thought i would have a look anyway, since i was in the area.... but found some trinkets, but no cache.....
oh well... it got me out of the house.

The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation this in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.
Five DNFs and no finds over a nine month period, a disgusting rubbish dump at ground zero, a Needs Maintenance Log seven months ago with no response, and another Needs Maintenance Log two months ago with no response, and the owner hasn't visited since Friday, 04 June 2010.
It's definitely time for this one to be archived.

I wish I had taken the time to read the previous log entries before driving out there. I hope I am advised when it is back in place.
Hi, 1st step in doing the Shires Treasure series.
Looked for this for quite some time and only found take away container.
I definitely think this is muggled. Please check it out.

I must admit disappointment with this - it really isn't the greatest introduction to Australia's birthplace! A rubbish-strewn GZ, no cache to be seen despite extensive searching. I guess this puts the Shire Treasure series at risk. Not keen to pursue the Shire Gold!
It would have payed to have read some of the previous logs, I'm guessing it's not there,
After spending about 2 Half hours looking, we hadn't uncovered the cache i strongly suggest Elizabeth that you check this!!!
Didn't turn up in all the trash, and I wasn't motivated to keep looking.
There was driving rain and I couldn't bring myself to dig around in the used nappies.
Needs a cache check and probably a relocation.

wonderful spot for plane spotting & Cptn (Lt) Cook following but sadly no cache. Found a very clean but equally empty take away container & the tree debris must get deep quickly but we are getting pretty good with thrashing an area with sticks. Thanks for bringing us here - we picked Cronulla to stay 3 nights on the density & variety of the hides - but this one may be gone.
Has someone seen my TB GPS Smurf in this cache recently? It should be still in there according to the logs...
Hard to get precisely onto the GZ because of thick bushes but I'm pretty sure I scoured the area. There's a fair bit of trash in the area and a few times I thought I had it, only to find that I had uncovered a used take-away box or bottle.
Cache was empty except for log. After signing log and while in the process of returning found the coin that is logged to this location. On further inspection found a few other things that looked like they belong in the cache.
TFTC, it may need some monitoring.

After having no luck with this at it's previous spot on a weekend visit due to picnicking muggles, I went out there today after finishing a job at the refinery about lunchtime. Still people around but only had to wait for one couple to walk past before I could grab it for a quick find. Took TB, left geocoin. Thanks!

I have moved this cache now for the 3rd time.Yes this cache had been muggled, and the area was such a mess from people dmping their junk in the that area. It is just a shame how we have geocachig to bring people to lovely places like this, and the area's get ruined by unthoughtful people.
The new cache is currently in a junk free area, stocked wth some swaps and travel bugs, though there is no pen (as I did not have one at the time).

This cache needs maintenance, signed the same bit of paper the Hancock Clan did.
Please Elizabeth, could you forward on the code number via email.

All we found was The Hancock Clan's small note, nothing else but rubbish as they have said.
This one's in big need of some tlc. The container's been trashed and the area has become a rubbish dump.
This one's in need of some maintenance!!!
After spending half an hour sifting through dirty nappies, beer bottles and lots more rubbish at GZ we had just given up when the phone went and it was Mr Usat31. Lo and behold he was in Kurnell on business so it was back to GZ for a second look. Eventually, Mr Usat found the remains of the cache container. Not really wanting to search through this area again we decided to sign and leave a piece of paper in a small waterproof resealable bag and log a find.
We replaced the cache upside down with a rock on it as we couldn't find the lid.
What a shame that GZ turned out to be such a mess as it's a very nice location otherwise.

Hmm, no luck here! Nice muggle free rainy afternoon with only the roar of jets to accompany us but sadly no find after about an hour of searching... There has been lots of muggle activity around all of the potential hiding spots under the trees here and there are a few empty plastic containers around, not to mention the tonnes of rubbish. Didn't find, but lucked out with an aerobie and a boomerang, plus a bag full of rubbish, so not a total disaster!
The start of an unsuccesful caching day for me, arrived at GZ to find muggles had set up their picnic blanket right next to the relevant tree. So no chance to have a look. Still been years since I have been down here, I remember when the sand dunes used to be right next to the road.
Shame they have all disappeared, but if you want to find them head to Waikiki.
Cheers

I moved this once to a near by spot due to previous logs. Unfortunatley there is rubbish everywhere in this lovely park, though this spot is more concealed.

The smell of urine and other human by products as well as other waste was not a nice thing to be greeted by here. The para sailors made up for it though, those kites are quite large!

Out giving geodaughter 'Smallpipes' a driving lesson and dropped by this cache.
Nice condom left but not needed by me as 2 kids are a good enough contraceptive. TNSLLN TFTC

Quick find, my son found it. But agree looks a lot like rubbish, and a lot around there. Enjoyed watching the para-sailors.
Found at 1430hrs. Nice location however as per the previosu logs this cahe will be collected as rubbsih, it needs some natural camo. However a great location and great effort and the Shire tour. [:p]

Oh dear - did you really hide it under that? This one will be gone in the next Clean Up Australia campaign. I think you need to re-hide this one & use some different 'natural' camo. As others have said, it currently looks just like another piece of beach rubbish.
Rescued the Pirate TB from the cache.

Dropped off Jono to soccer at Solander Park and then off for a quick visit to Kurnell on a cool, but clear morning. Found the cache, but realised I'd lost my pen on the way in and had to improvise. On the bright side, found a dollar on the way out.
Left Captain Dexter Pirate TB...He's looking to get overseas, at least from here he can see the airport!
TNLNSL, thanks for the cache,
best wishes,
Wal

Easy find especially when it is exposed like it was. May need to be hidden a bit better. Great location.

Too easy...if we were not looking for it, the container would be passed off as just another piece of beach debris.
GPS co-ords were spot on.
Geokids thrilled again by the secret treasure. They liked the helicopter...but...we couldnt take it..because eldest geokid didnt want to part with his swap. Hummm..must teach geokid the concept of swapping.
Lovely location...worth the drive.

Quick call Mulder and Scully, alert the Twilight Zone this cache was placed 50 metres from our 50th cache find.
Not only did we find a cache here before we use to spend a many a freezing winter day sailing off the beach in the westerly winds during winter when the area was packed with sailboards.
On a side note sailboards now use GPS to record their speed for speed sailing.
Once the cache was finished we nicked out to look for whales and while waiting for them to turn up we spotted a Shy Albatross and an Eastern Reef Egret. Then the whales arrived and we counted seven before it was time to head home.

What a great spot, but it was very windy today. This would be a great place on a hot summers day. I wonder if people come here for a swim? No muggles or muggle dogs anywhere today and the search was accomplished easily. GZ is very sheltered from the wind. Didn't see any strange things in the bushes except for a tiny lizard. The cache was easily found cause it was largely exposed. Not sure if these type of containers are going to last very long at all, especially the lid. One downpour and the cache will be flooded.
A lot of hard work has gone into the cache descriptions, it would be a shame to see the cache deteriorate so quickly, and the loss of a great GZ.
Thanks for showing me a part of Kurnell I'd only wondered about.

Took 7 geokids to find this one. This was the first cache find for 6 of them. we may have some more converts! TNLNSL
Dropped by afer a dissapointing loss by the sharkies this weekend. Back to Canberra now.
Nice spot, thousands of dogs today.

The cache was located easily enough but I was concerned about what else we may have stumbled upon in the surrounding bushes. It seems like a few parties are held in the nearby areas. TFTC
I remember coming here to watch the planes fly overhead when I was a bit younger, brings back some funny memories.
This is my 200th cache find, thanks to Bushy2233 for helping me reach another milestone.
I'm sure there will be many more to come.
Thanks for the FTF
