick find by B!! PLUS I learnt how to add in the coords for a waypoint - Thanks Mum
This was just 180m away from another of todays caches so off we went.

Today while out caching I lost my gold ring. This cache was one of 4 I visited today. This ring was given to me by my mother. It is a solid gold band with stars around it. There is also a date on the inside of the ring i'm not 100% sure of the exact date but i'm sure it had __/__72 (this is the date it was given to my mother). if anyone happens to find it please contact me Janine on 0424824735.

Nice easy little walk to start the morning of 'hunting'.As a visiting kiwi I am ever hopeful of a wild life sighting out this way, but nothing yet. Swapped an NZ pen for a cute little wombat TFTC
After an unexpected find on a nearby archived TEAM WOMBAT cache, this was the only other one we had planned for the day. We parked at the nearby trail head, and made our way towards GZ, with Master 1 in tow, munching away on his cookie . We were soon at what seemed to be an old house or building site, and were sad to see that some people thought that this would be a good place to dump rubbish
We followed the GPS'r to GZ, and the cache was easily spotted from a short distance away. We hadn't realised that this container had only recently been replaced, so it was a nice surprise to find it in such pristine condition . After reading through some old log entries, we added our name to the book, grabbed the new GC (thank you [^]), and re-hid it a little better, and out of sight
