16-May-16
As the area is not fenced off apparently the cache will need to be archived.

16-May-16
This old timber bridge is firmly fenced off by Wodonga Council as it considered dangerous, and "No Trespassing" signs erected. I think it should be archived, or moved to the new footbridge next to it.

23-Apr-16
Last found 4 seeks ago. Hmm sus for popular area

12-Apr-16
As the bridge is now closed this cache possibly needs relocating or attention at least

12-Apr-16
Searched the area, but sadly a DNF for us here today. [8)] Hopefully we were just cache blind again.Surprised

Thanks anyway mada1234

Beware of the large European wasp nest nearby. Will report it to coucil. TFTC.

Long drive north today this was a perfect spot to stretch the legs ... and exercise the brain! Have seen this style of cache before and this was an advantage for us. Loved it. You beauty! Worth a favourite! Thanks.

22-Nov-15
Omg what a very clever hide had to go back through all the comments to really get a good understanding where to look all i can say is its screwed

22-Nov-15
Out for a bike ride collecting some caches. Had given up on this one when the geoteen decided to go for a swim so after reading some comments and renewed determination we tried one last time and found it. No tool so didn't sign but tftc

09-Oct-15
My second visit for this one. The log is difficult to remove from the cache and definitely needs replacing. Greate cache, thank you.

04-Oct-15
Second attempt and found it! Lots of large skinks defending the cache so took a couple of attempts but well worth it. Such a creative cache. Thank you

26-Sep-15
After a long search we left disappointed, but we will be back

29-Aug-15
Yeeeressddddss!!!!! Found it in a screwed up location. Log cannot be retrieved.

26-Aug-15
This was definitely a very awesome hide. Firstly we took this hid from the wrong end, but quickly using a secondary path was able to get on the right "path". I'm glad the geoboyfriend was game enough to break the rules. We hunted high and low, under and over. We were ready to give up until we found another of those bloody magnets! Not sure who these belong too but great marketing ploy haha. Either way previous logs definitely helped. When geoboyfriend found it I definitely thought he had a screw loose.

Felt very rebellious. And don't worry people the bridge had been closed for years! (;

Log needs to be replaced, rusted and hard to write on.

23-Aug-15
totally failed to find this one sadly! ZQX and I spent a fair while combing the GZ, but you were too tricky for us this time. but it will go on my "must find" list for the next time I am in this neck of the woods,

23-Aug-15
Too good for AG27 and myself. We were very thorough, spending about 40 minutes at GZ, but still managed to miss the cache!

On a long weekend road trip with 88andy88. Took a while to locate this cheeky hide.

21-Aug-15
OzHockeyChick and I spotted this on the radar as we were doing the local search and thought this sounds interesting.....Now this was more of a challenge for OHC than me in the form of her being a slight bit queezy at bridges at the best of times so she challenged herself to make her way across said bridges to search for an interesting cache. Now i searched high and low and far and wide and i came up with just stuntman skills where as OHC kept her search refined and calculated and came up with the sneaky little hide.....Very proud of her fighting her fears and also finding this sneaky cache...Great camo .....very impressed....

Out caching with Jaminappleford on ANZAC day in the rain. The log is a bit damaged. Clever hide! TFTC

06-Apr-15
2 of us spent about half an hour under the bridge as the construction fencing makes it very clear that the bridge deck is out of bounds. All we found was a sleeping possum.

03-Apr-15
3rd time lucky. didn't expect it to be hidden where it was due to the bridge being closed. enjoyed this cache tho. very creative. TFTC

28-Mar-15
Cheeky hide but quick find. Clever cache!

Great hide! Found it with little effort.

14-Mar-15
So good. Get in quick because this might be getting knocked down soon by the looks of things.

07-Mar-15
Very clever hide, but an easy find. TFTC.

02-Mar-15
I rolled up to this delightful riverside spot and spent a good half hour poking around for a cache Razz
No luck !! So I rode off to find some more caches elsewhere.
I couldn't resist another look on me ride back to Wodonga .... same result Sad

Bother !!

Now I have checked the past finder's logs, I realise that I was in completely the wrong spot and needed to search the "Neutral Zone" [:o]
I couldn't !! There was a maintenance muggle inspecting the suspension bridge !! [:o]

26-Jan-15
Awesome find took a bit to find but got there!!!

24-Jan-15
Being as short and as out-of-shape as Teags is, it was Mez's time to shine while searching for this cache. After 15 minutes of climbing about, looking at random objects, and serious discussion, the cache was discovered. Hoorah! Definitely a great cache. Thanks mada1234!

Amazing spot, absolutely blown away by the creativity and effort of this one. Easily favourite cache so far, gone are the eclipse tins stuck on a pole TFTC

22-Oct-14
Well I couldn't get near it as my GPS wanted to take me to the old bridge which is most definitely out of bounds! If your geocache is anywhere near the bridge, its no longer accessible.

05-Oct-14
anything with that many favorites is worth a try. so try we did. a bit tricky getting in then a tricky find. worth a favourite. tftc.

17-Sep-14
Got close to the location but apparently this requires some gymnastic and athletic abilities beyond our likes. This one was locked up tight.

01-Sep-14
I looked all around this structure, and it was only after reading a couple of logs mentioning the work being carried out, and the fences in place, that I ventured on deck. Took a little time to spot something 'not quite right' and it definitely deserves all the faves so far. Adding to the tally, thanks mada1234, love the work here.

10-Aug-14
Tried to get this about six months ago with no luck. Sad
Please do not archive this one.....a great cache....a great hide! Big Grin
Perhaps the terrain value needs adjusting upwards with the changed conditions.
SL. TFTC.

05-Aug-14
Found after some minor rule breaking.

14-Jun-14
I was checking out the new suspension bridge today and thought I'd check this cache out as well. It is still accessible but it does require a climb to get to it now. Still in great condition, bring some tweezers to retrieve the log sheet though.
It would be a real shame if this gets archived.

17-Apr-14
Had another try for this one but the old bridge is now completely blocked off so I am assuming the cache is no longer accessible. The CO will need to check and maybe archive this one.

10-Feb-14
I had this cache in my hand once and put it back without realising. Half an hour later i had another look and realised what i was holding was the cache, amazeballs! My favourite cache yet. SUPER TFTC.

05-Jan-14
Well what a great cache to bring up number 300. I love a old stock bridge, there used to be one were I was a kid. The fact that we found this without much drama perhaps signifies we have passed out geocaching apprenticeship , we used to be hopeless , missing heaps but have slowly improved, great hide thanks for the effort, fav from us

13-Dec-13
Stopped here on a Lithgow to Melbourne run on the recommendation of Shogun-. I have seen something similar not so long ago and so it didn't take too long to locate the cache. I had a devil of a job getting it open amd the log sheet out. Luckily I had the perfect caching toolkit... the work ute.
Job done it was an easy return and a spot of maintainance tightening the retaining device.
It doesn't look like this structure will be here much longer with a shiny steel replacement taking shape nearby... but think of all the places you could hide a magnetic nano!

05-Nov-13
Lots of searching and actually had the log in hand and discounted it. 2nd look showed the log. Didn't have our tool so couldn't get the log roll out. TFTC!

04-Nov-13
A very spongy old bridge! But an easy cache in a pretty spot. TFTC

04-Nov-13
Is this it? Nah, we've already looked there! R u sure? Yep! Then why does it have a log in it? Haha found it in the exact spot cristabel & geoson had already ruled out! No hope of getting the log out. Without giving too much away the edge of the paper was stuck in the grooves & we would have needed a tool to remove it in one piece to SL. Took pic of it instead. Great location for a cache. Neat hide! TFTC Smile

Very nice spot - very nice hide! THanks M4321!

Found with Mr_Roo, and Captain Tomato on our blitz 3 day visit from Canberra (and two of those days were mostly driving). This was our last day, and we grabbed a quick few caches on the way home.

27-Jul-13
Took some looking but eventually found it. Log was difficult to get out, but managed in the end.
Great hide! Thanks Smile

14-Feb-13
Dropped in today and placed a new log sheet in.

03-Feb-13
After a DNF here some time ago, we pretty much walked straight to it today! [^]. A clever hide none the less. The log sheet is getting a bit tatty and is quite hard to extract without some sort of tool - it is almost full as well. The river looks very healthy and there were a couple of fisherpersons trying their luck. Too cool for swimming, but the cyclists were taking advantage of the pleasant 23 degree morning. SL at 12 noon. #1446

11-Jan-13
Very clever!

Was drowning some worms nearby, the fish weren't interested so I stopped fishing and grabbed this one. SL TFTF

We decided to have a quick trip into Victoria for the weekend to find some caches, so that we could have some colour on the map for that state. This was actually a quick find for us as we used to have a container just like this one. Very clever! TNLNSL TFTC

Found 2:27pm , find # 1739
Today we had a sight seeing day around Albury, combined with caching. Well, rather we had a caching day which lead us to see lots of the local sights.
This cache was number find # 10 of 15 for the day.
Enjoyed this location very much. Lots of interest for us here.
Nice cache construction, There are a lot basically like this around this area, but this one had it's unique style.
Thanks mada1234,

18-Nov-12
Last time i came here the bridge was completely fenced off, it is good to see it has been fixed to allow cyclists and walkers across. As others have said we had an idea of what we would be looking for on arrival but there were still so many options. Mrs 2755 came up with the find and signed the log.

Micheena - Okay worked out what to look for, but which one. Thanks to Yullaba female, soon had it signed and replaced. Great cache.

27-Oct-12
Well where do we start, is it here or is it there? We just had to start being methodical. After a bit of a search Mrs Yullaba came up with the goods. A great hide , Thanks for bringing us here Definitely earns a favourite

I was determined to find this cache first go! Such a fantastic cache thanks for the hide!

26-Jul-12
Wow what a cool cache! After approaching GZ from the wrong side of the bridge (that was closed off with 8 ft fencing topped with barbed wire, I successfully negotiated my way around the obstacle by scaling the side of the bridge. One clear of the fence, I climbed back onto the bridge and made my way over to GZ. Upon getting a zero reading on the ps, I commenced my search. I started on the underside of the bridge without success. After deciding to call it quits I made my way back onto the bridge to head back to the car, as I did something caught my eye. Ah ha! After retrieving the cache I quickly signed the log and returned it to its hide.

I really liked this cache and one day wold like to own or have access to the necessary machinery to manufacture ones inspired by this.

This is the first time we have visited the Albury-Wodonga area and it took us some time to negotiate our way to this location. Our car GPS had no idea and wanted to send us in impossible directions. Once in the area we quickly navigated our way to GZ. We began to search looking for objects which were consistent with the hint. After a few minutes of searching something a little odd was noticed. Further exploration revealed the cache in a container we had not seen before. We had seen simpler versions but not one with this high level of construction. The cache and its contenst were in good condition. Thanks for a great cache and hide mada1234.

# 563. I dragged Robmc along for another look for this one. I had unsuccessfully tried in the pouring rain that celebrated the 29th of February but then as now the GPS was all over the place with no close GZ pinpointed. The REALLY annoying thing is that then as today I had already had my hand on the cache but to no avail. I turned around and Robmc was handing it to me. So annoying but I will take it and am pleased not to have to come back again. TFTC mada1234

Couldn't leave a find without being able to log it!!! Returned later in the day with tweezers and a pen Smile The new log must be thicker than the old one. Thanks for the cache.

24-Apr-12
Found it but couldn't remove the log!!! We will make another trip out when it's not raining and log the find once the log is signed.

OZ MEGA 2012 Easter Caching Capers with SCX.
We had heard this was a great cache and it was very challenging. We loved the location and enjoyed the walk across the bridge to GZ. We had Wilbert67 with us and he had not found it the day before either. SXC must have had very good sense today as he basically put his hand stright on it. Thankfully.... as it is a great hide and could have taken us ages.

We're still here for a few more days after the MEGA and GMelb did some caching in the early morning then came back to the Holiday House and we all set of for a day at Beechworth, however we wanted to stop to find this one first. We were driving towards GZ when we had to stop as there was a caterpillar in front of us ..... lol No not a crawly creature but a great big machine that stopped in the middle of the road... However there were no workmen to be seen. We made our way to GZ and started looking and looking and looking when JMelb had the eagle eyes this time. We then realised we didnt have a pen so GMelb went back to the car and the workmen arrived back to the caterpillar at the same time. They told him that the scoop thingy had literally broken right off and the machine was stuck and they had come back with a recovery machine lol! G came back and we had a little trouble extracting the log but we finally got it out and signed it, replaced it and came back past the machinery. We then told the workmen about geocaching
TFTC mada1234, very cool cache and we will add a Fave Point once we have one (we owe about 8 now!!) lol

This took a little longer that it perhaps should have as we were distracted on approach by the obvious cacher-highway underneath the bridge instead of relying on the GPSR and our own instincts. Thanks Madda1234 for a well constructed hide - we appreciate the effort you went to to make it.

On our return to Albury after the Yackandandah Flash Mob, it was unbelievable to see the transformation of the Equestrian Centre back to its equine guise.
What an amazing contrast in river crossings in this area! Nicely constructed cache.

Glad we didnt listen the the in car Nav on this one as she had this marked as a drive by, We parked at the other end and walked across until the GPSr read 2 meters. We began the hunt and after a small assesment we noticed something... with a twist and turn we had the cache in hand and were signing the log. This one is certainly clever and at a beautiful spot.

I had a great day out geocaching with MoorooducRobbos and Debs22 while attending Oz mega. Thanks for the awesome company, ladies, and the great locus caches we completed Smile

This was a clever cache hide although maybe not quite as good as Snake Gully Bridge in SA (if you ever get there, try and do that cache).
Loved the view and the history.
