This one needs a new container and possibly a change of terrain.

Walking back to our hotel, we passed by this cache so decided to stop for a quick find. Sorry to say it’s not in good condition. The container itself is missing and all that remains is a wet plastic bag with a log sheet inside. I’d also question the terrain 1 - I doubt a wheelchair-bound cacher could retrieve this. TFTC, Big Friend. =^.^=

#7610 - 16:35; Last full day in Singapore, so the geohoney and I set off to see a few of the sights we had on the 'to do' list, but which we had not yet managed to get to. After a visit to the Merlion, we set off across the Jubilee Bridge and back, then to The Fullerton, along Boat Quay and then a spot of lunch at Clarke Quay before arriving at Bugis Street. After a spot of retail therapy, the geohoney continued on in that vein, while I did a final spot of caching for this visit. Collected this one on the return leg after collecting the nearby multi. Checked a couple of spots before locating the cache, but managed a find. TFTC Big Friend Smile

Me too! Probably the Alzheimer starts to emerge my friend! Not the heat as you mentioned in your logs. Anyway Singapore is still beautiful even if it is hot & humid (extremely) for us. And still reminds me my youth visit, 40 years ago, and my beloved Cita, I hope god blessed her for what se offered to me those 21 days.
And I love orchids. To bad I couldn't bring some back home...

3:49:00 PM: (33 of 41) Find#4182
Found with Tankengine on our Geocaching trip to Singapore from Canberra, Australia, travel around Singapore finding a little over 40 caches including puzzles , multis and Traditional caches , we also had an event which we met a few of the local cachers.
Day 3 After we stopped at the nearby Bugis markets and that was some experience we decide we would drag outselves to one more cache.. but the Parkview was an impressive building , but after shopping and walking of the last few days we deicded this would do us for the day and a short search we found it.

when i searched this container, one person was relaxing at this green spot...

Found just before we started off a journey of discovery in Arab St. Too sunny for anyone except mad geocachers to be here today. TFTC

The Parkview Square building is one of my favorite buildings in Singapore. Worth a visit just to look at the art deco architectural styling. TFTC!

CAme out here from Australia today, to do a long distance cache. The first one, earlier today, was Shire's Treasure #8. In the Shire - but that's the only problem. Haha, I arrived at the airport and they didn't have a seat for me. Standby! And since I am a gold frequent flyer, they were quite embarrassed and upgraded me to business class! That's how air traveling is nice! QF5!

Good, found my hotel nearby, everything smoothly - and nice warm! Relaxed a bit and then thought I must go to do it still that day. Luckily the cache was in my hands at 23:58 local time. That's planning! At GZ, the GPS jumped a bit - there were not may possibilities at the first place, so I checked the other two and here it was. Thanks, Big Fiend, for my first Singapore cache - my first Asian cache, so to say!

Had som good asian food - better don't ask what's in there - liver is fine... what else? and an interesting rice drink. pretty hot, the food here! Altogether, the whole thing reminds me a bit of Malaysia - Langkawi - a few years ago...

6292 km - hihi, that increases my long distance cache statistics....

Arriving and checking into our hostel we walked down to this cache to continue the consecutive-finds-holiday streak.
After spending the past 5 weeks in Japan and arriving in such a humid place it was a shock to the system!
Cache was a quick find.
Thanks Big Friend for this cache and replacing the logsheet.
Greetings from Australia.

#206: Nice, but Empty, Park.

As described on the cache page, not many people crossing the grass here, except two lonely figures, hunched over digital devices, occasionally looking up to see if anything looked suspicious Wink

Made the find pretty quickly, me and my n00bie friend.

10:00pm and there was a regular flow of muggles taking a short-cut across the lawn - perhaps because it was dark. I did the same, and even sat on it 150m away to sign logbook before discretely looping back to replace the cache. TFTC

I ventured out this way late at night, and ventured off the path for a quick find. I am amazed that this cache survives here, in Melbourne it would disappear within a few days of being in a place like this. I guess it's the SIngaporeans that don't like to step off the paved footpaths? Many thanks for another find in Singapore! Cheers from Australia.

In the area so would've been rude not to. TFTC

I was going to go after this cahce yesterday when I was out and about but I ran out of time. This made for a nice morning walk, albeit, a wet one. While the area around the cache is crawling with muggles it was still a pretty easy grab. My shoe needed tieing. TNLNSL. TFTC!

Parkview buliding is gorgeous.

You're right --- nobody was on the grass when I visited in any shape or form. The few people around stuck to the pavements. Easy to approach cache without being spotted.

Found this cache this morning and as you say there is NOBODY on this lawn.
However, that will not be the case this evening at 5pm when I hold a caching event in the middle of the park!

My GPS was awry, so widened my search and finally found it. Log was wet so I put a temporary log in plastic bag, and wet log outside plastic bag (all done well away from cache site). TFTC

3.27pm Singapore time Team:A
Find 3 for the day, in Singapore, it's quite a lot harder not knowing the lay of the land, or wether we are in the right place or not!! But as Gayle had been here before this pard was familiar, and low and behold we found it quite easily. Picked up a micro geo coin here, hope it wants to go to England or some place far from here.

First cache of the day with happy DecoyDog in tow! Hmm.. looks like it's very near one of our caches! Last time we were here, there was somebody practicing fly fishing - imagine that! Today there was a troop of people playing games and tug-of-war. On the other field, there were footballers. Guess you just have to catch them at the right time.
Easy LUNCH cache Wink. TFTC!

27-Jun-08
FTF ... Yippee! The plan was simple, skip lunch and get to this cache ASAP for FTF; it paid off. True enough, I was the only person walking off the pavement. Sigh, we need more GeoCachers here!

2nd to find. Yes, I know that I will not be the FTF as I arrived around 1340hrs. Got a feeling that there will be geocachers who are working near the area and are dying to be the FTF. Well done, Andreng! Would have gone lunch with you if you waited a little longer. Hee, hee, hee!Red Face SL, T4TC!
