As I am an employee of the Council to which has imposed the public closure on this area due to the bats. This cache will be out of action for an undisclosed period of time.
Sorry fellow cachers, but there is a serious health risk for humans related to the bats in this area.

Bats are somewhat of a problem, was raining bat urine but I found it. Thanks The Bax
Them bats stink! What a search. New were we had to go but we decided not ti look for the path and went bush. Once we got to gz we located cache pretty quick. Thank you for the cache
Found this one after a little bit of fossicking. Another little hidden gem in Nambucca, pity about the bats though, they are certainly vocal. Thanx Bax for a great hide
It took a bit to find as I started my search on the wrong bank. A nice little walk through the trees. Found with Tweety14, TFTC
We had been out for the day to Trial Bay Goal and exploring other areas near to Coffs Harbour where we were holidaying from Queensland. We arrived about 5pm and the nearby fruit bats were making quite a bit of noise as we meandered along the track toward ground zero. This is a very interesting area and we had no difficulty locating the cache. Thank you for having placed the cache The Bax.
Wow...never seen a flying fox colony before!...lovely walk, thanks for bringing me here...co-ords wandering but eventually made the find....TFTC
Took quite a lot of searching for this one. GPS had me wandering all over the country side
Returned to base to review logs and came across spoiler
Finally located cache, filled in log and replaced
Picked up a tick from GZ so be careful
Try and avoid treading in bat droppings on the walk as its damn sticky and so hard to get off of footwear
By the way the lid is NOT blue
Thanks for the find

A few caches up the coast with lunch and shopping at Nambucca Heads with Bettyboo. (I scored two Phantom comics and an electronics mag!)
What an interesting spot! No information to mark the trail in, lucky there is a cache there!
Interesting history of the Well.
Lots of bats in the trees as walked the path today.
Thanks for the clue as I suspect the GPSr wouldn't have been too good under such growth.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 4501. This is our last day staying at SW Rocks so Robmc and I headed northwards towards Nambucca Heads to see some places we haven't seen before and to find some caches. We were impressed by Stuarts Point and Scotts Head and hopefully will return again, to stay and to snorkel. There were some great scenic sea views to be had today with the strong winds and wild waves.
This cache was a surprise here in the middle of Nambucca Heads. Found a poor little bat lying on the foothpath that may have got caught in the tennis court fence. There were certainly a lot squeaking in the high branches as we walked to GZ. What a find here in the forest. It would be interesting to see it in the wet with water flowing through the channels and creeks etc. Thanks to the hint we made a quick find here. Took the Polar Bear TB that hasn't been logged in yet. Will wait a few more days. Left Nothing. TFTC

A steamy day in the rain forest but eventually came up with the right log. Dropped off a polar bear. TFTC.
Found on our trip back to Canberra from the Gold Coast. Walked from our cabin last night to this one along all the boardwalks, but it was getting dark so we had to abort. We then drove here this morning and had another short walk down to GZ, with the bats above us. Love the history here, such a cool place to visit with the rainforest surrounding it. Followed the same path to GZ for a quick find this time. Nice hide, we looked there last night but couldn't spot it - so don't look at night! Great cache, but came away with lots of mozzie bites. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Find #2060 @ 1454 Hrs...
Out for a bit of a drive today heading out & about to some lesser known areas...
This was one of the caches on my radar so was happy to be able to turn it into a 'smilie'...
An enjoyable drive in the 4x4 followed by an enjoyable stroll to GZ... Another of those spot's that I would never have discovered if it wasn't for caching.... Thanks The Bax for bringing me here...
Took: Nothing Left: Nothing Signed Log
~ Cache Condition - Fine...

Found with Nudge74 & Doogle06 after a big day caching. Last time I attempted this one was in torrential rain do I pulled the pin. Thanks CO. Nice spot!
Up here buying a motor bike. Grab cache as a celebration. If bats are mocturnal when do they sleep? Nice hide. A lttle sactuary. Needed the clues. Tftc. Fav from me.
Just the sort of spot that geocaching takes you to that you would otherwise not know about. The well was overflowing nicely and sending water on down the creek. There was no water to be seen above the well though.
A fairly quick find of the cache was made after we searched the wrong end first.
Thanks.

Lovely cool rainforest area with lots of birds. Almost overthought this, then the phone rang and spotted the cache while answering it. Just as 'well', I wasn't cherishing the idea of going where I first thought. TFTC The Bax, love the history of this cache.
Took a bit of looking but following the clues it was found in it's resting place. All dry, Tamworth emblem is still there.

The well was a fascinating spot, the trek into GZ wet, muddy and slippery. I have left a path tag found in Tamworth and country music pin.
Lovely little Rainforest and such a significant part of Nambuccas history
Took traveling Dave TB
Thanks The Bax for such a great location

Staying with friends in brougham road valla they were keen to take part in our hobby. Pete got to the cache as I did not have the appropriate footwear. Mon had never been here living in v for 12 years. T y f c. Sallyanny
Night falls quite abruptly up here! But Heroic Harrowang braved the water dragons and the spiders, and all the other unknown 'scaries' we couldn't see by torchlight and retrieved the cache while we fearful females applauded.. Nice hide.. Thankyou.. Possibly even better in the daylight!
As we come from quite a bit further south of here, we have been choosing caches that have trackables in them in the hope that we can take them further south. Unfortunately most of the TB's & GC' s seem to be MIA. Beatiebrooks and the harrowang's decided on one last cache for the day just on dusk as we made our way back to the caravan park. Mr harrowang took his torch and disappeared down the path to the well keeping a lookout for water dragon lizards and green tree snakes in the gathering darkness. Fortunately he only found a cache with a log to sign at 8pm. TFTC The Bax We are on the last leg of our Record Break NSW Trip and are making our way back to beatiebrooks home in the Maitland area tomorrow. #1431
Found by my son and i. Told my 10yo son to look for it first at the spot, and couldn't see it. His eyes must be painted on. I showed him where it was and he was so excited being his first cache. Took a butterfly sticker and left a Dora whistle. Great hide! Cheers, Blakesaxon.
A quick find while exploring Nambucca Heads where we spent two nights.
This was an interesting piece of history.

We enjoyed the walk v. pretty. We didn't venture too close to the flying fox colony.
Hi found the remains of the cache, has been destroyed by vandals. Sorry did not have items to fix.
This was an amazing walk along this board walk, & along the creek bed.
We have stayed at the caravan park but had not discovered this gem.
Cache had appeared to have been muggled so replaced log & added to the bag & goodies found near by.

Again geocaches have taken us to a little park we've never been to but driven past a few times before. Found the cache easily enough. Geoson took the shiny purple stone. Then we walked back to the car past a few hundred fruit bats TFTC!
Geohubby found this in the middle of a thunderstorm whilst I waited bravely in the car. He emerged triumphant but with a very soggy shoe after stepping into a very large muddy puddle. The log book was also very wet so he secured it the best he could. A replacement book may be on the cards. TFTC JenneG & Budgy
Nice walk along foreshore. Container has holes eaten by animals. Very wet log. Tftc TNLN
Lovely little spot. History is amazing isn't it? Nature as well! Thanks The Bax.
After a DNF at the lookout, and an enjoyable dip into a remnant of rainforest I found the old log across the gully protecting the creek. Found it, SL. Very damp inside the container including the log book. Container has a couple of holes in its base and needs replacing. SL Grabbed a trackable from the previous finder of this cache. TFTC here. cloudglider

Heavy rain has caused some flooding and area has been cleaned up by Council workers to remove debris.A thorough search revealed nothing, although we found a beautiful part of Nambucca that we otherwise would not have found.
Having a look at Nambucca heads today. What a beautiful spot. Found this cache whilst there. The logbook is pretty damp, needs drying out. TFTC
Found with Mrdamage and Skypirate~. Thanks for the cache. I slipped over on my butt on the walkway it was still wet from the rain. The cache container was not real good. My butt hurt for ages..
Located with AuroraEve and SkyPirate~ 4:35 PM. TFTC The container had a hole in it and contents are damp. Probably should be maintained soon. Nice area we came after rain so quite wet and damp area.
Nice to get out of the heat of the sun for this one...lovely walk..been past many many times, never went it...glad i did...cache has been attacked by rats..dried things out and replaced bag but needs new container as has a big hole in it..TFTC The Bax
Found this one with earthly65..rats have gnawed a large hole in container..water getting in..new bag and dry atm but new container required!TFTC The Bax
Found by Geocache Dad (Glenn). Need your hiking shoes, but a short walk. VERY VERY SLIPPERY IN THE WET OR JUST AFTER RAIN....watch out for the flying foxes....
After visiting family in the area we thought we'd do a little geocaching before heading home. Thanks for bringing us to this nice little park. TFTC!
Rats have eaten through the cache container and the ziplock bag. Log very moist. I must make myself a cache helper kit for situations like this.
Very moist. Tftc. Great little walk.

Found the Well after finding the cache. Never knew there was such a cool coastal rainforest in Nambucca! TFTC

The rain abated a little so we headed up the path. So many bats in the trees overhead and not only the creek but the path were flowing due the heavy rain. Log a little damp. Would never have known this lovely walk was here so TFTC.
Found today on a great fathers day caching trip up from Port Macquarie.
After enjoying hot chip sangas at the V Wall, we moved on and parked rigth at the bend in the road.
Wandered down to the well, got some photos and geodad turned to the cache. Soon found the old lunchbox, and had read some previous logs about needing a new container, so it now has a new lease on life. TNLN except new container
Cheers from Browngang
