#2835 This is my day 267, and the longest physical cache find streak so far. I want to see how far I go. I am on a family vacation in Australia. After visiting Brisbane and Tasmania, now we are in South Australia.I came here just because it had some trackbles inside. I did not check the description or the picture. When I came here, I pulled over right at GZ. I actually walked around and under a couple of times but did not see any cache. Then I saw a picture from a finder and then found the cache right next to where I parked. Finally, I got the cache name. I was actually worried about where to get some aloe because I got sunburn from yesterday's walk on Granite Island. It was perfect that geocaching led me right to the solution. On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. I’ll leave the more interesting detailed log to Mrs Geo (aka: SeasonedBird, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird or Angry Bird) because she writes so much more eloquently than I and usually has much more time to do so while I’m driving. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC Southern Cross Caching

Out and about caching around the Fleurieu Peninsula while staying in Victor Harbor on holidays. This cache was one that was found today. After some owner maintenance, dropped past to make the find today. All good here and thanks to the CO for their ongoing maintenance.

TFTC Southern Cross Caching!
Today I headed to VH and surrounds for a caching day.
Visitors coming to stay unexpectedly meant some frantic housework before I could leave home (they probably didn’t even notice ) so my 8.30 departure became 10.30 but there was a curry in the slow cooker and my house was the cleanest it’s been in weeks!
My goal had been to find 45 caches sadly this ended up being only 27 finds and 4 dnfs. Had a mint day out though the coast was looking beautiful and there was so much bird life to be seen.
Had a lovely cake and coffee in Goolwa and was please with my haul.
Spent a while here but came away with a dnf I am rubbish with cacti. Lots of rabbits seen TFTH

"Listen very carefully, I shall say this only once..."
Drove along this way with Purrfect Di & Jack.
Combined a relaxing spa getaway with a bit of caching fun
Found your cache along the way.
We saw some DNF logs. We approached the site with some trepidation and were not let down.
Even Brad may have cried at this !!! A very good disguise. An oldie. No longer a black sistema though.
Lucky for us, after about two minutes of intensive prickle bush staring, we spotted a glimpse of some colour.
Reachable. Dry. Above the rabbit homes. Well protected from the winds...
Possible the rabbit from Caerbannog may have friends here. Someone has taken a bite out of the cache.
But the contents were dry and intact. We added a bag we had to help it last a while longer.
Appreciation goes to Allchin / Southern Cross Caching for placing and maintaining this one

This cache was found and logged using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or sometimes with just plain old dumb luck!

Stay safe when caching. Watch for snakes, random cliffs, wild goats, bulldust, and lightning,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins... but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]
Make sure Travel Bugs are the only ones you share and pass on
2020 turned into 2020won, and 2020too is on the way! 2020free should see us through
Still important to observe social distancing when possible, (150 nano caches apart should do it)
Still important to wash your hands (always has been really [:o)]
Still very important to look after each other and take precautions & get checked out for even the tiniest sniffle or cough, or unexpected headache! [8)] [B)]
Still even more important to get some fresh air and exercise while we can, so get out and cache the country!
Thanks so much to all those placing caches out and about away from the city crowds,
keeps our game safe and interesting

Found during a trip to Victor Harbor for the day, finding a mixture of traditionals, multis, puzzles and adventure caches. With so many caches in the southern Fleurieu Peninsula, it's going to take many a visit to make a significant impression on the map. Thanks for the cache Southern Cross Caching!
With restrictions about to ease even further, I think we can safely enable our caches for people to start finding again. Please remember to practice safe hygiene measures while out an about, remain safe and most importantly, have fun.
Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Hello everyone, in these terrible times and with the current government directive for people to stay at home unless it’s essential. We’ve made a decision to take our caches off-line to stop temptation and encourage people to stay home. If this goes longer than the allowable 2 weeks period and geocaching hq decide to archive them, then so be it. But let’s hope this is over as soon as possible with as little damage as possible, so we can all get on with our lives this great game in the conditions we are accustomed to.
Cheers and stay safe and healthy,
Shane and Josie

Found while I was in the area chasing a FTF. I ended up with 3 FTFs and over 20 finds on a hot day. When I saw the GZ I was going to keep driving but I stopped to have a quick look and found it quite quickly. TFTC

Fed up with being surrounded by vehicles and people, have headed to the backroads for a bit before calling it a day. With only the galahs and sheep for company it was a quick find. Cache #3047.
LATE LOG from 10/3/19 sorry i got ill and didnt log heaps for ages. only catching up - travelled with a snake and a rat. TYFTC SLTNLN
We cringed when we arrived at this location. Were these the cousins of Big Bad Brad? Thankfully the CO had been considerate and the cache was located quite quickly without an encounter with the prickles. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Allchin for the cache and to those who maintain this and other caches.
A plan hatched with Skuzzybear and Blackadders, to help The SA Sewer Rats to get their 500 multis.
We also did some puzzles and Trads.
Arrived at GZ, oh no! prickly things.
Skuzzybear soon found the cache.
We had fun and laughter.

A mission to get SA Sewer Rats a number of Multi caches to fulfill a challenge and any others that we passed saw the Adder, Bear and Rat down south. The cache was found safe and sound. TFTC
We arrived at GZ and saw, lots of little imitation BBB's, just not as nasty. We had a quick browse hoping to see the cache or an indication of the cache. Nope. Time to rely on our trusty GPS and she showed where we needed to look and a nice bright cache was soon spotted. SL TFTC
A Victor Harbor day trip consisting of a variety of geocache collections. Following a parkrun, it was on to a trek over to Granite Island for the event with Queenslanders, webcam, Earthcaches and traditional caches, before then heading back over to the mainland collecting a few caches that Laighside Legends had not found. This included the Brian 60th puzzle series. A bakery lunch and a few more caches later, and it was late enough to head back to Adelaide. Perfect summer weather day to be around the beach!
A cool patch of these aloe arborescens indeed. The bushes were in hibernation mode and so didn't have alot of colour of those red flower brush things, so would be keen to come back in another season to see it in its entirety. There was a group of cow muggles behind the plants that were keen in watching my movements, and evidently I didn't pose any threat to them. I spent 5 min looking for the cache before making the find, thanks mogni for helping with the maintenance of this container; I think it helped, cheers Allchin.

After attending the Seaside Event, mogni wanted to have a go and finding this nemesis cache. We had 3 pairs of eyes and in the end, it was mogni that made the find using her trusty torch. The container needed some TLC and mogni provided a new container and the cache is good to go for another few years at least.

I have visited here twice before but today was different, this time I found a cache. Sadly it was falling apart but a quick check in the geomobile and a new cache was in hand. It should be easier to spot now.
Thanks

found with Aussie M&M and mogni after the seaside ten event. We came back here since mogni wanted to turn this one in to a smiley. We looked around, we re looked with torches and sticks, we turned up a cache. This is one that would have been put in the back burner if i was going here solo.
TFTC Allchin. Found pretty quickly whilst looking out for snakes. Thanks for bringing me here
A cloudy overcast day. This took longer than it should, but eventually found. TFTC
Out with 3LG, hevwalker & KKrafter after the nearby event.
We arrived & groaned at this huge familiar looking plant.
It was dark by now & torches were produced.
Most of our GPS took us left, which ended up being incorrect.
3LG made the find, thanks for the tricky hide Allchin& southern Cross Caching

After the always awesome Seaside event, I went back home through some of the back roads to pick up a couple of older caches. Having just done the cemetery cache down the road, I headed to this one, which piqued my interest with the name, and a certain BBC comedy I used to binge watch a lot in my younger days.
Good Moaning little cache! Found easily enough and was able to be extracted and replaced without drawing any blood. TFTC Allchin!

Thanks.
Thanks.
A nice quick find as we drove through the area today. We were taking a bit of a drive down memory lane here today, as Mrs J's brother used to live not far from here. It was always a fun visit when we came out this way.
The cache could do with a bit of maintenance, but is holding up reasonably well despite all the recent rain.
Thanks Allchin.
