Solved this puzzle quite a while ago but only got around to looking for it tonight - Guess I left it too late!
With the recent floods, as Facitman indicated, this will require maintenance and replacement at least.

Just catching up with logging this one. I also did not find at this location and spent a fair bit of time looking for it. It may have gone.
I should have thought of this cache earlier, but it wasn't until today that Mrs Facit and I walked this path post flooding. My check of the hiding location showed it like others on this creek was hidden well under water level achieved last weekend. Sorry but no sign of the container.
Hiding location did fair better than the sister cache......

2nd of the evening with the full HillTribe compliment. School holidays must be getting boring. A little concerned when geojuniors approached very steep bank, but a few stern words and they were directed to the right side. Quick find from there. Thanks for the puzzle. TNLN
Found today while I was having a Glen Iris cache clean out. Thanks, all is in good order at the cache
Found @ 1615. Had to wait out a couple of billy-goats but got there in the end. TNLNSL - TFTC.
Find #14. Found with (geo-Dad) SirJ-Oz.
Now that I have my own account, I'm back-logging my finds.

Found @ 14:00 by my eldest geocachelette (her first find). Solved the coords a while back, but wanted to take my Dora fan with me. Took purse, left bouncy ball, SL. Cool hide. TFTC.
Enlisted the help of Delicate to find this one.. Was good to have him correct my wrongs, and correct my guesses aswell.. Great Cache, was expecting it to be roughly where it was, but not precisely where it was.. Thanks Hayjagen,

The riddles were quickly solved and the cache hide is pretty straight forward. Very cool. So this troll was no real challenge, and made up for the struggles with the other one.

Found with Uno this afternoon. Liked the hiding spot and the cache container. Good walk and area. thanks hayjagen
23rd of 30 for the night on another crazy caching run with my good mate Marty (Quasar3671). Solved this one in the car while driving around to a few other caches. Found the hide at an interesting GZ. The hollow structure at GZ when you look inside would make a great cubby house for kids. TFTC.
Out on a night caching run with good mate (Blacklegend17). Solved while caching tonight. Liked the quizzes. Found GZ and the cool hide containing the cache. Thanks for the hide.
Lots of water flow under the bridge on this wet day.
Good hide had me going for quite a while looking on both side of the creek and almost slipped in. I found it just as I was about to give up.
An enjoyable puzzle and hunt.
Thanks Team Hayjagen

On Thursday night when I was trying to work out where I would go caching while on my way to work in the morning I noticed this puzzle. Was able to quickly work out the answers to the questions to come up with a GZ location.

Couldn't find this one today.
Reached in a lot of awkward and spidery places but had no luck.
I had an aunt and uncle who lived in nearby Solway Street when I was a child and I was pretty familiar with this area.
It's a lot nicer now than it was then.
The council or Melbourne Water or whoever have done a fantastic job beautifying the creek and surroundings, and providing the facilities such as the trail and bridges.
Thanks for placing a cache here.

Found @ 10.30am, #322.
Worked this one out a while ago but hadn't had a chance to get there until today, dropped the wife at chadstone and off we went for a few finds.
Arrived at GZ and had to wait for a few muggles to clear the area, then the search was on, had a look on the gps for the cache discription but it was not there, I hadn't loaded the GPX File only the final coordinates, o'well I have the important bit, within no time at all we had the cache in hand, signed log and had to wait for more muggle before we could replace it.

Looked every where but the most obvious place which is of course where we found the Trolls treasures TFTC says Team Schnuffi
Used to cycle and walk round here on our way for ice-cream - had never taken the time to have a good look around - what a great place to have a gate in your back fence. Think we might have spotted the actual grumpy old troll - glad he was out for a walk and the rats were tucked up in bed. Thanks for a cool cache.
Great adventure find for geo-dad and geo-pre-schooler. Didn't need a torch in the end, but, would have liked to remembered my gloves.
Haven't been caching for a while, so finally had a chance to drop off a TB.
Haven't been caching for a while, so finally had a chance to drop off a TB.
Finally came back to find this one, and realised my original coordinates were way off (so just as well) Found the cache quickly at the right place, a little whiffy at GZ from rodents but cache is fine. Left a yellow golfball found when doing the Yarra Swim cache SL TFTC.
Solve this ones the night before knowing I will be heading past the area. At first I could not find the cache and when I worked out where it might be I grabbed my torch. Not what I expected to be doing in the daylight. TFTC
GMelb had a day off today so this was the 4th cache for the day on our crawl towards the Lion's Den !!
This was a cool hiding spot!
We had a lovely walk to this cache (we took the long way) and saw a Mother Duck with 2 ducklings
(will post a photo later when the camera battery has recharged!)
TN Left mini purse with $1 coin

Okay, we admit it, we have kids, so the reason we went looking for this one was because of 'Dora the Explorer' and 'Mickey Mouse Clubhouse'. (There was a donald duck travel bug in the cache.) Left domino, took donald duck travel bug, left big bird travel bug for the next cacher. TFTC
Had to wait for a group to move on before we could swoop in to grab the cache. Left 2 TBs. TFTC
Tricky extraction. Used Mrs Walenator's long stick technique with success. Signed log, left nothing, took a friendly spider on shirt!

No trouble at this one, the gps led me straight to the nice hiding spot, I watched a guy with a special pole retrieve his gold ball from the creek. thanks for the cache.
We googled most of our answers to this cache the night before and found a likely location. The hardest part was to find a parking spot. After that we grabbed the cache in between bike riders. I think a few of them thought I had a fainting spell or something and it was a good cover up. Thanks Team Hayjagen for the cache.
Fast move to retrieve and replace, as dog walkers/cyclists were out and about today.

After being confined at home after a hip replacement there wasn't too much to do so I tried solving some mysteries and this was one I was actually able to do but today was the first chance we have had to come pick up the cache. We had to wait for an appropriate break in the muggle traffic and were very happy to find it where the GPSr said it would be.
TNLNSL
We then had a pleasant stroll back to the car

this a verry challenging cache it is hidden perfectly. Try your hardest and be persistant
1st Ashburton Scouts introduction to geocaching, and my first find too! Although they had little trouble (but a lot of fun) collectively solving the clues, the GPS on my phone was a harder to use, and led us astray (user error, no doubt). As time started running short, we abandoned it and just used intuition, which lead us relatively quickly to the cache. They LOVED the decoration of the box itself, opening it and finding the assortment of objects, each with its own story was a magical experience.
Thanks so much, Team Hayjagen! And I am so relieved to find out geocaching is not an Internet hoax after all (I have been looking for the odd cache sporadically over a period of years, but never seriously enough to find anything).

What a curious hiding spot. I'm sure some of our answers were a little off but it was still an easy find. TNLNSL
~14:45 King Jnr while my prince was playing in the playground. I tell you what if I ever get kicked out of home there are worse places to become a grumpy old troll. I didn't get all the numbers correct but still an easy find. Thank Team Hayjagen
Given the trouble we finally realised we were having with our iPhones I am amazed we found this cache at all! We found it by sheer fluke making serious guesses. Google Maps had us walking around in circles - gps blind!
Out this Genrow1966 and discovered our beloved iphones (upgraded yesterday) have Googlemaps putting you on the nearest road to the cache. Not much good for geocaching. However, I think we were too busy chatting and generally enjoying the glorious winter day when an obvious spot for the cache lay before us... and, well there it was! TFTC
Found at 15:45 while on a bit of a bike ride close to home. Good to get this one solved, as it was one of the closer ones that was standing out for completion. With a bit of research on golf last night, I was sure I had the right co-ordinates and sure enough I had the cache in hand after a short search. It certainly does require a torch, so lucky I had my bike light. 'Tis my first completed "puzzle" cache as well.
I've cycled over this bridge a zillion times, especially since moving to the Glen Iris/Ashburton area and never knew there was a Grumpy Ol' Troll living underneath! Thanks hayjagen.

Lots of grumpy ol' trolls here! After doing the other cache, we decided we just had time to do this one too, and in fact it wasn't located too far from where we had parked the car. It was very pleasant walking around here, watching the ducks and generally relaxing. Thanks for both caches. Took the Puzzle TB to move along.
Located this one while on holidays from Brisbane.
It was is good excuse for a bike ride around the area.

Forgot this was a mystery...had me scratching my head for a while until I noticed that I could also navigate to a waypoint that I'd previously calculated. No problems finding...interesting hide.
Found by Mary & David at 1640. Had fun with the puzzle, then had to wait for the right opportunity to visit GZ. A lovely walk from our car parking spot. How sensible to separate the riders' and walkers' lanes too. No wonder the troll is grumpy - someone has dumped a load of junk mail at his front door. Our thanks to Team Hayjagen.
A fairly quick find after a dash in from the road. Hid there whilst muggles walked overhead. Cheers Gav [3000]
Found this one with Moneydork, Tofska , Rediguana and ADV during our Australian caching holiday.
Some tricky questions but thought I had them sussed, not quite though, had to re-visit one of them - how could I not see that?
Many thanks for the puzzle and cache.

Team GPS.org.nz Cache Raid: some cunning questions there. I question the purpose of the cache's home, as I have not come across one like that before. T4TC, M@
Found this one at 16:40 while on the way home from a lecture south of here. I had figured out the answer the night before and thankfully the Grumpy Old Troll gave up its treasure quite quickly so I must have guessed correctly . A clever puzzle and a clever hide.

An early morning find for me on my way to a day of work... if I've gotta work on Saturday, then I may as well start out with something fun.
The things I do to get a smiley! I would never have stuck my hands into places like this before geocaching, but as this one is a rare D/T combination for TWRC competition, I did it anyway, and came up with the goods. Also found a golfball while I was reaching for the cache!
Thanks for the scary hide!

I worked our the co-ords for the GZ after I got home on my visit a month ago. No problems today. T took the 'Cactus' TB and left the 'Rosalie' TB. Thanks for the cache team.
Found @ 12:50. Answered the questions and calculated GZ. That can't be right. Checked the questions again. Found mistake. GZ looked promising. Cache soon in hand shortly after. TFTC

Found at 1515. No problem in solving the puzzle, and today I had the chance and time to stop by and pick this one up. A lovely little walking track. I have seen plenty of grumpy old trolls in my time, but glad to report that there were none at GZ.
Thanks.
Thanks.

A nice esy find for this little goat this afternoon. There was no troll at home and no slithery friends either (thank goodness). A little dirty now, but nothing that the washing machine won't fix on Friday.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks Team Hayjagen for this cache today. Even though the cache was a little not exactly what I expected, it should stay nice and dry in it's hiding place (well, until the creek rises again).

We found our 1st Hayjagen cache at 11:15am as the 1st of 19 on our "Day after the GEGP" caching tour of the Inner Eastern Suburbs. The rain did not deter us nor the tricky 'catch me if you can' puzzles needed to solve the GZ location. This was not the intended first cache of the day but as things pan out, it ended up being so. The first thing we found at GZ was a wad of adverising flyers. The next was the cache which was right next to them. Thanks for the cache from D,H & A B-A.
Found with Fearthertop on a Fine morning. Between us we were confident of the answers and once at gz the cache was an easy Find in a rather different spot. Thanks Team Hayjagen. Saw at least one of the TB's but we weren't at all sure that we would be able to help them.
Alansee and I had independently come up with the same answers so we were more than confident of success as we approached a likely hiding spot. I must say that in all my caching I have not come across an example of this particular hide. It was a great spot.
TNLN thanks team Hayjagen.

On the plains of the Serengeti there were two lions and one dinosaur and they liked to play with each other. The lion’s names were Simba and his not so cleaver brother Dimba. Their friend Dino thought he was a lion but he was actually a dinosaur. They were very playful until there was an earthquake and then Simba slipped onto a log and said, ‘help, help!!!’ The river took him out to the sea when he got to land he was in United States; Texas to be exact. Team Hayjaygen have found Dimba and Dino in Australia and need your help to get back to see Simba again. They are on a race to Texas and need to go to all the continents (except Antarctica) to the Defenders of Freedom (GC1DKKT ) cache in Bowie, Texas. So please, can you help Dimba & Dino get back to see Simba.

I only had time for a quick visit today, so this cache was logged and I'll have to return for its mate. I enjoyed the simplicity of the puzzle, I even had another finder query some of the answers with me. The place was surprisingly muggle free this morning so I was able to enjoy the nice views uninterupted.
Thanks,

We did both of the Grumpy series togeather which turned out to be very smart (but not deliberate)
I had just completed a Brisbane mystery with the "F's" in it so I didn't get caught by that a second time.
A nice hide with no muggle problems at 10pm.
Thanks, Robmc.

Glad to find this one and it's mate without too much difficulty which was nice due to the rather low temperature at the hour we arrived. GZ is a bit of a scary spot to arrive at late at night in the dark though.
Thanks for the challenge
Thanks for the challenge
I answered the questions when the cache was first released and went out today to test how well I did. Fortunately, the answers must have been correct as my GPS led me directly to it. I made no exchange, but did grab the geocoin for a short trip. Thanks for the cache.
Found 200806281655 . Much to Facitman's amusement I made this one a lot more difficult than it needed to be [B)]. Once I looked properly (during a lull in the muggle traffic) the well stocked cache was found

There's nothing like a couple of caches on the way to work to get the day off to a good start . It was rather windy this morning, but at least it didn't look like rain, so a bit of a detour on the way from Mitcham to Hawthorn was in order. Fortunately, motor bikes don't have parking problems and I was able to park within a few metres of a very convenient spot to do the two new caches in the area. I've done a few caches along Gardiner's Creek now and find it remarkable how what was once just a dirty, polluted old drain has now become such a delightful linear park and waterway . After a pleasant stroll along the creek, the cache was a nice, easy find in a good spot (although that spot may prove attractive to kids hanging around in the area too!).
TNLN, but did exchange geocoins

Found 13:35, I had solved the puzzle and was confident in my solution. However in my haste to leave the house I had forgotten to load either the published or corrected co-ordinates into the GPS, so I had to ring a friend and get the published co-ords (thanks Muzza). Then working from memory it was only a short stroll to GZ where the cache was quickly found

Found by Facitman and the Facit Family at 10:40am
Whooo Hooo *FTF*
Timing is an interesting thing. Normally on a Saturday afternoon the Facit's are all home after a busy morning so the publishing of two caches close to home would have generated much activity, but this Saturday Facitman was off watching football so the new caches were not discovered until after dark and no amount of pleading from the facitettes was going to get us out looking in the dark! This morning the cache page still was log-less so it was agreed that a walk down the creek was the plan, but the constant rain delayed our departure until Mrs Facit finally said "We've got coats, how wet can we get?"
The Facitettes had studied the clues and determined a set of co-ordinates so we parked near GZ after abandoning the idea of a walk from home. Short walk to GZ showed that a bit of rain does not deter muggles with golfers, cyclists, joggers and walkers in fair numbers (all very very wet), s-facit retrieved the cache after a brief search and we were pleased to find a FTF certificate on top of the cache contents.
Took certificate
Left Australia to Denmark Race Coin - "reichl#8 - Satellite Series Geocoin"
Thanks Team Hayjagen for a bit of fun on a Sunday morning

Found at 3.20pm GAFF3. Good to see some caches popping up around these very impressive linear parks. They are the next best thing to being in the bush!
Some of the questions took a bit of extra thinking time as you have to be very literal in the reading - and that "d" question
Thanks Team Hayjagen for well executed puzzle/multi.

Having grown up very near here, we know this area very well. We were in the area visiting my mother this morning with all the necessary details, around the time Facitman et al found the cache, but we were not adequately equipped for the the weather and decided to try later in the day.
The cache was found at about 1700 in a most interesting spot after a short search. Geogirl wanted the US coin so we took that and left a ring. Also collected a TB and listmaker's pathtag.
Thanks Team Hayjagen - very nice first cache.
